Hi, I have 600$. What is the best altcoins for long term with possibility increase 5-10x in this year. I thought about Litecoin (litepay), Lisk(near rebranding), EOS or Ethereum. What do you think ?

p.s I want to buy 1 coin.

If you're looking for x5 and x10 coin in a year, i will suggest you for some undervalued coins like dogecoin . Dogecoin is a long-history coin but seems like it never have any big change on the price but in my personal opinion , it will happen in this year and the exact time would be at the October 2018.

I don't think doge would be a x5 or x10 a year.
It's designed to have the constant and unlimited flow and is intended for a tipping meme coin.

If you want a sure shot rise, invest in an ICO of a good project. We have higher competition for the mining coin section.

For long term investment you can invest on the Ethereum and litecoin. Last year projection alone makes the ethereum increases almost 350% percentage growth in the marketplace buddy. In the end of December month, LTC shows 150 USD value bump in the marketplace.

For short term investment:
Invest on Ripple, IOTA, ADA, SIACOIN, ETC and TRX. By checking the price changes and marketcap growth. These coins really made the made the investors happy. Especially ripple value around 40 cents and something but it bumped more than 2.5 USD in the marketplace.

yes i also think following the right ico is a good way, then after benefiting from ico use it to buy ethereum
I chose ethereum because I think it will be very safe to hold for a year and I am sure I will make a big profit

600 usd is a good amount  to start trading, it depends how soon do you want to increase your amount

For short term i would recommend investing in DeepOnion . Its at a good price atm and currently still has Airdrops

Litecoin will get a much higher price when Bitcoin finally begins to move up. The price of Litecoin right now is just the start.

For long time I will suggest you for investing on Waves. It has good project and its technology is too faster than other coins so it has great future so you can buy waves for getting 5x or more profit.

Many opnions generate many decisions - I would take Steem, Vechain and Ethereum. Maybe EOS too. Those 4 have a great potential.

You can take Ethereum, but I do not think there will be x5 this year. I would choose Electroneum (ETN) and Cindicator (CND), I buy now when there is an opportunity and I'll keep it until the end of the year, I think it's interesting projects

You should be thinking for yourself what kind of risk are you looking to take.
If you are okay with taking a high risk, I would go with investing at a low market cap coin, such an investment may involves high risk, but will also give you a very high reward if it turns up to be a good one.
Always remember not to trade on funds that  you can't afford to completely lose them all.

My most important idea is that NEO and Monetha might be x5 this year. You can also examine Stratis and Ripio.

600 $ is a good amount to start with, but what I recommend is that you choose 3-5 coins that had considerable potential , among others, I'd nominate both Eth & waves , these two coins are really promising and can bring good return profits.

If you are looking for a 10x you should invest some coins that their ICO's has just ended.I can suggest SwissBorg's coin i forgot the name of coin but you can do some research

I would take a look at DeepOnion (Onion). Definitely you should invest for long period in ETH. There is no risk in future if you hold it. Price of ETH is now less because it is just a starting and sooner it will be giving competition to BTC so if you see ETH after 1 year your profit will definitely be double.

600$ isn't too much so i suggest you to buy some undervalued coins.  There are a lot of them in yobit, Binance.
For long term: ETH,LTC, Waves. Many people suggest to buy them.

Invest in XEM. It has a big potential and can have strong grown x5-x10 in 2018. Best option to invest for long term.

I think ETH and LTC are likely to go up this year, and since you only want to buy a 1 coin, then I would recommend ETH is the right choice so far. But you should have prepared if this prediction misses because if you are not ready to lose, then you will be frustrated and will probably be a panic selling.

If you want to buy only one coin you should go with Ethereum in your list.
I'd buy Neo with all of my $600 though. It has better profit opportunities.

You'll get different responses from different people. Most of which are going to tell you to invest in one they already have their money in. It may sound overstated, but please do your own research and come to a conclusion based on how much you believe in the project. X5 and x10 that is hard.
Ethereum is all I can think off.
There have been Rise of the Altcoins and a lot is now in ICO.
They will be using Ethereum as a means of payment to buy their coins.
That is all the reason you need to trust it.
It means a lot of demand when suddenly a good ERC20 token comes up.

I agree with most of suggestions for ETH..
But beside ETH,
BTG,ETC,SC,Waves are reliable and undervalued coins.....

To make 5-10x, it's better to invest in some perspective ICO. But the risk of losing all the money, of course there will be more. But if you invest in the Etherium or bitcoin, they seem to me to be definitely unable to do 10x this year.
But I can be wrong.
To make 10x you need to trade constantly with several coins, extracting from each transaction a profit. Gradually increasing your deposit.
And to buy one coin and wait for it to make 10x, it's better to play in the casino  ;D

Xrb,aion,eth,xrp good for long term even you sell it after the price go really high and btc is for long term because the price is sure in the future that can go so really high.I think 600$ are low for investing here but still if you invest it you can earn by every coins like 0.0005 btc in any investing here in coins that you already buy and it's for day trading only what if you do it really for long term that's more high.

It's not a good idea to buy one coin only but if you prefer it that way then I highly recommend Ethereum, this is the next big thing after bitcoin and price is expected to rise further, experts predict this is ethereum banner year.

Buy Ada, TRX and some Deeponions for future. Although, you may find some dirt cheap coins which can make it good but finding them is impossible.

actually in my mind if you have money with that amount it is choosing a coin with a price that is still cheap-cheap so to experience increase can still be high like ripple, stellar, nxt, ignis, but if fixated on choice 3 you mentioned I choose Etherium

Do not buy 1 coin with your all money because it is a amateur investing type. You can do a good portfolio for your money but if you buy just 1 coin and that coin drops you will lose all of your money. In portfolio, you have another coins and they can cover your investing easily.

First of all, I will suggest not to invest everything in one coin. It does not matter if it is 600 $ or 6k$. The best thing to do is to diversify. That way, even if one of the coins does not reached the potential that you have expected, the others will compensate.
Second, I will strongly suggest you, to make a research. Ok, here you will receive opinions about one coin or other, but in the end, the decision is yours and the best way to make a decision is when you are aware with the information regarding the coin.
My way to evaluate ICO/coin is when I look the white paper and evaluate the idea. Also, I check the team that stand behind the project. Do they have the needed expertise.
My third advice to you is, buy when current ICO is put for first time on a small exchange. The tokens are cheaper :)

EOS is good and it has been doing pretty well lately. If I were you though, the first few on my list right now would be NEO, ETH, DGB and ZEC. Like I said, the first few but these ones should be doing pretty good for profit in a short while from the look of things. Oh! I forgot to add ETC. Nevertheless, these are based on my own trading decisions, so you may want to do some little research on your own and not just follow everything everyone tells you.

If you want to invest $600 - buy each of these altcoins for $100 - Stellar (XLM), Cardano (ADA), NEM (XEM), Ethereum Classic (ETC), EOS and some VeChain (VEN).
Just forget about them until the summer and you'll see X5 8)

ethereum is good for long term but I don't think if it will give you x5 profit but maybe x2 or x3 is possible. I think you should invest an altcoins that under $1 chances are to reach x5 profit for long term or invest in ICO's possible to earn x10 profit.

advice that goes without saying is DYOR, but this man's humble opinion is that EOS is going to be revolutionary and could potentially dethrone ethereum.  Litecoin is solid and you won't take a loss, but you might not get the types of returns you could with EOS.  To take it a step further, if you start looking into EOS and like what you see, check out BitShares (BTS) - coins developed by the same creator Dan Larimer.  He implements a delegated proof of stake concept which is cheaper and faster than a POW blockchain, and I truly believe 2018 will be the year of decentralized exchanges/blockchains.

From your list, I will choose Eth for long term holding.

I think that 5-10x times can grow only ripple. Becouse Bitcoin, ETH and other will not grow so much.

I was thinking invest on altcoins but now i see ICOs potential. 5x - 10x is achieving about just a few weeks.
For example look at Zilliqa, TRX, Sirinlabs. Don't need to wait for a long time with ICOs.

Depends if you want to invest in long term or short term. Most of the coins are made for investors to be happy, but you need to check for price changes and growth on the market. For long term you can invest in Ethereum or Litecoin, and for short time goals, mostly Ripple, OPT, TRX, DeepOnion. You should avoid cryptocurrencies that have already done extreme amounts of ROI if you're looking for the next 5-10x coin.  Do some research on ICO projects and invest your $600 there.  Investing $600 in an already established project won't give you high returns in the short term.

In my view it is not important only the quality, but the quantity as well. What I mean is that it is not important wheter you are gonna invest 600 $ or more. It is important to invest them smart. To evaluate the potential of your investment and to make a smart decision and to decide based on research not on someone else's opinion.

I too suggest the same, because right now more and more ico projects with good growth potential has been getting into existence. Also the worth ico can be easily predicted without much complications from the way it is been promoted from the beginning of the project.

I’m telling my friends that just want to set it and forget it to buy iota. In 2025 it could be the backbone of IOT yielding unimaginable rewards. Worse thing that could happen is that you go 10x in one year (or whenever they get it to work a little better).

Hey Natty, you've been around a lot longer than I have, I used to be a believer in iota until I started trying to transfer them around and found it cumbersome with all the required workarounds. Fully expect them to simplify the entire process in the long run, but are they that much further ahead over other IoT projects?

I would advise you not to invest in 1 coin. Going all in is not a good idea, you could lose a lot of money. If you want to invest on altcoins and holding it for a long term then you should invest on ethereum coins. Eth coins was basically 300 dollars before and no one thought that it will increase up to 1k dollar today so probably it will increase even further after 5 years since bitcoins will be all mined as well.

Ethereum will be your best choice for long term holding. how do you choose a coin or an ico? you go by the people on the project the whitepaper, you go for the benefits that the token can give, the transparency of the project you listen to what other people say? i tried to do all those things but im still new to this so i think i still have the sheep mentality

$600 is a good amount. This is not legal financial advice, just my opinion. But I would invest in XRP (good upside in the future), SC (siacoin), deeponion. Stellar is also good.

If I have $600 I will invest in XEM, but I think it is better to divide your money and invest in some coins.

Litecoin, Ethereum, Lisk, EOS are good, but they are unlikely to go another 5x-10x considering their current market cap. They are already a huge coin. If you want huge returns, you must find smaller coins with a market cap below $500m. I'm currently holding WABI for this exact reason. I believe they could go 5x - 10x this year. Its current market cap is below $100m, it has active development, and solid plans ahead.

I would diversify, do not put all your money into one coin. 600 bucks is a good starting point, imo I would invest in DeepOnion, this is a promising coin and on a very good discount atm.
