Title: Using segwit wallets
Post by: LtMotioN on January 16, 2018, 09:49:44 AM
Hi Guys
So as I understand BTC already supports segwit and we just need to use wallets that support it for lower fees ? Are there any mainstream ones that support it yet?

I am hoping exchanges follow suite and start running it too so we can all enjoy a better version of BTC

Ledger Nano S and Trezor suport SegWit (both are reputable hardware wallets)

Best of luck. Yea hardware wallets aren't worth getting if you're not holding much value(probably <$100). Though take note that whatever wallet you use doesn't matter if you don't know how to store your private keys. Just write your seed down on a piece of paper, or purchase a CryptoSteel[1].

Hi there,
With Wirex we offer SegWit Wallets that you can use on your phone free of charge. And if you know anyone else using wirex, you can send bitcoins directly to them with ZERO Fees. Here at Wirex, we believe that the only thing holding bitcoin back is the high transaction fees that is stunting its growth.
