There are a lot of newbie accounts starting threads and "claiming" things that I doubt really happened. This newbie "claims" to have bought on $19k on credit, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2889212.0

I wanted to console him in case he was real, then there was the other side of me who wanted to laugh at his face because he might be an alt account trolling. I will not take that risk though.  ;D

Upon checking it the price is till tact on $6,200 so there's no progress for now. Good thing that you have bough to the dip and this definitely is the dip for now. Let's wait until it comes back to $15,000 but selling at $7,200 is already a good profit to take out.
Everyday is already a mystery for the price for this season.

and that mystery makes bitcoin more interesting,because nobody knows what would happen for tomorrow,this coins has been in this dip for how many times,and yet coming back with a big vengeance,so i guess lets make this mystery to another history..for today the only thing we can do is hold.

This is what we should do now as the market has gone down enough. From  $20,000 to $6200 should be a perfect place to buy and I think it might not go down more than were it is today. Bitcoin fall below were it is today will means dump and most of those sell at this time are actually selling at loses except those that bought long time ago.

At the rate of $6200 buying is good if want to be in the crypto market then it is very good for become successful in this currency. The bitcoin prices is decreasing day by day but it will stop at some rate and then the price will again move to the up level there are so many other projects and E Businesses will start for the collection of bitcoin. As from many months i have adopted a strategy for the bitcoin and for the altcoin as well. that i have to do some of the investment in the Ethereum and Other new coins i have a good share in the profit for few months.

Those that buy now, very likely won't regret it at some moment the next months. Every bear market has its harsh crashes, but also some positive moments, like the well-known "dead cat bounces".

I think this downmove, however, will continue until the support at $5000 is tested. But those that chase the "bottom" will very likely miss it. So if you put your buy order on $5001, very likely the price will never go below $5200 ;)

I am buying too right now, I would like to buy under 4000, but last time that I was waiting for 100USD the bitcoin got to 150/175USD and not lower and I didnt get to my wanted price of 100USD. This time I am going to get in more early as 4000usd would be a really nice price but thats just too gridy. Just dont wait for the bottom or you will mis it.

It's going to be hard to continue this bear trend for long. Especially if we have seen basically 70% of bitcoin's value lost after just a couple months trading. And that's not even taking into account the fact that bitcoin has went down pretty much 50% within the recent weeks.

I think that people are getting real panicky here. Especially those that haven't been involved with crypto until the entire hype has started.

People have to start realizing that as long as cryptos exist, these sort of crashes are to be expected. But even with that said, I feel like that due to this panic and worrying of government regulations, bitcoin can be classified as being oversold at least in the short term. Should be able to get up to at least $7000-8000 if you're willing to make a short term trade.

In a "red day" like today it may seem crazy, but I expect at least $12000, but not in one single upmove.

It's biggest dump in Bitcoin price $20k-->6k. Very big difference of last three months. Now correct time to buy bit coin . Buy and hold it now selling is wrong end . Buy more coins will make high profit in long-term investment.

I managed to enter at slightly over $6100 which I am quite happy with. I am done with buying for now, unless we go down to very low $5000's. It's quite interesting to see how the market has been tanking day after day, and that while there isn't any reason to do so. Correction is all good, and it was clear that the market was heavily overbought at the time it peaked last year, but where the market exaggerates by reaching peaks it shouldn't reach, it also does so in regards to the bottom. In that regard, I am fairly sure (for what it's worth in current market) that the market is oversold at this point, and that it won't go down much further. Once people start realizing that too, we'll be up for $8000 at highest temporary point. There may still be a 10-15% downward potential, but it's pointless to risk waiting for something that might not even happen, so buying now is the best option.

if you now have issued everything you can buy, now you just do hold and mingkin this will not last long. I think the price will grow in this month and this may just wait for 2-3 weeks and there will probably be a price spike that may surprise the world. I have done what I can to buy bitcoin

What I have seen the last days is that every time we thought there was some kind of bottom, it took not long and the price decreased even more. I don't know what you call that in chart analyzing, but it is similar to a long row of small bull traps. Right now I still see that pattern intact.

If you want to buy then now is the time while still under 7k.  But if it goes up by 2k take out your original investment or at least some of it.  If you don't somebody else will and then crash again and you are left with a loss. 

I do not see the price difference as a dump but rather, a reaction of the market as a result of correction. Dump is when a coin loses its value maybe as a result of reneges from promises or goals. It loses faith in the investors , who then decides to sell off their unit. In the case of bitcoin, this is not so and its maximum supply still remains 21,000 000 million.

So far so good. I'm putting in a stoploss order close to my original entry so I can't lose on the trade anymore. Now hoping it will go to at least $7200. Let's see!

That amount is good to buy but we are not sure if it will continue to grow 'cause it seems the market nowadays is keep suffering  because of this fud news and i think we need more days Before to buy to assured that our profits is in the safe place  ..

it seems too difficult to increase more than $7200 because the price is only high at $6500 and then the price is down again but I still have faith to see bitcoin price increases again. maybe we need to wait until this middle of February and then the price could increase. gladly, I can buy bitcoin at $63xx and if the price is down again, I hope that I can buy more bitcoin later.

I never get how people 'miss'  their buy orders by a few bucks. Just look at your screen once in a fucking while and manually buy. Fuck.

when ever you can. It is better to buy for lower price, for the
same money you will get more Bitcoins.
   I am buying too, I am buying other coins too. If prices drop more
I will strengthen my position with more buying. That is how you
do things when you believe in something. It is the best to buy in dips
but you do not know when will dip be, at which price. I buy and buy
if I had luck ok, if not next time maybe.

Well I'm a professional trader since 1999 in the stockmarkets. I'm not an 'investor'. I do think bitcoin will eventually go much lower. But this $6200 was just a really nice long trade.

Target almost hit! I've dumped some already at $7100 and keeping the rest for a bit, probably trailing stop at $6800.

It might go (much) higher though, I don't know. If anyone's bullish I'd advice to keep the position and use a trailing stoploss (one you move higher if it goes higher)

If you did able to buy on $6200 price then you are up almost $1k on profits as of now which the price have bumped up into this range which I do somehow anticipated for this thing to happen since there is really a strong support on 6k range and yet it is being triggered on all buy orders on that range and now we are seeing a small pump on the price. Hopefully it would even rise further.Making some active trades on current wavy situation will really make money.

Not sure, it might have hit slightly below 6k on some. Coinmarketcap doesn't show anything below 6k though on the chart.

Wow mate the price has increased to $7,134 so are you planning to sell now? So you have almost $900 in profit. What are you going to do now? Are you satisfied with that profit? I guess we already reached the bottom and the strong support has appeared at $6200. If after few more days that bitcoin will go back to $9,000 and land there and becomes stable I assume that the crypto crisis was done already. But I know this will take time and still not sure if it will stay long.

It makes interesting for us who are staying but not for those who are buying the FUDs and starting to panic with their portfolios. We don't have an idea on what is waiting us tomorrow with bitcoin but I'll have the faith with bitcoin that in the near future it will start to resume its broken increase on $20,000. History repeats itself and that history will also be a mystery to those who sold early and doesn't have an idea on how its possible for bitcoin to recover.

You're on a profit right now dude. 6200 to 7.6k that's 1.4k profit if you bought 1 at its lowest price. And I would like to recommend a hodl at least at 10k. And surely you'll get so much profits. Or if you can hodl it onto 20-30k big profits. Your choice.

Don't be to greedy with the holds.  If you got in low then wait a bit longer then take some profit.  No point in leaving all the profit for the whales by holding on grimly while the price shoots up and then crashes.  Take a profit I think  must be the secret.

There is the possibility to drops so taking risks to buy. Buy atleast a portion that you can afford and wait for the btc to bounce back to increase. Taking risks to buy will lead you to have profit.

If you did what you said here, then kudos to you mate! It appears that the market is bouncing off of the 6k area and hopefully, this is not a bull trap anymore. People are saying that this is due to the "slightly" positive outcome from the senate hearing in US that happened today. Been also buying in the 6k area and hoping that I'm doing the right thing in this type of market that we have right now.  ;D Some of my friends are going all in now and doing balls deep trades. LOL

It looks like the price of bitcoin did not go beyond $6k and the market is recovering right now and the price have already crossed $7500,so those who invested in bitcoin when the price was down could make a good profit in a very short period of time and that is how bitcoin is and hopefully we wont see the price of bitcoin below $6k.

This time it is very reasonable to buy Bitcoin because the average exchange rate is currently $ 7700 according to CoinMarketCap. It expected that in the next few days the exchange rate will continue to rise to $ 10,000 before falling back to $ 6,000 by the Chinese New Year.

SonoCoin,  you're a little late and you should have buy when the was at $6200. Price range because the market correction is over and it will be better if you buy now.

yeah, the price now reaches $7k and it is good for me because I can make a profit around $900 if I sell right now but I think I want to wait again until the price is more than $8k and then maybe I will sell it some fraction of my bitcoin. it is nice to see the market now is on green and I think if this condition is like this, maybe we could reach more high in next week.

People those who waited to fall more below 6k would need to wait for ever now as prices have recovered well and already now at 7500$. Those who made the smart move to buy in 6k range would benefit more as the prices will keep rising and in coming time even will cross 10k and easily gains will be made by the investor.

Okay now! This is the kind of spirit that I love the most. I am already picking little of the prices gradually for a long position and if it drops lower, I will even go all in at once without bothering what happens afterwards. My target right now is $5500 and I really hope it does. We are close to 8.000$ mark. Opportunity for buying under 10k is always good, I didn't think that we will see bitcoin price so low again, but when its here people should use this situation as advantage. If op bought yesterday at 6.200$ he is in nice profit already. I'm reading that all February will be like bumpy road for bitcoin, nobody can't say will we see price going down more, now everything is possible. I'm saying that we need to survive this February and thing's will start to go straight up, just a little more, February is the shortest month.

Go and buy. Dips as massive as this is so rare. If you do bought some at around 6000 usd mark you should have gain an easy profit by now. Also it seems that Bitcoin's price is now on the green side snd definitely recovery soon.

I think traders who managed to bought bitcoin at $6200 USD have got themselves a very good deal, I have bought some bitcoins at around $8000 USD level, and I guess I would be stuck with it for some time before I can sell all my bitcoins away, it is time to hold again.

I hope this isn't a bulltrap since I don't see why price could reach up to $8k within such a short span of time without a single good news.

Yes, the US Senate Hearing really bring back the full confidence of crypto that why we are in the bullish sentiments today. I don't know why you guys see it as a bull trap, a bull trap doesn't gain 23% overnight, it only last 2-3 days with minimal gains before another sell off ensures. If this is not enough indication that we are recovering, then I can't think of other reasons.

Buying at $6000 was a good call, but I think it is only for short term traders since I doubt that we can sustain the upmove without any kind of good news.

US gov comitee's output is good news. Lightning network adoption is good news. China New year's soon ending is good news.

6200 was defintely a good call hope you got a good number of coins but knowing how cryptos perform this should have been considered a low risk investment because what happens is even if a long time hodler dumps their coins a new one will emerge...which means the cylcle of demand is restored. Now we aiming to see 10000 dollars by the end of the week.

A good choice buying $6000 but some good news already happen. Hopefully we can see a continues moving up of the price. I'd rather hold bitcoin because of some good news.

Forget about all the news you are hearing bro, just stick to the charts if you want to stay long. This is the best position to buy and if it goes down further it won’t last and the rush may be fast. Weak hands are dying out and what I am seeing now is traders seeing a chance to refuel and I would rather be on that lane than the lane of those who are still waiting for the best lows right now. Margins are good enough for me and even if it does not get even lower, I am still good with my stash right now.

However, I do not think a reasonable person will buy at the top with credit and even if he actually did, he should have been able to understand by now that this is normal. However I noticed, that in different sources people "predict" huge drops by April. As huge as 1000. Nobody says why though.

;D Same here bro! I am really going to be pitying those who will end up missing this chance right now. Some big players obviously as I am seeing it have entered this market and they are going to be driving this market up so much than we can all imagine. Luckily for me, my buy order hit at $6000, I had some too set for $5200 just in case, but unfortunately, I do not expect to see us getting that low right now. However, it is just few percentage, so I can still hold it longer to see how the market moves before finally going all in. So many good news on its way right now.

Maybe you didn't see its coming or didn't see the downtrend and I hope you just partially buy in those prices.
And maybe you should be following some social media pages so you'll be updated where the prices going or is it the best time to sell nor buy. I also believe in speculations however I still filter what I believe because not everything is true.

Good thing you have bought it at a lower price. I didn't even know it went below 7,000$ when i decided not to visit crypto markets anymore as part of my HODLing scheme. And on top of that, i didn't visit crypto market because it'll just hurt that you don't have money to invest more when it's price is cheap.

My strategy is full hodling 70% of my total btc and try to gain profit with the other 30% in order to buy more btc. Accumulation is the true hodling.

Excellent and that would be the best thing to do since theirs something good will be happen on future and you will be lucky for keeping your patience in bitcoins. But you should spot the right trades and try to be more active since short time trades need attention since you will able to lose with it if you cannot attain to watch your trades on time to time basis.

It is surprising to know that a lot of investors already know that what the institutions are doing is to just shake off weak hands all the time, to have a better long position in the market ? Come on!

In fact that is what is going to even get this market sweeter to trade in the long run while the so called weak hands wallow in self-pity.

Check out the trends, the institutions dump their holdings, shake the market with negative news, until there is no weak hand to shake anymore, and then they buy back far lower and then we start hearing some positive news. It is like a movie no early investor should miss because bitcoin and the whole cryptocurrency at large is going big.

Bitcoin is good to buy now because the market value of the bitcoin is rising the people have interest in the bitcoin price and those who have bitcoin they are using many other good jobs to earn some more bitcoin in the future. as the time show the good time of the bitcoin like now we have seen that the bitcoin price were $4000 then the prices rising and finally hit the 20k in the last month of the year 2017 so we should not lose hope and we have to try more for the bitcoin to work for it and to be in the crypto and it is a regular job for through this i can offer my services and i am doing another job for the bitcoin earning.

Waiting for 6.2k to buy is a good idea.  I will buy at the price maybe.  Because it will go up from that.  I keep waiting for it to go low to get a great bargain.

I don't think you'll get further chances to bargain and buy at $6.2k, because the price has started to grow forward stabilizing above $8000 with minor fluctuations. This time the growth will continue and so who has got plans to buy cam make it happen right now than leaving the opportunity to buy at lower price.

$6200 is good price to buy bitcoin. you are intelligent investor. because so many people have fear of price drop and they do most common mistake here. what they do is instead of buying they are selling their BTC. price drop and price rise is common things in crypto world.

price drop and price rise is the way of making money you just have use it properly. it's all about timing. when to buy it and when to sell it can be describe your ability in crypto world.

so we need to buy for that amount if that happens for the benefit of the both of us, first we will have a potential gain and second is that you are also helping the bitcoin community as you are adding on the demand and other people are encouraging to invest more whenever they are seeing that the price is increasing.

The bears have exhausted their selling power and bulls are working on it to take over. I personally think that we have already reached the bottom price at $6k. Institutions are buying large volumes of BTC discreetly during this accumulation stage which could cause a mini selloff at $9k price level resulting to a downtrend to a support level of $7.5k which is a good price level to buy if you are aiming for long term.

I think it's more a matter of people coming to sense rather than bulls taking over. The market was oversold, and people were still selling like there was no tomorrow. Seriously, one must be madly dumb to sell his coins at any price below the $10k level, and that's a fact -- the only thing you're supposed to do at such levels is buying. It doesn't matter if you can just afford to buy with $100, or if you're a high roller with $100k, just make sure you put your money to work in an efficient and profitable manner. I don't expect a major recovery at all honestly speaking, but we should be able to try and kiss the $10k level at the very least. What happens after that remains to be seen....
