I personally think this is a very optimistic opinion(or maybe even TOO optimistic), as I personally really don't see fiat to be dead in a very short timespan such as 5 years. Bitcoin's rise to global adoption won't definitely be a smooth one. There's going to have many bumps/hiccups as remember that we're dealing with a currency here; there's definitely going to be interference from banks and governments.

Be ambitious. It will reach the 50,000 grand mark this year. Or maybe even higher. The momentum of the growth of Bitcoin behemoth is just unstoppable. And I am sure of that.

At this ponit I would be more focused on the 10K level.
The general trend of bitcoin during the past month goes down, not up.
Personaly I think that the 10K we have at the moment is more than a good price for bitcoin.

Probably it could. There is no impossible in crypto price except to exceed in unrealistic prediction. 20k will be reach once again by bitcoin and I think not just 20k but more than 20k. Yes, your right history repeats itself but not totally repeat from the beginning.

Take Draper's advice with a grain of salt.  The guy owns tons of Bitcoin so it benefits him when the price goes up, I don't think anyone will laugh at you for using cash in five years.  Cash will always be around.  That being said I would not be surprised if Bitcoin hits $20,000 again this year, it's use as a base asset is increasing, especially since you can't buy a lot of alt coins with fiat, and need to exchange Bitcoin for them.

I feel this is a more optimistic view.
If no more countries accept BTC, so I think the price of the BTC will remain at around 10 k, because the BTC is still exist many problems, speed slow, high transfer fees and so on.

Can go, sometimes bitcoin price is growing/rising very fast and sometimes very slow. Ups and down always running. Every year's first bitcoin react this as like this January.Although Market does not stable all time. But now a possibility to go 20k$.

Well that is in the past and back then the price of bitcoin was really that low and he never has a though that the price will surely surge this far, And I think he can sure recover that 10 bitcoin instantly, The real question here is if the owner of that pizza parlor still has that 10 bitcoin, And Back then bitcoin is the only Cryptocurrency and it is too easy to mine for bitcoin.

It is great how influential people say before bitcoin. But one thing I do not agree yet not against it is that removing fiat and take those for fun. I guess bitcoin could be put on a greater and better place after five years, where I just agree from your opinion. But then, fiats are fiats, bitcoins are bitcoin. They have runned a long year before bitcoin came. With or without internet, transactions have been made with fiats. I am not into any of the two. Mine is, both of these are part of the evolution yet both could still remain.

It is, it will hit to $20k usd of bitcoin value. All of us are speculating when it will hit at this expected price because bitcoin market is very active it may go high anytime or down. So, we always into prediction about bitcoin but for sure I believe  the capability to increase its value.

That's right, we should have positive thinking that future bitcoin prices will break the record high so far. Because if you look back to a few years ago, every month after the turn of the year bitcoin prices always go down and then bounce back in the middle of the year.

bitcoin will retest the previous high... with the possibility of going up to 35k first. the sheer amount of demand for bitcoin will drive this price, and once FUD is exhausted (which it pretty much is right now) there will be no stopping it :)

Relative is a very wide term for you? Because the volatility has been pretty active in the last few weeks. We were moving up and down within a range of $13,000/$15,000, till that range couldn't be supported anymore, which resulted in the range ($10,000/$12,000) we're currently moving in.

It won't happen till it happens. I have seen so many people talking about resistance levels, base levels, etc, that they have lost any real credibility (more than before) due to how far off all of these predictions and chart 'readers' have been. Even the important $10,000 level isn't anything this market is willing to support in a serious manner. It has quite easily been dumped below $10,000 for two times now, and a third time is very possible. It's clear that the market just reacts completely different from what people expect it to do.

Agreed. Fiat currency has been around for so long. I doubt we'll be seeing it removed in just 5 years. There would be such a huge uproar if this happened because not even a majority of the world's population uses bitcoin. There's no reason to fix something that isn't really broken in the eyes of many people.

In general, people are averse to change. If something like the moving forward from fiat currency were to happen, it would definitely take more than 5 years and it would need to be eased into. Not everyone can use a crypto, especially the homeless/needy. How are they even going to access wallets if they don't own technology? There are still a lot of bumps in the pathway there.

I don't know if I agree with that quote you provided, however 20k price is a no-brainer. It'll likely go beyond that by end of year (or maybe even in a couple of months). Some are projecting anywhere from 30 to 40 to 50k by end of year. Time will tell, but yes, the probability that it will hit 20k again is huge.

By now, I would not say that breaking the twenty thousand-dollar mark will be easy to break. Bitcoin's market value is falling and is having a hardtime to cross 10 000 USD at this moment. I don't believe in chain lightning. It does not solve the scaling problem. It seems to me that segwit2x had more chances to make bitcoin easy to use. But we see a stop to this project. Dropping down of bitcoin prices was so fast, it is almost half of the previous value. Yet I still believe that bitcoin touches again their previous value if the China together with the South Korea delete the restrictions of crypto currencies in their country. What are we talking about here? usage of fiat and digital cryptocurrencies or the price of bitcoin to reach $20k soon? Getting to that 5 years from now about the use of fiat currency, it will not come to an end and will become extinct. Not all people can adopt such technologies.
History will repeat itself and base on that fact, bitcoin will definitely surge because it has finite supply. Buy if you think bitcoin will keep on increasing.

It is not about being ambitious or not, it is is about what price bitcoin can realistically reach, 50k seems high, but it is not outside the real of possibility, since the year is still very young but at the same time we cannot expect every single year to be that good, there are going to be some bad years once in a while and we must accept that as part of any asset that has a price that suffers from very high volatility.

It is not being ambitious too, but if we will do nothing but to watch over the price every hour then nothing really would happen in our life, you know that bitcoin can hit the price like that, just something happen so it become downed around $10-11 but still it is a bit higher compared to the start of the year  last year.

I think we are coming close to the time when fiat is going to become in relevant and obsolete! Bitcoin and other form of crypto currencies are going to take the place of fiat money in future. bitcoin price is difficult to predict, and indeed we do not hopes too high, but at least it sure bitcoin can reach very high prices in someday. we can see the previous year, I never think bitcoin can be increased up to $15k in a short time it only took a few months. so why not in the year of 2018 bitcoin can rise higher after the current down deep enough.

The price of bitcoin came down from the all time high position to less than half its valuation,but i am pretty much confident that the price would catch up at a later time,it is good to see a correction once in a while after a big rally and hopefully we would cross the all time valuation in the coming years.

I think 20k dollars is an exaggerated value for Bitcoin, I do not mean balloons. Because Bitcoin came to a very sudden 20k dollar level, and then it fell to the level of $ 15,000. I think $ 15,000 is very important for Bitcoin, so I can call it the real peak.

Because btc or any coin could not make fiat uselss in future as they are to be here for a longer period as they built faith in people's mind.So don't be optimistic on such thoughts.

Yes. I believe bitcoin can be worth more than 20k USD. At present, bitcoin has a lot of good news and is well known in the world. The market last week experienced a lot of bad news, which is the news that Twitter prohibits advertising cryptocurrency and ICO. That made people sell their crypto. After all that happened I believe in April and May 5 markets revived and my investments are profitable.

Nah, fiat cannot be replaced by any other form of currency. It has been the most relevant and easiest way to buy and sell. Bitcoin and other crypto may maximize its popularity and usage, but it doesnt take the fiat away financially.
I agree with Btc hitting $20k again, it will break through and set another ATH before the year ends. No matter how deep btc would go today, it will always recover since a lot of investors are just waiting to find a perfect entry point. When there is a huge demand in supply the price will rise.

I don't really think bitcoin will hit 20K$ again early this year or before this year ends if this bearish movement continues further where it seems its market price is getting even more deeper now? If it won't hit this year, but i still strongly believe that it will in the near future.
