Title: Top 5 Bitcointalk accounts
Post by: Heisenberg_Hunter on February 05, 2018, 07:42:24 AM
Since the launch in 2009, Bitcointalk has hugely become popular among crypto users and many coin developers are extensively using this platform to promote their newest products.
Bitcointalk currently has more than 1.8 million users and this number will drastically grow in the following years. Like many other forums on the net this has become a place for many bitcoiners to talk about the current affairs in crypto world and can clear the doubts regarding cryptos.

Which accounts stand here for top 5?
Here's a list of top 5 bitcointalk accounts according to me. I have minimized the list to 5 so that it won't create controversy among the users.

5. Hal Finney or Harold Thomas Finney  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2436)

Date Registered : November 30,2010
Last Post : August 09, 2013

The person who received the first bitcoin transaction from Satoshi. It was believed that Hal was satoshi but he never accepted it. Hal used to work in a company called PGP Corporation and was one of those people who used to regularly post on the cryptography listserv where Satoshi first posted his research. In his last days too, he kept on computing and working on a software named ‘bcflick’ to strengthen the security of the bitcoin wallet which was mentioned in his postin this forum.

4. admin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1)

Date Registered:   November 17, 2009

The first account created in bitcointalk forum by satoshi for testing. Many of you may wonder what the 7 posts were? These were test messages which were made back in 2009 for testing that this forum runs correctly. You may find this 7 posts in  staff forum (https://bitcointalk.org/first_topics/) section.

3.  Sirius or Martti Malmi (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=4)

Date Registered:   November 20, 2009

The founder of bitcointalk forum and the second bitcoin developer after satoshi. Though not a current developer of coin he manages the bitcointalk and bitcoin domains.

2.  Theymos or Michael Marquardt (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=35)

Date Registered:   February 09, 2010

The most popular man in bitcointalk world is none other than theymos himself. The admin of bitcointalk and also currently moderating /r/bitcoin subreddit this person became the most influential person in bitcoin community. He has been credited for creating the first block explorer, for generally contributing to Bitcoin's technical discussion and a lot more works. Theymos has done a lot to prevent this official forum from becoming low quality.

1.  Satoshi Nakamoto  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3)

Date Registered:   November 19, 2009

As most of you would have guessed the first place is taken by Satoshi. The founder of bitcoin and the third registered user in this forum satoshi has immensely contributed to bitcoin which is currently the top and first cryptocurrency created. Satoshi has left this forum way back in December 2010 and has not shown up anywhere. No one knows who is satoshi and how he/she/they looks but his contribution to this world has revolutionized how payments were done all over the world and this invention will last forever and will be a milestone on history of this world.
This forum has been created by satoshi and the first post in this forum was done by satoshi. By introducing bitcoin he was the first to prevent the double spending problem for digital currency. It is claimed that Satoshi Nakamoto is an imaginary name, a pseudonym, adopted by the creator of Bitcoin. The search for the real Satoshi Nakamoto has been endless with one misidentification after the other, mostly created by journalists around the world.

Nice effort in selecting these. You should also add an option to add top 5 bitcointalk accounts of new members separately so that they also have a chance.

I would add in that lost our lovely Lauda. I think many users know this name and faced with her critic. This person really plays big role today on the forum and has a lot of power, just like a "bad cop" ::). I think her name should be in the list somewhere after theymos.

Interesting list but a bit confusing. Top 5 based on what? And how does #4 belong here...? Putting test account along with people who have big input is confusing.

I am just mentioning bitcointalk accounts which will be spoken for decades. Bitcointalk is a top forum among crypto users, in such a forum many people would think upon which is the first account registered on this forum and which might be the first post made on this forum. Today there are tons and tons of new users creating an account each day but the first account created in this forum is worth mentioning. Hardly today only one account is active and has been updating this forum which is theymos for sure whereas most of the users forgot these big names who shaped the bitcointalk. Moreover I have minimized this list to 5 so that it won't create controversy among users. If it was top 10 I would have mentioned some worthy names there and it would have been even more interesting.

By this great research i know now a lot of things about these top 5 users, Nice work, man. I already saw the 7 posts written by admin, and when i click on "Show the last posts of this person", It appear "Sorry, no matches were found". So now i knew that all the 7 posts are some tests in this forum by satoshi nakamoto.

How could you leave out Vitalik   , The creator of ethereum would be number 2 in my book.

Cool thread. I like these kinds of threads. I have read Satoshi's, Vitalik's and pizza guy Laszlo's comment earlier, great stuff.
We heard these things happened and we can find them here. How cool is that.
