Cryptocards

The biggest thing to hit the global market since the invention of currency is the word “Bitcoin”. What started merely as an alternate electronic payment system soon became the seventh wonder of modern economy. We created Cryptocards a digital collectible limited card series based on smart contracts, to capture the most important milestones in Bitcoin’s history. Trade, collect find rare cards, show off your collection, and own a piece of Bitcoin history! This collection was designed to remind the world that you, the early adopters drove Bitcoin into the mainstream and these cards are their memento/souvenirs from some of the moments you might have witnessed.

We only have one advice for you: HODL! The cards will only appreciate in value.

Are these physical or digital? How much will they be?

Are these like those Pepe or PepeCash cards?

Will there be a market to trade/sell/buy these?

Hello minerjones,

Yes, the concept is similar to Pepe cards. But we use different technologies and have more features.
Pepe Cards are based on assets on Bitcoin blockchain powered by Counterparty and you can pay using PepeCash.

MisfitArt platform is based on a Ethereum contract and you can pay using ETH.
The Ethereum contract behind MisfitArt allows us to add more digital art/collections in the future. PepeCards remains niched on Pepe Cards. Our first collection now is CryptoCards.

Yes, MisfitArt is a market to buy and sell any CryptoCards. You can buy a card, offer for sale, transfer ownership, bid, withdraw funds .etc.

CryptoCards are digital assets whose ownership is tracked on the Ethereum Blockchain using a smart contract.
Any CryptoCard/digital art asset on MisfitArt resembles an ERC20 asset. You can bid, buy, sell, transfer a card.

Regarding prices we set initial prices (in ETH) on the cards which you can view on collectible page.

In Q3 2018 when we will scale the platform and gain a critical mass of collectors we plan to ship the physical version of each card, to every collector.

This is very cool! I’ve wanted to see Smart Contracts in action for some time!

This may be a little off topic as I’m simply curious - how many “functions” per say, of this card game, are handled by smart contracts ..if that makes sense? Really cool idea and will be looking in to it! Thx for sharing.

Yes it makes sense ChiBitCTy.

The answer is almost all of them. You can take a look at the main smart contract file https://github.com/skunkworkslab/misfitart/blob/master/contracts/DigitalArtCollectible.sol (https://github.com/skunkworkslab/misfitart/blob/master/contracts/DigitalArtCollectible.sol)
The web site mainly queries the smart contract to get details about a card/digital art: who is the owner, is it for sale, transaction history, bids, .etc

On the smart contract we store details about each card/digital art: total supply, price, author, collection, transaction history, offer status, current bid, .etc

We do not store everything though. Images are too big and expensive to successfully store on the smart contract, so we store their fingerprint/signature to uniquely identify them.

Thank you for sharing that info. The tech behind it is something I don’t fully understand but am working hard to try to grasp..so much appreciated!
