Title: Coinomi Good To Use?
Post by: akamit on February 10, 2018, 08:08:04 PM
Hi guys,
I just installed Coinomi to use for one of my altcoin.
But before transferring my altcoin to coinomi wallet, I would like to confirm it is legit and doesn't have any issues.

As I'm little bit skeptical, that's why created this thread. Though I have searched for recent news and couldn't found one.

I will lock this thread as soon as someone confirms its legitimacy.

P.s. Not sure if it is the right board or not, as there is no mobile wallet board. I will move if someone provides objection.

It is one of the more popular mobile crypto apps nowadays, which I am using as well. I personally only use it to sweep old private keys containing whatever shitfork coins, and have them converted to Bitcoin through ShapeShift. You can also choose to use Changelly, which does exactly the same, but due to the scam accusations against them, and the massive number of complaints, I recommend all people to stay away from Changelly. Make sure you write the recovery seed on a piece of paper to guarantee yourself access to your funds at all times.

I googled a bit trying to find a negative review for it, didn't find one. I see it is among the most widely used wallet in the group of people who prefer mobile wallets and apps when using bitcoin. Personally I am pro only for desktop and hardware wallets but anyone have their own preferences. Overall a legit one so far.
