People are waiting for the bubble to be burst, why? because we wanted to buy cheap bitcoins and hold as long as we can. And there's still a lot of possible growth for the market, the crash doesn't mean a thing. We have been in this situation before, and we have seen how bitcoin recovered beautifully. I have to agree with other members here, post you evidence here so that we can see if it has enough weight to pull the market to an eventually crash. I earned about 110.000 by trading and basically lost it all, i decided to sell the rest and just quit. I'm gonna explain why, this cryptocurrency market is very manipulative and can easily be controlled and it will never stop. The icos/alts will always keep sucking all the btc cash so it will always be hard for btc to grow and dominate. True or not whatever OP says should be taken with a grain of salt. No shit Sherlock! We all know that already. We just choose to look the other way ;) But I'm struggling to wrap my head around the implication the USDT collapse will have on BTC price (in real USD). Basically when people realise that USDT =/= USD, they will be dumping tethers... for bitcoins (as they don't have other options), which could create impression of bull run. Some exchanges could face a risk of collapse (bitfinex?), but not necessarily, they could just let USDT holders bite the losses. So in short, volume will drop, USDT will no longer be propping BTC, but I don't necessarily see it as a trigger to mass sell off. The worse scenario, is probably some authorities stepping in to heavily regulate, or ban crypto, in order to 'protect' investors (as a lot of USDT holders will get butt-raped). Coinmarketcap defines market cap as circulating supply multiplied with the last price. That means there don't have to be as many tethers as the dollar value of the market cap of Bitcoin. There just need to be as many tethers as the value of dollars representing the coins being exchanged for tethers.

Bitcoin's value is almost half than the last month, if you are right then why the price is decreasing. It should remain constant around 20k, as per your tether theory.
