It is possible, it will be the biggest discount ever that bitcoin gives. This is the right time to buy, the market is being played by whales and history is repeating itself. After all these it will be back to normal and it will be very to buy in.

Alot of pump groups seem to have the consensus of a 5500 low with a bull spike back to 25K.  If we can keep the FUD articles and news feed to a minimum on media outlets, we may actually see the values they are predicting.

Anywhere in future - sure. In the nearest month or two, I really doubt.

In the past few days, I think this is a great chance.
But if it really falls below $ 6000, I think it is a good time to buy it.

Its possible for me. It may even drop to $1k dollars by mid-2018 in my own speculation only. As I have observed, bitcoin didn’t experienced it alone but also the other altcoins just this first quarter of the year. And as I have read from the site as stated by some investments experts; this year, ever since theres a new crypto being released in market, if not having capability to be traded to USD right away then it relies still on btc , and that’s what makes the btc hike. But since many new crypto have the capability of being traded to USD right away then they have no anymore need btc so that’s what causes the btc price to drop.What's left to hold are the btc-believers keeping firm the price. But let's just hope its never likely to happen.

There is very big in digital asset investment. Yes, bitcoin price fall to below $6000 is possible but bitcoin price can rise to more than $50000 is also possible. Even experts can't predict the price of bitcoin precisely. Bitcoin adoption is still growing so bitcoin still has good future. I am sure about this.

Bitcoin is not going to drop much moe so wait for a downward spike and buy during it then later see how much profit you nabbed. People always wanted a second chance not to miss an oppertunity and here is one and it is happening right now. Very possible. Bitcoin is a speculative asset, so its value could theoretically go anywhere. It could go from $6000 to $19000 in a few weeks and go from $19000 to $6000 the next few. We've experienced this first hand. Wild price swings go both ways.

That being said, I wouldn't panic. Nothing seems to be doing well right now with stocks also crashing. I have no idea what's going on, but I expect everything to recover sooner or later.

Bitcoin is here to stay. Even if these regulations etc. actually "outlaw" it (which is a pretty distant possibility), it'll still function. It should still exist as a project for the part of humanity which prides itself on the values of openness, innovation and hard work.

Its going below 6000 right as we speak. All this shit has happened in the past. It'll now take sometime for the "authorities" to make their first move. Till then, we have to stop looking at this from just the financial angle. Learn why we have such coordinated FUD. Ask yourself why you are willing to part with your investment in BTC, the moment a bad news comes.

Media, news has been used to influence our decisions for so long. Ask yourself why you bought in? If only for the money, then you shouldn't have invested more than you can afford to lose. Possibly those panic sellers nowadays really affected the price to went down that low, but if the crashing will have to continue drastically I think we will be experiencing lower than $6000. That would be a big disappointments for the long term holders, but no choice for now but to wait until such time the price will be back to profitable gaining performances in the marketplace.

Yes. Watch out below.  Using candlestick charting, the window that opened with the daily gap from $8000 to 9K and above closed these last couple of days. The $6000 price level was only tested once on the way up during optimism. Since the "traders" are looking for profit and protecting from losses even if there is a bounce another bunch of sellers will emerge. I think the sellers will out number buyers for a while. The traders do not have "earnings" to compare or P/E, or forward looking statements from CEOs of bitcoin. They need to protect all the money of the poor saps that traded their IRA retirement money, so there are more stop loss orders probably just below $6000. Learning from FOREX trading and stocks....if there is an order to be triggered at a significant level..it will happen. Hence the "Watch out below!"

Well, it looks like bitcoin is going for the $6000 mark pretty soon, probably by tomorrow. People on this forum were saying buy at 12K, buy at 11K. Then at 10k as it won't go lower. Then it went lower and they said buy at 8k as that's the bottom. Well, it went below 7k today and it's headed to 6k by tomorrow. Bitcoin has been falling 1000 points a day for the past 5 days. Doesn't look like there's a bottom yet. Now everyone is saying 5000 is it. There's a few more days left this week to see if 5000 is the bottom or not. Usually when a bubble bursts, the asset falls about 90% before leveling out.

Because I see this crash will be long, so I predict the bitcoin will still drop to the lowest point.

These whales mean business. Definitely 5000 and lower. But I think once the price is low, they will buy and then drive prices up. Until it's gets to another pesk, then the whole story would start again.

Now, according to CoinMarketCap, the bitcoin rate is 6 242 dollars. Therefore, it is possible that it will drop to $ 5,000. I'm not surprised by it. Quite likely it will go below $6000, but don't think below $5000. After last year's China ban, the price picked up with a couple of forks and the frenzy reached a point with Bitcoin futures, all the FOMO investors without any understanding of the technology joined in and with the decline, dumping process began and on top of that FUD from everywhere, Korea, India, China yet again. This is good, Bitcoin's price increase from $7000 - $19000 was highly inflated.

Bitcoin still have chance to go down and it's possibly for bitcoin to down until $4k. It guess we have to wait more longer until the bitcoin price recovers.

There's no special meaning to $6000 - it can easily fall through that level. For how low it could go look at the average price BTC traded from 2014 through 2016. Don't have an exact figure but $600-$700 seems like it would be a floor.

Yes it is the level which we dived into very hot but also don't forget that we came back online with huge market cap gain and thus followed prices were very huge. This has been always the nature of bitcoin and no can stop it from being dropping down to zero just in case if you guys are scared about it. Also, for the whole 6-7 years we saw bitcoin played around 1000 USD so its not big deal if we are going to that direction.

If it actually goes below 1k, but I'd say that just 3-4k would be enough, the whole cryptocurrencies market would be in serious troubles: back in 2013-14 very few people knew what a Bitcoin was, now almost everybody does, if it goes from 20k down to 1-2-3k who else would invest money in a thing that lost 90-95% of its value in a few weeks? Better expect more than that. With the way the price of bitcoin going down it looks like the slope doesn't even stop or go up a little bit. I think the turning point is around $5000. Not based on technical analysis but on a psychological course. I've read several times on different media that people are ready to buy if the BTC drops below $5000 = probably the turning point.

Volatility is one of bitcoin's characteristics. It may go as low as it was way back in 2009 for all we know so there's a huge possibility for it to fall lower than $6K. It's all in our hands especially in the whales' hands to make that happen because we are well aware that they can easily manipulate the price. well it dropped like 55~60 % since the beginning of 2018 so why doesn't it get lower and remember that bitcoin was 800$ worth on jan 2017 and that was a year ago and about bitcoin getting higher again i dont know if it will happen but all i hope that the price correction and the panic selling will stop soon

Well RSI has currently gone below 30, thats usualy a sign it will stabilise. BUT as someone pointed out, when a bubble pop's (this may be the popping) asset price can fall upto 90% which means we can see 2000's.

for people telling others not to sell, you're fooling yourselves. Seriously. I wrote a comment about 2 or 3 days ago when bitcoin was worth close to mid $7k then it went back to $8k about cutting losses. Look, you can sell your bitcoin, sell it. If it dips lower, buy more of it at a lower price. If you bought a house at $300k and houses in your neighborhood are now people ar ebuying houses that look like yours in your neighborhood for $50k, will you continue to pay that $300k mortgage? only a stupid person will.

Here's the real truth. You've lost loads of money and if you bought bitcoin at 19k, you've lost over 70% of your money and you own less assets of bitcoin. You could have more bitcoin by selling now and waiting for it to go lower. When will long term investors start to see that they lose so so much money on a virtual asset that's intangible? A word is enough for the wise. Sell it now, wait for the price to stabilize then re-enter the market. For those who don't own bitcoin, maybe for you this is the perfect opportunity to buy. Though that is a hypothesis, my instinct told me that the bitcoin will fall in the middle of the year but will rise up again and I was thinking that maybe it will hit a 20k US dollars. Yes it is possible, bitcoin does really came from this value before and it is normal if it will go back lower than 6k dollar. I also believe that the reason for its decrease is the chinese new year, maybe there are a lot of chinese people who are selling bitcoins in the market and that what makes the price decrease since 30% of the markets contributor came from china.

It is possible that we will see 5k numbers very soon oe even lower. Many traders are pushing it down. All the small inverstors got crushed/swallowed by whales. Most of the players left in the game got into cryptos over a year ago.

I think the last amount it will stick to is 5300$ according to me . The price has gone down due to news and banning and calling them illegal. People have got frightened and are selling out . One big problem is that are no hard numbers as orientation points in the bitcoin world. Nobody can say how many users we have or how bitcoin is distributed amongst the population.
That is why everything that has to do with price building is a big guess. And that is as well the reason that ups and downs can become a much wilder ride than with stocks for example.
I think as well that 6K might not be the end of the road. At the moment I don't see anything that would stop the down trend.

It's enough for the price of 6K$ and it will not be lower than that..I think in different situations definitely the traders do not want to drop the price under 6K$.. If it falls away will be difficult for them to recover the price and this will not grow btc in the future..

Yeah i agree, bitcoin can go down lower than $6000 because of the FUD created by government crackdowns and regulations of cryptocurrency exchanges but i think $5K will be the lowest it will go and then it bounce back. Everything will be back to normal again once this turmoil is over.

In my opinion, btc can touch 5k$ level and jump back. If BTC go bellow 5k$ it will be a really disaster: -75% from its high, damn! I think trend will change not soon, not earlier than at the middle of spring.

Bitcoin's price today is almost 6k usd and i think it will continue to fall. I really dont know the exact reason of this rapid price drop, but i think this is the best time for investors to buy bitcoins. Though the price drop is very alarming, im still positive that it will still rise.

Looking at the current market situation,it looks like it will go below $6k,the market is bleeding heavily and all of the alt coins too went down rapidly,i am not sure what is happening,but the banks have made this happen by blocking credit cards of investors and that might have triggered this sell off.

Bad news, bad rules, bad community questions. We all create our thoughts. All of us did think that growth will be permanent but it's not.

Lower $6000 is possible if the price will still not go up. Most possibly thing need to do now is to hold BTC not in hurry sell them. Bitcoin at $6,000 is still very possible given these different bad news coming including false ones like in Korea and China. Chinese banks want their government to impose stricter rules or maybe even banning it totally. I still believe bitcoin recovers though. Bitcoin did have lots of dips on its history but always recovers.

We can't say how dip the value can go thru since the fud still growing and the negativity coming from most government bodies really killing the chain, I think we just need to hold with our investment and keep spreading the good side of this system, if we will able to convince more people to invest and use bitcoin then we will see much earlier bounce back, or else we will wait for longer term as we just needed to accept that the correction will continue to proceed if there's new users / investors to embraced the system.

Considering in the space of two and a half  months we have managed to go from 5500 to 20000 and back to 6000, anything is possible. Nothing is impossible, really. With how much activity bitcoins have in just 1 day, it is possible for bitcoins to drop significantly  lower than $5000. So expect you'll probably get more red days on the coin market. A lot more people will sell. And a lot more whales will buy.

Actually i'm hoping for a lower price now to buy some more. Today's congress hearing is postponed to 14th of february and there, the chairman of Commodity Futures Trading Commission will make a plead that is more like an embracing of cryptocurrencies rather than bashing it. Plus Chinese new year is 16th february. This is when it usually starts going up.

It seems that the history is repeating itself. As it was in the autumn of 2017 when the chinese government intended to ban the crypto-exchange markets. Now people are afraid of the banning or the temporary closing the crypto-exchange markets in the South Korea which is about 25% of the global crypto-exchange market.

BTC is bouncing hard from low of $6000. Current bounce and volume look very healthy and will make another leg up around $7200 and it may face some minor correction around red circle area ($8300).

There is a possibility as the last known support for it was the 5800$ level which had happened November of last year. But don't think that it will head straight right there because as of now RSI is extremely oversold to add to is also the volume is decreasing. Every thing is possible in the crypto why because every thing is depend upon the demand and supply some time we have seen that with in a couple of minutes the bitcoin price goes high beyond the normal movements so we can say that it is not possible for me to predict now the actual position of bitcoin but we have to make some of the strategies of the price fall.
Ethereum is good to have for now we have to sold our Ethereum investment and to buy bitcoin because the prices are relatively less due to which we can afford the buying.

I think not support will be around 6000-6500 usd mark. As of today, all of the token seems to be going up and green candles are showing up. $7400 is not bad after a slump down to $6000, by the end the month I expect it to see nearing 10k again.

I do not see a real reason why the price should not be capable to drop below 6k. Two days ago we were already very close to that number. I suppose a few bad articles more in the media and we would have crossed that line. Luckily the support at 6K was stable this time. But this does not mean that next time it will be the same.

it is rather good news, for people who monitor the cryptocurrency market during several years. We all have got already used to year ending with awesome growth and in January, the period of holidays will bring us a usual correction. My advice for December 2018 is to convert all in fiat currency and restart at the beginning  of winter.

Yes my dear it is possible any price in bitcoins is possible since we don't know how much whales and other crypto related groups wants to happen in price. Many speculation that says it will go more below on it and im only waiting for it. We are a long way before a bull run.

Well it is not that high lose because it is increasing more with time. In few months you will see a great increase in price of bitcoin so then you will think that you were so lucky to buy bitcoin at 8k because at that time price of bitcoin will be more than this. It is still great opportunity for people to buy bitcoin at this price and hold as it is expected to increase the price at very high level again so in short you are lucky you bough bitcoin.

Theoretically it is, being that the nature of bitcoin is highly volatile, but come to think of it, this is just a part of bitcoin's value getting a correction, if we can still remember, way back in december, there were people who are not investors that came in to play, they have bought bitcoin at a higher price, and those who had bought if at lower price will normally just take profit, leaving the weak hands behind, thus a drop in the price of bitcoin, and now we are clearly seeing the correction in the market, and that's the reason why the price is not going up by 50% or going down by 50%.

Actually that doesn't really matter if you have faith on using bitcoin replacing your fiat for daily needs, even if the price to USD is decreasing, the amount of bitcoin you owns still the same. Just people still got prisoned into the reality that fiat is more important than bitcoin nowadays making speculative investment coming to bitcoin. I don't think that Bitcoin will come down that much, crypto market is always volatile but Bitcoin price to that down is actually not possible and if it comes down also there is no problem.
