I sent btc from cex.io over a week ago and it remained unconfirmed. When I went to check on that transaction, in the hopes it was confirmed I received a message saying "Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: Transaction was previously accepted but has been pruned from our database". So, I looked up the wallet it was being sent to and it showed up in another transaction with with 23 confirmations, but I have not received the btc. Upon looking further they are identical transactions, the only difference is the new one has a higher fee with it. I was hoping somebody could explain what happened and if there is anything I can do. If the transaction is confirmed and is visible on the block explorer when searching your address, it isn't their fault. The fault is with your wallet. What wallet are you using? But, I am pretty sure that most exchanges change addresses, but all old addresses are still valid. You need to contact support at the exchange and get them to check it. On the facts you have stated it looks like something has gone wrong at their end because as you say old addresses are normally still valid. Good luck.
