I am a millionare becasue I hold...selling is for  loosers, you do not sell unless there is some fundamental problems
The real problem is why does someone not make a peer to peer, napster like, exchange to avoid the goverment mafia

I believe there is always a platform for peer to peer transaction for bitcoin between user at each country, but it will still goes under bank transaction unless you make a face to face deal by cash.

as a normal citizen i won't mind paying tax for income like this , just hope the government mafia don't end up sucking all the profit.

For me i will choose to hold my Bitcoin , the price drop maybe just because some big shark want to join the BTC market so they create this chaos to buy from small fish like us.

I say hold, I believe that bitcoin price will once again go up. whats happening now is just  what a normal market is. And I say it is good if we buy when the price of bitcoin go down. In that way when it goes up, then you can earn more.

Holding is not a good strategy to just automatically say because we dont know exactly what you are invested in, how much you have invested, how much you actually have financially, your risk management etc. So this is way to broad for us to help you.

In this situation you should continue to hold bitcoin firstly do not rush to sell it, because in a hurry to sell it then you will incur losses, so be patient to continue holding bitcoin at this time.

My opinion that's not right time to sell. that's holding time. yeah bitcoin is so down. it's will recover but need more time. so, this time you should hold it.

as a long term investor, i usually choose to hold as long as i can no matter what happen to crypto market, bitcoin rightnow is too low to sell, i will loss a lot of money if i accept to cut losses rightnow, so i will hold until the market rise again.

Well, as mate mentioned that in the present suituation no one can give you suggestion for selling your BTC now because price is down more as compare to past price. So you need to hold your BTC and if you have any urgent money need then as mate mentioned that you need to exchange some of your BTC and hold the remaining or you can also borrow some money for the time being and as price again increased then you can return his money after selling your coins.

I admit that Im afraid because of continuesly dropping of bitcoins value,I might be able to lose huge amount of money because of it but I dont want to panic and I want to believe in bitcoin instead that I will really rise again so right now I will still hold my bitcoin and wait patiently.

i don't know how much u make how much u have saved what ur risk management is but i can tell you that if you hold and btc goes down to 7k it will definitely make a bounce back from there to 11k-12k again...meaning you will have another opportunity to sell at this price surely. If you hold and price goes back to normal and then some, you make money. before 2k19, do you really think btc won't hit 15k again?

this is the moment that i do not like the most, because i have 1 btc. may I regret for holding it too long, so bitcoin prices have started to decline. but I will continue to hold back, because I do not want to lose here, and I'm sure there will be a next pump that will be bigger.

If you bought your bitcoin for lower price, than you can sell it, at least you will not lose anything and will not risk anymore. If you bought it for higher price then now, then i think it is better to wait, i think the price will rise again, after this situation in Asia will be calmed down.

As a bitcoin enthusiast I would prefer holding my coins including the altcoins because the price correction is just temporary. And I am all for long term investment rather than short term too so it would not affect me that much and wouldnprefer holding them than selling them.

I honestly wish I could buy some more. I'd have to get more fiat out of the piggy bank though and I don't think I can commit at this moment in time, but BTC is definitely at a cheap price right now so if you can, scoop some up while it's low and you won't regret it. Must be hold btc. This is for a certain period of time that BTC price is going down but when it will come back it will go its peak. There is a news that Chaina and Korea ban BTC and 18 January is also hard fork . So its price is low. But you do not sell it instantly. Just hold it. ;D

I think if you buy at a lower price than yours today, selling may be a good bet because the price of bitcoin will go down as well.
 But if it is bought at this price, I advise you to continue holding, because the potential of bitcoin is more than the current price.

On my own point of view I think I will still hold it even if the value drop down because if I will sell it now I will lose alot of money so Id rather hold it and wait patiently for its value will rise again.

I have been looking to buy some smaller ones like Pascal but can't find an exchange that does credit card transactions without verifying.
Found one exchange but the exchange rate is not worth it.

I think the current  price of btc is the lowest so I think you should keep your btc until the price rebounds. Selling losses is a good option but it is when the price drops below the low Best. Firstly, I don't hold a big volume of BTC. But I sold it back in December when the price skyrocketed. When will I buy again? The answer depends on the decision of South Korea government on cryptocurrencies.

I think holding bitcoin is better. Waiting fir the rise of the bitcoin to rise is a right decision than selling it in its current value. And also being able to hold on gives you more profit than what you are expecting.

I think it just depends on you whether you need money or not for now. and if you still have other income outside of bitcoin I think you would prefer to hold it because I only learn from experience a few years ago where at the time bitcoin price is decreasing but it did not last long and in the endbitcoin again have a high enough price. but if you have no income other than with bitcoin the decision of course is in your hands because we have to fulfill our life priorities.

I remember reading lots of similar posts when price went from 19000 to 15000. Those who sold at that time can now buy for 10000 and tomorrow probably for even less. Holding at any cost is not a good strategy, especially when the bubbles are popping.

Despite of what have been happening nowadays just what like you have said, I am still into holding rather than selling because although it was alarming, I still believe that Bitcoin can still make its price rise and make it back to normal. I have already got into this kind of scenario many times and I have done one thing regretful when I chose to give up my holdings and Bitcoin suddenly grow from nowhere so I really regret that and I do not want the same thing to happen again so I will just keep on holding and waiting until the price goes back to normal.

I agree. Holding is very critical at this point. It is not a smart move to actually get rid of your bitcoin holding because the profit most likely would be way less, or worse, not be there at all. It is also a common market move for seasoned traders and investors to hold onto their bitcoin when its not doing well, being patient until such time it will gain traction and rise up again. Knowing how bitcoin moved in the past, I think that this dump may take some months before it again regains its strength back.

For me it depends upon the situation. If the bitcoin is too low definetly I will hold my bitcoin and hold it until the value goes higher unless there is emergency and there is important matter that I need to pay I will sell it even in a small amount. But when bitcoin is already in a high price and my income is almost 25-35% from my capital I will sell it right away. Selling at this point of time doesn't make any sense as price is not as per our expectations and it has dropped down in recent times so better to hold and wait for the price to go higher once again which is surely possible in next couple of weeks and if you sell now that its gonna be less profitable for you and I think this is the good time to buy bitcoins at cheaper price as anyhow it will reach to $25k price in this year so buying now and selling at that price can be the best decision to make.

Now the best that it is possible to make that to hold coins, they will surely grow. In minus it isnt necessary to sell. all coins will give profit. the longer you hold the more profit.

With the popularity and millionaires made, and the fact that it is all over TV - I believe is starting to cause a lot of resentment in banking and investment community. You continually hear about blockchain being good, but bitcoin being bad or a "bubble" and impossible to control. Well, it is impossible to control by design - decentralization was the key.

You can kind of piece together news for a cause, but as you can see this is just a very volatile space. I am already fully invested, even in my swing trading account I bought some Ripple too soon and didn't expect this dip (like everyone else.) In my personal opinion it doesn't look like a crash - this is just the nature of the instruments. Many people say "crash" but don't realize what they are invoking,  I have seen crashes in 2008. It is constant selling off, with increasing volumes, every day scarier than the previous. Looking at these charts it just looks like a pattern on greater magnitude because the numbers are bigger.

The one currency that appears to be the most resilient is Ethereum in my view. BTC still has the most liquidity so I don't see it going away, but if I was going to buy anything on the dip it would be ETH.

I think if you have invested your money in Bitcoin then holding will be the best option for you right now.Don't even think to sell.This is because Bitcoin's price is very much lower as compared to it's all time high value and most of the people have invested in it when Bitcoin was going through it's golden period.By golden period I mean in 2017 when Bitcoin was reaching to new higher values.So if they will sell their BTC's right now they will only face huge loss.So keep holding until you find a price which can give you atleast more than you invested.Moreover you can take this price drop as an opportunity to invest in it more so that you can earn more profits in future because Bitcoin will soon recover from rhis drop.

Can I suggest a third option ?   The whole reason Bitcoin has a value to me is because you can Use bitcoin and this then requires people to actually buy the bitcoin, enabling the ideas of sell or even just holding to decide later.

I'm not just talking about trading and deciding when to sell but the real purpose of Bitcoin is to convey a secure value especially in difficult or otherwise unfeasible transactions.    So buying very small amounts with bitcoin might be more possible then otherwise.  I like that Bitcoin this year has dropped the fees back to super cheap levels where you use it to buy or even donate, give some value to anywhere.
I would suggest this as a good option, maybe you find some bargains this way on much smaller items then trying to make a profit exactly.

So long as Bitcoin is useful in this way then it will knock onto overall value as the population applicable to the economy of Bitcoin rises and the value is probably going to rise as supply is lower then the rising demand.   Forget numbers for a second, is Bitcoin useful in this way if so then you can keep on using, holding, selling and buying it and hopefully you will gain overall :)

Hold your coins if you have it and buy coins if you do not have because the first saying is about those who have invested at low market and now want to thin k to sell out but I will advice then not to sell out. The second saying is about the new comers or new investors that the market is still achievable and affordable that will lead you to the high market where you will get profit everywhere.

I think if you buy bitcoin at a high price, then the right choice is to hold it and wait for the price to increase again. You must have the patience to benefit from bitcoin.

A lot of new comers are surrounded by the worries of market and they all time think about the news that can negative or positive that is not good. This is really bad if you change your decision of long term investment by hearing negative news. The price now is a bit high but I think if you really dont need that much I would suggest to hold it until it may become double from the capital. I hold myself, I am too lazy to tether or sell. I just average in with more fiat during the lows. I suppose it really depends if you are looking for quick gains or are happy to play the long game.

According to the market the present situations are not favorable for selling because the market is stable and the price moves around the price equivalent to 9k dollar so we have high chances to look for investments again and prevent ourselves from selling the coins. In January yesterday, I chose to hold all the Bitcoin I had and I still hold it.
