I have 5,2 btc, i had 4 and i made 1,2 btc in trading last 4 weeks. Is it a good time to sell  now, or you guys think it can go higher?

My concern is chinese new year will make it even lower

it is impossible to say for sure but there is the possibility of a bigger fall.
generally speaking January is a month of confusion for bitcoin price, usually there is a lot of sideway movement during this time. and as you said we have the Chinese new year coming (in a couple of weeks if i am not mistaken) which can mean a bit of a selling spree.

No one know the price of the currency in the future, if you think there will decline so now you can sell, buy back at just the right time in the future, may also after the price is higher and higher, more high price you have to spend money now to buy back

why made you say that the upcoming Chines New Year will make the Bitcoin price lower? I'm just curious if what is your basis behind it. As for your question, just have patience and believe in your coins. Do not do something that you will surely regret later. Just hold your coins and wait till this bloodbath is over. After that, everything will be back to normal.

This is not the first time when the price of bitcoin falls. I am sure that it is long. Chinese new year will not affect the price of bitcoin. The celebration does not need a lot of money. The Chinese have enough Fiat to celebrate the holidays. Bitcoin is a means for accumulation of free money.

your prediction could be correct, because now the bitcoin prices have fallen far to 7k now at 11.5k price is not it already want ahead of china new year

You can sell it if you already earn but if i have that kind of btc i will still hold it because it will get really high soon base on what can crypto brings and we need this in life always think positive of crypto and not the negative but still you can lose if it's not go well,i predict this base on past year 2017 because the price in that time is not like this high even it's low not,Moreover for your safety sell it and hold some again that you can afford to lose.

I think your worry is right, COINS dropped a lot today, many of the news that the Chinese government ban on currency trading, leading to a fall in the currency, I don't know the Chinese government's attitude toward COINS, but China is now the currency holdings, which had a great influence on the currency

So better hold and sell later. Don't sell when in the dip that's a bad idea.

Well it depends. As many have projected Bitcoin to be at $6000 it may be good for you to convert it into fiat then buy back once the target has been reached. But if you are going to use it then by all means sell it asap as many dumpers would really panic in selling their coins. Hopefully, the market will stabilize the soonest so that all of us could get back to business.

Holding for a bit more isn't quite bad as a downfall is not prominent. Sell a part of your savings if you want money quick it's the best of both worlds. the price has definitely not reached its peak point so holding is better.

If i were you i would just hold my bitcoin stock a bit longer since this few days are very hard for btc. I mean hard to rise due to some issues in south korea regarding their minister of defense filing a bill to ban all cryptocurrency in their country. Just wait until the end of this year before deciding to let go your btc.

If you need fiat money sell some. If you want to sell to increase you BTC amount, it is not the best time. Wait for 2-3 months and you can sell for higher prices than 20000$ per BTC.

selling is always part of our daily lives in this.you're not allowed to take it or hold it forever. but if you want to bequeath to your grandson or granddaughter then you must keep it. but you don't have get any profit and don't expect in the earnings because you only hold it. it is a good time to sell if the price of all was drop,but think carefully if it just an short time or in a long time dropping rate. but if you want an higher earnings then wait to the rising up of the price and then sell it

Yes, your worry is necessary, all COINS today is reduced, it is said that because the Chinese government banned the currency exchange, if the news is true, then the price of the currency in the future may continue to fall

Do not sell while the market is down, sell when the market is nearing its peak (when the peak is flattening). If you sell now, you will actualize your loss, if you hold you may recoup your virtual losses.

Currently whole crypto market is down and I don't think this is a good time to sell bitcoins. Hold as long as you can till bitcoin price recovers or sell it and buy again if you think price will drop even more. You should use your bitcoin wisely so that you don't have to regret later about selling it cheap. Good luck

Selling your coins is always your choice and you will always take risk in working cryptocurrency because we don't know if what will happen to the value of any token or coins in the future. You should check and weigh all the possibilities that might happen if you decide to sell or hold your coins.

For me if I am the keeper of that 5.2 btc I woupd just sell some of it.  Maybe if you really need the monwy then you could sell some.  As for me even bitcoin price drops and drops I know that time will come that it will have its strength.  That it will rise up again so I will just keep it.

Well it's a good time to sell just as it's a good time for someone to buy and save. So it's just a healthy time in the cycle. One thing is certain though. The price of BTC will pick up again.

Selling your coins right now is probably the worst decision you can make, unless you really need it right now. That's because Bitcoin proved multiple times in the past that it quickly recovers after a big drop. It might not be back in just one day, but expect some recovery quickly after the lowest point is reached.

If you sell it now it may be something that can make you only get a little profit. Try to divide the second portion, you can use half of it for sale and the rest you use for Hold. Believe the opportunity of Bitcoin price to increase is still very large and the opportunity is still wide open.

I'm not agreeing with that , yes there is a chance for a great price fall of Bitcoin. But not for long period, if you don't have a sudden need my advice is to hold it.

for now I think you have to do the hold do not get carried away with panic selling atmosphere, because it will only make the price even lower than now, it is now influenced by the issue made by the Chinese government against bitcoin, the storm must pass, it is just chinese strategy to buy lots of bitcoin.

Selling now could be the biggest mistake you can ever make in this market. You should never sell in loss. I have mentioned it earlier, this is just another buy opportunity. Thing will get better soon enough and most of us will regret for not buying more. I suggest you step back from the moniter and take a break for a few days. oh Man.. its rallying bad.. in short term I don't see any cue for a spike, look how much it has gone down in a single day, the worse is still to come. To avoid loss partake in a short sell may be a 2/3rd to mitigate loss and keep the rest for the hay day!

I would say that it's the best time to buy rather than selling.
I do feel that btc will go back to around 17k after this drop to 11k but there's also a possibility that it might hit 3k again if gets under 10k. Just my personal thinking.

I know guys that btc will rise for sure, as for example rootstock is in the beta testing phase right now. And will be soon on the btc mainnet so we can expect btc to rise again, china fud/bans etc. is very common tactic and i have heard about it alot back in early 2017. Russia is planning on making their own coin and usually Russia works with China. Which means China is spreading this fud again to buy in low and sell high in the future.

In my opinion btc will rise for sure . Many of time its happened to btc but it never down be patience for atleast month i am sure btc will $20,000 again

I don't understand why you are risking your bitcoin with the decision taken by the Chinese government. And the decision has not been approved by the Chinese government now. Exactly, cryptocurrency will exist without China, I'm sure for that.

So, you should have to hodl your coin, and if you don't have money fiat you can exchange some your bitcoin. Wait by next month the price will be increase again.

If you have already achieved your goal and made profit, then it is a good time to sell your BTC cheap to those who are buying now at a lower price - let others earn profit by holding for long term. The price doesn't matter if you stick on your own plan and strategy in the market and not let greed take over you.

If you invested for short term and are in profit, you can sell. But if you want to make huge money and do not need money urgently, it is advised to wait for some time.

 I just opened the coinmarketcap and it is red all over, Yes of course it is a panicking situation but if you could hold your nerve then you will get the profit. And if you are wise and brave then go for buying.

Normally, most of crytocurrencies are going down in January. It could be many reasons. Some said because of Chinese New Year, some said because what is happening in South Korea.
But if you be patient, it might stabilize and will go up again.   

Why are you selling it now when it's only 12k USD?  You could have sold it when it was 14k~15k. Don't panic, i don't think Chinese new year will affect BTC's price similar to what happened last new year. Just hold it, I'm pretty sure that BTC will recover.

Let us not the exaggerate the situation more that what it is. Eventually bitcoin is down just 10 percent and that is perfectly normal in any market. As far as we don't do panic selling, it will recover soon. If you are worrying too much, try to be far from checking market for some time.

It definitely will go lower but as with anything that's highly volatile, a big drop could bounce back a lot stronger. So what if the chinese new year will lower it, it's going to recover anyways. That amount that you have right now may very well be a lot higher if you can hold your horses

Yes, good point. Time to clam and grab in the dips. New money pulled out because of FUD that result, markets turn into red. In this case, people need to do their own research and make wise decisions.

Today,I think there are powerful fundamental factors to keep the market as high as it is now,Despite the fact, there are problems wich aren't unresolved,So I think if you can to keep your earnings it will be the best solution in this situation,but also its important to realize future influences on this sphere,such as  social policy decisions,despite this I repeat once again that selling is not the best decision in this situation because everyone sees a great potential of blockchain technologies.

The dip has already happened, right now would be a pretty bad time to sell in my opinion. Wait for a price of around 17k or so at least before you consider selling. You may have to wait a month or two but you'll make an additional 20k or so for doing so.

At this point just hold. The price is about half of the all time high so I don’t think it’s a good time to sell. You’ld basically be selling low. I would prefer holding long term if you didn’t sell near a high. The price will eventually recover.

Do you urgently need the funds? If so then you could sell any time. The market will stay bearish for a while so sell when you need to. But if you are just thinking about selling then I suggest you hold onto them for a while. I believe that Bitcoin will pump sooner or later. It would have a new ATH so it's better to wait a little longer.

It time to change process. It any time to change and any where to you for the some purposes. People will be know the process. So people before sell. Traditionally a period after Christmas is and during Chinese new year was really bad for the price of Bitcoin, this is no exception this time.
Another thing to consider - don't sell during the decline, it is the best time to BUY not to sell, don't be a newbie here, it is not the first time we have sharp price correction.

If you bought them when it is below the current price I think now is the right time to sell but if you are among those that buying bitcoin when it price was very high then I will advise you to hold as selling below cost price is what traders refer to as loss. People are investing with the intention of doubling their money within a few weeks, and especially so after the crazy increase of last year. Let them sell as many of their coins as they want, because regardless of what people advice others to do or not to do, noobs are noobs for a reason and thus just ignore everything. While they do what they do the best, which is being noobs selling their coins to "prevent" further losses, we use that as an opportunity to accumulate more coins at lower levels. Especially today,Different company providers and technical manegers are going to implement SegWit and Lightning  network which in my opinion will be a precondition for the price increase too,because as we know fees will be reduced.There are also good news that will good for  price increase and bitcoin will strengthen its positions.So I think today is a good day for trading and we just need consistment estimation and patience,because volatility in financial markets will definitely be overcome.

This is not the right to for you to sell your bitcoins because the price is too much low and you will surely lose money. For me selling and buying bitcoin is not something that should be complicated. For me to sell the most appropriate bitcoin is when we sell bitcoin at a higher price than when we bought it. So timing in buying and selling bitcoin is the most appropriate thing.

Don't make your basis and claims for what is going to happen off one event. A singular event won't change bitcoin and the outlook but a multitude of events that coincide with one another. That said though, I would probably not cash out at this point the long term sentiment appears to be bullish yet.
