Title: Do your friends or your family think BTC is a fad that will fade away?
Post by: A.Delaney on January 26, 2018, 05:50:46 AM
My friends like to give me crap about BTC. They say it’s a waste of money and will eventually crash. My wife thinks it’s a fad and will be gone in a year. That once the hype is gone people will move on to something else. It makes it hard to invest when your wife isn’t on board. Especially when your a miner and it’s noisy with high electric bills. I’m sure many have faced this with people they are close to. I get sick of the negativity about it when they don’t even have a clue what it is and won’t even listen to an explanation. It’s frustrating.

Well my friends do and I can't blame them as something like this that is too good to be true makes them have 2nd thoughts and actually warn themselves in entering. Of course I still have friends that thinks Bitcoin is a bubble and and that it is a currency for criminals but I think that can be change through time. What I mean about that is many new people are entering into the world of cryptocurrency that even they themselves have change their views to it. With some support of the government and businesses I think Bitcoin will become a currency for the future.

I had the same thing with my family, but one Xmas I bought them expensive gifts for Xmas and I paid for it with Bitcoin. They thought I won the Lottery and started asking questions. <This was when the price was very high>

I explained it to them and also how I bought and paid for it and now suddenly this scepticism declined and turned into curiosity. A lot of them begged me for help to get into Bitcoin and they are now even more exited than I am. ^smile^

Show & Tell my friend, it is the only way.

This problem, many people will encounter, close friends do not understand bitcoin relatives, that this is just a scam, because they do not understand bitcoin, you can explain to them the principles and techniques of bitcoin, if so Less than their understanding, then perhaps you can only prove to them that you are right.

Honestly, I did not discuss this question with the friends. But here a husband supports me. In fact there is a quite good profit, it I returned, therefore not offensively

It is difficult for some people to believe in abstract things..It takes time..
If you can prove to them that you really earn income from this work, it will be faster to believe..

I have that experienced when I am starting with bitcoins. I am earning cents worth of btc for weeks worth of effort and people around me are criticizing my efforts. Even my family laughs at me. But I  just continue what I loved to do even if my wife is against it and is laughing at me behind my back. But eventually I have surpassed those criticisms and mockery the moment I am earning a huge amount of money from bitcoin. Today they have my total support to what I do.

My advise is to keep what you are doing. Dont do it just because of profit but also because it is your passion and you are happy doing it. Sooner or later they will realize that they are wrong when you reach success at what you do.

Same here. I already tell my friends about bitcoin as well as my cousins but they think bitcoin is a scam you know its hard to share things to people whos not even intrested in it. I still did not share it with my family because I don't want to be disappointed with their feedback but its up to them. For me it will take long years for bitcoin to fade.

Some of them do. Some think it's a scam which makes me laugh. Although there are some who are in the market too and I analyze prices and charts with them from time to time. Give advice on which coins to buy and such.

I am grateful that many friends who believe and support me to continue the same work in the world of crypto either mining activities or trading activities because I was able to prove to them that I can get some money from crypto. So, I suggest you continue your activity with crypto and surely one day you will be able to prove that crypto is really capable of changing someone's life and thus your closest people will start to trust you even join you to use crypto as a long-term investment tool.

I do not like when not absolutely clever women climb out of their business, today it is behind a beet, because it sits at you that everything is bad with bitcoin, and tomorrow it will swear to you in love, when you will go to plus and will be very rich, not fair , it is worth pondering...

me too. It's annoying to hear that your relatives are complaining about bitcoin. They view it as a scam, not good. But I still keep my point. bitcoin will still survive and develop

Introducing Bitcoin to the family is no easy task. The same goes for close friends ..The discussions can be daunting and sometimes fall to the wayside. Some even find their way into ridiculous theories of absurdity.

Maybe bitcoin can last for a long time, and I don't know how long it will last forever if someone wants to buy it.

The future currency has the tendency of digitization, but bitcoin can not become a currency, it does not have the property of currency.
