Ethereum developers are shifting their strategic focus. Ethereum continued to improve the security of blockchain application networks by implementing two hard and two unexpected bifurcations; Ethereum founder Vitalik Bruin began planning a new milestone. The ensuing strategic adjustment will help to "abstract" or reduce most of the complexity of Ethereum's rules to virtual machines, reducing the overall complexity of the system. This helps to achieve long-term planning features and the integration of the network.

Betting on ETH this year, among a few other things.   Knock on wood.

Ethereum is aiming to compete with bitcoin for the king of cryptocurrencies in the year 2018. Ethereum did this, I think I should increase the holdings of Ethereum, may catch this free ride.

Ethereum is another up coming crypto currency. We all know that Bitcoin is the mother of all crypto currency. But after Bitcoin we all take ethereum as second. Day by day like Bitcoin the price of ethereum is also increasing. Many of the economist already announced that ethereum is like the backup of bitcoin. They thought that if for any reason Bitcoin fails to meet the demand of people then ethereum will meet the blank spot. Day by day llime Bitcoin, ethereum is also becoming famous. To me in future ethereum will also become a new source of crypto currency but it won't take over Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin is in the platform for a long long period of time. But ethereum is almost new to this platform. But I would rather call it as the 2nd best crypto currency.

I think ETH has great potential. If ETH can make up for bitcoin's flaw, it is likely to replace bitcoin, but ETH is based on bitcoin's improvement. Bitcoin's influence is still huge，and I think ETH will not go beyond bitcoin in a short time.

Yes, Ethereum is planning to take over bitcoin and they plan to be number one.  I do not think that this can happen in the near future but I am positive that one day they will do it.

One advantage of Ethereum is the founder is known and can actullay make plan on his coin.

And what happens if yanks arrest this founder as russian as they usually do, can this affect Ethereum?

Aside from Bitcoin, I have a strong feeling that Ethereum will really make it or rather solidify its position as the number two in the cryptocurrency market. And yes, no Ripple or Bitcoin Cash can be able to take its position that easily. One thing I love with Ethereum is that it has a solid leadership something which we don't have in Bitcoin as Satoshi Nakamoto is already gone for good. Bitcoin has become like a captain-less ship while Ethereum is strong in its direction because it got people behind it who are strong in making sure that it stays adept in an ever-changing cryptocurrency world. These and more are the reasons why I also love Eth.

They just need a good tactics and strategy to overpowered or surpass bitcoin. As of now, they are consistent being the number two cryptocurrency and it is a good stats so they will be in good shape until they got a big success. As of now they are all aline with bitcoin but we can expect that someday they will be independent to themselves.

This is total BS my friend. The fact that Vitalik and the founders are known, actually count against them. They can be targetted with Bribes or forced with violence to do their masters work or even killed and replaced.

These high value targets is a weak point in their whole project, because they are corruptable. Vitalik has already had talks with Putin and Putin has alledgedly had people killed before.

Vitalik Buterin and Peter Thiel are the devil. Their product is essentially still vaporware. They still have security problems with the smart contracts. Their entire system crashed down around their feet during their second convention. They are going to switch from PoW to PoS because they can’t figure out how to scale their network. I guarantee they’ll fuck it up. It won’t even be pseudo-anonymous, digital identities will take over in a DApp. No one will transact without one.

The worst part about ethereum is the only thing it has going for it. It has a decentralized blockchain but it’s sucking the teet of big business. Forks can be the death knell of a business conscious blockchain claiming to secure important contracts “forever”. When fork-less NEO takes hold, watch ethereum support dissipate into the ether.

What’s with Vitalik Buterin being so skinny? Is he HIV positive or what? Is it because he’s a 24 year old kid from Russia and is used to not having enough food at home? Somebody please buy that fucking kid a sandwich.

Ethereum's main vision is to, replace bitcoin positions
and I think now is an opportunity for Ethereum, because BTC is down
and it could be that Ethereum will actually replace Bitcoin

Ethereum is becoming familiar day by day. Once Bitcoin was like ethereum. No one knew it. But with the pass of time ethereum came to light. Today ethereum is at such a place where everyone who know about crypto currency knows well about ethereum. Day day it's publicity is increasing. So, to me the future road of ethereum is smooth like Bitcoin. But of course it will go through some odds ....

In short, or even middle term (till the end of this year) ETH supposed to be fine but imo sooner or later people will stop mindlessly invest into ICOs (maybe it will happen after several big projects will show 0 result after gathering millions) and the general ICO market won't be that overpriced. Together with  the unlimited emission of the coin it will lead to the price decrease. Devs may fix the situation by switching to the PoS and setting high deposit limits but it is just a matter of time untill the price will go down. Stories about ETH taking over BTC is just a wet dreams of ETH hodlers.

Many predict that bitcoin will become king of the next crypto currency, but I am not sure it will happen because until now I have not seen significant bitcoin price developments

It will be good for ethereum and make ethereum strong and survive in the long run. With it investors will feel safe investing money in ethereum, and ethereum users will also increase.

Good news to all Ethereum holders out there that this cryptocurrency has been a good start of 2018, I can say that the founder really works hard each day to make sure this digital crypto will be a solid foundation like btc, it's more convenient and easy to deal with, it will actually helps to grow economically faster and be manageable to other holders to trade, to earn, to sell, to buy. I can smell good year for this trend for eth. Let's support this!

I won't comment anything about speculation part but I definitely believe that ethereum could prove a better solution for the I.O.T and A.I sectors in the coming years. Since we will be living in a global era, there will be a need for universal currency as well as a platform for optimised contracts in order to deal with the professional manner. Ethereum has a good scope in this regard in terms of development and sustainable growth considering the possibilities of future requirements.

ETH’s been having a great run this year and I guess ICOs have been playing a huge role in this thing

Well, even if ethereum rice keeps decreasing I still believe that ethereum will succeed and will be like a partner to bitcoin. Those 2 cryptos are very strong now.

Although Vitalik Buterin has been making certain hype around Ethereum, the platform and crypto are really cool. Although some new projects that remind it (like Cardano, NEO, Stellar, EOS) appeared, Ethereum is leading here. Buterin said that they are thinking about changing the emission of ETH to increase the value of tokens. Thus the coin will be growing.

Since the year 2018 have come, bitcoin is until now on its downfall of price which is also ethereum has decreased it's price too. This two kind of cryptocurrency are the strong kind of cryptocurrency that exist. However, what I see in Ethereum today I guess it will go through a tough road before it can tie up in the competitive price of bitcoin.

Ethereum is the 2nd to Bitcoin. They are like partners now, Ethereum is rising and it has great potential to rise just like Bitcoin did. It's one of the best on investing for a long term investments for your money to rise for you to hold on a few months or even years.

this is what I love from ethereum technology, besides that eth always try new innovation which make comfortable its user. this is why I keep hold and store a lot of eth, because I believe 2-4 years ahead eth has a very high selling value.

Ethereum is a strong crypto, almost all ico are done on it and its growth is backed up by the demand. So as there are plenty of icos going on, demand will keep increasing.

I think the future of ETH will be a very good altcoin in terms of their development and support.

Developers conduct the right policy, those who regularly refine and improve their product, as a result, and will be in the black.

I believe that ethereum can be a better solution for I.O and A.I sectors in the coming years. Since we will live in a global era, there will be a need for universal currencies and also platforms for optimal contracts to be professionally handled.

We don't need to invest in ETH

It is really good to see good news about the ethereum. I think it has a great potential to reach great successes and great prices and I hope that it can be a real competitor of the bitcoin in a near future.

I think Ethereum and Bitcoin are not really competitors, they are rather like different companies as Google and Microsoft for example.

As I see, Ethereum's road is so bright! it is one of the top currency in cryptoworld and now, it is the major currency in every project that have blockchain technology. We did see its potential last year when it rise and there is so much room for potential now for ethereum coming from crypto crash! and it will hold its might as one of the solid cryptocurrency in a long time!

Ethereum is the most prominent of the projects where open for improvement and the team behind is most robust. Yes, I agree there are a lot of problems right now, but some of the most important breakthroughs in the development of cryptocurrencies have been done through innovations introduced by Ethereum. I think Ethereum's road is completely open for the future.

Ethereum's future road will go straight up as for me. The founders have unreal profits, but they are still trying to improve the plaform and make it more customisable. These people are enthusiasts and it is our future:)

Eth has a very stable price action compared to most other cryptos which investors like. On top of that, it is decentralized and pretty much secure just like Bitcoin.

Ethereum has  great potentials in future. The massive number of ICO coming up and using Ethereum smart contracts is also an indication that Ethereum future will be huge.

I believe, that ETH have great future, cause it's blockchain technology and smart-contracts have big amount fans and I am in their's amount.

Now there is a full integration of the Byzantine patch. If Vitalik succeeds in increasing the transmission rate of the transaction, then most likely the airwaves will cost much more than now. Therefore, right now I think that it is worth buying ether and keeping on the wallet for the next year

For the beginning of 2018 Ethereum Very Unstable, Sometimes Up and Down Sometimes. But for the future Ethereum is very good over time in this year 2018. Hopefully there will be no more drastic price declines.

my broad belief is that coins like ethereum or other utility or platform tokens will outperform coins aiming to be pure medium of exchange or store of value tokens, partly due to tougher crackdown by regulators on the latter. go eth!

Vitalik is really back with the team,ethereum platform is indeed one of the best platform in cryptocurrency,without these brave developers i dont think cryptocurrencies will grow to what we have today,because of the smartcontracts more projects has come to blockchain technology which is great because more and more investors are coming in to join our community.

I always believe that there's always a room for improvement for ETH and looking at ETH's team lead by Vitalik will make ETH a more stable crypto currency. Although I trust ETH very much, I still don't think that it could replace BTC as I consider them both as father and mother of all the crypto currencies out there  ;D

It is nothing new here. Ethereum is improving and keep moving forward. I think Ethereum is one of the best coins now and one of the most promising projects.

When the price of the ethereum hit the $1200, I felt really great. Despite its current price, I think it is maybe the most trustable altcoin. I really hope to see that its price will reach a price which is more above of its the last top price.

I think what Etereum is enoying now is the netowork effect, and since the foundation is very well capitalised they can attract the best developers aorund to their platform, I don't know if the likes of NEO, Wanchain, ICON and co will snatch part of its network but it is well position in the space to be the next number one
