Title: Is the market of cryptocurrencies inevitably going down?
Post by: kryptqnick on February 03, 2018, 05:50:49 PM
The market is down, especially disappointing is btc's behavior. The news on btc say sad things like that bitcoin is just a bubble that exploded and everything.. But not only bitcoin is having hard times. Most of top coins are as well. I want to know what the forum members think about all this. Is it really the end of nice and easy money? Will we ever see bitcoin worth $20k again?
I was saving some money in btc and it is quite depressing that a month ago I had about $900 and now every week I receive the payment from a signature campaign and see the sum in USD decreasing...

I don't think it's the end, there's still great potential and honestly some sort of crash like this was needed in order to control expectations and growth. It will shake off weak hands and take us back to having a large majority of investors being people who believe in crypto instead of just in making easy money.

You have to note that the media portrays the current state of these cryptocurrencies. If they see Bitcoin going down, it's often news about why Bitcoin is worthless and why it won't go anywhere in the future that comes on the rise. When we're going up, there's good news surrounding the coin. With these factors in mind, just be sure to note that you don't have to be extremely pessimistic about the coin just because the only news you hear about it is bad.

Don't worry, we don't know where Bitcoin is going. Q1 in general has been pretty bad in the past and although I can't say that there's a correlation-causation here, there's definitely hope for a strong rebound in the next quarters. Keep your eyes peeled and try to find any unbiased sources of news if possible.

The collapse of prices in the crypto currency market is always a good time to buy bitcoin and other crypto currencies if you have not done so before. Thus, a lot of money is earned! And if you already have bitcoin, just do not get nervous and wait! Closer to March - April 2018 will be the growth of all crypto currencies!

I really think market downfall is inevitable since bitcoin price is really volatile. It can be affected depending on market demand, current events and news. Of course, let's add panic selling every time market price falls down, a chain reaction of market dip happens because as more people sell during the dip, most people follow.

There is no logical reason to think that the price of bitcoin will do anything other than continue to fall by a significant amount, and there are tons of logical reasons to think that the value will reach zero within a few years (not the least of which is that there are tons of superior alt coins out there).

This is the time to show or know if you are truly a bitcoin brave warrior. I don't get this constant freaking out, if you can't continue to HODL, just sell off your coins and have a rest to prevent yourself from impending heart attack. Whatever that is happening now is just normal, if you have an extra cash, buy more and keep. All, I know is that in months to come, we will be seeing a high price as usual or even higher.

Keep calm and Hold. This is what I'm doing now since I'm not really into investing into bitcoin or altcoins since I'm just earning it then I'm not really bothering too much but I do still believe this is not the end of bitcoin or any other altcoin. This is just really a correction of prices. Imagine how high we did reach compared on previous years prices? We can really able to tell that we are still on a good level.

The decline was due to investors monitoring the warnings of some regulators and stepping up crackdowns on the virtual currency market in China.
A sharp decline occurred in bitcoin prices, reaching the lowest point in 1.5 months. In addition, the price of ethereum and ripple also decreased significantly.
But this is not the end of bitcoin, this is a good start, here we have a great chance to invest while prices are still down.
so do not worry, surely in the next stage the price will skyrocket again.

Nah you are already a Hero Member so at least you should know how price behaves. Can't believed you are still worried after some more years lurking in this forum. or maybe that account is a purchased one so you are not used to experienced this kind of crash, well just kidding.

Just think of this, what is the bitcoin back when you are still a Newbie rank here? Compare it to today's price or even the lowest point yersterday and you will see what I mean.

Up, down, up, and down some more. That is the natural progression of the markets, but I don't think the cryptos are going to crash to zero if that is what you are asking. Have some faith, it is only a little bit of blood now :).

The account is not purchased, it's just that the price drops bitcoin experienced before were not so significant. Even if in terms of price they were (like when the price went down from $800 to $300 in 2015), it didn't look that bad at that time, because the marketcap wasn't that high and people were more cautious of the coin and sort of expected it to behave risky. Now, when the capitalization is so high, each time there's a serious decrease, billions of dollars are [temporarily?] lost. This is a big deal.
I believe bitcoin will be able to get over it, but I agree with one economist whose video I watched that we've never seen anything like this before and it indeed went far below what would be a normal price correction. And besides, I heard bitcoin advertising on facebook has been banned and I guess it is also a bad sign, since they want to protect people from risky investments.

The price went up to 19K in a month , that was not normal. We cannot expect a normal price correction either. Coupled with FUD news, the price could go down more, so brace yourself.

And besides, I heard bitcoin advertising on facebook has been banned and I guess it is also a bad sign, since they want to protect people from risky investments.

I do not see it as a bad sign, a good news even. If you look at it, it will lessen the bad and scam ICOs from facebook. Thus lessening those newbie crypto investors getting caught in bad ICOs, less bad reps for crypto. Less people associating crypto and bitcoin to scam and ponzi.

were you believing that the price would just go up and not fall? disappointing? you know that at 12 months ago the price of bitcoin was very low and not even many governments worried about bitcoin and its price, but in such a short time the price has increased a lot and you should thank for having this increase

The news on btc say sad things like that bitcoin is just a bubble that exploded and everything..

do not listen to these news channels

I want to know what the forum members think about all this. Is it really the end of nice and easy money?

if you think it is easy money then many people would be millionaires very easily, there is no easy money, people strive to make money

Will we ever see bitcoin worth $20k again?

yes

I think it's just normal to have a significant fall of bitcoin, no one knows if it's really a bad sign or a good sign indeed. Those who are new to trading may find it a frustrating and scary but not for the ones who have joined trading way before. Just keep your fingers crossed, be on the positive side that's the most important.

Imagine the first time the Internet got in to a social network. It wasn't nearly as good and popular as it is today. It evolved in to a point that is hard to imagine a society that doesn't have a social network. I think that the cryptocurrencies filled a gap that will never be empty again, maybe we are in the stage were this is very odd and surely unpopular, but there's no comeback, from now on, the cryptocurrencies gap will no longer exists

Market is down so what?its just a normal type of scene on cryptocurrency because all of them are all volatile and can rise and drop in just minutes or seconds. It goes down but it goes higher when it came back so no need to worry about

I read an article on how Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency actually works and it made me realize more what is supposed to be the purpose of Bitcoin in us. It is not actually on easy money or the continuous increase in your investment but a new digital store value which us users should understand. Cryptocurrencies cannot avoid this downfall and we must not be able to lose hope on its value and eventually withdraw our investments. We should wait for the time when it will rise again especially when we will be lossing alot.

No one can predict the future of cryptocurrencies but we can make hypothesis based on the things that are going around or happening now. Bitcoin really made a huge decreasing in price since December last year. The dropping of the price did not recover until now. All other altcoins also follow the steps of Bitcoin. It is so sad to see the chart that everything is going down. Right now, I am just keeping my coin and hoping that it will rise up again.

Yes, I agree with that, I just didn't know they banned all kinds of crypto advertising.

Well, in my country the average salary for a full-time job (in the capital!) is about $300. For a part-time job one can earn about $180 in a very good case. There used to be a time recently when one could have $350 per month for a signature campaign job, which is an interesting and not very hard job. That's what I meant by easy money. Oh, and secondly, the easiness was out there for trading. One could just pick 4 top coins, buy them and have solid profit from 3 out of 4 in a few months.

It is indeed inevitably falling due to their volatility in nature. But no dumps are permanent . Surely, each of the cryptos' market value will increase including Bitcoin's. Holding then, will be a good idea and investing now that its market price is low, will be better. Forget about sellimg because it will not be an advantage for this scenario.

Winter has passed but hodl the coin still.  ;D

Thing is, you've already placed your money in this knowing the risks and all. "Hindsight is 20/20" works both ways. "Oh, I should have sold it during the ATH, now I have to sell at a loss and get out quick" and then when it rises again "Sigh, I've sold off all those bitcoins. Now it's rising again and have to buy it back higher. I should have stockpiled then".

But, you do you. If you really need that money then take it out, just don't nag at yourself later.

the market goes up and down is already common, but if we have a lot of coin and want to sell but the price is still down, maybe better calm down and hold, wait for the price to rise.
any price reduction there will be an increase in price, do not panic here, stay calm.

If you have other sources of income, just leave that money from signature campaigns untouched. This way you can accumulate good quantity of bitcoins over time. I think if your goal is to achieve returns like ten times or so at current price levels, you need to forget about the bitcoins in your wallet for next five years.
