Bitcoin might go as down as 4.5k USD at this rate, but I think there is a chance that it's value might actually stop dropping and start increasing again. It has already dropped alot from 20,000, currently it's price is 7.5k USD. It can be a good opportunity for the people who didn't get enough of profit from bitcoin if it rises again, but there is also a chance that it won't go up as much as it did. You can predict but it can't be 100% accurate. I think and hope it will increase though. :P

Lets see what happens with Tether.  If, by some miracle, they aren't just one big scam then I think Bitcoin will rebound FAST and HARD.  But to the contrary and there will be a world of pain for lots of people.

Funny topic, i really don't know what is your purpose but you keep forcing people to sell their Bitcoins for what ? Bitcoin won't back to the stone age at 4,5k for sure because there will be sharks and whales stops it if there is a chance that happening.

when you started that thread price was exactly at the bottom. it was actually recovering after a bottom and price was $8045 and then it not only didn't fall but instead it went up to $11400 in one big rise then continued to the ATH!

I don't think you can be that much sure about that. If your prediction worked once, we can't be sure that it will happen again. What if people sell now and the price goes up tomorrow? I would personally buy some now and hodl. If it goes down, fine, will buy more with that price also. How does this work for you?  ;)

I can see that the era of bitcoin is now over I guess the bitcoin will swing its price in the market in the lower price market value and I guess because of a lot of panic selling is going to happened but I can say that if we hold the bitcoin up to more than a month or a year I guess the bitcoin will continue to pump in the market and I guess in 5 years the price of bitcoin will pump and continue to making history in the price of bitcoin. I think we need not worry, we just have to be patient and wait. increase and decrease in price is reasonable. when prices rise quickly, maybe it will also drop quickly. but when the price goes up slowly, it will also slowly fall. see the history of the bitcoin price drop I think we need not worry.

Since this is very hard to believe but I think it since bitcoin now are still crushing and even all tokens are crushing in my own opinion it is much better hold than sell now because its too hurt and think about hodling is the most precious we do now.

Bitcoin's market value is indeed falling. But rather to worry and panic, we should take this opportunity to invest since the market value of Bitcoin is currently low. Chances are high that its market price will eventually increase. Mst of the cryptos are falling so it is a sign that the flcutuations that Bitcoin is having, is just normal.  Bitcoin is still having a high demand so its value will possibly rise eventually. Just continue holding.

Well I suggest to buy and not to sell. Hold your existing bitcoin and buy additional coins. I think you will lose much if you sell. Don't discourage people to withraw their bitcoin .

Well 7500 held once, that was where a lot of people said was a strong support level. Lets see if it can hold.

You have a good prediction but can you tell me why it will go down to 4.5k? falling price of bitcoin was affected because of some bad news and regulations and it is the real reason why market is down.

If it reaches that price, I will not sell it but I will buy and hold it until the price soars again. That would be a very interesting advantage.

I highly doubt it will go down to $4.5k, there is no indication that it will collapse by another 50%. That would be one of the largest collapses in bitcoin history. We are likely near the bottom of this drop, now is a very good time to invest.

I don;t think so, because there are more people that are watching the price to drop for them to be enable to buy and add more possessions. The buying power of people will be much higher to the selling emotions of many, thus the price wont go down more further. You can even ask your self, do the 8k price is good enough to buy bitcoins, why? because it will definitely go up again in the next few months and will grant me instant revenue. Again, just think of it, I'm pretty sure it wont happen.

I personally think USD5k is very likely. Reasoning: during a crash of a bubble, the baseline to the start of the original parabolic growth is very likely; as those who enters after that point in time are paying, increasingly, exponentially more to enter into the market as the price went up way too fast.

4.5USD? maybe.. some even predicts that it might go down to 2kUSD eventually this round (but I am kinda sceptical).

It has risen slightly as some whales decides to buy in, however, the drop might not be just over yet (I don't see a sudden change as a real recovery), until all the negative news have finished rolling out. I think it will likely go down to USD7k, and stabilize a while; and might go down even further till mid Feb(?)

Basically, it could very well continue to drop in phases, as the regulatory news starts rolling out + countries staying that they are considering banning it completely, etc. More are certainly to come.

In the longer term, hopefully, there will be an accumulation of an increasingly experienced HODLers to provide a more stable higher baseline?

It will never go back to 4500 usd. If you are waiting it to happen to buy you can wait forever. 8K-9K levels are perfect to buy I believe. if you do technical analysis with fibonacci retracements you will see that there is high probability that today hit the bottom.

Not the end of those tightening regulatory FUD news though. More are expected to come.

You will likely lose quite a bit in the long run if you convert over to ETH from BTC.  We did hit a pretty nice low for BTC which I took advantage of, but as you can see, it is climbing back up already.  ETH has more time to grow, but BTC will continue to rise more and more in the future.  Think of BTC as an IRA that will overall always maintain your overall wealth going forward.  Alt coins may or may not stick around long enough to last until you are ready to cash out.

Provided that no more bad news gets released; then the analytical trend can be valid in the mid-term ahead of this mth.

Although you were right about Bitcoin touching 7.5k which it touched by the way it didn't remain there, if we can close the week above 9.5k-10k I don't think we will end up going back to levels that low we will have much support at these current levels. The way I view it, Bitcoin has seen the worst of it now and we are on our ways up :).

Impressive that your past thread says that bitcoin will go to $7,500 and that's an accurate one as bitcoin is nearly hitting that level. But as someone that wants to compare different technical analysis I want to know what are your basis? Where are you getting these numbers, I mean how did you come up to this speculation that bitcoin will go to $4,500? For sure you have saved a lot of bitcoins and sold it and you are just waiting for that level so you can buy at cheaper rate again.

See it all comes down on how markets are functioning. If there's a good news or bad news markets would act accordingly. But if there is nothing what do you expect people to do. They will start dumping, panic sellers would follow, they make a circumstance from it and they buy from the dips again. So what matters is the situation of the markets.

Clearly, of all the people stating various random predictions or speculations that are well thought of or not about the prices of bitcoins, there will obviously be one that gets it right. And because just like you, I too have my own speculation which I have done a lot of research on using all the clues that i have gathered in the past, I will not sell. But okay then, let's say you get this one right again, assuming that this will really happen, I still won't budge. Because to be honest, I really do not look care if it goes down anymore. I agree with you on the fact that if bitcoin ever dipped to $4.5k it'll be a very good buying opportunity for sure. So without a doubt, when the price is under $5k it should be clear for anyone to start putting money into bitcoin again.

I'll still look to unload, if you are a short term investor, at a price between $10-12k. There should be a nice recovery after all the recent days' worth of dumps. It won't go to $5k or less directly.

So for now, for anyone looking to sell in the short term, I would be holding until the price is at least 5 figures again, then by back when price is $7k or lower.

Indeed many people will cast their wallet and buy more as they can since they will find this one as good day to earn some profits since they know bitcoins will pump on future comes, but we cannot actually tell that many people would buy really since many people get hurt for the dump and surely they will doubt on the state and many people will also look this as panic times.

we need to accept the fact that the price will go down more and we cannot stop it because of some bad news spreading around the globe that can really affect the price and since the price is not yet stable perhaps it will continue to fall before it will rise  , and any cheaper price is possible for now .

I think you are right. We are going to under $5K levels with the total Chinese ban and G20 meeting tomorrow. But I'm sure the price will recover until the end of March.

I personally think that $4.5K is a really good price to buy, just like way back in August 2017, then wait for a couple of months again for it to reach another all time high. This high volatility in the market really proves that BTC is not some kind of get-rich-quick scheme investment vehicle.

Actually I thought bitcoin will stay around $8000, this won't go back it may be the least bottom and will increase again soon but everything happening in the reverse order, looking on this price chart it seems that it will fall but up to where we can't predict only thing we can do is to wait for a good news.

The price is now out of reach, no one knows how much it will drop. Many people are looking forward to returning $8,000 to collect the bitcoin and they have been as desired. Who knows the upcoming can drop to $4,500 or $3,000.

The whales are trying to dump the price to make people feel panic then sell all their BTC to cut the loss but I don't think they will let the price of Bitcoin dump to 4k5$ cause it's too low and it'll make Bitcoin really hard to retrieve so I think 6k$ is the lowest price that Bitcoin price can drop to. For now it's increasing just a little bit to over 7k$. Hope this dump has been over.

The bitcoin that you are holding when did you buy them? I think if you buy them high and you sell lower you make a loss and I will advise you not to sell but buy more when it falls to $4,500.  Many experts are saying bitcoin has reached the bottom but I think it's still maybe going down and we have to wait as the event unfolding.

You can expect anything to happen especially when it comes to that of crypto currencies and more specifically when it comes to that of bitcoin. Nope. 6000-6500 usd mark has been the safe zone. It is more likely to rise up to 10k usd by the end of the month. I'm quite positive that it will go up again with the upcoming updates on Bitcoin. By Q2 of 2018 we will see Bitcoin at 10k-15k usd and Ethereum at 1k-1.5k usd

I'm personally hoping to see it crash again once all of those late to the buying party end up selling to make their short-term profits.  I would love to see it hit sub-6k again.  The market will bounce back quickly I have no doubt.

Seems like an accurate prediction to me. I suspect that Ethereum may grow to over $3,000 by the end of 2018, whilst I think that bitcoin will stabilize around $15-25,000, but may shoot much higher if the lightning network is released and adopted quickly, and if there are no major stumbling blocks. OP says that he correctly predicted it will go $7.5k, and yet he neglects the number of people that predicted the opposite. Similarly, he predicts $4.5k, other people predict it will increase, if he is wrong he won't mention it again in future.

Why are you waiting for the further dip? The dip has happened at $6,000 and that's so far the further that you have been waiting for. And look on how you have mentioned the price aren't you regretting that you didn't bought at the dip yesterday? Days are quickly fading and bitcoin is quickly increasing again too so for someone that bought yesterday he's good enough and can take some profits today but to wait for further pump it can also increase.

For me, the 20k race really surprised me when I expected bitcoin to be at 8000k by the end of 2017 / early 2018. So everything is in line with my plans, except the 20k rally

However, I still believe my original prediction for 2018 will happen

For 2018, my predictions are:

MID 2018

BTC 25000k
ETH 4500k (20% of BTC value) as I think this year ETH will fluctuate between 10% and 20% of BTC value, so it will also be good for swapping :)

END 2018

BTC 100000k
ETH 10000k (10% of BTC value by the end of the year)

edit: for me, BTC cannot go much lower than 6k, but it still has space to fall more according to my calculations, if it breaks my secret value I will sell all my positions right away because it will be the end

What would your 'secret value' be?  I don't think it will ever be the 'end' of BTC so I am interested in your rationale behind some secret value that would usher the end of crypto as we know it.

I use cost of mining hardware to gauge the direction of a correction.

People know that Miners are hardcore into BTC and tend to get the loans to invest in hardware that in turn gets put back into the bitcoin echosystem.

Here is a recent offering from a manufacturer that is working with Samsung to create ASIC's in one copacity or another.

Expect new hardware to come out of this.

There are many reasons for these devices. Perhaps obligatory contracts and these help replace end of life hardware.

Here is what it would look like if BTC/USD was at $15,000.00. From what I can see buying BTC at this low rate vs hardware purchase of this type makes business sense.

Even if it breaks that resistance point we'll still never know. Some people are saying that breaking the 9 or 9.2k resitance would clear us out of the woods but bitcoin has proved wrong even the most experienced trader's predictions.
