I would like to ask you what is the key criteria for you when you decide to buy an altcoin? Graphic analyze, project quality, news or any other thing?

Definitely do due diligence on the team behind the coin. Read white paper. Does it make sense? If not then I’ll ask questions to see if team answers satisfactorily. I’ll look at reddit and bitcointalk, look on youtube. Then I’ll look at price action, recent pumps, total coin supply.

If its an ICO, the team and advisors are the first thing I look into, but if it is after the ICO, I just try to choose based on the market acceptance, the value proposition and mostly the news about it.

I  will only buy altcoins that has potential to grow,or when the market bleeds like what happened earlier,that is the perfect time to buy alts,30-50%   ultra sale is the best opportunity to get some quick profits.

Oh, also you need to have a good entry point. Even if I want to go into a coin, I will take a good look at recent supports and resistances in order to find a price that is not likely to drop in the short term.

I agree with this , furthermore just check the whitepaper , roadmap , and team .
See if they matched there own goals they set on the roadmap , check the bitcointalk topic, when it is self moderated i tend to stay away.

It depends on the intention, if it is just a short trade then for the most part I couldn't care what the coin is, as long as the numbers look good then I'm in. For longer term holding then it's all about believing in the actual idea and then the team who are going to execute the idea.

I would say all of them , because you must consider various aspects before try to invest in the crypto, if you are only try to consider a single thing that doesn't give you a lot of guarantee. But the community support must become very important thing in my opinion because that's reflecting the trust by the investors.

Well, the key that i use for reference is the graphic or chart pattern and the most one is news. Because news always make big impact sometime bigger than that news itself.

Team, project, total supply, whitepaper, technical paper, also get reviews at bitcointalk, reddit, cryptocompare, check youtube. And only then decide.

In all cases, the White Paper of each of the Altcoins is the key to me. Only with its help, I determine whether I will invest in this cryptocurrency or not.

I would say and give more trust on the top 5 most popular altcoins, it is no brainer they became popular since they performed well as well as people trust them. But if you really want to be technical on coin stuff you need to exert a little effort on research. First you have to see who are the owners see their credibility, read the whitepaper and check the road map of the coin if all is good in your perspective then your good to go, but since this is a high risk business you have to be ready always on how it turns out.. It could be good..or worst it could be bad.

If the idea seems good, the wp is not full of air and the team members have some kind of experience.

Project rate where that altcoin has been, Project proposal where is it more important to used that altcoin and if it will be indemand if the the operation will begain. And of course do not forget the trust rate of the members of that team or in the board member profiles. And if there is no negative feedback or news on that project, it's likely to be assured that this altcoins will be potentially big enough in the future.

You have to look at different aspects. Most established coins in the market have good teams behind and a road map that tells you where they want to go. That would tell you that that coins will stay and will be profitable. Even icos. If it looks fishy try checking their sites if they have detailed plans

Without reading and understanding you may even profit from luck, but you do not want to play dice, then the first step is to read and study the coin and everything related, do not forget to observe the groups and speculations of the currency, in relation to graphics should be a training and study the part, in the free time.

the first thing is to read the whitepaper, the quality of the project and his team, then the project advisor and the roadmap. after that see reviews on some sites and discussion forums. the last step I usually use the feeling to choose it.

Check out the project. I read first their whitepaper. Does the project makes any sense? Is it useful? does it have any significance?
I sometimes check the amount of people in the telegram to know how popular the project is. I also check their site.
If it looks fishy, the most important thing is to ask people around or online.

Regardless of ICO (because I've never invested in ICO), if I buy altcoin.. to be honest so far I just pick altcoins from graphics analysis as well as its popularity on interest or the most used for investing by many people, also the any recent news related with that coins. And often I ask to my friend that was more experienced than me in cryptos.

The project must be real and not fake and most definitely not a scam. It should have a solid team and one that has good experience. The project must also be a working product and something that will generate popularity in society - people need to be drawn by it, so people can participate. Most of the above mentioned elements can be found out by reading the whitepaper and also viewing the roadmap and seeing if all this is achievable.

When taking a decision to buy any altcoin I take into account all of the things you mentioned. Additionally I learn statistics, watch videos made by people who have been involved in trading, listen to their opinion. I start dealing with an alt only after making all of these investigations.

I first go with the price graph of that coin and I never interested on shitcoins and cheapcoins because on the coins the chance of losing our investment capital is more.I will choose cheap coins only if they have potential usage in the future.You can also pick the coins based on coinmarket cap ranks but not all top ranked coins won't give assured profits but the chance is more when compared to lower tier coins.
The main criteria for everyone is need to earn money through that coin so everyone look at the prices of the coins and their growth percentage.So I am also doing the same most of the time while investing on short term.

Before I buy altcoins I visit their site, read the whitepaper, roadmap and the team behind. Make a research for some reviews and the platform for that coin. I also consider the total supply and the volume of the coin. Less supply is a point for me. 

I consider every aspect of a coin or token when considering it for my portfolio. That means looking into the graph, the team, the community, the product, and any underlying scam or fud claims that have been made. Another aspect of coins that can help figure out what is going on is the mining side of things. I am not really technical but if a coin is being mined heavily that generally means there is some interest there which is a positive sign, but it isn't a for sure sign. If all these aspects add up then I consider that coin which makes me choosy but the trade off is having more winners then.

Working product or alpha/beta is a must for me. What about others?

There are many things and criteria which can be used to be a deciding factor to buy an altcoin. It all starts with the Project value and interest among the people so that they like the project and invest over there in that project and it is something which is what we called the Project quality and apart from the project quality i also go with the technical analysis so that i can filter out the best altcoins among the number of coins. Then I would like to time the entry and then it will be easy for us to track the profits and trade. This is my daily routine for deciding the best buy option for altcoin.

Graphic analysis? no mate, that is quite old.

I just buy altcoins, and i hold them for some time because i like them, i like the dev's, the project, and how it is moving, not because of the analysis or something else.

In fact, i am just buying altcoins for long term right now, maybe that is more profitable than just buying pump and dump coins.

The most important consideration for me is the use case that an altcoin is supporting. The coin would have a future only if it is backed by a real use case or platform where it can be used. Unless there is a real service behind a coin, it will not give good returns. For example take BNB of binance exchange can be used for payment of transaction fees at discount, this creates value and demand for BNB token.

My basis was I read first their whitepaper, because when I read it then I find out their road map was promising and realistic and the team together with the dev will become active and will update their community from time to time it is a good chance to buy that token.

The main criteria I use to buy a good altcoin is project transparency, if the project does not show clarity there is no reason why I invest. Another factor that is very important is to analyze every promise estimated by Dev and the team.

In this age, only project transparency or having a working product won't work. The main criteria is hype around the project. Yes! This is true without hype projects won't go higher always. There are many examples for this statement like 0X, District0x, Aragon, ubiq, status network token etc

When prices are falls you have enough options to invest if you have investment because when prices are falling you can invest in to many options to invest because including bitcoin almost every thing is available at good price,

i think its your perception about it, then the team behind it then the idea of the project then definitely their publicity and advert

there are some that I will see before buying, because this is the goal for the long term so we should be more careful. The first volatility of the coin itself whether good or not, the second transaction is not time constrained so that we can at any time transact.

My criteria when deciding to buy an altcoins are, i look for an alts that has a good project and has upcoming events and project, Community support, good dev team and most of all the market circulating supply. These are my criterias when i buy some alts, i know this is not the perfect formula but in my experience it hit my expectations and goal.

Of course you will need to do your own research to prevent shitcoins from your portfolio,overall quality of the project,the team behind it,and its vision,you shouldnt be buying altcoins from the peak,wait for the perfect time which would be when the market has dipped too much.Never let anyone dicatates your investments.

You must consider everything when buying altcoins because I think it can be more volatile compare to bitcoin so you really have to make an effort to study about that coin so you will not fall on a trap coin. Make your money worth for this kind of investment, don't waste the opportunity of making higher profit.

according to my own views and opinions, the consideration when buying an altcoins is who the developers behind the altcoins are and in what areas they are moving. because for now, a lot of new altcoins are emerging that have big company bases behind them, and usually they move in strategic areas, so there is a possibility altcoins that they have will move up in the future.
doing this requires patience by reading every detail of altcoins you want to buy, so that all the basic information about altcoins you can know.

If the consideration is for short-term investments (trading), I think it would be more suitable to pick coins that have a fast price movement. Thus, it will quickly benefit from the difference between the highest and lowest prices.
But if for long-term investment, should also consider the quality of the project and the team of developers.

When I go for an altcoin, 1st I read the white paper, if I am satisfied , i go through the roadmap then I go ahead to check the caliber of people behind the project, I see if they achieved their previouz roadmap within the stipulated period and to check if there are efforts put in place to achieve future roadmap afterwards I see what people think about the coin on forums like reddit , bitcointalk and lastly I check the total market cap before I invest my hard earned money on the alt.

I think we should see the altcoin is good or not because most of you buy altcoin that has good potential and popularity will be sure that altcoin will be potentially big enough in the future and altcoin that we will buy can have a good project

I think the standard for buying currency is to understand its market conditions, buy it when it is low, wait for it to rise, and then choose a suitable price to sell. Of course, this standard must be judged by yourself.

Yeah, sometimes picking up an altcoins coincidentally gave me luck accidentally. Lol, but you still have to consider the popularity and likely to consider those who you prospectively think will lead the future success. We have to be picky in selecting a good altcoins for us not to waste theoney we have invested in.

First of all, I draw attention to a team of literate and conscientious developers who have positively proven themselves in the crypto-currency community and, of course, to support the positions of this coin with considerable capital.

You can see from their project, roadmap, team and whitepaper. if everything works out well, buy some coins for you to invest. for an existing coin on the market, buy some coin that has entered the big market when the price are low based on the chart of the market and hold up to reach the target you want

yes, this is the right step.
for me, a unique concept with good technology, and on the basis of a good team will be the main choice in buying altcoin. because I believe with all these things can make many investors who are interested and it becomes our own advantage. because many communities can be one of the factors supporting the success of a project.

What do you mean with graphically? it just does not make any sense at all, you can not look at the charts for buying a coin that is for holding purposes / or an ICO token.. Please, pay attention to the thread before posting

If there is a real purpose in a token/coin and it delivers a real solution to a problem with a real team devoted to the solution then you have value in the ICO. If an ICO does not meet this basic criteria then DON'T BUY IT.

To me personally i would preffer the ones which are free, Lets Take THUG for example, they have no ico where u need to spend money, they give their tokens for free every week, you can buy them on exchanges if you want, but if u join the THUG community u can get a lot of them for free weekly, Check them out before investing in any other Altcoins😚😚😚

Maybe all the variables will be very influential, but at least if we are in a normal situation, I think graphical analysis is enough to make decisions, especially on the famous Altcoin.

analysis and potential as well as the teams that are behind the coin. the most important is certainly a great demand. many people start searching for crypto that enabled investment in the long run because they know the potential crypto is enormous. So certainly need analysis to find out what altcoin can offer results in the long term.

The project should be interesting and useful. Get acquainted with the team, with the road map, see what goals the team sets. Read the project website.

I advise buying altcoin only on pre-sale. If the project seems to you to be successful and promising, then on pre-sale you can earn the maximum profit

Key buying criteria for you to buy an altcoin is best profit percentage .Altcoin is cheapest golden egg,to get huge profit as dollars.Incase you had lose in altcoin trading,your loss will be low.The cheapest asset which gives 10 times of invested money is altcoin.

It is desirable that the coin had its own blockchain, this makes it very valuable. Still very important is the previous experience of the team and their past projects.

Mostly when I am buying an altcoin I am looking at the product that the project has to offer to people. This helps to determine if the coin is one that can last a long time in the market. Also I check for coins that have their own blockchain, these are the coins that are most likely to end up doing well for the long run. There are other criteria but these are the major ones I look for.

4. Community

Charts , vol. of trading , total supply , what news a comming related to the product .

And if everything is good for me i buy if not search for another 

You have to analyze and do a research first before you want to buy and invest in altcoins, you have to see the growth development price of the coin itself, then you can decide to invest or not, if it keeps increasing, it means those altcoins is a great choice

I think white paper reasons are obsolete, there are projects that are copying others work.

During this time that the criteria of purchasing Altcoin for me is the value and percentage in a stable market

For me personally, Before buying altcoin for us save and resell it or invest in the altcoin. Better look at the altcoin supply. Do people have appeal to the altcoin. Due to the high buying and selling. Then the altcoin is very good. Maybe someone else wants to add.

The quality of the project should be the only thing you should care about many people invest based on hype and while you can make money in that way it is not a sure thing, after all what if most of the people that were interested in the project invested already at the ico phase? Then there is not going to be anyone interested in the coin to buy in the open market and as such the price will go down.

If you are still buying altcoin in ico, you must consider reading their whitepaper, you must do research for their team, you must also join in their telegram community if it is strong. Watch also some review in youtube about the ico, it will greatly help you. And if you are buying altcoin in an exchange, just choose what is the most hyped, yet with bigger volume of altcoin.

But on relatively small coins that do not have a large market capitalization, perhaps the quality of the project will be the greatest consideration, before the final decision is determined by our intuition.

This is something which varies from person to person and that it all depends on your own personal skillset and experience which then helps you in considering certain things before making any kind of final decision. For me, the market value of the coin in which I am interested is the key thing as lesser market value can help you in a better way in buying of the coins as this also helps you in having greater profit.

In my opinion, the altcoin selection indicator also depends on our investment objectives, whether long term or short trading.
It will always be more complicated if we choose short trading, but in some coins, perhaps the most widely used chart as an indicator.

I always look at the idea of the project and its scale. In addition, an important factor is a steep team and regular feedback from the project. I do not risk investing in small projects that are at the zero level of development. It is possible that such projects will never be able to launch a finished product.

The team, the community, the whitepaper and the social media of that project are the most important things that i am always looking for before investing into a project, it doesn't matter how good it is

If that is a new project, I usually wait for a project near the money collection target.
I think if the development team has enough money to finance the entire development plan, then their project will go according to plan.

The project development status and current total market value of this project.
This is my biggest concern. If the current total market value is too high, I don't think I will invest.

when planning to buy altcoins, I do consider doing a background check on the history of the coin by checking on the price history chart at coinmarketcap. Next thing I consider is the present market price value of the coin and check it's performance in the market if it's doing good performance then I will decide late after a thorough research of  my coin prospect for investment. Once I had bought my coins, I'll consider this one for long term and just be updated fro time to time on the progress of it's performance.

For long-standing altcoins, it seems like graphical analysis and technological prospects will be a major consideration.
But for a new altcoin, maybe who the development team will be the main reason.

Actually, at the moment the only reason why I have eventually bought some altcoins is because of the possibility of obtaining large profits quickly through speculation.

Let's be honest, in reality the market is oversaturated with repetitive and uninteresting projects, and only very few cryptocurrencies are needed to satisfy the current demand. Therefore, the only criteria that interests me is that this cryptocurrency or ICO is doing a lot of advertising work to promote its project, which guarantees high speculation.

for myself which became the benchmark for investment in altcoin which is primarily the quality of the project because with a quality project it will evolve over time and time lapse compete with other altcoin.

The price at which a coin is trading is important, that is correct only when the project is any good, if the project is a clear scam then it does not matter at what value is trading, eventually the coin will go to zero and someone will become a bag holder, on the other hand if the project is good and the value of the coin is almost zero that is the perfect moment to get as much of that coin as you can.

The first thing I check is the benefits of the project. Next check out the developer team. Experienced team and advisors will surely provide maximum support for the growth of the project. Next look at the market chart of the extent to which people demand for the altcoin.

It is a question that asks often by users here. I think you might look at website ratings (if the ratings are not faked). Or, team behind the altcoin. Those are the most useful ones.

I am always trying to look for the most reliable coin to buy, i just read the whitepaper, i check the community and i also see if there are good news before buying or not.

I think it depends on the type of alt, sometimes there is a very good concept, but worse things happen, always better to ask about people's opinions about it.

I will always look out for the white paper  and the content. Then I will fine out what is the concept of the project and whether it is aimed at resolving any human problem. Who are the team members that is working on the project, what experience do they have? Once i am satisfied then i will buy into their project.

One of my key criterias in buying an altcoin is before I buy that specific altcoin I make sure I'll make a research about it, read the whitepapers, check their website, check the services and the benefits I'll be getting once I but their coin/token, and lastly I wanna know if that specific crypto has potential throughout the years.

Yeah your right. but I think to choose a potential altcoin you have to use all the terms and criteria to choose good altcoin even if you use it for short or long term investments. some criteria to look like volume / marketcap on the coin, their ANN Thread, how active dev in the forum, and so on. You must have many criteria to find potential latcoin

Graphics means charts can tell us the coins history based on that many people will invest and people will take this as reference and do research for what reason it pumped and what reason it dump. to understand the team members and projects we need special skill set if you have understand then it is an added advantage and taking suggestions from experts is also help for us to invest in good coins.
