it was very shameful that certain news channels misinterpreted and did not spend time to review all the contents that the minister said and only after a review of the content that the minister said they published on their news channels. but they dont do this. this kind of thing where the journalist takes their own conclusions and post News that are not true are damaging bitcoin and this is becoming frequent.

in the article published in the cointelegraph makes a brief evaluation of this type of behavior

Read it properly (https://cointelegraph.com/news/black-january-why-is-bitcoin-in-such-a-bad-way)

The last bout of misinformation that had its say on the markets came out of India where a simple case of misreading stirred even more panic.

Mainstream media, rushing to get the news out, seemingly misinterpreted a government speech on regulation. The line in question, from finance minister Arun Jaitley, read:

The government does not recognize cryptocurrency as legal tender or coin and will take all measures to eliminate the use of these crypto assets in financing illegitimate activities or as part of the payments system.

However, this was then blown up into:
“Arun Jaitley has just killed India’s cryptocurrency party,” by a Quartz’s article on the subject.

The line in equation states that the regulators in India are aiming to eliminate the use of cryptocurrencies to fund illegal activities but avoids mentioning the full legality of digital currencies.

we need to be responsible when we publish some news

Yes, according to Mr. Arun Jaitley India will be trying to put a stop to the illegal activites that are being carried out by using bitcoins and they are not actually going to  ban bitcoins. The media is trying to spread fake and half true news which is surely affecting bitcoin's value. I don't understand why are they trying to spread so much of negativity about bitcoins and it is definitely harming alot of people as they would quicksell their btc after watching all this on the news. I think this should be changed if it is possible somehow.

The Minister of Finance of India announced that they do not recognize cryptocurrency as a means of payment (which is the reason for the current failure of the bitcoin course). So what, they did not legalize it. The right news at the right time and paid traffic for advertising this news in the media. Everything is done for the hamsters to dump the cryptocurrency, where large investment funds are waiting for further collapse of the rate.

I have argued that it is more of media hatred taking advantage of government pronouncements to advance their own agenda against bitcoin.  Sure gradually bitcoin will win ultimately.

Really doesn't matter. Bitcoin cannot be banned even if they wanted to. Best they can do is shut down exchanges in India. Most of those exchanges are probably not even housed in the country.

They can prohibit exchange within their country and close access to Internet providers, this is the maximum.

This has been proved to be false, but it is still causing a lot of panic in the cryptocurrency market.
There has been a big drop in the last few days, when the news was confirmed yesterday as a fake news, and today bitcoin is rose again. ;D

India and China, also banned the currency trading, I think it is unwise to these countries banned the currency trading decisions, if after the virtual currency development is very good, so these countries is expected to regret it.

I don't know how many times the same wrong news is going to come out and people panic sell and cause a price drop before they stop and think for a moment when they hear a news like this saying some country banned bitcoin!

ignoring the FUD side of it, bitcoin (which the news says they are banning) is a decentralized cryptocurrency. if you think banning it can do anything to it then you shouldn't be using bitcoin anymore because you don't know the first thing about a censorship resistance currency!

So much FUD is spread and so much of it is untrue. It's either entirely wrong or a key part is incorrect. Truth is, most the media sites posting the FUD, probably don't really have a clue about Cryptocurrencies.

You see , there was no intention of Indian government to ban completely bitcoin , you see how stupid minds falsifying informations and let the panic grows up every where , but for reasonable people I think this is not an issue because they search for the true informations and does not believe such craps
