Post by: Crankyonekfc on January 20, 2018, 02:22:52 PM
So my cousin just informed me that on a bitcoin address tracker site it says that I have something like .017 btc in my wallet but when I sign into said wallet it's nowhere to be found could someone please explain to me how these btc addy trackers work and exactly what it is saying because If that's true then how do i retrieve my 212.00$ in lost bitcoin

Would you be able to post your bitcion address that you found to have some balance on an explorer? If the transaction is brand new, it could take some time for the node that is connected to your wallet to display that there is indeed a transaction coming your way. What wallet are you exactly using, and are you sure that the address you're looking at is the same as what your cousin saw on the blockchain? If you could give these details, that would be a great help.

I assume your cousin means blockchain explorer, when he says address tracker.

An example of a blockhain explorer is https://blockchain.info .
There you can enter your BTC address and check the balance.

could you explain to me what the final balance line in the summary is refering to?
