Aw that is nice post for the motivation purpose I believe and we do need such posts only because the others are creating FUD everywhere and everyone is panicked about the fall of bitcoin. Its predefined that if we wait in the crypto then we win the situation always and can get the things done shortly. The profits can always be made in the crypto if we are making the progress at right side and that always takes time.

This is no first time we are seeing such falls so why to worry anyway. Investors are not going anywhere it is just that they are not daring at this point to invest into it and make the investment in right direction. Once the storm goes away we might just lots of people investing into it an thus we making the huge profits.

I already know that as a trader it is hard to bear but after it once again we will see bitcoin in a highest price. Now it is big dump, it mean it is a sign to big pump and that will our time. So just hold the coins, and wait for a good time. Also it is good time for some investors who miss the chance to buy the bitcoin in last year.     

i have been answering too many thread of discouragement this days,those post caming from the trolls to create fuds and panicking and to cause market collapse..but i know they wont win in this battle,at the end of the day,its us who will celebrate..

Lets spread the words to anyone that has same feeling now,let's motivate them to pursue the goal upon holding..that tomorrow if bitcoin regains its power we will reached the $30,000 target.and this wont be long i a, pretty sure sooner it will

That is what i have also experienced personally in past years, the cryptochrrency market is absolutely occuring in cycles, i agree 100% with your post. A real trader knows how to deal during these down trends occurrrence, however  i doubt newbies or less knowledge keeping people will lose their coins by panic selling

It's really hard to look at the value of bitcoin right now. But Im still holding my btc, I still believe that btc will recover from the fall. Well we can't tell anyone what to do with their investment (to hold or to sell) it is still anyone's own decision. But as for me I will still wait for the high value.

Yes, I will never sell for a loss. And I am willingly to wait for the market to recover before selling anything that could make me lose my funds.

Just hodling and not selling are not always the best answers. Yes, in most cases, it is better to hodl, but if u really believe the market will dip further than it is right now, it's better to sell and buy at the dip. This is very difficult to do, but doing it correctly can be very profitable, and is really the only way to make a profit in a bear market.

@Hedda Gabler try not to type full on caps,it is really irritating to the eye,if you had a good deal,good for you,i did not know that NEO is not having fees and how does that work,what ever, i am sure the market will recover,if you look at the stock market,everything is bleeding,so no complaints,just hold to your coins and wait for the market to recover.

My advice is simply that they should wait for when the price of Bitcoin will go back up, cause if they withdraw their money now, they will lose it forever. You might withdraw it now and create opportunity for whales to invest at cheaper rate like someone said in the forum, and when you might want to invest back it might be too late for you by then. So wait for price to go up, and also stop wasting money unnecessarily.

You have said my mind "you lost the time don't loss the game". The current bearish market create another opportunity for new whales to be form as new investors are taking the advantages of cheap prices to get bitcoin. We should know that this pattern has repeated itself several times and the next pump is going to create greater impact than the formal. The ban was a FUD created by China and south Korea financial regulators in other to bring bitcoin price down for them to buy at cheap price and this game has been on.

Agree with you but we have different opinion about what should we do at this moment. Most people will say " hold " because they don't want lost to much coin value but some people decides to cut loss their position to safe their asset. They will wait and start again when ready. I believe there's only two option we have but we know what the best for us. Thank you so much.

Anyway, The best way to do when you encounter negative profit is a case to case basis on when you bought that particular coin. For example. If you bought on the peak price and suddenly the price dump 5-10% due to FUD, It is better to cut loss because it is still early. You can buy back again once the price reach the floor. But if you are late and loss almos 50% of your capital then that is the best time to hold since selling will not gonna give you any chance to regain your loss.

yes kep holding bitcoins along with alcoins will make new high in 2018 itself.....

I think it is a good idea to sell at this point, as btcoin prices are showing signs of recovery, but the buying power is not large and is leveling off at $ 8200. That suggests that bitcoin prices may continue to drop at any time when the $ 8200 mark breaks. So I think you should sell right now instead of keeping the price up.

I agree. The only people who have some reason to consider selling are those who are in the plus, having bought their BTCs when they were really cheap. Perhaps they like some profit taking even at reduced rates from ATH. But people who are in a minus should hold until they will be in a plus again - that's the only way not to lose money. But it may take time - patience is required.

Sometimes that may be going to opposite way too.  ;)

The cycles happen and its also seen in other markets not restricted to crypto. Similar phenomena occurs in stock market as well. What should be done is buy at the dip and sell at the rise or you can buy at the dip and keep stockpiling and hodling till one day you dump all at profitable rate.

Yeah,you are right.we just lost the time but we will make that profit sooner or later but definitely we will make it if we hold our coins.But many new investors are just sell their coins due to panic which is created by the FUDs.BUt I think now people are started to hold their coins since the number of unconfirmed transaction in blockchain network is just under 10K.

They are going to sell, you cannot help them because they want to make money very quick without pain, patient. It is impossible in the planet. For every gain, there is a cost you need to pay.

I agree completely with the author's post. Now you just have to wait and not sell your coins. Correction ends. After correction, there will be growth. Negative news about bitcoin ended. And this means that all coins should be restored and go to growth.

Yes l have loss because of price decrease,so l have to hold my coins now and wait for the coming price increase.l know this is very hard time to wait because it takes too long for the price decrease. Its really difficult to bet our coins. But my hope is still alive and ready to wait for the price increase. i generally disagree with this type of advice because it is usually a terrible advice to give anyone and when you are posting it in a trading discussion board then you are posting a nonsense!

in trading you should NEVER hold something that is dropping. trading is not like invest and HODL. you should always move your money around and make profit on it. otherwise you are a loser. the constant action is what brings profit to a trader not holding, specially if you are holding something that is dropping hard.

for example in the past couple of days altcoins lost a lot of value. selling meant you had your money back in your hands ready to re-invest. when the recovery started you could have made everything you lost back and make a lot of profit. but if you held you just made some of what you lost back and still have a long way to go.

Yes its still anyone decision if they want to sell or to hold. And o agree to that bitcoin value is falling the better to do are hold it and wait for the bitcoin increase the value. If you can hold it a long term then you can do it again to wait that bitcoin will recover soon.

Take the calm and sell the crypto in the moment you will regret the psychology of investors often will not buy the altcoin that he sold. Not a bad advice, but it is going to be almost impossible to apply for a newbie at trading, just think about it, they did not had any experience and bought bitcoin at some high point and now they are losing more than half of their investment after a few days or weeks, it is very clear they are demoralized an holding bitcoin becomes more painful everyday, so I do not think they are going to follow the advice even if they understand is in their best interests.

Your advice may sound good. But, can you imagine if the person who takes your advice will loose even more in the future? We are not supposed to place our self as financial advisors. I would suggest you to improve your advising strategy to something like "technical overview or experience based on the trading you have done" or something like "technical analysis" by doing that you are free from being accused as bad influencer.

actually to say do not sell it is difficult while prices continue to fall and panic and some bad news is out, it is the main cause why something as simple as HOLD is more difficult to do.
but indeed, all that takes strategy, if it is already to sell, then better buyback for take profit at a later time

In my experience every time I have sold at a loss in cryptos the money was gone, every time I have been holding, sooner or later (sometimes years later) the prices went up again and I have got back my money and more. So, empirical evidence so far has proved that to hold pays out better than to sell with a loss. If you have time.

Absolutely now they have only option of relaxing and cooling their minds. Without being panicked they wouldn’t be taking the control of future. For better results in future they must understand the market that it is re-growing. Bitcoins price charts are again reviving. So good news will be there for you just wait for 2 or 3 weeks more. Almost everyone have experienced this one way or the other and eventually we all get to know that panicking does not pay at all. Markets are meant to have both downtrends and uptrends. Sure, we all love the uptrends, but it is just like life, there would be some challenges and obstacles, but that does not change any fact that, an uptrend will have its time, and then we will get to have good time within those periods.

What are you telling is true if your first plan is really for investment. But if you're trader first on hand and you lost 50% of your portfolio I think there's something wrong with your trading plan exit strategy. 15% lose in the portfolio is so much to bear as a trader.

 I think the cut lose should be set at 10% minimum and 15% maximum to maintain overall standing for the year. But of course this strategy vary depending on risk appetite of the trader or investors. Besides no perfect trading plan out there in the market what We only have is our personal experience.

That is definitely a very strong word and we always have to keep in mind. Never sell if you do not get the profit yet, and never sell when the price is currently down. If you are a short-term trader or daytrader, then I do not know anything about that. But if you are a long-term trader or long-term investor, then I am sure you already know and understand what I am saying. For those people who already know Bitcoin for about 5 years, will definitely not worry about this current price change and up and down. I fully agree with the author of the topic. If your deposit is in the red, then do not sell. Especially now, when the correction is already over. And after correction, growth will begin. You can sell only at the beginning of the correction, when you have a minus about 5-10%. And then, when the price reaches the bottom, you need to buy again. This way you can increase the number of your coins.

learnt my lessons few years back as an investor that as long as you are holding a good coin and you believe in it, then hold. They will always do fine in the long run and you will be so surprise the level they will get than when you sell them.

Unless you are a trader who will always be monitoring the charts and obviously would have sold at the top and buy back at dip, there is no need to worry as an investor. The market will recover, even get better than before and you will be smiling.

If you have the experience and enough knowledge about the system of bitcoin this is quite noticeable but in reality traders are more likely to focus on the trends compare to investors who come up to bitcoin with a vision to earn and to gain profit and sometimes they do it without a proper education about the given bitcoin system.

Just apply the general rule sell only at high cost. Based on experience it is really stressful seeing our investments at loss thats why i do keep holding and wait till my investments earn enough before i would panic selling. Risk tolerance is the most important thing we should possess because if we are not a risk taker we might end up at loss.

Nice one seeing some post like this popping up to give the newbies some hope. There is nothing that is happening now that has never happened before. At the end of it all, those who hold even in the dips are always the ones who usually enjoy the benefits the most.

Sometimes its just better to sell them at short term. Not every ICO is going to be the next ethereum and not every ICO is going to be legit. Be hyper alert for the trend turning, don't just assume that things will be like they were.
