I have a few suggestions:
Bitcoin: Bitcoin is unstoppable. The worldwide community is too strong against manipulations by traditional finance sector and governments. The innovation of blockchain can't be destroyed like internet. Third parties are not needed for payments.
Dogecoin: It recovered fast from the general crash of cryptocurrencies. It also gives a nice opportunity to lend on Poloniex. If you have the opportunity for an account on Polonoiex, lend them for 1% daily. The margin traders are speculating much on Doge so they pay the rates.
Monero: In my opinion Monero will one of the leading cryptocurrencies in near future. More and more governments will try to take influence to cryptocurrencies and track all citizens, who hold cryptocurrencies. Monero has proven high privacy and can be used in case of a ban of cryptocurrencies.
Ethereum: Ethereum has one of the most interesting platforms for innovative projects and crowd funding (ICO-projects)
ICO tokens:: There are many scam projects, but also promising ICOs coming with innovative  projects. These kind of investments need a good research to gain great profits.
I would generally recommend well established decentralized altcoins for long term portfolio.

I will go for First is Ether because Ethereum is an open software platform based on blockchain technology that enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications. And now a days you can see many many ICO coming with Ethereum platform.Second is Bitcoin, because bitcoin is the mother currency of all coin and its ever green currency, and the third in this list is Steller, Fourth is Cardano, and the last the fifth is NEO.

BTC is the one wouldn't be replaced.
LTC is another option after BTC.
AEON, HWC and REBL is three of the coin you can invest currently because they still cheap, promising project and huge community support.

Ada, Steem, XVG, Ripple etc. :)

I think it's a wise choice to invest in bitcoin, and if it starts to rally, it's the first time bitcoin has bounced back.

In general Bitcoin has the most promising technologies like Lightning Network, Schnorr signatures and MAST. Google these terms and you'll see that we are still in the beginning of a revolution.

Don't sell all your BTC, it is always better to have some btc on the side, remember that during such massive drops in the market, people will either cash out for fiat or convert altcoins to the most trusted crypto in the market, Bitcoin.
Which one is going to recover? all of them, but I can recommend you a few that are currently on sale at extremely low prices that we might not see again: Monero, LTC, XLM, XRB.

Now with such prices, it makes sense to buy bitcoin. Although altcoins also have quite attractive prices. When prices adjust, everything will go up, but bitcoin will be the first. However, as always.

Now all the coins are falling in price. It seems to me that this is a consequence of falling prices for bitcoin. I see no reason to abandon bitcoin now. The price of altcoins will go up once bitcoin starts to rise in price. Now it makes sense to buy coins for Fiat. Any sale of cryptocurrency now will result in the loss of your savings.

The market caught a lot of people unprepared, now is the time to be very cautious and watch and pay attention to what will invest. I recommend watching Neo, Waves, Bancor, Ethereum, other coins that you can not rule out: Phore, Quatloo, Mustangcoin, Zero, Neutron.

3) STU(its something like Fiverr but better and its on the blockchain)

Any altcoin who would have low circulating supply will likely to recover soon. This fact is for cheap altcoins like lower than $
2 or $ 3. Blue chip altcoins will surely recover soon. Like Ethereum is always my first priority. DASH coin, ZCASH Monero are also good pick to invest in.

Yeah, I know that. On this day I see at https://coinmarketcap.com/ the market of cryptocurrency is green, that means the coin prices start to go up again, and the top 100 coins there all have increasing price. You know, this is very beautiful views.

Well, if you want to invest in another coin I suggest to consider ethereum and NEO. Until now I believe ethereum is very promising for investment, aside from being the second in the top coin I predict the price of ethereum will equal the bitcoin price in the future. And the second is NEO if you see a few days back when the other coin decreased but that happened to NOE has increased the price, I see almost 30%. So, if you have time to do research I think NEO worth to try.

If you are looking for a coin that tends to recover, I believe every coin that is experiencing a decline will recover quickly.
Maybe I can suggest just a few, because I myself start investing there, but the important thing is do your own research.
I invested in LTC, cardano is still under $1 and you can really feel the movement, and IOTA.

Mid-term - DeepOnion, PRL - great ideas, solid projects, wide community
Long-term - ETH, XLM, ICX - established project, new annoucments, platforms for ICOs

Well we could always start with the most stable after bitcoin which is either ripple of eth. I can say investing in Ripple could be a great decision because just like what happened in early January where Ripple overtook ETH which takes a a good rise in prices and acceptability of the coin.

If you're open to smaller new coins, NEU (Neumark, traded on Liqui mostly) is my favorite. The most solid business in blockchain (Neufund.org). Maybe a little late advice - it rebounded a lot, but still very worthwhile to look at.

I would go for alts that are used a lot. I see ETH, LTC, DOGE being used a lot to be able to buy different altcoins.

I expect these to rise because everybody needs them to do the transactions.

Also, I see cheap coins with a good background that could have a potential to rise in the coming months like DIME, PND.

Altcoins are no worse than bitcoins, many have their cool technologies.
And after their implementation, they will even be able to break the price of the bitcoin, but this takes time.
But there are also dummies, so you need to carefully choose projects 8)

It was predicted that the market would collapse and all the trash coins will need to consolidate to survive. I think that it will be so.

It all depends on the goals, if you want to make 20-30 then invest in a coin from the top 20, if you want to do from 100% then I advise you to pay attention to less famous but promising coins. example:  PIVX(anonymous coin), KIN( token popular messenger)

Ethereum, ETC, Stratis, Bancor, Waves, Ada, XVG, Ripple (not much, there is a risk), Capp, Dash. Start create your portfolio with BTC (about 30-40%) , Ethereum (5-10% for ICO), other part invest in altcoins. If you prefer less risk but also less possible profit - choose the coins from top 10 from coinmarketcap.

I think now is the time to invest in Ethereum. Plans to move to POS algorithm, and after a while Ethereum will be nodes, whose owners will receive passive income. So it will gradually to buy, increasing demand and price of Ethereum.

Although the other day crypto market had a great fall, altcoins are growing again and this process will go on further. I would recommend investing into Ethereum, NEO, Cardano, IOTA, Ripple and DeepOnion.

i only suggesting Ethereum, because most of the ICO are getting in etheruem smart contracts, meaning the explosion is in ethereum after ICO ends at a time. the demand of using ethereum blockchain is more volume/usage than the other altcoins blockchains, so for me after this dip and bitcoin recover it self, ethereum will also followed to the biggest pump in this year (2018).

Finance XRP
Insurance IXT
Realestate Propy

This year and next year, the tokens used in real business will soar. Other than that it is a lose group.
The above three fields have high affinity with block chains, and development teams are reliable.

No matter how many FUDs and fake news are circulating around the crypto market, I would really interested on investing more Oyster Pearl PRL because they have a very unique project like decentralization of online storage in the tangle.
Soon, their price value will never dependent on Bitcoin or Ethereum because the PRL payment for peg capacity is fix yearly like for example 128GB = 1PRL/year.

Ethereum and DeepOnion are both Altcoins are worth for more investments and depends on your money.
For me, there are so many newly listed altcoins in the coinmarketcap.com that are worth to invest because they're all cheaper and I trying to study their project and I am eying some coins as well that I bet they will soon climb on top altcoins in the near future like Debitum Network DEB and Oyster Pearl PRL.

the best altcoins to invest in are top altcoins that had proven their worth of investments like Etheruem, Ripple, NEO, LiteCoin and other top altcoins that will surely offer higher return og investments in the next few weeks or months.
other than that, there are also more promising new altcoins that I am investing since last year, Oyster Pearl PRL is one of the most undervalued and underrated Altcoin in the crypto market today so you better try to have a little research PRL because it has a nice and unique project that would be useful for internet users in the next few months from now.

The most expected coin that could offer higher return is none other than Bitcoin as it is the first of it's kind and will surely will pump in the next few weeks or months.
Investing in Bitcoin is just like getting higher possibilities and opportunities especially next year because it is believed that Bitcoin will hit the mark of around $50,000 before this year ends and Bitcoin investors will get higher profits if they do invest today.

I think Bitcoin is still the number one who can bounce back even though the market is the the dip right now, because for me the best word for me to describe bitcoin is unstoppable, yes it is unstoppable and they are really bouncing back whenever this kind of suffering in the market takes place.

You can consider Monero if you are thinking of converting to another crypto. Seeing the prospects, the coin has a very bright future. Monero’s quiet, stable, spendable nature makes it an excellent coin to invest in. Also, the coin provides complete anonymity in its transactions as instead of the public ledger system, it assigns one time adressess for each transaction. The information of the sender and reciever is kept private. Hence, the coin has a potential to yield huge amount of profit levels.

Never trust sing coin except BTC.There are many good Altcoins like ETH,EXPR,NEO,ADA,IOTA.These are growing gradually but in future there will be massive increase in their prices if hold for coming few years except XPR which is good for short term trading by my point of view because i am using it for short trading and getting good profit. The other mentioned coins projects are moving forward in slow manner and will take time to fully mature.

So current prices shouldn’t influence your investment if your holding long term.
