Asus rx 470 mining edition on windows claymore 10.2 hashrate 29.3 Mhs.

Same gpu, same bios, same setting (i think) on ethos 28.2 Mhs

its just a difference of hashrate between different os
you will need to fine tune card in ethos to get those hashrate
but i will still suggest to stick with windows

Windows or linux they will produce same hashrate. Linux will be more stable. You just need to make correct settings. ccminer has intensity settings. If you do not set it it will get default value . But to get max hash you should increase it .

Ethos actually is pretty stable for mining.
