Title: Don't panic!
Post by: Cnut237 on February 02, 2018, 09:27:24 AM
For anyone who is panicking at the market-wide price drops, please don't! There is no reason to panic. Look long-term, don't look at price charts over the last week or month, look at them over the last year and see the pattern of rises followed by pullbacks... but the course is always upwards.

If you're new and bought in during December and now see huge losses... the worst thing you can do is sell now. Prices will increase in the long term. The current dip is just a correction to the wild excesses of last month. Don't panic!
If the prices you can see now are lower than the prices that you bought in at, then the best thing you can do is buy more. Why? This will lower your average entry price.
If you bought bitcoin at $16000 and see it now at $8000, the course of action is clear: buy the same amount at $8000, and your average entry point is no longer $16000, it's (16000+8000)/2=$12000.

Don't sell, buy!

Glad I can help! I'm posting just to try to stop newcomers from making rash decisions. I know the panic myself from when the market dipped just after I entered. I don't have a huge amount of experience, but I'll pass on what I can. This is absolutely the time to clear your emotions out of the way and make calm, considered decisions.

Remember if you believe in crypto, then any chance to lower your average entry price is a great opportunity.

But in the past, the price of bitcoins in South Korea and Japan has always been much higher than in other countries.
But this time South Korea and Japan have taken the lead to fall, and I think maybe this is a sign of a bear market.

I also think that you should not panic, because in the near future everything will be fine, you should not panic, but if you are too emotional, then it's better just move away from the monitor and enjoy your life. Everything will be fine.

I think it's a general correction triggered partly because December rose too high and had to pullback some, and partly because of a swathe of negative news stories in the last month or so. The latest dip is probably also affected by automatic filling of a load of sell orders as we drop past price milestones, such as $10k for bitcoin.
And all through this, some of the people who only got in recently will quite naturally start to panic and want to cut their losses. This I think is now the main driver of the fall, plus experienced traders trying to exploit this by shorting their coins.

Believe in crypto. Don't panic. Lower your average entry point if you can. Look to the future, we will see green again!

Yep, don't panic and be patient.
Every year there will be ups and downs, just wait till the price explode again.
of course you will feel at loss right now, but it's okay, everything will be alright, just hold all of your altcoins.

:D Nice suggestion, but only if someone have money spawner :) Maybe Tether will use it, I dont know. We all should understand, if people are in panic - they will not buy. Only sell. Just let them sell so illuminati will buy and then we will see new highs. Nothing to worry about - bought? Close the exchange window and go outside, do your hobby, be with your family

Don't panic it's organic. More FUD are coming right now because those whales out there manipulating the market they want to short it as soon as possible because there are big players that will come to crypto. So better buy some now because soon it will rise.

hey man, do not be so scared. Think that's just rumors. Be calm and continue on your investment path. If the news is real, only a small fraction of the affected people in Korea and Japan. In our country, the government still bans people from using bitcoin but my friends and I still use it everyday.
We make money in silence and people in other countries are strong. So the money market is good and everything still work.

In that case I would say:
1) have one look at the price charts over the last year or all time to get some perspective (not just this day or month)
2) close the price chart window and don't check it again. come back in maybe a month.
3) if you believe in crypto, then don't sell!

I'm just trying to stop people from making bad decisions. If you sell now then you have a guaranteed loss. If you hold and try to forget about it and come back in a few weeks or a month, you will see higher prices again.

I agree. However, I think that it's not easy to convince people and make them feel calm about what's happening. Many people, who are rather new or have not seen Bitcoin plummet in value this low from where it was, would react normally by being panicky and afraid that their investments might amount to a loss. However, the best way to do at this point, like the above-stated reply said, is to be patient and check how Bitcoin ran before, if you would see, there are these rough patches where Bitcoin doesn't gain value, or worse, lose value, for months at a time. After that, it would again assert itself and have a surge in value. So, the better move is to just wait for that perfect moment.

i also think that nobody should sell anything, because up and downs are just normal and yes usually it's not a bad decision to buy low, if you have some money left. but somehow i can unterstand the people, which buy btc for such a high price like 18k per coin or more, that they prefer at the moment selling their coins instead of spending more money into the market, because some of them have put all their money inside allready :-)

i mean, as i can see on your rank, you are in cryptos since a while, so it's easy to say don't sell because you probably have not made any losses yet. but for people, whitch lost 50 per cent or more of their money over the last 2 weeks, it's a hard decision, especially to put more money inside the market :-)

If you look at BTC previous yearly charts, you can see the market has always been bearish in the first months, after that the market has always been going up, the best option is to hodl and accumulate more BTC while at discount.

The price of btc should not have been higher than about $8000 at this point in time.

If you look at the trading charts on a day scale, and draw a line through the higher highs up (with the last higher high on you line being around 21 Oct 2017) btc was rising steadily with this dynamic support and resistance line up until around the 25th of Nov.  After 25th of Nov 2017 the charts show a typical pump and dump pattern.  The price got pumped to $19000 + and now we are nearing the bottom of the dump.

For sustainable growth, following this dynamic support and resistance line, Btc should reach the $12000 around mid june 2018, however there will probably be some more pumps before that causing it to reach $12000 earlier, but it will only crash once more if it pumps rather than rise steadily.

We do not want these pumps, we would prefer patience and for btc to rise more steadily, hence we do not want btc to rise to more than $12000 before mid june 2018.

right now we should be happy that btc has come back to the price it should actually be at on today's date, around $8000.  It might drop slightly lower as it breaks the $8000 support, but not much lower.

It is unfortunate for the people who got involved in btc since nov 25th, as they got caught up in it during it's pump stage and are now experiencing it's dump.  Do not worry, your money is safe,  just be patient and hope for a slower steady growth rather than than another pump, and you will have your money back within the year.

Of course this is just my analysis and opinion, but it seems to be what the charts are telling me.

when it comes to altcoins, sometimes it IS a good idea to panic. not panicking means losing a lot of money because when the dumps start they won't just stop simply. they will go on for a while.
and also not to forget how others are panicking. you can't ignore where the altcion market is headed and not all the altcoins are going to recover after the large scale dump ended.

Don't sell, buy!

I would like to thank you for this post and thread because people are much feared and dipressed with this fall. And I also agree with you , do not panic now and hold your all bitcoins and altcoin even anybody want to invest now , its a good chance to buy bitcoin as this cheap level. And as this fall stops bitcoin will rise till 10000$ level again in just 20-25 days. Now a days much FUD and fake news came so this fall happen. So hold all your coins. And I think after reading this thread and post some people get some reliefe from fear.

Shit this forum become ridiculous.

What kind of advice is that?

What about those people who invested hundred thousand dollars in bitcoin when it was $16K and lost half of their money already, you are suggesting them to buy for $8K because some silly math calculation (16+8)/2= 12?

Look at my calculation:

$100K invested when bitcoin was 18K = $50K loss.
Another 100K at this price = $200K invested while you are still 50K at lost. ;)

And it takes an uncertain time to pull your capital back, it could take a month or a year. of course all do not like the word "Loss" though sometimes we can not fight the flow. ;D
But do not be afraid too, because we can still maintain our coin until the price back up."do not panic" This is the difference Bitcoin trading with other trading.

For what it's worth, I think you're right.

The sudden moon to ~$12k was really crazy and everyone got hyped. But of course, those who could not sell in time are now experiencing the dump.

Now clearly a good time to buy. But was it worth keeping the assets to such a loss-making level? Some altcoins have sunk over 90% of their highest points. Guarantees that all prices go back just does not exist.

We can’t stop them not be panic on this price as they don’t give some time to learn how to react in this decreases and it is because they’re inexperienced.. They invest not knowing the risk or ignored it and without thinking put all they’re money on bitcoin when the price is above 14000$ and above.. If this won’t be a learning experience for them in the next dip then we can’t do anything about that..

I understand your eagerness to warn those people who are buying this price drop and also with the massive dumps that are we are with right now.

But even how good you are on reminding them that there is no reason to panic they will not listen to us. What's only to their mind is to cut their losses or it will be the end of crypto's. They are new to this so that makes them a panic seller.

Don't sell, buy!
Only long term holders, traders who experienced the massive dips before will understand these words.

Finally someone speaking some reason. There is absolutely no point in selling now as only because of some fud being spread. There is golden rule to be remembered, you don't lose unless you sell. When you sell you are really in loss. If you hold the coins or tokens you still have chance that your assets will grow in value and you can have decent profit. It was growing for so long that the feel had to happen. No need to worry, now it's time to buy, not to sell!

This time I already feel the pressure of continuous drop of bitcoin. The facebook ban on advertising and the threat of some government to regulate the crypto really hurt the market. If this will continue price level of BTC will possible to drop at 4k level at the end of February. And the most reasonable thing to me right now is to cut loss or average down by buying the BTC at low price.

If you believe that there is a future for this market then buy more so that you can average down. Many people are panic selling because you are already at a loss but if you buy more then that would lower your average buying price so when the price reverse and have a bull run again then you will have bigger profits. If you plan to sell now then you either buy lower if it goes more lower or just totally leave the crypto market if you can't take it anymore. If your plan is to stay in crypto for the long term and you don't have any funds anymore then just take a break for a while and don't check the charts for maybe a week or a month.

I don't have a huge amount of experience, but I'll pass on what I can. This is absolutely the time to clear your emotions out of the way and make calm, considered decisions.

Remember if you believe in crypto, then any chance to lower your average entry price is a great opportunity.

That's right ,, I always see the market price every day and indeed the current decline that can be said is very big, but previously there has been an increase. so I'm not going to panic because I'm sure the price will go up over time.

You got it dude yes your right, there's nothing to worry right now besides those who are planning to invest in all crypto currency, well, start it up to make it full your portfolio with crypto currencies that having a potential in holding in long term surely you have a huge profit after a month or a year. If you looking back the chart price last few years it is folded times four this year so nothing to worry just hold and have patience. Wait the right moment until it is bouncing back again in the market and don't be panic.

But in the past, the price of bitcoins in South Korea and Japan has always been much higher than in other countries.
But this time South Korea and Japan have taken the lead to fall, and I think maybe this is a sign of a bear market.
I think we should think long term. After this correction things will go back to normal and the trending will be upward again. There is even an informal survey on what to do with their bitcoin now and majority vote for HODL.

If you have alot money invest in coin when the price was high its not strange that you on your panic mode because get a big loss. The things that author said was right to reduce the loss we should buy more of the coin now when the blood bath happening and sell it when it back to normal to return our capital. But a lot of investor feel the btc will loss many of it value. So better to hold until the price better on the market. The thing that more scary wass when we buy more and it dip more.

This decrease in value is actually doing a lot of good to the market , and we'll see that impact soon enough . FUD vibes are getting to a lot of people , and getting fought by a lot of innovative concepts , partnerships and advertisement to the crytpocurrencies industry .
Meanwhile a lot of solutions to fight network congestion are being thought of and people are working day and night in the quest of innovation and in order to provide the best concepts to the best investors .
Buying coins at such a low price is an opportunity that rarely presents itself,  and we are now having another shot at the bitcoin dream , where anyone even with a small budget can acquire multiple coins from the desired crypto with a very accessible price , and just wait to collect the profits by few months from now .

Buying the lower price btc than previous buy is called averaging. You will get the average price if the same amount was bought of bitcoin. Bitcoin will still exist in the long time so thats a better idea for now that price is low so if the bitcoin recover to the half you start to gain that time.

I also think that you should not panic, because in the near future everything will be fine, you should not panic, but if you are too emotional, then it's better just move away from the monitor and enjoy your life. Everything will be fine.
Yeah, you're right man ... Don't need to panic and rush, better switch out the monitor for a while because if you are too emotional due to look at all the prices that fall down, you will make a decision that you may regret later. Calm down and refresh your mind from trading for a moment, come back when the emotion has not  control your mind, nothing to be worried because it happens so many times, just takes patience, the price will recovery back slowly,

Keep calm and dont panic

I'm no expert on prices, I really don't know other than the general trend is upwards. I expect bitcoin and good alts will prosper, and I expect we will continue the move towards mainstream adoption, with all the regulation and legislative headaches (and seas of red) that brings. I expect a general move upwards in the future, more green than red, but plenty of both :) As to when we might pass the ALT of last month, who knows? But I think it's a 'when', not an 'if'.

This is all the move that you could take instead of selling and then leaving. After that, when you are just seeing news about the how large the price of bitcoin is regret.
Hold and get more. Then maybe we could all get our ROI and more.
Instead of crying in a corner then just make a move on how to get it back.
I strongly suggest also to what the OP's solution is.

I absolutely agree with your ideas! Panic is never good for the market and image of crypto itself as well. We should stand strong and wait until market stands back with no panic at all. Personally I buy some alts as well because I consider it as a very good entry point of a long-term investment.

It's good to see these type of reminders, even though it should be pretty obvious. I do think the folks that panic may have invested much more than they can afford to lose. So if we want people to remain calm, it's simply investing what you can afford to lose and actually believing in the project you're invested in.

Why I don't panic? Because I believe in the bright future of blockchain and cryptocurrencies, since it is not encrypted by luck or karma, but by science, by mathematical algorithms that cannot be hacked or broken. I believe, that people will realize how it works and how revolutionary and beneficial it is, and how it changes their lives making it faster and easier.  ;)

This is what makes me not to panic!  8)

It is the famous herd effect, the more the market falls, the more people panic and the more sales occur and the more the market falls. It is a downward cycle that forms and that will only be reversed when the big investors (whales) decide to return to the point of purchase.

I personally agree that your advice is quite right. One of the things that makes people to panic is lack of understanding about the true nature of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Remember that every valuable currency will rise and fall because of the various activities of the users. There is always a demand and supply parameter that causes movement of the currency. Please don't always panic whenever you see such movements, it is normal. Yours is to react to it accordingly; that's you buy when it falls and sell when it soars. You should prepare to make profits when you see such trends unless you want to hold long. Even the US dollars does the same.

I see bitcoin graphs in the previous year's year, at the beginning of the year bitcoin always decreased drastically, but in the middle of the year and until the end of the year bitcoin always jumped, that's just my prediction about bitcoin, for this year hopefully like the previous year

Your formula is quiet interesting, but for buying now needs to invest more money, and on 2nd thought one may think that the money he is investing now may end up like his previous investment, so investing more may not work out for him.

This  is exactly my point. In this trade as i've observed in the cryptocurrency market, changes are very abrupt and in some cases big. If you're going to check the trend of the price of BTC itself over the year it shows significant drop at the same time significant rise. What's happening right now is actually an opportunity to buy coins for long term holding.

I would add too that it is good to avoid news in rough periods. For me the best strategy for long term is just buy and hodl. Listening to all the FUD is just too stressful.

Yes, you have absolutely correctly calculated from the point of view of mathematics and financial management. If the project is not scam, then when all coins fall, you need to buy even more, in order to reduce the average purchase price. But just now the market is all in the red zone and there is nothing to sell, only it is necessary to transfer real dollars to the stock exchange.

No need panic for two reasons. First of all this have no any sense and it cannot return your investment. Normal investor need be strong and happy even if you see -50% - 70% of your investments, I think this is something as gambling or Ponzi scheme. So no need worry at all. I think if we all are here we need trust in crypto because we make history today and we need make good image of crypto because trust in this world is one of necessary thing.

Let some people panic for the drop price of BTC and other coins, let them sell what's on their wallet, it is also an opportunity for some calm buyers to gain or to hold some BTC point in their hand. We are calm, since price may drop but advertising and marketing is still obvious going, may we see better opportunities to strike in!

It's like investing in technology and we must think long term goal. Some people you know! they are panicking just because of fud news. but we need to work for ourself our emotion, We should be holding more coins just like taking care or valuing a precious gold.

We don't have the same mind or perspective but we should be iron balls here. Don't do day trading but instead hold your coins and make more bitcoin. HOLD is very powerful in Cryptos always remember that.

Good one. A panic spree will not help in any way. Many of us see those reds as a bloody warfare where everything is in chaos! This only means that these people are those who engaged into trading without full knowledge of the possibilities. They were not prepared! And when things like this happens, they go on whining, frowning, and drowning themselves in their own mistakes. They should come to their senses and understand that a dip is a necessary part of the trading system. Nothing continuously goes on an uptrend without dropping a bit. This is normal and is nothing to be worried about.

Even if people listen to the wise advice of experienced investors and trailers and will be able to resist panic and not sell their coins. still there are enough people, now who sell everything for nothing, and then buy again, but more expensive several times ...

I tried to keep silence during this crash period,  but can't do it anymore. Which news do create this panic selling?
I have very stable alts and I make changes very rare cause I don't like jumping from projects until they create something valuable. I understand that this crash is temporary and after it we will have very high growth. But I really don't understand the reasons behind such fall????

You are indeed right these people who bought bitcoin from december will definitely doing panic selling, but i couldnt disagree they should be buying more because the price of bitcoin is too cheap to its usual price.Maybe most of the people are scared but some like me is very happy with the situation because we will make money in just few months, always buy at the dip and sell it on the peaks.

Exactly I do, because I believe this huge dip it won't get any longer but it also take times for crypto to recover totally. Is just a way of patiently waiting, I know my self I'll be worthy of waiting. Yes exactly a good idea to take advantage of buying coins for it is absolutely cheap right now and some people are keep on selling their coin.

This is one of the way on changing your average entry price but would really be hard to convinced yourself on investing even more because of the panic that price dips do gave into you. If you are trading on swings then this would be applicable but you should really be a risk taker since price movements wont really be a guarantee that it would goes on what you did expect.

No panic I agree but there are surely many alts that won't ever recover for this big dip. There were lots oh alts who were heavily pumped without a good reason. Those are the ones that took the hardest hits and I guess it's game over for most of them.

There is no assurance in investment. In order to have a bigger chance of success, you must put your trust  in it. But if you are feeling anxious due to the dropping of values and still wanted to buy more coins, invest only portion of your money that you can afford to lose. And the best thing to do is not to panic sell.

What if the panic is justified and people are trying to squeeze out of the door? You thought banks would roll over and let them be surpassed by amateurs? Especially ICOs are at risk, because do you know how hard and  expensive going public is for a stock market company is? That's because there is a lot of paperwork and money to grease the wheels involved. No way the banks, regulators and stock exchanges are going to let ICOs indefinitely cut that red tape and bypass rules and 'grease'.

It's easy to advice not panic if your risk is zero , or just in your acceptable range . But if you loosing a lot , that's another sad story . Of course you will be afraid loosing your money , but just keep your head clear . Think , analyze what can you do in this situation . If you have any insider information - use it for trading , if not - damn , you always can fix your losses , as well as hodl till the end . But , in my opinion selling now is exactly what the "whales' whant , so you'd better be patient , I hope market will stabilize soon

Panic is called panic exactly because you cannot control, and it is proportional to what you are at risk of losing compared to what you can afford to lose. This being said, you have to avoid to put yourself in the conditions where you would have no choice but panic.

Yeah, people need to chill (but they can't as they went all-in, plus they sold their house, wife and kidney to buy Bitconnect), market can't rise all the time, corrections are healthy and we should see a nice rise over upcoming months. Just think about it for a second: why should whales dump it at the moment, when we are not recognised in a global scale and there really is a reason to rise as most of the implementations of great new companies aren't even done yet? I'd be a fool when this will crash (really don't think so), but at least I have made some extra money, so I'm okay with that.

HODL as new heights are just ahead of us!

I totally agree!! Anyone who is panic selling at the moment will sure regret their actions in the next few coming weeks. I really can’t understand why this is not clear to everyone. Since the whole market is dropping it mean that this has nothing to do with any individual position; and once the correction is over, we will see gains again.

Actually, there's a reason why they can panic. So we can not blame them completely. But there are also a variety of annoying beginners who want to get a lot of profit in the near future with Bitcoin. It is not impossible if you have much capital. But you must be patient if you invest into crypto. Because if there is a price decline like this, we must be patient to wait until the price rises. If it has not gone up, we can not get profit. People need to chill (but they can't as they went all-in, plus they sold their house, wife and kidney to buy Bitconnect), market can't rise all the time, corrections are healthy and we should see a nice rise over upcoming months.

we know bitcoin have a high price and hard to buy it, and now the price is down many people see the positive thing on this crash, maybe some people thing this is end of bitcoin to.

but for investment who have experience in bitcoin they see the reverse of this crash, like in this thread say BUY, don't SELL. it is a thought that may be possessed for people who still believe in bitcoin because of their experience. panic is the worst thing, thing they money can loss. maybe we should change our speculation about bitcoin.

This is a very interesting post and show how vast you are in the use economic terms.  Demand and supply functions are very much important economic tools in creating maximum impact on the movement of cryptocurrencies. Thank you and keep up your writing good comments.

It's ok to panic because panic will put some cryptocurrency traders and investors advantage. I mean, have we don't earn much money without them, right?
I'm feeling Thankful for the weak hands because for me I deserve their hard earned money and that's being the tool for tendering their money into the patient investors and optimistic Hodlers.

Of course, without panic, appreciate the fact that the cryptocurrency is so falling because in this it is good, you can earn very well on the fall! Once everything becomes stable, it will be interesting only for housewives! :D

Yes that's exactly right, panicking will make the matter worst in fact while the coins are down we should "HODL" or better yet invest for more because once becomes stable we will benefit from it. In this world of cryptocurrency, we should be patience and dont be greedy as well and make do a research about this coin or token and their developmental platform

That is very common for the people to get panic when the value of their bought coin is decreasing and they are losing money and specailly when he has invested a lot of their assets in some places. In such situation one think as to atleast some of his investment and therefore he start selling, Which end all his hopes, i think in current situation as the price is already now decreasing therefore we should to try to hold our investment and not sell it because we are still too much confident about bitcoin price that it will get recover very soon.

I agree with this, instead of selling all our bitcoins in a low price that can lead us of losing a lot of money, why don't we use this dumping price of bitcoin as an opportunity to buy more of it while its still has a cheaper price. So we can gain a lot of profit when the price comes back to its highest price in the near future.

People really tend to panic when they see that they are losing profit and I think its just normal, but in the ,crypto world especially when you know that you are holding a great coin, a coin that has lots of potential and that it is gonna be big, I would say that panicking is not an option, and we should continue to hold and let it make us the profit that we want. So panicking is not gonna do us any good.

Only weak hands will sell their coins when they see it going down. I do it too in the past i sell my bitcoin because i did not know if my investment will turn up to -50% or to zero. Then after doing that the price goes back again and recover a little. I think i might disregard this panic things because it only will lead to my losses. Now, I just continue holding and don't care of the downtrend of the price.

I am not panicking but as we know that the markets are still going to go down further, we have decided with my Wife to sell off a small portion of our portfolio to get some health issues done and basic house repairs, like a leaking roof fixed and not delay our lives any longer. If the market turns then we still got 90% of our portfolio in tact to rise and make some profit from. In any case whatever we have is a bonus as we earned all our coins through working hard on the internet. Of course if we had sold at ATH few weeks ago we could have probably semi retired with that money but never mind we make mistakes and we learn but I am not panic selling but strategically planning and making use finally of some of the income sitting there, not just for survival, but at least to make our lives a little ibt more comfortable in the mean time and if one day our coins left we hold moon, then we might even take a nice family vacation.  ;D

Of course, you will be afraid losing your money, but just keep your head clear This is one of the ways of changing your average entry price but would really be hard to convince yourself on investing even more because of the panic that price dips do give into you. If you are trading on swings then this would be applicable but you should really be a risk taker since price movements won't really be a guarantee that it would go on what you did expect.

In the world of crypto currency, the worst thing which you do to yourself is to get panic especially at the time when the market value is falling down. Getting panic actually makes you suffer in a way that you lose control over your emotions and you make decision on which you later on regret in your life. It is better not to do such kind of thing especially when your money is at the stake.

I agreed, please don’t panic sell. Panic selling is not helping for the market of cryptocurrencies and it can have a low value in marketing. For me, it is time buy more altcoins or bitcoin to have a greater profits in the future and it will have a good value in the future. Panic selling is not helping the marketing of cryptocurrency and also you. You will have a negative profits if you sell your coins in a low value and you can lose money if you sell your coin. The better decision is to buy more altcoins or bitcoin and hold it until the prices will increases again.

At today's market the persons or community finally into crypto has slowly increased. But these persons have became investors yet so unknowledgeable. These weak hands or participating in panic selling are investors which has insufficient learnings about the cryptocurrency. We should always remember at all times that when you invest, you should study, research or make some investigation about where will you put your money in. At this case, when you are in the cryptocurrency, price fluctations are very normal. No market has always become on the point of increasing without any even slight or small decrease in the market.
The knowledegable persons and experts should lend sometimes a hand for those who are unequipped to also produce better investors rather than weak hands.

If you were entering with the target of 30,000 dollars for 1 bitcoin with the investment horizon of 1 year. Then what's the point of panicking?

This is good advice.
Don't panic or you can lose a lot of money if you panic sell.
Holding long-term is the way to go. The prices of most top coins will be rising soon and the market will be back on its feet.
This happens from time to time in the crypto-market.

It's hard, but what a choice you have, sell everything now at such low prices, or overcome yourself and in time you will make a profit when bitcoin and altcoyines will again begin to grow in value.

Don't sell, buy!

it makes sense also your statement, but many also play here for short-term investments because expect a fast money velocity I am sure that this kind of panic when the view of the price is going down.

Today don't panic is the right thing to do because of huge dropping in the market, I think there's a also big opportunity to us when the value rise again in so much high. So don't easily scared that make you decide to sell your coins just hold it until it increase again don't easily manipulate by some people to sell your coin to them.

This ultimate corrections is really unpredictable and risky so i sold it at a high price then will buy it cheap soon because the problem right now is when you buy the dip but it dips more so for the others they extended their patience, hold and will continue to absorb 60% dump losses even its hurt but for me it is not panic but it is a trading strategy to Sell high and buy low.

Good advice, in a panic investment should be avoided because it can make yourself a loss. Do not just look at the market price down and you immediately sell the coins at a cheap price. It should be like this we can see the opportunity, that is by buying as much coins as possible and hold it in the wallet so it can be sold when the price is high.

Yes it is a common process in the crypto market. But this time it is not. You should read more news and analyze them. Currently China is beginning to take measures to prevent bitcoin in order to avoid the danger it causes.
Bitcoin is not only used in transactions and business, bitcoin is also used in illegal organizations. That makes some countries afraid and they have to stop the bitcoin. So this is not a really good time to invest. We should wait and do nothing.

When the price change is not what we expected it to be. that's why using all the money to buy once is a risky thing. then a good allocation of funds is important so when the price goes down you still have other funds to cover the losses that might be incurred. or you can buy again when the price goes down. which is important today do not panic. do not cutlose. continue to hold whatever happens. I'm sure the price will be bounce soon!

There is no way, you must learn to endure this kind of thing. Tomorrow will be better, and personally, I think the bitcoin price is now very close to the bottom, and I bought 500,000 SC yesterday.

It's so hard to be patient and don't panic. Especially when you bought around 16000. C'mon BTC. I can understand bad news but why now we see dump? And predictions are around 3900-4490... I'm shocked.

If you were entering with the target of 30,000 dollars for 1 bitcoin with the investment horizon of 1 year. Then what's the point of panicking?

that's why still hodl all my coins and tokens. Because I tell to myself that I'm not gonna watch my account till nex December :)) Hope, next December price will be more than 16k  ;D

That's what patience needs to have. A whole year just wait. It's so simple and so difficult at the same time. For me, waiting is sometimes harder than acting.

Yeah, good advice. I think criptocurrency is at the bottom of correction  at present. It is perfect time to buy and hold for profit

Don't panic because it is normal when the market price drops, there always be ups and downs, be patient. Just wait until the price explode again, but if you think this is the time, the best time to buy coins because the price drops, hold it in long term, then when the price goes up, it gave you more profit..
Are you sure that when the price fell 3 times, then it will also suddenly rise to current values or higher?

I agree to that, most of the pioneers like me does not even bother on the prices in the market right now because we already know that the market will still go back to normal after a few months, the good thing to do right now is to invest while the value of the coins is still very low in order to earn a lot of profit when the market goes back to normal.

Cryptos will skyrocket soon:

>200tn USD is parked in asset classes which are massively overvalued and are about the implode (stocks, bonds etc).
<0.4tn USD is invested in cryptos, of which some are massively undervalued due to yet to be widely acknowledged world changing potential.

Large money flows will move into the crypto space soon. Limited coin supply results in skyrocketing coin prices.

Look into DeepOnion (ONION) and Nuls (NULS).

Those traders who are only losing profit in this times are newbies, there is no reason to panic and do not think of downtime in the market as a bad days because we can invest further since the value is low. Now, if you worried that the price of your coins is decreasing then hold still for you not to lose your profit.

Definitely. But I further suggest cost averaging. Buy in chunks rather than in bulk. You don't know it the current price have hit rock bottom. Chunk your investments into 6 parts and buy every two weeks or any good interval. Say you buy now one part at 8K, then next week the price dropped at 6 k, then you buy another part and so on. By this you further take advantage of lowering your average by riding through the dips and rise of the volatile cryptocurrency market.

This is a great advice. Actually, this is a very basic stuff here in crypto. There are so many very important rules here if we want to gain instead of lose. One of which is that do not sell with a loss. Selling with a loss will only cement your loss and you will never be able to take back what you have lost. They are gone for good. Whereas, if you hodl when your coins are losing, that means when the price of your coins will bounce back you will start to earn profit. The sellers will badly miss that.

Just invest wisely in the world of cryptocurrency. All of can't afford to lose some investment but we need to be patience at all time when it comes to investing. I think the best idea is to buy more bitcoin or altcoins when the bitcoin or altcoins are in low price. This the best time to buy more of this because you will have a great value if you buy more of them.

If you bought bitcoin at $16000 and see it now at $8000, the course of action is clear: buy the same amount at $8000, and your average entry point is no longer $16000, it's (16000+8000)/2=$12000.

Don't sell, buy!

Yes I have seen the history of bitcoin prices, indeed the price cycle that goes down often occurs in the previous year. I agree with you that now is not the time to panic and sell the coins we have. Currently, my assets have fallen by about 50% and I still hold them firmly, because I'm sure the next few months crypto prices will recover.
With this kind of challenge that we are facing right now, we become more proactive learners and risk aversion.  Just be patience, keep calm and carry on!

The reason of this down of bitcoin and all other coins are due to taxation since they are debating about the bitcoin to have tax. It is also normal for the graph, you can show more of the history. We dont need to panic about the price because its only normal in the world of crypto,.

We had previously recommended buying Bitcoin in the range of $5,500 to $5,800 on panic selling. It came close to our buy level, but did not reach there. It bottomed out on February 6 at $6,075.04.We believe that the cryptocurrency will turn down from one of the above-mentioned levels. If the retest of the lows is successful,we may add long positions for the long-term.
If the lows break,we’ll have to wait for a few more days.So just keep calm and patient because we can get all back at the right time.
Dont be panic guys!

For anyone who is panicking at the market-wide price drops, please don't! There is no reason to panic. Look long-term, don't look at price charts over the last week or month, look at them over the last year and see the pattern of rises followed by pullbacks... but the course is always upwards.

Which is why we should not make it a habit to check the charts on a daily basis. Just let your investments be for a few months to a year and there’s a huge possibility that our investment would have gained big profit. Something that traders should learn and adopt.

That's quite good to hear, I also see the market that way, at least this time the price is stable at $8,000
so we can expect it to grow in the coming days. Let us not panic because this is not the only time it will drop, more situations
like this will happen and we still have to remain strong.

If anyone thinks like you, the market will not be crumbling like it is now. Most people are nervous, worried about the price of Bitcoin and some other Altcoin drops. However, it is only temporary and I assure you that it will increase in the near future. Almost everyone loses patience with that. So they sell out what they have, causing the market to collapse and become increasingly bleaks

I think we've probably hit the bottom, and are back on the road to recovery. If you read the crypto press, the analysts are still very bullish, predicting BTC at $50k and a combined market cap in excess of 1 trillion dollars by EoY. Hold tight my brothers and sisters, and buy while it's low, if you can spare the cash.

It is true that everyone is looking in the future of Bitcoin very positively (including me), but about the current correction, specialists in technical analysis say that it is not the end of price drops. But of course, selling in this moment would be a bad decision.

Dont panic because of the continious drop of prices in cryptocurrency market. We all know that these coins will soon rise up and recover its normal price. Do not make a decision because youre in a panic. Do not sell your coins now, keep buying because this is one of the best time to invest on it. Keep your calm before making decision.

I couldn't agree more. I'm hodling my coins as well and of course enjoying having to buy them low with this dip. Selling is the last thing in mind knowing that the market will recover, if not now, probably in the long run. Most of thepeople who panics are those new to thecrypto world. The longer you stayed in crypto, the more you will understand how it works. The golden rule we follow is buy them low and sell them high, and to never sell when you're at a loss.

you're right. Do not be afraid of the big collapse of market tokens as you study these tokens. the token tokens of a year will be overpriced by the market value. And if you study these tokens it's still pretty good today's statistic is pretty low right now but it's going to be high and it will increase too.

A lot of drops are caused by panic. If we are calm, the cryptosituation will be stable in any case. After reading some news and seeing that the price becomes low, people sell coins that causes more drops.

It is easier said than done. If you fear you will panic and fear is at the very root of losses and your daily interaction with the market. I will advice cryptocurrency investors and trader to consider what they are willing to lose and invest it, this singular act will wipe away all fears.

This is the called "Survival of the Fittest". Weak hands will panic and strong hands will prevail. The problem for some investors is that they see profit in short term and not long term so if they see that the price will decrease, they will sell at a loss and if the price increases after they sell they will say "Ohhhh shit, why did I sell at this price". Now they lost. The pro investors will say "The price of bitcoin is crashing, another opportunity to buy bitcoins". I hope this is the mindset of most investors in bitcoin. Don't panic sell and just hodl if you're at a loss.

You can not panic on the market. This can lead to disastrous consequences. You can lose your money. If you are sure that the price will go down, then sell and re-buy at the bottoms. If the price has already fallen dramatically, then just wait. The price will be restored. A panic does not lead to anything good.

No matter if we are in a bear market or bull market , panicking is our worst enemy in crypto. No good can come from panic. It will only led you to bad decisions like early sells , expensive buys etc.. because crypto is not something you should hurry about. You should take your time before making important decisions. I learnt that from hard way. I bought some coins from very high prices , thinking they will keep on rising and then they dropped a lot.

I totally agreed. There is no reason to panic.

Markets go up and down all the time, especially crypto.

For those who have bought high and am holding a loss at this moment, do not sell and cut loss. This is the most natural instinct as basic human instinct is to avoid pain but if you are able to hang on and endure this period, prices will rise and you will see your position in profit again.

The market test our resolve all the time. To be less affected, always trade with money you can lose. But if you have already throw in the kitchen sink, then just lock your private key to your wallet and keep it in the safe until half a year later. You will feel much better soon..
