Interesting project. Glad you are creating this thread so that we can get some answers to questions. I dont think Coinstarter is a scam, on the contrary, but I do think you need to engage more on the marketing and the web site. Even if you have a great project and a great idea the first impression is important. Obviously you need to update your website to a more responsive theme or get a faster web server :D

That said, I am exited about this project and I think you have a bright future :) Cant wait for some updates and replies to questions here and to get to know you guys.

I guess they needed another name in order to get a better ticker symbol that is not in use.
For CoinStarterCoin, CSC is already taken.
Even the previous ticker for StarterCoin (STC) is taken, so now they have STAC.

Last night in their telegram chat room they said Gresham International will be conducting KYC for the ICO purchasers.

I know, I called the phone number listed on the internet for Gresham International - during business hours I got an answering service.  I asked "can you tell me where your offices are located".  She had NO CLUE.

I didn't know about this initial coins offering project till now and by accident saw it has already finished. Although in a whole month time there were couple of pages created which may be shouldn't use as interest counting tool but most people do before open any thread. Did you claim your tokens by entering your ETH address when they requested it? The deadline was February 16th.
If you didn't, those tokens were burned.

I remember that and I claimed my tokens. Nevertheless I can't find them. I had quite a bit.

CoinStarter or I must have done something wrong.

I am not sure if there is a difference between people who registered their wallet prior to the date and those who doesn't, but wasn't this an error that the dev team still trying to resolve? Although it's been a while now since this happens. There are some people at the telegram asking about this and the team said they were trying to resolve this.

I think you can contact the team directly for help through other means. It is a bit slow to get a response here.

Tried that several days ago on their telegram, their only solution is to wait and that they're aware of this issue but they'll need time to fix it. I wonder what take it so long just to pop back the "feature" that's used to be available on their site

CoinStarter is off to a great start, and we’re busy with the new design, layout and software upgrades of our new platform.  We’re also adding some new social features which will further connect our community. If you completed the claiming process before February 17th then your tokens are safely in your wallet although currently not shown on the site.
They will be delivered to you on May 15th.

You had to claim your free tokens by feb 17th or they were burned.

Here’s the answer we’ll probably come to in a minute: if your tokens were not claimed, they were burned and are gone and there is nothing that can be done about it now.

I’m sorry but there were multiple emails had went out, several social media posts and we’ve been talking about it here for months including the weeks leading up to the deadline.

Sorry, but it was made very clear through every channel.
If you have a CoinStarter account (which you do cause you had free tokens) there was an email associated with that account. An email was sent to that address more than once.

I am sorry you failed to claim your tokens in time but there is nothing we can do now.

The admin did not tell me what the claim was (claim), what it was supposed to be and how it looks. In this case, everything rested on this claim (application) which had to be submitted before February 17, 2018. If someone knows what she was, could you tell? Maybe it was necessary to specify the address of the wallet?

I think the answer is yes, you need to enter your mew address on the provided column on their site before the specified date, otherwise it'll be gone, at least that's what I van conclude from the post.

I had some that I don't remember how much, but I know it's plenty as I am one of those who signed up on the first batch of airdrop. Unfortunately, I didn't put any address before the deadline as I don't think I had ever receive any announcement. And even if they did informed me via an email (lest it be via twitter or telegram as it'll be even more unfair because such announcement can easily be missed), a 10 days window seems too short, especially if we compare them to the duration of "we will inform you once your token is ready for transfer" (or something close to that) message that appears for months on their page.

This is what happened to me, I waited for them to give a more clear instructions on which address can be used as the receiving address, hence I left the address field blank. And I missed the info, and now my balance is... void?

To be honest, there are a lot of project that own a worse site. They have a good enough site. Although it's kinda suck that for an ico that's very long, they only give a little time window for withdrawal and address submission.

you're talking nonsense. the team did not conduct ico. and the product is still under development. How can you draw such conclusions without understanding it?

Not sure if my memory (and my reading ability, it seems) serve me wrong or you're trolling and spamming. As I know, and as the title of the thread can confirm, they did have an ICO. And no, he is not drawing conclusions without understanding, it appears to me that you're the one that didn't understand the topic. He's talking about free token that's burned which resulting the bounty hunters can't claim them. On this case, although the rest of the tokens are yet to be distributed, the "fate" of those coin (or should I say "value") is already determined; burnt.

My 2000 stac reduced to 600.

Gone due to some correction for a bug that is recently found on their system. LOL. I'm glad I already abandoned all hopes of having even one dollar from this token when they first nulled the chance of manual claiming for those who are late.

What a pity, there was more than 2000 STAC in my wallet and now showing only 52 and received only 10.1 in my ETH wallet. They changed everything under "My Bonus Tokens" section and fooling people. A clear sign of the scam.

The project deservedly receives the title of a promising "silver" project. It has good estimates of experts, but there is no special activity of their community. Weak white paper and insufficient level of the team slightly reduced the final score.

It seems that this is the most cheerful scam-project from the created for today (if, of course, we didn't invest its personal funds) ;D

If you mean the "free token" (their words, not mine) that you got from their airdrop, visiting page everyday, inviting people, etc, and you're late to claim by entering your address during their short time-span, don't bother looking for answer. In shorts, it'll be "you're late on claiming, we consider you're not eligible and your token was burned beyond salvation"

If you mean the free token that you already claimed yet didn't see, don't bother too. First because the amount is extremely reduced anyway, and second because well, this token seems didn't worth to be worried about

Yes, the bonus tokens were supposed to be send to your wallet and they already did so. Al lot less tokens than previously promised though.

Sorry, but I don't think you need to bother worrying about your token, I think the dev revoke their airdrop campaign with more and more silly excuses. I didn't quite follow their distribution, but judging from some members' post here, even if your balance is still there, they didn't send any token to the address up to this point.

I think deadline is over. They burned the tokens those who not redeemed it in time. So your tokens are forever gone I think. I was supposed to receive 2000 tokens but received 600. But I can't complain. It's still free tokens.

I received all STAC coins I was supposed to receive without any problems. Starter tokens were converted to STAC before as we all know. But I got all STAC coins. it is not worth much though.

If I remember correctly, the initial Starter Tokens were converted to STAC at a rate of around 1 STC = 10 STAC, so maybe it has something to do with that.

Yes, they converted something and they also claimed there was a miscalculation of tokens leading to people getting too much so they changed it back. I don't know. Very confusing and intransparent.

I have been a long time member on the Coinstarter site and from questions I was told that the referral and daily access tokens would be sent to me in May.

My final total before they vanished from the portal was around 1,600 coins and after patiently waiting I have received Zero.

I have seen the numbers change several time during the process firstly it was a Waves based wallet and I had reached up to around 6,000+ tokens then it changed to an Ethereum based wallet and I dropped down to the final level of around 1,570? They have had my Eth wallet address registered the whole time on my account so I can't see any justifiable reason why I haven't received them.

Devs can you sort this out for me please?

It's kind of a supportive platform for small start-UPS that in the future will go to ICO, allowing them to create and bill, create a team and lead it with setting tasks.For the experience and start without investments, a good option for beginners.

I can only speculate but the ICO hype is dying down so we will see fewer ICOs in the future. The idea might be good but I don't think they will attract enough people using it and monetize it. All the scam project which we all know are the majority won't need it and the others probably don't want to spend money on it.

I've been following CoinStarter for more than a year. Because of the bounty tokens. Firstly they eliminated those who didnt "claim" their tokens. Then they cut it down to almost 15% because of some "oops there was an error sorry". What can i say. Managers know how to save their money in a bag.

So you promise a coinstarter platform, raise 8 million USD, then deliver a 1985 website build in bubbles, after freaking 25 delays and excuses...and this website isn't even a coinstarter platform!!!

It is a blog..with cryptonews..and 99% of the content is stolen /scraped from other sites without permission.

Then..coinstarter team (there is no team!) Kills their telegram channel with a bot that posts walls of text in order to make the chat impossible to read. As argument they say to stimulate use of the website :o

Its a joke, cornell holloway probably don't even exist, and if he does he will experience a perfect storm.

All "submitted ico's " used in the ico promotion and on old site were fake, made up stories to fool people. Dental Integra, "heal the world" and much much more. All lies and fake.

Investors who trusted these people behind the scam been lied with:
- 3000 submitted ico's
- 40.000 community members
- global teams

On the new website not even 300 member, of which most are desperate investors who are forced to use the "platform" after they get banned in telegram , which in fact doesn't matter because their telegram is a sabotaged mess.

Its below 50 sat and it's a miracle that they are still  online. Even admins (who were fighting for stac and defending ) are banned and left in the dark. Some now admit they were never in contact with "the team"

SEC is investigating this already and some suprises are coming shortly. Cal Evans, the legal advisor (if he even exists) is already known for the liza adventure.

I really hope that you didn't invest anything on this project and suffer a great loss. Their bad track is a little bit clear when they evading what should be their community's right. Free or not, they're working for them, they helped spreading words about the project. And then there is the swap, the second wave that severe any other investors' faith.

That post you referenced to, are bumping posts, it's rather useless to address them (well, I accidentally do sometimes when I didn't know if the one I addressed are one of those kind) as I think they're bot generated. And there are plenty of projects invaded by them, usually scam ones.

The other channel without any recent activity is https://t.me/coinstarter (only admins can post in a channel, they're used for news/general info).
There is also a Telegram group where people can post/discuss and it has 6113 members, but I dont see a shareable link for it, I guess only admins can send an invite link.

And how's the condition down there? Especially with these repetitive "change of plans? Everyone happy? Riots happen?

There isn't much activity on their group either apart from the bot that posts the same news message over and over again and some members complaints between it.

Which pretty much can be considered as an equal situation with the one described by cryptoxtex, isn't it? A channel that cant facilitate their members' thought and concerns, or ones that never respond to the said subjects, are useless
