You get max 14 activity per two week period.

Title: Re: Activity Score

I have no clue how this activity score is calculated....
I am only registered for 7 days and yet I have 28 activity (at time of writing)
The formula I found doesn't quite work out??

Quote
The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every 30 minutes.

Yeah but most of them only need 50 activity and i got that so fast. And they pay per posts not activity . So new accounts also can earn with sig ads.

You could’ve signed up a day or so before the start of the new two-week period. But yeah, it can be confusing.

I mean even if the restriction was only 5 seconds I don't think many people post more than once per minute anyway.

Yep - commitment required for sure.
That's why generally people tend to trust people with higher activity more - cause they wouldn't wanna risk losing their reputation with the account they've spent huge amounts of time on.

Well, that's why we have trust rating, but as I said, you're more likely to trust a hero member rather than a newbie/jr member if they both have 0 trust rating.
Atleast I think that's how people in general would feel, subconsciously if nothing else.

It seems like the time you have registered seems to be really important to your activity score.

It seems like you have not read any of the posts linking to an explanation or explaining the acitivity score.
This seems to be really important when one wants to understand how this strange system works.

I have, I'm not good at math though.
You get 14 every 2nd week period if you post. It's not hard math.

Depends it is the minimum numbers between the 14 activity for every two weeks or your post count for example if you have registered a month ago and posted 5 times, your activity would be the minimum between 14x2 = 28 and 5 so your activity would be 5

Should create black/white picture with sad depressing background and white label : No more than 14 activity per 2 weeks.

I think 14 is a bit much per week to be honest, doesn't take long for people to rank up around here, only the -last- ranks are quite hard to obtain.

That's true but still. Limitations are quite annoying whatever the field.

Meh, as soon as you become member~ you won't even notice the forum restrictions. It's like, 28 sec posting limit etc, really isn't noticeable unless you're deliberately trying to spam, why now anyone would do that.

There are a few people who post systematically, open a ton of threads write replies and then review before clicking post on all of them.
I do doubt that this affects the average user though.

Ah yeah that's a point of course, I've never done that myself, I tried once and ended up double posting and what not, was terribly confusing.
I just open one at the time, and therefore don't notice the restrictions. But I get your point.

It will, every time you receive 14 more activity it's lowered quite significantly.

Restrictions are bloody annyoing for news i can tell you that.

they are annoying but I feel like they are necessary, some people try to abuse the system, some other spam wrong threads/sections , before learning about the forum ect (not generalizing of course but when it happens it's pretty annoying)

Yup. As soon as the restrictions no longer applies to oneself you realize how necessary they are.

How is the score calculated? In the beginning I had as many as my posts, but now the activity is slacking after!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=464043.0

You get max 14 activity per two week period.
Cool, thank you for the link! :)

This helped, thanks!

bbit interests range from Dopecoin to off-topics threads

1092 activity is very high, he could get the "Old Timer" status @ 960  ;)
