Title: The ideal cryptocurrency. What should it be?
Post by: AndreyBelts on January 15, 2018, 07:00:42 AM

I think, we need a new topic.

To gather into it all the problems that our community faces when working with crypto-currencies and understand: what should it be - " the ideal crypto currency"?
And, why do we need it?

The first problem. Uncontrolled growth of the commission for the transaction.

The second problem. A sharp slowdown in transaction speed, due to increased load on the system.

Add problems. Everybody is invited. ::)

The third problem - centralization.
Cloud mining, mining pools where the most mining power is concentrated; exchanges that concentrate cryptocurrency and are popular sources of buying/selling cryptocurrencies.

The fourth problem - lack of anonymity.
Exchanges again - you need to provide personal info to be registered on some of them.

Does anyone agree with that? :P

Ideal cryptocurrency is linked with real world;) U must be able to buy it everywhere and spend it everywhere with low commissions from your phone in one two clicks)

The block is not congested, the transfer speed is fast, I think this is the most ideal state, the block data is synchronized fast.

Any platform that has a good working product, that is Decentralized and that works for the community and society as a whole would be the ideal cryptocurrency.

Well, yeah, but all things considered. What would you say is the ideal cryptocurrency right now then? Despites the faults.

Haha, I don't know about everywhere, since a lot of places already accept BTC but I think that's the true end goal.

What are the requirements?  I would say ideal cryptocurrency should be fast, near 0 fees and stable in price.

But I dont care much about decentralisation, so have missed that out.  Many are more interested in making money so price volatility would not concern them.

Techincally speaking, if you want something fast, low fee and decentralised you probably need to make it genuinely peer to peer, remove the blockchain from the client.  A distributed blockchain with common access.  I could see something like a coin that exists on one of the storage crypto frameworks being ideal.

The ideal cryptocurrency would vary depending on who you ask.
It's all a matter of what ICO you decide to invest in.
A good habit is to look at ICO reviews & ratings before investing.

https://cryptorated.com/ico-reviews/ (https://cryptorated.com/ico-reviews/) is a great place to start!

Yes, i'm agree. But....
On the other hand, the anonymity of clients allows exchanges to steal money from their accounts with impunity.

I believe that modifying the algorithm of the blockchain (primarily a mechanism to harmonize transactions) for speed post transactions - possible.

So true! It needs to work in the real world otherwise it's pointless. It needs to be accepted by the community.

"Limited quantity" it not a goal, it's inflation protection. Right?

First of all it should be easy to use. I mean that it should be fast and have low transaction fees.
Secondly, it should be accepted as widely as bank cards.
Thirdly, it has to be easy to earn, because only a few people can afford themselves mining and trading.

That depends on your needs, The transaction fees will straight with the price of the coin itself. Remember when bitcoin worth only double-digit of dollars and the transaction fees is really cheap. that means we need the platform with a big scale of scalability.

That's why there is a lot of platforms are trying to develop a better future platform with great scalability.

Supposedly an ideal cryptocurrencies is a crypto that can support all the financial activities we have. Transaction speed is a problem now. As happens with bitcoin, the time required for each bitcoin transaction is prolonged. This is indeed a factor of the increasing number of transactions owned by bitcoin and this can also happen to other coins. There should be a way to improve that, we must continue to work on developing bitcoins and cryptocurrencies. Do not get any obstacles and problems when we use cryptocurrencies. Because without any obstacles then cryptocurrencies can develop and can be widely used in the future. And the most ideal is a cryptocurrencies that can be used anytime, anywhere and with transaction speeds of just seconds.

this is a very complicated topic i think.

The word CRYPTO can mean both a single ideal coin and can also be applied in general terms like blockchain.

what do we want from a single ideal crypto?
what bitcoin is with some added extras like low fees and fast transaction times so we can spend and send.
but if we have that single ideal crypto are we actually going to spend it?
probably not

so what about the general crypto option?
no one coin or crypto can fulfill the potential of the blockchain.
look at all the decentralised and centralised projects already being worked on,
one single ideal crypto cannot be used for all

I'm sure everyone wants the ideal crypto is that crypto has a price that always rises, has a small fee, and if something happens, the crypto will remain stable.
People want something that can be controlled, and I think it's impossible as long as people can't controle themselves

There are some coins that they are making t centralized there must be a Coin nor token that can make transaction from point to point really quick. Anonymity for everyone makijg transactions really peer to peer.

An ideal cryptocurrency is can adopt by the mass. If the coin has a high transaction fee and slow confirmation this is not the real one can provide to the whole world. I hope bitcoin is doing good and ethereum.

I think this is very subjective but ii'll throw my 2cents in for what it's worth.

It would be the currency of a solid project, one with good business acumen and a strong team behind it.
It would be scalable, fast and fees would be cheap.
It would be able to be used in the 'real world'.
It would be easy and understandable to use and it's worth plain to see.

I suppose that it's almost impossible to create ideal currency which able to satisfy all the requests of the 'real world'.

Consumers, business and governments have different (and sometimes incompatible) requirements to the currency.

The ideal is seldom achievable (or it is never achievable).
But the movement to an ideal - an essence development of our community.
Reading different topics, I faced negative reviews of use of cryptocurrencies.
I think, that it is time to collect opinions on that was would like from cryptocurrency by those who already use it.
It will be useful for those who plans to start something on a blockchain.

they do bring a particular coin to gain 400% in a day and after 2-3 hours the price will fluctuates and make it dump immediately

The  ideal cryptocurrency is those user friendly and easily to learn and gain, with great value and applicable to all kind of wallet  and trading site's and in times of transaction its easy to gain success and no more traffic in block chain,i thinks this is the things we need to improve in cryptocurrency, for better services with fast and reliable transaction in the market place.I thinks maybe this traffic problem would resolve if those segwit2x would implemented those previous year, but that system will postponed or maybe diminished.

Part of the reason BTC is worth 20k is because it was fairly launched unike any and all ICO's. (or premined coins)

Rule no. 1
Launch the coin fairly.
ALL ICO's fail at that by design .

If it's not launched fairly then the coin itself doesn't matter at all.

Decentralized structure is needed but anonymous structure is not a must for me. I also need a solid team with trusted members with open identity. No need to hide themselves. And the blockchain transactions should be extremely fast.

I say look at other currencies and their related systems.
Because that is what a crypte-coin will have to compete with.

Ask yourselves how do you send money.. what methods have you used ?
How fast was it and what benefits did it have and how was the security and speed etc ?

That should be the starting point of what we need in a "coin".
I say that because of the guy commenting saying it should be fast.
Uhmm yeah.. duh  :D
If it does not compete with the "old way" of doings things then whats the point ?
And will people use it ?

You should be careful also when investing to some cryptocurrencies and trading it. You must be sure if the project is going to moon or not. You can read the roadmap and if there's a website then its for sure it will be successful. Also be careful when they are always active in some groups but there's no improvements in their website or other task.

The ideal cryptocurrency for me should be hearing majority of  his community. Because community is the first supporters of the altcoin. Aside from that it has a bigger number of followers in twitter & facebook and has a good whitepaper and roadmap.
