Title: Bitcoinrebate.com community toolbar -Now with chrome extension!
Post by: Anonymous on January 10, 2011, 12:08:05 PM
http://bitcoinrebate.com (http://bitcoinrebate.com)

I created this toolbar which contains all the bitcoin links to make it easier to find things.

Includes bitcoin rebates and an inbuilt claim form.

Links for all the main irc chans .

Apps,Trade,Mybitcoin,Currency conversion and Charts.

In future I intend to add a bitcoin app to the conduit marketplace which has 250 million users.

Pm me if I missed anything obvious  :)

Feedback welcome!

I can add all of the links to this thread or to the facebook page linked in the toolbar.

You could then add this thread to your favourites and have the same functionality as the toolbar.

Would you like a forum directory with all of your favourite bitcoin links?

This is the aim of building it into your browser but I am open to a thread directory.  :)

Hey, I like this a lot.  Maybe you should add the map of exchangers (http://www.bitcoinmap.com) under the Exchange menu.

What is the significance of the built-in search field?  Do you or I get Bitcoins for searching?

Added bitcoinmap.

I wanted to remove the search bar but instead used it for a custom search. I added the forum, the wiki, and trade pages so the first results come from those sites.

Just click on the dropdown box for the options and you will see a bitcoin logo. You can also minimise the search and add extra buttons if you want.

Heres a deal I can do for anyone who installs the toolbar.
Using the built in claim form send me your bitcoin address and you will get a .01 btc reward after you install.

I'm missing something probably, but how exactly should the "rebate" thing work  ???

I downloaded the toolbar and I can click on the "rebate" button.
I select a site, like "Amazon.de 2% rebate".

What is supposed to happen then, I don't see any links, web page or anything changing in the toolbar.

Got the IE version on Vista 64bit.

Other things seem to work normally (like the Weather app, other buttons etc.)

So, could you create a Google Chrome extension version? Please??! Or is the extra work not worth the effort (no sarcasm intended)?

Done!  Now you can install a chrome extension.

Idea: add the functionality of this module: https://www.bitcoin.org/smf/index.php?topic=1411.0 to this toolbar.

Briefly: the module should parse the page to find valid bitcoin addresses and substitute it by a link for one click payment
