Difficult to say, but my picks are:

- Elixir (already mooned, but can still go to Jupiter based on the support from community, usefulness and tech. Bright 2018 ahead)
- PRL (same as Elixir)
- XSPEC (best privacy coin if you ask me, low market cap and tomorrow they update their website and wallet, which I think are part of the marketing campaign that it lacks)
- KCS (nice and steady growth, and Kucoin is becoming one of the best exchange sites out there)
- MONK (be careful with this one. I believe in this project, good dev and tech, support from the community, and extremely low market cap. Could moon anytime, but I wouldn't invest too much. Risky investment, but potential huge ROI)
- COSS (steady growth. Don't think it's going to moon, but can give nice profit)
- SHIFT (great project and tech, if it gets listed on bigger exchange sites it could easily moon)
- XRB (already went to moon and returned, but may enter Binance and that could give it a big push. And its tech is top notch).
- DENT (not so low market cap, but nice dev team and tech, and big news for Q1)

I don't know why, but I keep reading comments about Stratis but haven't done a serious research about it. I guess its large market cap just drove me away, but I can't ignore it anymore. I think you can invest in the ADA. XVG. TRX. APPAC. These are the coin I think it will be x2-x5 in 2018. They are very promising and will be a surprise in cryptop

If you want a true profit like  x100 or more, you have to buy coins which are on less known exchanges and wait out.
(ITNS) Intense coin is one of them, i am holder of this coin and i strongly believe after it hits a larger exchange it will skyrocket. i got in on it then price was 30sat, recently it was at 420 ATH.
It is a privacy coin and  2018 will be about privacy coins. Devs are working on decentralized VPN client so the coin will have purpose.

UNIFY probably was not noticed because there was no ICO. They grow step by step.

Just the direct contact with the team is already worth gold. That is rare. More exchanges are planned :) as well as the big ones. At the moment, the developers are working on the products. (Crowfundingplatform and so on)

I have bought about two coins recently and I think based on my own review, there are going to do very well in 2018. Outside stratis and TRON that I have purchased I have other good coins that I may likely buy in days to come as I have fund. Ripple is going to do well in 2018 because there was a speculation that it might replace bitcoin in terms of dominant crypto currency.  Wave, lisk, ethereum classic and bitconnect are some of the coins I am currently watching.

Nice choice, I guess one of that coins you been chosen are successful touch the amount you've been given in the future. I'm sure there's a lot of crypto currency are race to increase their value in the market.

In my own speculation ethereum and bitcoin cash are the coins who granted high value before end of this year. Because more users are holding and keeping this coin for the reason of unexpectedly raising up of price.

I prefer asian blockchain giants managed by well known and high reputable CEO's, my favorites are NEO and EOS. Like IOTA but don't see any actual progress, just speculative news about new partnerships.

ethereum,xrp, and xlm is a coin worth buying and invested before prices come getting high again this year. before the price is getting high again then just buy now.

I'm not sure if it's going to the moon, but Smartcash should do well this year. It has already started to move a bit.

Not sure if 2018 or 2019, but Karbo and Gulden are awesome long-term investments, because they aim to expand on real existing markets, not some ephemeral app token system.
For 2018 I'd definitely go for NEO, ARK, ETH and REQ. First three are platforms that getting more popular for ICOs and the last one solves real problem in the crypto world.

Now, I think the coolest altcoin is ethereum. ethereum prices are rising, the rate of ethereum growth is higher than bitcoin and other currencies. If there is capital I would choose to invest in ethereum, investors are focusing on ethereum. In the future, ethereum prices will be higher than bitcoin prices. Wish you have a smart choice in investing.

Most of people recommend very unpopular coins, that's pretty strange since investing in them is a rather risky decision. I would recommend bitcoin (there's no doubt we'll see it doubling the price in months) and ripple (I now it sort of mooned already, but I believe it can reach its previous record, thus giving the investors 3x profit).
Whereas Waves at least offers a good platform for creating tokens (freeing one even from the need to be good at programming), I really don't understand why people believe in Stratis. Their whitepaper is very weak, mostly telling about general things like blockchain and smart contracts!

It really depends on what you're looking for, if you're looking for long term profits then you can buy some of the top coins and forget about them, but if what you want to do is to obtain the most profit that you can then it could be a good idea to invest in coins that are outside of the top 100 and maybe even lower if you really want a coin to skyrocket and give to you incredible profits.

There are many factors but in my opinion the most important are without a doubt the developers, developers of a coin can make or break the project if they are any good then you have a chance to make money but if they are not then the chances to make money are very low.

do not settle for any alts if you want to have a good profit in holdings you should settle for the bitcoin itself because of the good price of it in the market before it falls down lately. Since we are expecting the price to have a good value before the year ends it is better to hold bitcoin rather than any alts because alts needs to be hold a year after it will be listed on exchange.

The problem with ICO is that there are a lot of them and because they decrease with exchange listing people choose to hold their holdings in Ethereum, instead of investing in an ICO.

In order to win the arms race with 1890 other crypto projects

a project must have USP (unique selling proposition)

More beneficial for the initial investor is to get entered in such a project at a very low mcap for maximum potential gains (penny stocks)

One of those super undervalued projects is Spectrecoin

Do your own research to understand why, but main reason is a possibility of staking while staying completely anonymous receiving anonymous stakes - new Stealth Staking algo or Proof-of-Stealth

A Small Crypto Coin Is Making Big Claims About a Private Proof-of-Stake

A lot of ICO coins are pure speculation with no working product (hence the ICO to fund). In these bearish times I think people realise the values were way off for these projects and the day may never come.

I'll agree on Spectrecoin - full disclosure I have invested a small amount. It's high risk but very real chance of high reward. It's current rank is criminal.

For me the rationale for privacy coins is clear. The 'need' has not been realised yet, but will. Then it comes down to what is the most private (with acceptable transaction fees) and speed to a certain extent.

Look into the detail of most privacy coins and you'll see their weakest link is not adequately protecting the sender, Spectrecoin does this better than any privacy coin I'm aware of.

Uniquely the main value in the market of crypto currency is the etherium, because more than 90% of all ico companies use the erc20 platform. In addition, there is a hard fork at the end of 2018, which today shows the etherium. As an output investment.

I’m literally trying to load up on privacy coins at the moment as I think that’s where the demand will start moving towards in the next 18 months.

Monero (xmr)
Pivx
Phore (PHR)

Spectrecoin is the one I have the most anticipation for, it’s current rank is criminal and is only a matter of time before it starts getting the recognition it deserves. I also like the fact you can get minimum 5% per year for staking.

Since we are expecting the price to have a good value before the year ends it is better to hold bitcoin rather than any alts because alts needs to be hold a year after it will be listed on exchange.
