I was curious about your top 5 coins. Mines are:

XMR
ZEC
What about you ?

BTC XRP ETH QTUM IPFS, these five tokens are my answer, I think IPFS and QTUM have great potential, but I also Bullish on the first three cryptocurrencies.

My personal top 5 are:

1) ICON
2) EOS
3) IOTA
4) OMG
5) Ethereum

1,2 - I beleive them to be the nextgen Blockchain
3 - feeless, fast, minerless - great choice for the concept of Internet of Things
4 - Vitalik Buterin is an advisor of project. OMG goal is to connect fiat and crypto worlds.
5 - ETH haven't show it's potential yet.

You have a very solid list, if i were you i would have added more, like new blockchain projects aion, ada, icon etc.

In terms of speculation Ripple is good  - it will definitely be promoted further. Now a temporary correction.
In terms of maintaining and gradually increasing the funds, ETH are better than all.
For the contribution to promising coins, I chose the GTO and the Substratum.

I hold some good potential & future good coin.

you can buy any altcoin you want. if your goal is to make profit, then you have to observe all the prices. there is still a chance to buy and sell with profit. or just you take 10 top coins in market to get profit

I will suggest to go on coinmarketcap and select from top 100. Still I will go for First is Ether because Ethereum is an open software platform based on blockchain technology that enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications.And now a days you can see many many ICO coming with Ethereum platform.Second is Bitcoin, because bitcoin is the mother currency of all coin and its ever green currency,and the third in this list is Steller, Fourth is Cardano, and the last the fifth is NEO.

Bitcoin, Monero and Byteball. Three very different things, each being best in it's field in my opinion. :) They are based on actual working technology and not just promises. At least with Bitcoin and Monero, I don't have to fear the price crashing overnight. Even if it crashes, it will return, because the technology has much use.

I agree with you about Ripple, there's definitely a lot of hype behind it and it has huge potential.

But overall, I think it's still too early to say. Who knows? Maybe the "best one" still hasn't come out. I guess only time will tell.

2018 would be a delightful year to watch since 2017 brought us so much of benefits with the increased gains in almost all the coins.
This year my 5 best coins that might gain good profits would be

You might not know some of these coins since they are in their initial stages of trading. I am quite sure they will surely get at least 10x times increase in price from the price they are at now.

My coins are Litecoin, Maidsafe, NEM, NXT and Ethereum. I like to use coins that been here for longer than 3 years.

I think that it is worthwhile to participate in ICO Arcblock, because this project has accumulated a lot of HYIP in a short time. Look at the telegram - they have about 15,000 participants. This project will definitely bring profit.

My favourite coin is definitely ethereum. I like its stability and good price. Also I really like bitcoin, litecoin, waves and IOTA. And finally, maybe ripple, because it gave good profit opportunities in 2017 but do not like it as much as before.

My top 5 coins for short term are different from top 5 long-term coins. For short-term trading, i choose coins that are ready to pump after so many days of sideways action and this kind of sudden pump after consolidation will give you easy returns of 15%-20% per trade. Best 5 coins for short-term trade are IOTA, Siacoin, Stratis, Neocoin, Waves. And for longer term investment you need to choose coins based on their stable trend and volatility which will save your profits from eroding away during the deeper correction and for this, I choose coins like Dash, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and bitshares.

You can put more new projects to you list. They have a better chance to grow x10-x100, for example:

1) Elf
2) ITC

 Just look through projects with a market cap 20-50mil on CMC - a lot of treasures are hidden there)

I think the best coin is bitcoin. Also I like Stellar, IOTA and Ethereum. For long time investments, I think ethereum and bitcoin are the best choices.

I am expecting eth and neo much more in this age because I trust waves are very quiet for a few months

I'm looking at TRX, RDD, POE, and AST right now. I really like the projects and think they are super undervalued. VERY strong dev and finance teams behind each coin as well. Thoughts?

I think top 5 cryptocurrency in 2018 is:
1. Ethereum
2. Ethos
3. Eidoo

I'm definitely going to keep the etherium, as this is one of the most promising coins to date, even despite its large capitalization.

Now there are a lot of projects on its infrastructure, so it will definitely grow even more.

I'm getting into different blockchains. Eth, Utn, Arcblock and the like.

For me BTC and ETH that two best investment in cryptocurrencies, this two dominant in the market. Their price grow and shine fast more than others.
Actually all cryptocurrencies is good for long term investment. The price will be up step by step. No 3 for me IOTA.
