with new bct update to become a full member need 100 merits and i still have only 10 merits. What is the best way to earn merits

This merits system is easy to identify a scam users. So you should post clearly and quality of exact need is the best way to increase your post. Because someone like your post they give merits. But it is not simple get so try to activate in this forum else you don't get merits.

Its very simple,post some good quality posts then it will earn you some merits. :) That is the only way you can get or earn merit.

If you are getting the merits in some other ways means you are abusing the system and you will get tagged by DT. ;D

The simplest thing you can do is make content that people are actually interested in and it worth someone rewarding you for your efforts. This kind of thread won't earn you anything in most situations (unless someone wants to be a contrarian for my post here), if you're making a giant database and keeping it uploaded with information people actually want to see then you can be rewarded for your efforts. This goes for the various loan/scam list threads that people make, among other things. There's a lot you can actually do, it just comes down to quality. A thread OP with a quality piece of information or something people agree with will likely receive merits, and likely a number of them, since a lot of people will see it.

TL;DR Make good content and start good threads with stuff people actually want to know.

There is no simple way to earn merits my friend.The sole purpose of this new merit system was to eliminate scammers,that means to earn merits the only way is to do good quality posts.But yes there are some tips that I would like to give you.
Try posting in new hot topics and make sure that your post is good enough so that other people will notice it.If your post is meaningful then I am sure good members will merit you.
And try posting in new topics which haven't even crossed a page.People tend to read the posts in the first page.So if your post is good you will get easy merits.

The merit system was put into implementation to reduce low quality posts and increase the quality of  the posts and also try to stop spamming users. As the system was to increase the quality of posts, what you have to do to earn merits is just make good quality posts that's people might find interesting and helpful so that they can reward your posts by giving you merits. There is no other way to earn merits faster.

Post some useful topics and participate to a important discussion and you will earn your merits easily. or you can have it as gift from your friend. i dont think that is an illegal action sharing merits with your friends.

Post nice threads, everyone is just getting used to it so you might make a lot of quality threads without merit.

I think its gonna time some time to iron out the system... For now, we should just focus on providing quality content and good discussions on the subforums. I do think it's gonna be very tough to reach 100 merits for the Full Member rank though.

You are going to realize that getting 100 merit will require you to spend hours agonizing over writing a meritworthy post. Then you must make sure the people who have merit (mostly legendary members) agree with your position politically. Then you have to pray that someone with merit actually reads your post and bothers to give you any.

Basically, you will never get 100 merit unless it is your life goal. Many people will go to college and earn masters degrees before you become a legendary - unless you are naturally gifted at writing and persuading people.

Increasing post quality is the easiest way to earn merits. If your post quality is good enough, another members will read and if they satisfy to read your post, they can give you merit.

It's clear that you intention is just to rank up and go earning.
As everyone said, there is no other way but to post good or quality posts mate.

I'll be ranking up on tuesday and because of the merit system my rank will be frozen for while.
But still I see it as a good thing.

It is hard to earn merits now so i this happen have a good and bad things start from good some farmers account will goin to reduce now because of this new system and also a spammer and alt accounts and in bad news getting merit is so hard now even your post is good no of no one wants to merit you you rank will stuck!

If you want to receive merit, you need to have good posts and raise your views. Whoever reads your posts and feels useful they will give you merit. But I think that this is not feasible when everyone keeps their own merits or cross-exchange.

There is no easy way for you and all of us to get free and easy merits. That is why Theymos launched the merit system, which aimed at eliminating or at least reducing spammers and spamming posts in the forum. The final Target of the system is to clean up the forum, make this one a cleaner, better one for users, who are dedicated their time in the forum to increase their knowledge and help others.

Yes, but you understand that that is indeed the primary reason why a lot of people are here.  Especially the garbage shitposters who shouldn't be writing anything in English.  I'm sure people are trading merit points and are working out ways to get them, and some shitposters are going to get by the sphincter, but it's going to cut down on a lot of them.  We'll see incremental improvement, and I am feeling sunny about that.  It sure beats having to find and tag each one, and then have to deal with the blowback.  This, I hope, will turn out to be a natural solution to the problem of quality posters.

I hope you genuinely understand what the merit system is for and why it is being implemented. We are all having a hard time coping with it as some are just simply abusive and feels that this is a huge step for them while most of us would feel unnoticed despite posting constructively. The best thing you can do is to educate yourself towards Bitcoin and share what you've learned by posting cohesively and constructively. I've noticed that people who deserves the merit the most are those that has something new, interesting, and informative to say. Try incorporating these aspects to your post so that merit holders would see you as someone who is deserving. It is going to be tough journey, but it will all be worth it once you finally get some merits and rank up. Good luck to you and to all of us.

I do my best to submit sensible posts, but unfortunately, it's up to those who like them and are willing to go out of their way to spend sMerits on you. I guess I'll also have to practice creative writing.. lol

I think this is a good move, some of the profiles here have contribute a lot to this forum. I believe 80% of people have interest in merit because they want to increase their ranking so that they can at-least participate bounties or become more influential (adding pics ect.) That lets you stand out. I am wondering if people actually read though all the text here?
People need to see quality content & if you are lucky enough, someone will notice that you make a little sense, give you those Merits & you will feel happy. :)

Most of the people present here are only for signature campaigns and not for learning anything new by replying garbage to off topic posts and trying to increase their rank and join in campaigns. Since the price of BTC has increased nowadays more and more people are joining this forum. Hence there is no way of getting merits easily you need to post top quality in order to gain merits. If you indulge in any of shortcut ways of increasing them you may end up in red trust  :( Hence improve yourself and you will automatically rank up. Ranking up so easily in this forum by posting shit has become common and hence this system will give a fitting reply to those senseless spammers ;D ;D

Give a service, or maybe free service may people who need your help will send you a merits idk how much you can get, but if you do the best they will give you best too.

It's not good by focusing only on ranking up. However, most of members in the forum take advantage of bounties, campaigns, right? Nothing bad by doing this, taking money. The other side which is also important is getting more knowledge and helping each other, which will be motivated further by new launched merit systems.

There is no easy way to earn merits aside from making a quality post which is the main reason of this new system. Though still not guaranteed to get some merits if you post a quality one but at least you do your part and it will be recognized one day.

Only by writting good quality post you can earn more merits. Suppose someone ask a question for easily understanding about any topic. Then if you clearly answer him details about the question,  and if the person ( who ask or another)  feels that the answer is more clear and helpful, he can give you merit.For easily understand merits is like as  ( like,  retweet, upvote)  etc. i think you can understand.

The operative word here is "can", not "will". Because in your scenario, what happens if the person who received a good answer does not give any merit? Absolutely nothing. You are only relying on the goodwill of strangers to give merit, while they have no incentive to do so.

A comparison to upvotes is irrelevant in this context, because upvotes have an impact on how the posts are ordered in a thread, so as a user I have an incentive to upvote good posts, because I want to see good posts whichever thread I go to. Since this is a forum, and the order of posts cannot change, I have no incentive to give merit. As such, merits and upvotes are completely different.

The only easy way for you to earn/ get merits is preparing more knowledge about the crypto ecosystem, which in turn help you to compose better-qualitied posts. Those posts which have good quality will increase the probability at which you will receive merits from others, whom like your posts and ready to send their sMerits to you.

What a possitive approach to fight against merit system to be ranked up!

The right answer would be to post or contribute quality stuff but most likely your post will be ignored so the best answer would be better post in topics that are really really popular and post something that will amuse and tickle the heart of the higher ranked members and you'll get at least 1 point at the end of the day lol.

One way and most easiest way to gather merit is to search all your friends on Facebook all around the continent that is also in this furom,  make high quality post, since it's  the qualification and the most positive way of earning point then tell your friends to give you merit following the required procedure.

Yeah this is on point totally, many can argue but a lot of it will depend on if someone will bother to merit you and/or if your position is "politicaly" in the same way as the guys that hold those merits. It seems really easy, but it's not. There are Legendary figures who know the whole forum and each other almost in the face. I think it would be more honest if all the newcomers including allocated a certain number of privileges, so that all could reciprocate, if you like the post. For example, I watch some people who wanted to thank. Unfortunately, I can't do that, I have no privileges. It turns out, going in circles, from member to legendary and back.

the first thing that i wanna do before answering your question is giving you a tiny advice. Be patient, don't be greedy. That is the key. there is no magic or a hack that can make u rich in a night. You need to wait and learn. Everything will come slowly, but in the end it will come. Be active , you will understand more on the way things work. About merit points, you will need to write posts that have good quality. that will show , that you really deserve to be a full member . Also, you shouldn't post in topics that have already more than 20 pages of replies. that is called spam and there is a big chance that what you said , has already been said in the 500 quotes before yours.
 

Make a very constructive post or thread that will bring a positive impact on this forum, it will earn merit point easily, that way you will surely be easy to get merit. But if you are already famous in this forum, it will make the users here will easily give you merit points for you. Btw, popularity will bring a good impact too.

I think merit system is okay but(there is always but) it has numerous flaws. For example you can buy merits. You can give like I don't know 1 $ per merit to someone? That is possible? And what about newbie people? How can they earn merits? They don't have that much experince as Legendary member has ? How will they earn merits? There has to be some boundaries. Actually the merits system.is a very good initiative.Recently bct forum has had too much spamming and it's fair enough that only quality users are rewarded.That being said it seems people are abusing the merits system as well ...:( And I haven't got a single merit to date

Correct, there is no other way to gain merit just do constructive post, i would recommend to gain merit is you should find a thread which other member asking for help then answer it in a nice way and give some recommendation for the question. That is the easiest way to earn merits.

To earn merit you should try harder to construct a quality one. I suggest tht you find  a thread where someone is asking a question then give your most helpful answer, it would also count if you were the first one to answer the query. If the person finds your answer helpful then  merit is sure to be given to you.

Actually even after making such quality posts many are still not getting merit, it is because they post in a thread that has lot's of replies or a topic that is not important to waste time in reading. The best way to earn merits is by choosing a good topic, something that you think people will be interested to read, of course having a good quality post is really important, another is don't reply to a thread that has hundreds of post, you are just wasting your effort on that.

The best way to earn merits is to ignore merits. Just be a useful contributing member of the forum.

As I posted elsewhere - Merits are like cats, it you chase them they will run away from you, if you ignore them, but behave in a generally friendly fashion, they will come to you.

Everyone already explained so many things that how you can earn merit.  I am saying what I thought about how you can get merit.  Don't think about merit,  just do quality post, constructive post and do research before posting... Means what are you going to post in the forum think about it that if it's contributing in forum or not... If it's not contributing in the forum means your post is a shitpost and it's useless... And if your post is contributing in forum and its on topic then you are good... People automatically give you merit for your contributions...

I agree, I think theres no short cut in earning merit. You need to work for it. A piece of advise buddy , if english is not your first language and you find difficulty in speaking of it. You better read more because it will enhance your vocabulary that will really help you to provide a good and quality post. That can attract some people to give you a merit.

When I first saw the new update on bTC regarding merits, i just told myself to go on with wjat i do. But when a friend of mine rold me that i needed 10 merits to be a member, I was alrmed, really alarmed. So i ask a member of the forum on tips how to get merits and read forums regarding merits. That, i needed to make quality posts so i can be awarded with some merits. Just a thought, what if i thought i posted a quality one but the moderators doesn't count it as one?? I guess i just needed to continue my posts and response hoping that i made one quality post.

The merit system is made if you are qualified to rank up and to avoid those shit poster, account buyer, scam and etc. When the forum updated many users are disagree because the rank up will become to hard for now. But it is made to improve the forum that we need to work hard.

simply you just have to do and make posts as usual. the difference is when we make a useful post and also quality then we have the opportunity to get a point merit from other users in this forum. This is really sad but true. Pursuing a merit can be a very stressful thing. Better ignore this merits and try to contribute as much as possible. Can help at least 1 person in this forum is better than making shit-post.

The problem is that people will not be motivated to give smerits to good quality posts because they rather choose to keep them as commodity. Would you give your last merits, when you need badly to receive some in return?

This system would work better imo if when you gave merits, you received a bit back, lets say 0.5 or 0.1 out of 1 merit given away.

I don't think you understand the Merit system, merits are not a commodity. I have sMerit to give away, and there is no advantage to me to keep them. It doesn't affect my merit total either way. Giving merit in the expectation that you will receive merit in return is against the rules, and can earn you negative trust, or being added to my merit abusers gallery.

You have 10 merit points by default and you gained 4 merit points to make a total of 14 merit points. Just review the 4 posts of yours which got merit and try to post in the same way as you did for that 4 posts. It may take a lot of time but eventually it will give you  100 merit points.

Make sure the post you created have a good quality, I mean when you create a thread or comment on a thread it should provide clear information and understandable. So the people who don't know the latest information or who don't know the world of cryptocurrency can understand it easily and clearly.

There is no best way. There is only one way and that way is improve the quality of you post. Quality does not mean volume but value added to the point under discussion.

As I understand, there's no such thing gets easily on here, we must work for it,merit system is one way of hazing the beginners either we stay or quit because of this difficulties.  but referring the advise of the legendary, we just post a quality idea and avoid posting nonsense to acquire that merit.

There is no easy way to earn merit . All those saying post quality post ( yes that can earn you merit) but ask your self if you are even making sense, will they give you merit for free ?  It is impossible to get free merit from somebody ,something that is valuable, just like Ether or Ripple. So focus on writing quality post and stay as member rank forever.

Today is the first day I read about this merit system, and I feel bit ashamed. Many members have roughly 1:1 ratio, and some even has 1:2, but mine is 61:0, that says my writing has been so poor. When I read at many places that the merit system is to distinguish shit posters from real members, I felt so bad.

I registered here around 3~4 months back, and never participated a bounty campaign (as a trial, I'm trying one now, but even that I don't expect to receive bounty because I didn't follow the full process, but did it to understand how to do it, e.g., putting a signature etc.). First I came here (bitcointalk) to study various issues and understand about the crypto projects, but when I saw we need to have some posts to get to higher ranks, I posted some simple answers (while reading about the projects, news, etc.), never scams though, but probably some of them would already have been answered as sometimes I answered in around 10+, 20+ pages.

I read all the comments here in 4 pages, and decided myself I'll never write just because I want a post as an activity, but when I feel my answer would be worth to someone. .

I also feel some of my answers would have been good (maybe not many people interested reading them around 10th+, 20th+ pages) Having said all of these, I still cannot figure out what would be a "quality" answer to earn a merit, so can someone who already earned merits show me a example where they received a merit (i.e., both the question, and your own answer), then I can probably understand how a quality answer should be constructed.

If there is a way I can go back and delete my answers (activity), I would do. I really feel bit shamed to incline towards shit posters. Anyway, this is a good lesson, and you will see only good answers from me now onwards. Please share your own experience me to judge how to make quality answers.

At first, Merit is just like a reward or price that is given to a chosen person. A person that are excellent or maybe a person who’s doing or perform  much better than others.
In question how to earn merits easily?  Merit can get easily when we read ,understand and follow the rules on how we get it.  In the rules, it discussing  easily that merit is given to the person that are producing a meaningful  and constructive post in the forum and  can help others specially the beginners to understand the crypto currency world. Many discussion in the forum should help us to have merit by answering or quoting well the specific topic. All we need to do is to have a broad knowledge about this new technology therefore we can apply or reply a meaningful form.

Just simple make a good ,quality and constructive post on forum to make others gave you a merits.But we all know it is so hard to get merit and for me I try my best and perfect my grammar to make it fully understand to others ,to have a rewards of merit.

There are no easy ways of earning merits. That's why its called a merit, you can only be merited if you deserved it. So its not about how long your post is, or how good you are in your composition of having constructive posts. Its about whether your post is valuable or helpful at all. I mean you need to read more on the threads that actually needs attention or what this forum is all about.

We are making it more and more complicated if we question the new system, you should just read the thread that theymos posted, as all the needed information about the Merit System will be there, so you don't have to ask questions like this in the future.

That is the main purpose of merit system to improve the post of all people who are always participating in signature campaign. Many members are complaining about this merit system because they afraid not to get merit due to their way of posting. That is why we in our self need to improve our post quality not only for signature campaign also for the sake of the forum.

This is true I must admit because of the new merit system I need to take sometime improving my post quality and of course continue learning more about cryptos since this forum requires lots of knowledge when giving comments and suggestions in every topic. That is considered as abuse. You should not exchange merits with each other. This can also be seen as a sign as both accounts are operated by one individual and those accounts may get tagged.

I think it doesn't matter if we gives a merit each other provided that the post has good quality post criteria. Because sMerit is made to encourage someone in this forum to create a good quality post. Unless if we giving merit each other to the post which considered spam, and the post does not provide an information be preconcerted those account will get tagged.

Merits are earned. Create posts with extremely good contents, then people might get interested in your insights. This is the significance of the new merit system. This will make people on signature campaigns to give readers excellent piece of writing containing various subjects.

It is better to post while thinking about merits rather than posting like before it was implemented. Even if we focus on getting merits, we are still focusing on what the forum requires us to do which is post a quality post that has good content, informative and will be helpful to the forum members. In terms of earning merits your right there's no easy way, but if you are a good and quality poster you can't possibly gain this without pleasing the other users. Other than that if your post is very fruitful I'm sure many people given you a merits. (Sorry I was not intention to double send the merit)

You are quite easy to get merit. You have to contribute and also make a good post to get points merit. Given the current merit of the forum state to be better and also more controllable. I think this is great for the development of bitcointalk.org and the digital currency as a whole.

Its hard to get some merit specially to people who just came here to make money. This forum is intended for some educational purposes but a good site also to promote some projects. Merit is can be earned through hard works, yeah its hard in the first place but don't mind it let time work for it.

The new merit system is created to increase the number of relevant posts rather than nonsense and repeated questions. In order for us to to earn it, we should have a high quality post. Posts with helpful contents that may help each and everyone of us in this forum. The main purpose is for the readers to find something that are relevant to read rather than toxic posts.

The merit system has been released because spammers and high ranks that have useless post are so numerous. It is implemented to be effective in advertising the projects needed by the campaign. This will be the way to reduce in any kind of spam and scam until this forum be clear, so we have to make a fascinating topic in this forum.

The topic tittle means a lot of things. How to earn merits easily, lol  :o It seems that creator of the topic want to get tutorials on how to rank up easily for which purposes behind merit points he/she wanted. ranking up easily and fastly getting bonused money from signature campaigns, bounties, airdrops, etc. Those sort of users, who simply and only want to get money/ rewards, will never contribute anything to the forum.

To sum up, there is no way to earn merit scores easily in the forum after the launch of merit system some weeks ago.

It's not necessary to always have a good quality . People will even send you merits of they find humour in your posts .
Another way is to post something innovative which people would like. Like there are many topics started by people which showcases ideas on how to reduce spam or topics related to that , which have been merited by many users.

Completely agree with you. Especially for Jr members who need 10 merits to rank up, there are a lot of options. Here is what they can do to earn these:

1) Post genuine replies tp queries being asked in this thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0. You should be the first to answer the query and answer the query in detail. I think I got about 5-8 merit points answering different queries there. I have also seen replies of other members getting  rewarded there frequently.

2) There is a thread offering merit points for creating Infographic, Even if you cannot write good posts, you can make a Infographic and get some merits.

Merit cannot earn easily we need to improved ourselves, we need to improved the quality of post in forum to satisfy the reader so that we can get merit from them,.

I think you had a wrong question on "what is the best way to earn merits"? The real question is, how can you improve your post quality in order to earn merits?
And my suggestion is to read more from this forum. So that your idea will expand and create another idea that will contribute in this forum. And if somebody read that, and get your point then im sure you will get merits.

Merit Point is not easy to have, basis of it is your post quality and it always on topic. Just give your best and quality opinion in all the topic you want to post. And bro, their always many changes in our forum, just wait and hoping for the amendment in Merit Pointing.

I think you need to do more smart work to get merits here now. I have seen a lot of members using creative threads like one with an infographic to grab attention of members. It might take more time to make one than write a post here but it is certainly more appealing. There is also less competition there as very less members are ready to spend so much time creating an infographic related to this forum.

The only best and legit way to earn some merit points to rank up is by only fully participating meaningfully on the thread through quality posts . Every other way which might seem simple and easy at first leads to the destruction of the forum as those other ways are against the forum rules.

I agree with you, there is not any other way to get some merit points except wrote high quality posts or to improve the forums by sharing useful information/ to help others etc. People will surely awards anyone posts any informative post which help anyone to solve some problems related to cryptocurrencies, the only thing to do first is to improve your English, because even if the content of the post is great and the writing is too bad, I don't think you will deserve a single point of merit.

To earn merits we will have to join the campaign through posting a constructive message that they can appreciate so I guest they can give merit to it.

I actually can't find a +merit button, so I assume newbies and Jr.Members cannot give merits, right? That's a bit weird, it kind of diminishes the ablities of read-only users like me.

The best way I can see to earn enough merits and ranked up (without doing any abused in the system, e.g farming merits from alts) is to assure that you are posting a high-quality content. Make your post helpful, logical, and unique as necessary. By doing so, you will be able to earn merits, might not be from the community (because not everyone exerts effort to click that +merit button) but you can submit your post to bill gator or actmyname's thread review and merit rewarding.

If you're join signature because of merit, better to not enroll because merit will come for who do not seek for it instead if you make a genuine post , the merit will come without being expect.
Of course for who's english is not their mother tounge , it will difficult but if you try to make unique and out of the box posting, who knows someone agree with you !

This is not correct. You are not able to see that option as you do not have any sMerit currently. Once you get 2 merit points for some of your posts, you will get 1 sMerit. You will then see that +merit option even if you are newbie.

You mentioned that you are kind of read only member. In that case, you will not be able to get any merit (as you post less). Still I doubt that you read the posts well because if you had really gone through other posts about merit system, you must be aware of the answer to the question you asked (as it has already been answered many times).

By not making a common sense question like that. Be informative and try to read everyday in this forum to learn some techniques or maybe you can search with the use of google. That's my few advice, have a good day.

There is nothing that can be realized easily. If you want to earn merits, you should make efforts and those are based on making high quality posts as well as being active so people can see your posts. Also, you should respect their decisions if they do not give you merit points.

Added to that, you can come up with ideas that can help improve this forum. People support interesting ideas. And I think you should know how to deliver the information even if you do not have a good English.

I guess there is no way to earn merits easily, you should hard work to get merits either by posting good quality. But until now I do not fully understand with term of "good" quality, it will depend on a person who read your posting so it is very subjective. I doubt the google search will help much in this context. This forum is very specific and deep in term of crypto knowledge and discussion. One way I can think of is to help other by answering their questions/doubts or solving their problems. Sharing and spreading crypto knowledge is the key.

As far as i see much easy to earn merit if you open a thread with great idea that can helps many users/member of this forum because some of members posting knowledgeable comment but it was not awarding a merit that is why i think if you open new thread with unique idea i think it will get merit from other members.

To be honest, a quality post can't always be that long, as long as your post has the content that will help, then it should be fine.

I myself have gone through the same process. Also, at first I don't want to get into the sections that I'm not familiar with because I don't really have answers to the topics. But I've realized that, posting or answering topics is not the only thing I could do here. That's the boundary of it, I've restricted myself to the things that I only know. But by reading those topics that I'm not familiar of, I've began learning and educating myself. Eventually, I began to contribute also what I've learned from those people.

That's  true,  even though your topic is very reliable still don't  get merit because of some instances like,  to long to read,  topic is almost the same as others  did,  it doesn't  have a good presentation, and sometimes the content doesn't  meet their expectation or standard.

The problem is people spam threads and they don't care about the quality of their posts, they think that if they posts too much, they have more chance to get some merit points, Or this is wrong. If anyone focus to make a great post, it will be better than shitty 10 posts, In addition, your chance to get merit of the only high quality post bigger than in 10 bad posts.

Correct spamming is not a good way to get merit. But like what i said even you post/comment relevant and useful to other member some members dont send merit for that post most likely they ignore it that is why its very hard to get merit. But even that is happening we do not need to stop helping other people and create more knowledgeable post to give additional information to those member who have lack of knowledge about crypto.

Hello good day fellas, as a newbie here they would say that we need a merit thing for the rank up for now. And as I can see many newbie (including me) suffering of this system. Because lack of merit thing to be achieve of ranking, so many now users are trying there best to earn merit for posing or make a quality post. As they mention also some other users giving free merit by reporting your valuable post in their thread and check if it valuable post to make them merited. Maybe 5% users are merited everyday in this forum. If there is a graph that can monitored the merited everyday?

I do hope campaigns are finally forced to NOT accept Newbie to Member-level accounts.  That would put a swift end to a lot of crapolaposts, since these people will have an extraordinarily difficult time attaining Sr. Member status without resorting to a purchase of an account.  But we'll see how long it takes before the merit system grinds them down.  It's a process, and one I watch with glee.

For instance, in the meta section, most of the threads are of just two types- 1) How merit is good for the forum 2) Complaint about the merit system. You can get creative with these two topics as well like by adding some stats.

To be honest there is no easy way to earn some merits , as of now you need to put a maximum effort on your posts , and have a sense and it can influence. Be more though , don't focus on the things that can't help you out , be more specific and creative.

One can get 5-10 merits easily by being little active and smart. These are some easy ways:

1) Some members are giving merits for creating an art piece (image or infographic ) related to forum rules. There is less competing there in comparison to text posts and thus one can easily get some merit by doing this.

2) One member was giving merit points for spotting other members involved with merit abuse. If you notice such behavior, report it on that thread and you can get some merits.

How many days it took you to gain 10 merits? lets say 'x' days. Then to gain 100 you require 10x days simple LOL

Just improve your post level like an online games because nobody know what is real best, you can found that best on yourself. Only you can do best for your own account to post and earn merits, just be yourself and dream high.

It does not work that way:

1) Initially the member is not aware about the forum rules and is also new here and thus not very much vigilant. I think to get merits one should be  a good observer and it can come with time only. One should keep a close watch on what type of posts are getting merits, which sections are often visited by merit sources and so on.

2) New members are mainly asking questions initially as they have doubts about investing in bitcoins or alt  coins. I have not seen any question being merited. Once you become old here, you start posting answers based on knowledge acquired and start getting merits. So initial 10 merits might be harder to get.

Actually there's a lot of ways to earns and gains high numbers of merits, but you need to make something evil or bad to make it happen. For example exchanging of merits from the other users, buying merits from the other users, connivance regarding giving merit to different users, buying of merits, giving merit by themselves and etc. But don't try to ruin your own by doing this thing, because that's the reason why I have negative trusts now. I advise to many users to stop following my steps, don't even try to used any cheat to earn some merit. Because Karma is too fast, even you don't want it to happen it will be happen.

I simply don't agree with your thinking mate. First of all we already have some people whose been doing such rules to give their sMerits, And the second one is if you did receive some merit from those people it doesn't mean that you're already abusing and abiding the rules.

Its not like what you're thinking as for me I reached my rank of Jr. Member after a month but still after a week I already became a Member and now Im still working on my posts to gain some acknowledgement from the others and currently I received 18Merits and already spent my 5sMerits.

Actually, we could make some posts such as making tutorials but no one give us any thing (I mean merit), I saw many people in mining community, they posted a lot of helpful things, so just look, they havent got any merit.  Of course nothing is perfect, I still think merit system is a nice thing, it encourages people who want to get upper rank make better thing, not just sitting there and posting around.

You should be constructive on your posts. Having a useful post are one of the ways to earn merit. I have some guides to earn merits. If you have a constructive post and it didn't get merit, there are BCT members that are viewing some thread that are useful and they give merits.

Getting merit is not easy as what you think. Don't try to ask for merit because it will be a self-moderated topics, don't buy also a merit because buying merit isn't allowed nor prohibited.

I think you should make those tutorials related to the forum system and then post in meta. If you can give more time and create a thread showing stats related to a particular change like merit system, you can also get some appreciation. You are right, and all users ( especially, those who complain ) should give more effort to get merit point. and the ideas must be improved and the behaviours too, also it is very essential to improve the quality of post , because there are a  shitposters in different sections . As I know earning merit isn't easy, you should put more efforts to your posts to be more  constructive and helpful for the other users. But there are easier ways to earn merit but it is very bad thing to do because you will buy merit from the other users or by exchanging for a merit from the other users too. But, it is not fair for the other users beacuse they put more effort to earn merit and you just earn them in an easiest ways. So be fair for the others too.

Its almost impossible to earn merits for good quality post. The most threads people post just to get to number of post for their boutny campaigns or rank. So if i do a quality post which i always do, nobody see, because nobody cares. They just post without reading what the last people opininion was for this theme. So its nearly impossible to rank up. I really hope they will change some requriements for the meris system.

You should not to beg for merit, should not pay too much attention about whether you will get merit, how long you have to wait since the time you publish your posts till the time you get merit. Only part of your threads will get merits, and merits might come several days after its been published.

I recommend that you dedicate all your efforts to writing a constructive post for the forum. I am really glad that there was 1 person who liked my post and gave me some merit. I had more motivation to write better articles.

merit very serves to reduce accounts that only give post spam because of lots of accounts that only provides junk and post over and over only. with the existence of a user account then merit is required to make a quality post to augment knowledge and useful for others who read.

I think it's easy and complicated at the same time , merits can be given to you by those users who have merits (sendable).
These are sMerits and these should be given under given amount of time or else it will expire.

The other boards are created to have such boundaries to specific topics. The signature and bounty campaigns are introduced only to advertise their campaign, it may be apps, software, gambling websites, porn sites etc. you name it. So they use cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin as means of an investment, that is to advertise. That's why there are signature and bounty campaigns. So that's why theymos mentioned that by removing your signature will likely make you earn Merits.

What I mean is, there are number of Members that usually posts in the Mega threads, that is by the way, high ranked members (which is obviously has more sMerits to give) have no interest in reviewing those threads. Therefore, even if you create a constructive post in some threads like: Bitcoin vs Gold, Can bitcoin solve world poverty?, Can Bitcoin help the economy?, etc. you will not likely to receive Merit(s).

Well there is no easy way to earn merits you need to prove that your'e worth it giving merit or having a merit , lot of new comers on this forum complaining about the new system and lot of people becoming pros and cons. I know, that will sound a broad, but my answer is next:

To earn merit point, you shall do precisely that, what you are good at.

For example, if you know enough about the blockchain design or development, then go to the appropriate board, find a topic, which you can contribute to or add strong points to the discussion, and just do it. And that will likely earn you some merit points.

Are you are strong analyst? There are tons of unanswered questions literally on every board. Just pick something relevant to you expertise domain and find an opportunity to some new valid thoughts.

If you spotted some interesting news article, you can always start a discussion on this topic with a proper references and offer some points to argue.

If you have an interesting idea on any valid subject and you can lay it out nicely, ten go on and start a thread. Just find a suitable board for that topic (yeah, if that would be a new take on a stylish suspenders for dogs, then it shall go to some general discussion boards, yet you still can get a merit for that).

Even if you are not good in writing, you can always be nice to people and put ideas in simple words, which will find support sooner or later.

I can't really say that geting merits is so easily because I don't have merits already. However if you asking how can earn merits easily well it is through posting a good quality post that answers the questions directly. Post that consist of a knowledgeable ideas and opinions you also share your experiences about what members asking for. And posting with a genuine construction is also a good way to earn merits. Those are the best way to earn merit so just be patience at all times wait the for the right time moment to earn merit.

Oh dear, don't say that. It seems that the only thing that most new members are good at is asking about merit. :)

There is no easy way to get merits unless if you are a cheater like others doing. e.g swapping merits, have a high ranked friends or families that will like your post and give you merits or have a mulitple ranked account that were share the merits. Though you posted quality posts it is hard get even 10 merits as mostly are reserved their sMerit  to their personally known member. Though merit system started, low quality posts are everywhere even spammers. I don't think it serves its purpose unless the one will give the merits is the moderators itself.

Yeah, it is extremely hard and become harder to earn merits when higher ranked users changed to become stricter to give their sMerits away.
However, it is possible task for constructive users in the forum.

Never should be a cheater or changed to become a cheater in the forum. Additionally, merit abusements will lead your accounts to higher risks of banning, red tagging. Multiple accounts which related each other and build up a network to abuse merit system will be banned all (for the worst case of punishments). Stay away from serious abusements.
