It is still disappointing to only see 4! nodes in Japan.

Japanese people could be very much attracted by bitcoin, particularly investors, who don't see strong stock market devleopments in their domestic market.

It seems not a lot of trading os going on on JPY/BTC neither.

for now Bitcoin has become increasingly popular and some people have used Bitcoin as a side job or to get extra money. I think maybe all people in this world have made Bitcoin as a part of their lives. so far the development of Bitcoin has increaslyng good and some people already have Bitcoin or buy it. yeah Bitcoin users are getting more and more now.

By "using" ..do you mean to ask, if people are "using" bitcoins now OR how many people own bitcoins?

I am still using bitcoins on a daily basis, because it is cheap now to buy it back. You do not have to stop using bitcoins, because the price dropped. <Just make sure you keep on buying back some bitcoins at the lower price>  ;)

As for the question on how many people owns bitcoins, well that is not a question that can be answered, because Bitcoin owners are pseudo anonymous and it is impossible to count people, if you do not know who they are.  ::)

I can't find out for sure how many are using bitcoin, but at least many people want bitcoin to grow big.
Many have bitcoin to be held in the long term and many use bitcoin to trade.

we can not count how many people are with bitcoin because everyone who wants to invest in it can be important to earn a great deal and because bitcoin is so famous so more investors invest in it so we will not know how many have bitcoin today.

I doubt that the exact number can be known or proved. Even if it is known at a point (which is impossible) at the next day, either it will be reduced or it will increase. I don't really see the need to know because of the fluctuating number of users. Is also like asking how many people are using fiat...

Certainly very much. We cannot calculate the exact number of holders and users of bitcoin at this time. Countries such as the United States, China and South Korea are the countries that invest the most money for bitcoin. Their population is millions of people. But maybe if predicted in 2024, bitcoin users reach 200 million people worldwide

I don't think anyone knows for sure how many people have used bitcoin, but I am sure that from year to year bitcoin users will increase because there are many social media advertisements that make people curious and want to try it. Some even have proven the success of bitcoin.

I agree. Time will probably come that there will be more people who will be using bitcoin. We can say that time will come, everyone will be using it. It might not be today but tomorrow. Soon. This needs a process therefore we can wait for it to happen. Everything about bitcoin will be known worldwide.

This is impossible to know. In the last months there have been around 400k-500k unique addresses used so that can tell you that less than that number are actively using bitcoin. But there are many coins in cold storage that have been untouched for a long time. I would speculate the true number is a few millions.

It is impossible to know completely. But there are some websites and they calculate some statistics. And they know how many wallet has a BTC. But someone can have more than one wallet. And no one knows real number who has how many wallet.

If only you can tell me how many people have dollar in their pocket then you can tell me how many have bitcoin too, you can't get answer for that question no matter what and if any one try to analysis the figure tell them am not confuse.

Cryptocurrency and bitcoin already spread all over the world I think many people already have it but I do not have any idea what is the exact number of people who have it. my guess would be, if there are 1 million subscribers on reddit and let's say double that or triple that don't follow reddit then it's like 3-5 million people own bitcoin.

The last statistical analysis put it to be  one percent of the world population own and use bitcoin, but I think the number might have increase by now as more and more people are getting to adopt bitcoin as their secondary currency and enjoying the total financial freedom that decentralization has to offers.

No chance to discover that information. Who knows how many wallets each person has? Even if there would be a rough estimation on the number of wallets, there's no possibility to count the real number of people who that wallets belong to.

Maybe more than tens of thousands of people out there have bitcoin and only a few have enough bitcoin and we usually refer to them as popes. It will be more difficult to guess because every day there is a demand for bitcoin transactions in exchange, so that bitcoin continues to move from one hand to another.

I think that currently, we can only take the measure of localbitcoin as an example, and if I'm not mistaken  in Venezuela we were seeing a million users, maybe not much for a population of 30million, but is a lot compared to other similar technologies, surely I think there are more users of btc than PayPal in Venezuela right now.

I agreed with what you said about knowing the total number of people which have bitcoin this days because the number have increased as of last year but we can still predict the number base on the result of the past bitcoin user record in the year 2016 which was  5.5 million and I think almost 20% of the world population now have bitcoin.

Intelligent People are holding their investment and waiting for good time but panic people are selling the coins and smart investors are buy that coins at very low price and it make the big profit in future.

Most people have dropped because of the btc price drop, the number of users is getting smaller, but there are still people who are holding and waiting for the btc price to rise to profit, some analyzes suggest that btc has very little use by people and that they are less and less performing transactions

I feel as though a figure of 20% of world population is a wild over estimation. I suspect it's 1% or less. I think it's only something around 50% of the world population even have access to a computer. 1 in 5 people that I know are definitely not invested in to bitcoin and most people are know have a decent level of disposable income, a background in computing or finance, easy access to the internet.

Many people use centralized wallets, exchanges or payment platforms that combine all means into a certain number of large wallets or cryptocurrency addresses, which further complicates the situation. The exact number of people using cryptocurrency cannot be determined.

There is no definite answer to that question. I think they need to conduct a survey to know how many people are using bitcoin around the world.

Day by day the number of people who have bitcoin is increasing and I think it will continue on increasing because many people started to get interested in cryptocurrency especially in bitcoin. We all know that bitcoin has limited supply of 21 million and do you think every individual may be have any amount of bitcoin?

I think it's way pretty difficulty to tell how many users of bitcoin, since there are various bitcoin wallet provider, and some are not even known. I think if all of the bitcoin wallet providers can be compiled worldwide, this should give us a rough estimate of bitcoin users, mind you, some may have multiple accounts for security, so at the end we will just get estimated values.

It is simply impossible to calculate all the IP addresses and therefore the number of people who own bitcoin.. Some people own huge amounts and some small shares of bitcoin and they are constantly moving, so it's just unrealistic.

Surveys may be created, but Bitcoin owners will participate in the survey? Most people who own Bitcoin because of wanting to anonymously their property, so this is not possible, they will never participate in the survey.

Hardly anyone would tell the exact number. You might look through some sites for the statistics on the number of BTC in one wallet but one person can have many of them.

In my opinion, it is very difficult for us Bitcoin users to be able to predict in detail how many Bitcoin users today, but I am sure the number will increase as each country legalizes this digital currency technology so that people's interest will be higher to adopt Bitcoin.

Quite a lot if people are in possession of Bitcoin irrespective of the quality and only a few, mostly referred to as Whales, possess quite a lot of Bitcoin.

The amount of people that actually own btc is still a very small percentage.  I still consider this the early adopter phase.  I'm the only one in my entire family and group of friends that even owns cryptocurrency.  I know a lot of people think it's too late to invest in bitcoin but we still have a lot of room to grow.

I think there are many people who already know and use bitcoin. There are also things that depend on bitcoin income, bitcoin has become famous in many countries so many people from around the world are interested in using it.

There is a difference between those people who know about the existence of Bitcoin, those who own it and those who use it.

I think most of the people are selling there BTC right now because the value of like that we don't have any other choices to survive in this field that's why they are selling their investment like this so I think many people don't have Bitcoin investment right now.

I am quite astonished of how it evolved and I do wish that it grows more, I know that we are having a quite upsetting year end for BTC, but one thing I wish is that the price would at least go high before the year even ends.

It is difficult to answer this question, even probably unrealistic. Bitcoin network is anonymous and there are no statistics, but I think that a lot of people use bitcoin.

Fell in the market happens because people sell btc. If everyone in the market do not sell then market will rise only as the demand for buying will rise and as nobody is selling to buyer will be ready to pay high price too for the coin. This people do not understand and they make losses.

I think the important thing is not how many people own Bitcoin. There is a Gini coefficient in the economy. This coefficient shows the justice in income distribution in a country.
We could do the same thing about Bitcoin. What is the distribution of bitcoin number? What is important is the percentage distribution of the number found in Bitcoin wallets.

I think it is hard to determine how many people having btc. I think only the system knows it. Assuming it has many users, it can really help bitcoin value increase because it also based on tge number of people having or investing it.

The amount of people that actually own bitcoin is still a very small percentage of the population.  I'm the only person in my group of friends and family that even owns any cryptocurrency, I tried to get them more involved but they weren't really interested.  We definitely have a long way to go towards full adoption.

The topic started nearly 8 years ago and the bitcoin price were just $1 and not so many people were using it.. When i read the subject i didn't think this was that old.. Today as far as i know there are almost 22 million bitcoin wallets created so far and the leading exchange Coinbase has over 13 million users now.

It depends on the country who has bitcoin owners. here in the Philippines, many individuals and businessmen are supporting bitcoin especially Millenials because many of us are self-support individuals and many of us are supporting their education through investments. many of us are open to investments and willing to learn and more. so, I do believe that here in Philippines re fully supported to bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

I think that the exact number would be very hard to tell, if not impossibe. Here in community we have the idea that many people are using Bitcoin but in fact the estimated number is not that big. I've read somwhere that some research has been done and that the number of about 2 million people came up. Having in mind the overall population, this is not a big number.
But like I've said it's very hard to tell because I think this number is constsntly changing.

Bitcoin has become popular now. Most people around the world are now using Bitcoin. People are financially benefited by using this precious Bitcoin. Finally, almost all people in the world now have Bitcoin.

That was one of the tough questions I've ever heard in bitcoin. We can't really say the accurate number or percentage of the people who uses it or those who have bitcoin however we are certain that the population of it is increasing day by day. New people are now interested to try it on and to possess some of it.

I read before that if you have 15 BITCOIN then you are only few in the list or less than 15 percent of wallet.

Hard to say. This number is constantly changing. Now most likely in a big way. It can be assumed that the strength of those who have Bitcoin (or use it) will increase every year. After universal implementation in everyday life, this number will be even greater.

It must be hard to say because in the first place bitcoin is decentralized. We will not know how many hold bitcoin honestly.. oh wait, how about the current number of addresses created? Can it be extracted from the ledger?

We cannot count the number of people who have bitcoins since a person can have two or more wallets. There are no specific data also that tells that a certain person has bitcoin wallet since it is anonymous.  If we are going to have statistics then we can say 1/4 of the people has knowledge in bitcoin and 50% of it are the one who have bitcoin. Therefore, bitcoin is not yet popular to the whole world.

I don't think there's any consensus covering the number of people who have Bitcoin. Even if the wallets and the different addresses in exchanges are to be counted, it won't represent the real number because a number of people have multiple wallets.

It is difficult to find out how many people reserve bitcoin.but I think maximum investors,traders Holding bitcoin as in cheaper time. i have 10 BTC .

It can just be easy to know how many people have btc but the fact is that a lot have sold out per reason of recent drop in prices but despite that fact there are still alot of folks and brethen who have not given up but rather beholds a glorious futue for bitcoin so they have never given up or sold them.

I do think, that for now, as the years goes by from the current crypro currency community, there are lots of people now that are using Bitcoin. Honestly, I don't have the idea on the exact or even estimated count of the number of Bitcoin users. But all I know now is that there are lots of Bitcoin and crypto currency users as of now.

I do not think anybody can guess about this. That's how many people have Bitcoin near. Because every day many people are joining Bitcoin. And earning money. So everyone can guess only.

At present only 5% population around the world might be holding bitcoin or own bitcoin. This is simply a big number compared to the past years. Because, right now more and more people getting into the cryptocurrency understanding the need of such a virtual currency and overcome the flaws happening through the centralized system.

I just found out last year what Bitcoin is. There few of us in my place and from the people I know that is knowledgeable about this technology. Through introducing Wallet like Coins.pH and Hodler wallet for more secure storage, it becomes easy for everyone I know how they will get involved with the community of Crypto. This only mean that Bitcoin is still not yet in the mainstream and onky few are really into it. Imagine if larger population will be involve, this woukd mean greater value in the future.

Right I agree in your opinion we don't know how many people using bitcoin all over the world all I know bitcoin is very popular and more people wanted to join here, cause bitcoin is famous and more investor's invest here and want to earn more profit. And it's hard to know the exact number on how many people invest in bitcoin. 

if asked how many people who have crypto or bitcoin are certainly a lot. because many people now invest in the world of bitcoin. but if you only join and don't know how to invest, you won't get bitcoin.

in my opinion a lot but it's not easy to get and want to have bitcoin because now bitcoin is restricted and not many can have bitcoin and continue to benefit

So I think it's hard to tell how many people are holding btc. Just like you askin how many people are using a debit or credit card.

we cannot exactly  count in numbers. Since there is no tracking or centralized domain managing the usage. There are few countries approved the use of BTC but still there are countries not legalized BTC. But what we can see is if the person earning profit through crypto means he can have few BTC. But

From the time I started using bitcoin, I think bitcoin users are just few. As time goes by, users of bitcoin are getting higher and higher. The only thing I do not want when its users became high, I am seeing many posts from socail media that says bitcoin is a scam. In fact, bitcoin is not a scam. It is very hard to count that how many people are using bitcoin and how many people are investing because there are allot of countries that has millions of people who buy and investing in bitcoin. But we cannot count them in number. I think in entire world almost 99 percent of people are using it and making investments.

Every day new and new users are entering the bitcoin community and we will not be able to know who acquire and how much each person holds, eventhough the price of bitcoins is fluctuating the market will start to recover soon with a huge bang which can bring a  breakthrough for all the bitcoin holders.
