Title: Every newcomer to Crypto should read this article
Post by: HodorHodl on January 20, 2018, 03:47:40 PM
I knew there were some clever bunnies out there when it came to exploiting vulnerabilities, but I never realised how sophisticated.

Great story, and some great basic stuff to implement, security-wise.

Hope it's OK to link this.....mods feel free to remove post if I've broken a rule.

Is this your story? Why are you sharing this with us? So others can learn how to conduct online scams?

This guy was making $2,000 per month scamming other people and he said it wasn't lucrative! Hahaha.

Hacking bitcoins is probably one of the most deceitful things anyone can do. This guy is a pariah in the crypto currency industry. Hacks cause governments to crack down on bitcoin and add more regulation.

It's an interesting read, but the tone of the article comes off as look at me, and how I screwed people over.  I feel dirty giving the author a positive read count so he can make even more off the Steemit platform.  People are scum.

Jesus, 100% not me! :)

I found the article when searching for how to securely store bitcoin, and it was an eye-opener for me as to the tricks these guys have.

Absolutely not intended to give anyone here ideas on how to scam, but I thought it might be useful for people who want to make sure they're not vulnerable to the techniques used in the article.

I don't support malicious hacking in any way.

Completely agree. This was not written by someone who regretted anything, or had any feeling for the people he stole from.

I posted it just to show how clever these guys can be, and to highlight basic security techniques (different passwords, strong passwords, 2FA) that we should all be using.

Interesting reading and it just goes to show the lengths that hackers will go to. He has no remorse and considers it to be a job!
