That's good if Robinhood will build a platform i hope it's 0% trading fees, but ofcourse looking back to bitconnect they will create new token that is similar to their ponzi scheme platform. I hope Coinmarketcap won't allow them to list their exchange there.

Coinmarket might not list the exchange, but the token or coin will likely be listed. Silly how people will get scammed with bitconnect and then move to the next lending coin.

I am very excited about the Robinhood platform.

R=These are kinda old news already :) especially about bitconnect, how much time passed? This project is dead and I see no way to get it back.

The Robinhood isnt hold news, as the platform is launching in a few days. This is different than bitconnect dying down, this is a class action lawsuit now.

Positive that Robinhood is entering the space, Bitconnect is an obvious debacle but everybody could have known that easily, and the Canadian robbery is unfortunate but these kind of things are going to happen given the rise of Bitcoins. However, the robbers must clearly not know the technology as those robberies are essentially futile in nature.

Bitconnect had it coming, regulators were not giving the company breathing space till they shut down their lending  platform. I hope Trevon James also gets his behind sued for luring investors into the fraudulent lending scheme with his YouTube videos.

High risk, high yields. We are grown ups and nobody forced us to invest in what was obviously doomed to fail. Robinhood exchange? Not a bad idea but if I remember the story clearly, isn't that robbing some people to pay others?

Robinhood is a pretty solid idea, I mean they were able to get into stock trading and I guess there way of getting into the new investing thing (thing most popular with the young generation) crypto is giving them free trading. We'll see how it works out in time.

Even though I think that you shilling your own video is wrong, I do applaud you for getting the straight news out for people.

How do you think this will effect bitcoin?

It'll surely open the doors to many more investors, that would otherwise not trade, or perhaps trade more rarely, due to the fees associated.

I think they are just afraid that as time goes by, there are more exchange that is entering in the crypto exchange wars. What I think that they envy about Robinhood is the low or free of charge buying and selling. But I doubt that when their servers were been loaded they will look for a way to handle massive users and it will cost a lot for them and start asking for a vip fee or so. It is just what I think but I do respect and appreciate the efforts done by Robinhood, It offers more doors to new trader who want explore the trading world of crypto.

I am glad (obviously sorry for those who lost money) that Bitconnect couldn't cause more damage to the community and innocent newbies thinking to have found the ultimate passive income investment.

I have seen a wide variety of YouTubers promote Bitconnect where they constantly were talking about how much they have already made, and that they will come through with another $10,000 investment, bla bla bla.

I seriously hope that all these YouTubers will get sued for their horrific participation in an obvious ponzi scheme. Some of them uploaded a sorry video explaining how they themselves have been a victim too, but no one buys it.

These cockroaches have deleted their videos where they promote Bitconnect, but if people have downloaded them before they went offline, it may turn out to be helpful when suing these pathetic beings.

Happy that Bitconnect finally got closed down... was about time. I think the year 2018 will be awesome, especially for 3.0 blockchains such as Cardano (https://coincodex.com/crypto/cardano/), Aion (https://coincodex.com/crypto/aion/) and Aeternity (https://coincodex.com/crypto/aeternity/).

So fill up your bags, hold on to them and enjoy the ride :)

I hope the team behind bitconnect will be punished before law and have to set an example that you cannot scam people ,if not i am sure they will come up with another scam project,it is a really good news to hear Robinhood will be introducing zero fees trading in bitcoin and i am sure they will pose a challenge to the rest of the exchanges.

Which are the main features of Robinhood? The name suggests either something very virtuous or something very scammy...

Bitconnect is a very sophisticated phishing project. Bitconnect brings huge profits to the leader and removes most of the assets of the investors below, a fraudulent multi-level model. I think investors should be more cautious about projects like Bitconnect because it's too risky for your property because you can lose your money anytime.

I didn't think those robbers got away with anything, a further inquiry confirmed my suspicions. There wasn't anything stolen, luckily, but it definitely looked like there might have been something that could have happened if the situation escalated. This is one of the reasons why you shouldn't publish the addresses of such institutions, and they should try to remain as anonymous as possible. I can think of one exchange in Canada that avoids posting their address, and it hasn't caused them any grief yet.

I'm particularly interested in the Robinhood interaction, not just with Bitcoin and Ethereum, however. Sure, they'll be added into the exchanges, which will pretty much be a strong boost for each coin, but what I'm interested in is the fact that they're adding support for certain altcoins in the sense of a price tracker. The way I see that is that there's potential for these coins to also enter the Robinhood exchanges in the future. If there's some support now, it's possible that full support is to follow. Those 14 coins are worth looking into as investment opportunities.

Unfortunately for the gullible ones who were led into participating, no amount of sorry videos will help return their lost investments.

I believe having a physical address gives the exchange a certain tone of authenticity. Not everyone will want to get involved with an exchange that can disappear with their cash without any means of confronting them legally.

Its not guaranteed they will be added, it just gives Robinhood an Idea of what people are interested in. However if you like some of the altcoins that are added, then this might give them a little more value.
