I am planning to buy 1 BTC. Do I need to wait few more days for a price fall?

I think today is a good time to buy already. The price is pretty low compared to its potential increase in the next few weeks. I think it will bounce back when time comes that it gets some positive news. Right now there is really a lot of fake negative news going around and more of the news today are just speculations and not really true news. But when everything clears up, for sure it will go up.

Right.The current price is already too low so grab the chance now to buy at least 1 btc.Do not wait for another dip,maybe it will go on pumping in the next few days.Yes,a lot of fake news and heresays are spread out today so don't just jump with a conclusion.Everything will be alright in the nearest time then the price will soon to pump again.

as this is starting on increasing maybe and this is what the best time now and dont ever wait for another dip , try to make some study first and made some decision that you think are one of the best thing to do for make sure that you are truly decided. But see as of now the bitcoin for my opinion also this is the best time now to have it for.

It all depends on what it is you think that you're going to be able to get out of whatever kind of investment you make. There is a chance it will continue to go down, there is a chance it will turn around and start to go up. How do you know? Transaction fees and time are already very bad, and don't forget the ridiculously high amount of energy required by the miners. There are other coins which are much better, and a lot more "green". Bitcoin might not be there anymore in a few years. Really, there is no need for PoW with good PoS algorithms anymore, which would help for the transaction fees and time as well, see e.g. WAVES.

I think is the perfect time to buy, it already went downhill at the start of the year, I dont think there will be another one soon and if there is I expect it to be when BTC has gone up for a period of time, you can also start buying another Alts like ETH and dont invest that much, since they are all cheap.

Price is quite good for now to buy some bitcoins, its price has fallen from the last month's price when compared. I think it will not decrease less than $10000 since it reached a $20000 mark and FUD's are coming back i guess unless it will drop again. No one knows when it will increase and decrease which is good on bitcoin, make an investment now to prevent regret later.

maybe you can divide your money into three part and you buy at many ranges of the price so you will know that the price is down or going to go up. I think it is not good to buy a whole 1 bitcoin at just one price because of no one guarantee if the price cannot going down again. the price is too volatile and can make you get a heart attack if you are not too strong to see the price. it is better to be safe than buy with just one click and you still need money to buy bitcoin at a lower price.

Today I think the price youve been waiting for is gone. The dip is over. You should have bought 1 btc when the price is below 10000 usd but the price is not yet far from 10k so it should be good to buy now. Another thing is look at the price action chart. after a long green candle stick you should not buy. and when you see a long red candle stick and a lot of volume sell then you should buy.

In my prediction, price of BTC will no longer fall under 10k USD this year. It's up to you when do you wanted to buy one because for me, you should take a look on other Altcoins out there like ETH or any other cryptos that you think has potential this year.

By April chances are Bitcoin will be the #2 Cryptocurrency. When people figure out the lightning network works like a centralized exchange that has low security and no insurance, you may lose a lot. BTC died when Gavin left, maybe even when Satoshi left. Either way, it is ruled by greed and incompetence and is quickly becoming obsolete.

Are you sure that the Bitcoin will be crypto #2, I think it will never happen. When price of bitcoin goes down, other currencies follow, and their price is linked to the bitcoin price.

It's true that they move the way the tide moves with the moon. But if you examine the trend, Ethereum gained 10x more than  BTC last year. Ethereum has a development roadmap, a solid core team. Ethereum has secondary and third use cases, they donated 2 million to study blockchain efficiency and are responsible for about 55% of all crypto transactions. So even though Eth goes down with BTC, its gains on average are roughly 10X BTC. Eth is the true leader of the community and is under-valued.

I think now is a good time to buy. The price could drop again in a few days to the $9k range or it could jump to $12k. Right now it is in between. I don't see it going to $8k anytime soon unless there's a huge market crash. It's up to you.

You can buy this day's price already and rest and hold your emotion. The value will rise eventually if all the issues and negative comments from other people. do long term trading, it is good.

The bitcoin's price is bloody low now, i think its the best time to buy. I dont think it can get any bit lower so its up to you if you still want to invest now and take the risk on this bloody well price of bitcoin. The drop is already at 40% and it is definitely a huge portion. But think of this very carefully because 1 bitcoin is still a very huge amount and is depressing to lose.

Nope, 11k seems like a really solid entry point to me, I would be fairly surprised if we see the price go below 10k again. Of course it can and there's a decent chance but I get the feeling the bottom is consolidated and it will be upward from here in a few days time.

If you want to buy 1 bitcoin I suggest you can buy now or this is the right time to buy bitcoin.  As of mow the price is 11k dollars and for after next month it will become 20k dollars and before end of this year it will become $40k upto 50k dollars. 11k is a good time to buy. So is 10k. So is 12k. Just cost average the price. Nobody can predict the exact bottom but you can at least get close. Either way even if you don't get the exact bottom price, you'll be getting pretty good gains once the next bull run starts.

No. You can never be able to time your entry exactly right. When the price is in a particular category you should just buy without question. Don't try to wait and get a better price to buy, when the price is already quite favourable.

Right now one bitcoin is hanging around $10k-11k. This is obviously lower than the figures we saw last year, by a big margin.

Even if bitcoin continues to go down, it won't crash under $10k. So your room for profit if you decided to wait before buynig is really just less than 10%. I have observed that the price is fluctuating between 10700 dollars and 11500 dollars with this information i think buy when it hits anything below 11000 dollars because once it charges it will rise as high as 15000 or probably register an new all time high....to wait buy now.

Definitely yes, however we don't know when the bitcoin will fall that deep because of the reason that it is unpredictable. It is true that you will gain a tremendous profit if you buy at low price and sell it high once it rise but the problem is it is tough to predict hence, as long as it is still low you should buy now now because we don't what is going to happen and even our countermeasure isn't enough.

Save yourself from being stressed on why you didn't invested on that "day". People that will told you "yes" or "no" will just give you a more confusion.

That was the case with everyone i guess,i was excited that i was able to sell off the coins when the price hit $1290 hoping it wont breach i sold off the coins thinking to get back when the price goes below $1000 and it gave me a change but i thought of waiting further but then the rally started and there was no looking back after that,i wont advice anyone to enter at this price,look for good alt coin and plan to make a good profit rather than going for a bigger risk.

i am sure btc willnot fall down to 10 000$, so its very good time to buy, soon it will start rising, you may lose max 700-800 $ but dont risk any more and buy it now.

you got some point and i agree that this is the problem most people have when deciding to buy and invest on cryptos but we cant expect the flow of cryptos as they sometimes increas or decrease no matter what the date or time so overall waiting is still beneficial in order for them to buy wisely.  In the case of bitcoin i think it is still going to decrease based on its current movement these days therefor i suggest to op that he must wait a little bit if he wants to buy  1 bitcoin in a bargain price.

Buy with 2 different times, I mean by buying 0.5BTC at this time and buy the rest after seeing the price back up or it actually drops from the price you buy.
If the price drops from the first purchase price, do a buyback and wait until the price goes up, you will benefit differently from it later.

Your investment will go along with the increase of uts market value which means that profit will be earned once its price in the market has already recovered. I think first several days of Februaty was the right time to buy Bitcoins and altcoins for fiat. Now it seems crypto is ready to go up.

As I am reading to the thread you have receive mostly answers that will still left you undecided as a lot of members are saying yes and no at the same time. If you know how to do your own analysis you won't be risking your money on an opinion you got online.

We are in the green zone for buying right now for those who are ready to start loading up and fueling up for the next rally. Off the topic, I am still very optimistic that bitcoin will have a pretty nice ride this year. Let us see how the few moments right now from here will go till end of February but for now, it is time to keep buying with any extra cash as no one in this position will definitely regret it in the long run.

Asides low, the same way a market can be overbought is the same way a market can be over sold. Right now, we are in the oversold region and it looks like bitcoin is not ready to go down further than it already had and even if it does, the gap will not be too much from the previous low. So for now, anyone who wants to buy, should just hop in.

I think that your prediction is extremely unlikely.
If the BTC/USD price would drop to the level that you suggest this would be below
the current average cost of mining a single Bitcoin.

The miners are heavily incentivized to prevent this from happening, because combined
they have invested hundreds of millions of $ into mining hardware, other infrastructure
and stuff like bribes.

I read that the price might  go up for a few hours or stay the same  but then later on in say 12 hours or longer it  will fall.  And people should sell now and buy in later on to make at least some profit.

I don't have to add much to the good answers in the thread you posted, most people think that your argument is not valid, and so do I. Miners would just shut off their equipment if it isn't profitable anymore. This would reduce the global hashrate, so the remaining miners, the ones who are probably heavily invested in hardware, would make more bitcoins per hash, and it would be profitable again. It is a self stabilizing system: the buyer demand dictates the price, but the price dictates the hashrate. The conclusion is that it is possible that it drop to $3k or even lower, if there is not enough demand. All the miner can't prevent it, because they won't buy back millions of bitcoins. And if they would, it would be just a small spike in the price, because there are so many more people and other investors who would sell then their bitcoins. Just a drop on the ocean.

Nonetheless I disagree with your view, especially with the bolded part. Miners won´t simply
shut down their operations when it is unprofitable. Combined they have invested hundreds of
millions of $ into mining hardware and other infrastructure.

Let´s imagine a big miner in China with the following properties:
-he owns a few buildings and has signed a lease for several years
-he has bribed the local officials or acquired an actual license
-he has a staff and every staff member has an employment contract
-he has invested 50M $ into mining hardware
-he has invested money into other infrastructure in order to enable a smooth mining operation
...

Do you really think that if mining becomes unprofitable he will simply call it a day? After all it could
only be unprofitable for a short time if the price rises again. He is heavily incentivized to prop
up the price and so is every other miner, who would be in the exact same situation.

In short my claim that the bolded part of your response is wrong is based on the fact that nobody, who
has invested millions of $ into something will just shut down their operations and leave. Instead he would
do everything in his power to make it profitable again, or to ensure the continuation of his business
in other ways (e.g. ordering even more ASICs in order to mine more blocks).

The capital that is needed to keep the BTC price above a certain level is a fraction of
the amount that the miners stand to lose if the Bitcoin price falls below the average cost
of mining a single Bitcoin for a longer time frame.

They can be incentivized as much as they want, it doesn't matter. Bitcoin market cap is $146 billion. I don't know how much they have invested or how much they are willing to invest to pump the market, but I still think it is a drop on the ocean. Then they lose $100k per day, if it runs, but you make $0 per day if it is shut down. Of course, it might be not full-on / full-off, they might try to keep running half of it, and if everyone does it, profit still gets positive, but it doesn't matter for the price.

The price now is already in dip and i guess this would be the right time to buy as we can see that the market is in red since the first month of this year. The first trimester is coming to an end, so we expect that the price of coins will kick back again and will continue to rise slowly until it reach the target price of year 2018. And prediction said that it will reach to $25000 to $30000 for bitcoin. We will wait and see then.

Right, it is not a bad timing if someone will decide to invest now on bitcoin. The price have been on dip and it looks like it will still go low. We have been asking and waiting for good news to somehow come but what we only receive is bad news and continuous dumping. There is nothing wrong to assume that the price will climb up again but I don't see it soon. It is a good time to invest, that is a fact but of course there is no guarantee for a good profit after months. Anyways, invest  if you can and if you are brave enough. Businessmen and investors didn't become one without getting out of their own comfort zones. Just like what my mother always say, "You have to think outside the box." What you need will not always be with you or be around you. Cryptos will always be as volatile like this, it is up to you if you will take the risk.

You maybe saying the right thing about the whales leaving the the market but I think we should see bitcoin above the greedy whales who are not interested in the development of cryptocurrencies but are just interested on the profit they can make. Seen it fluctuating between $9250 to $9325 this morning and it seems to be comfortable at this price and most people are fine with this.
When it goes below the $1000s then people start to say it is pulling back and that is time to buy.
It is all up to you and your personal preference at which price you are comfortable to pay for those bitcoins and how much they are worth to you when it comes down to it.

I never expected the price of bitcoin to cross $10k last time and i expected some sort of resistance and a correction before crossing those valuations but the price rallied till $20k and then we had a good correction and it is expected to test deep waters because the rally was so smooth that it did not have any issues crossing any price barriers on its way up. The bear run might not end soon but entering the coin around $7k is a good bargain in my opinion.

Right now is the perfect opportunity to buy bitcoin, people are waiting to see an even better price but what it is the point of waiting for a price that may never come, the best thing to do is to buy right now especially if you are expecting to hold for the long term, an investment right now at 6700 could multiply itself 3 to 5 times in a few years.

Just do it, the best time to own bitcoin is when it began, the next best time is today.
Unless your a speculator then just whenever your limit orders get touched then that is the time to buy.
Either way may as well a lot of coins are out there its nice to to have some to find the right opportunity in alts.

Who ever recommend for you to wait before you buy did a very nice analysis for you because whrn you compared the value of Bitcoin today and what it was as at the time you open this thread one will see the differences in between.

In my own opinion, the price of bitcoins today is decent enough that you can invest a huge amount and hold it for a few months because  the price is expected by cryptocurrency analyst to increase anytime.

True, how many stories we have seen from people in the forum that were waiting for an even better price miss their opportunity and then bitcoin skyrockets and then they buy in panic only for the price to crash and now they sell in panic, the opportunity bitcoin is giving people right now is not going to last forever and you better take advantage of it.

If you for more dropping it takes long so I suggest if you are willing to buy you can buy it now because the price is affordable than before. It's better to have early instead wait for more dropping. Who knows what if bitcoin go higher instead of dropping.

You can already invest right now because the market prices are currently decreasing and just wait for the pumping time just like what happened last year, in order to earn more profit.
