As far as I'm concerned, it's more profitable to buy coins (tokens) at the pre-sale stage. Or after the coins come on the stock exchange and fall in price, as happens in most cases.

Presale is to expensive - 1BTC per unknown MN developed from Mutual coin where main developer abandon all with his small greed and left community, than few super users take over and now they want to make worth their staking of old MUT by setting the price initial high which is normal, but why would anyone normal want to buy unlucky takeover coin in swap period for 1BTC and there is still billion or more waiting on CM exchange when they come back promising to drop price further.
Cryptopia wil never list coin like this, not even for 15-20 btc they ask now - they denied more serious coins in past 3 months and don't want more upcoming drama for sure.

I understand that initial Mutual holders wanna cash out and that is normal - but i suggest to all new users to pass it for now and see realistic price when and if they list on small exchanges.

Site is not up, whitepaper is not existing, purpose of coin is not existing to last 2 months not 10 years, and if you hang just on fact that somebody will develop mobile app - that is not a purpose because there are lots of apps already there doing nothing.

The roots and base from this coin is not healty and story must be much much much serious to attract new users and not just old holders to cash out.

What happens if CM comes back (doubtful) and all these people swap and dump the price?

Why not set a swap deadline or something?

It sucks they have coins stuck on the exchange, but new investors should not have to run the risk of their coins dropping severely in value because people don't know how to follow basic crypto security standards and not leave large sums of coins on a ghetto exchange that looked like it could collapse into the sunset at any time . . which it did.

I had a long convo on the Discord with someone who held similar views.

I like some of the team. I'm a fan of Mocho. But imo price is too much for the risk of a bunch of MUT whales to swap and/or CM coming back and a bunch of people swapping and dumping.

It's within the realm of possibility.

I get wanting to preserve MUT holders, but don't ostracize the new money coming in, not when you are asking for 1 btc per MN.

Just some thoughts. I'lll be watching this project. And might pick some up after it gets dumped . . no offense.  ;D

After a community vote whether to continue with the presale before the official wallet release, the decision was made to delay the presale till the wallet is 100% ready and officially released.

Can't find the whitepaper. There is also none in the mini roadmap. What is the future of this coin? What will it be its main focus? Features?

For the sake of transparancy, these are questions that need to be answered.

There are many noobs in this space who do not understand how swaps, pre-sales, pre-mines, lack of github, explorer, an exchange most likely exit scamming while holding a shit load of MUT, and all the implications that ensue from this post and the two I wrote above it . .

What is to prevent Coinsmarkets workers from swapping to ARION themselves?  MUT is indeed worthless. It would make sense that whoever is in control of all those MUT coins on Coinsmarkets would want to swap . . wouldn't you want to if you had all those coins?

I am not trying to be an ass. But this is serious when there is a lot of BTC at stake that the team will receive, and of course they get to swap all their MUT tokens too  ;D

The history of how we decided the specs of this coin are in the discord - where it was voted on what people wanted from this coin.
The wallet and site, as well as github, will be available in the next 24/48 hours - we delayed because we were still testing. The idea of a hybrid coin has its own set of challenges because we launching them all together
normally you would have forks and wallet changes to implement all these things, but we wanting to do it from the start - so a couple of hiccups were found that are being sorted out to make sure that POS POW and MN all work together smoothly. We also setting up our own mining pool to make sure all functions correctly and not just rushing to get out there and having to apologize later. Please feel free to keep watching and commenting on this progress

The wallet, mining, github and masternode set up all work together as I'm sure you know. I cant release one without all three functioning correctly. As stated before we have some hiccups and delayed the wallet. I'm not in the habit of giving a product that doesn't work because I'm worried about how it will be seen. I'm very fortunate to have had no bad responses in our community for this delay and even to delay was voted on.
I have also posted the budget and the discussion around the budget and what will happen to coins - we have an extended community in Pakistan that we support out of all proceeds you welcome to come and look at some of the pictures of the families we support with food and medical supplies. Nowhere will you see the traditional "purpose" as is the custom these days - so no it won't cure cancer ;) but we have a community that decided on what they wanted and our team provided that. My next coin will have a better purpose. Also the decision about what a good investment is or what a good coin is or even what a good project is - is a personal one for every individual. The transition from a simple high staking coin to a coin like Arion was a vast improvement and is in line with the theme (mini purpose) of what the Mutual coin was meant to represent which is a community based investment - we achieved that. Ultimately like expressed in other posts the market will decide whether the coin is worth it.

This means 860.000$ in just one day of pre-sale. It makes me pretty optimistic about the future of this coin.

What is the point of the Proof of Stake rate you chose? It doesn't make any economic sense or is there something which I don't understand?

High POS and MN rewards are for getting presale to those who think they can earn coin fast to sell to recoup money but fail to realize that market cap of a coin won't increase because many more coins is produced and that the latecomers do not want to buy.

CBS, QBIC, DV7 are recent examples.  There won't be any demand.

We have had some problems in the wallet help section and have discovered some people are still on the wrong chain. We have also added more seed nodes to help with connections and syncing the wallets. Please follow theses instructions to make sure your wallet is functioning correctly:
1.)    Make a back up
2.)    Make sure you have the latest version 1.0.1.1-Core
3.)    If you don’t have the right version download it here: https://github.com/arioncoin/arioncoin/releases
4.)    Close wallet.
5.)    %appdata% - Arion – Delete everything EXCEPT the wallet.dat file

The big difference here is that the coin is NOT a 10000% coin. Arion learnt from the MUTUAL experience. Sixty-eight billion eight hundred sixty-five million one hundred twenty-two thousand five hundred eighty Coins for MUTUAL is a BIT ridiculous :-) - I agree. The price of Arion and the fact that most of the wallet holders of MUT that swapped their coins for Arion at a rate of 1:10000 have agreed to lock their coins in is a testimony to the fact that this was a community-driven coin where the longevity of the coin was the biggest request. Longer confirmation times to stop P&D is also part of the coin's makeup. Will you dump your coins for 1 sat if you spent a lot more than that buying it? I wouldn't. Ok but then the dev had this strategy most likely in mind from the very beginning. Suggest an unsustainable emission curve, buy all coins cheap and then propose a coin swap towards a coin with sound specifications. Looks like well played to me :)

Wallet freezing your PC is completely on your end. Finding the right chain is normal and afaik there is no issue with POS, i'm staking just fine. Airdrops are also small and won't cause a dump.

The great part is that 1 masternode is really cheap right now.
You can buy 5000 Arion coins to run a masternode for only 0.15 BTC, while the price from the sale was 1 BTC.

Dev team and Discord are strong w this coin. Really think it has potential. Just needs to grow slowly and work its way onto bigger exchanges.

The new version has a more stable base in the code and has removed staking allowing mining and masternodes to remain. The velocity has been removed and better staking rewards added.

Project is still alive right ? I see active devs on discord , new updates coming almost weekly and a lot of new supporters coming into the project but this doesn't reflect on the price as 1 masternode is almost 9$ which is pretty cheap I would say if you take all of this in consideration. I have 3 Arion MN's since when the price was a little expensive ( 20~$) but I won't sell them because the team is still active.

Can we expect the payment gateway to be implemented somewhere soon ? Venezuela needs this I would say and I know you have someone already on this , but any news ?

Hello team, why no one answer here ? Its not like all of us are using telegram or slack/discord. I have a problem with my wallet as it won't sync and on another one when I want to start my masternode I get an error  "Error : could not allocate outpoint".

I have talked with my masternode VPS provider but its not from them , can I have some help here ? I tried to redeploy a few times but I get the same error. I even made a second and third transaction and still the same error. Also if I want to implement your payment gateway to a website of mine can I get support for that please ? I haven't found any tutorial of how to do it.

you will then be asked how many masternodes you want to install - type in your number
You will then be asked the port number as an example use 8001
RPC port 9001
when loading more than one masternode use the number in sequence for each new masternode
eg.rpc port 9002 port 8002, next rpc port 9003 port 8003 etc etc
enter you masternode privacy key and press enter
it will say that the rule is added and the server is started

Please make sure that your masternode output has enough confirmations.... and then you can also issue a new genkey if you struggling
nano .arioncore/arion.conf - use this command in your server to replace the genkey. Also make sure your masternode.conf file has no spaces in the command lines - do a general check at what seems to be obvious its sometimes something small

I also must thank you for providing me the info regarding nodes because now all are up and running without any problems but I have watchdog_expired status now. It's something wrong with the chain or rewards ? I see the rewards coming but do my masternodes contribute to the network of Arion with this watchdog status problem ?

My apologies for the delay in answering - the world has been a little topsy turvy.
The watch Dog status is temporary its a notification that our mining pools all went down at the same time - it will not affect your rewards and as long as you are getting rewards you are contributing to the network.

In answer to your question regarding the Exchange - we have waited to see what is happening here as alot of them are closing due to the KYC requirements. Many of them accept your deposit to list but don't tell you they closing and so its a bit dicey at the moment to pay over to exchanges when we not sure they going to stay. The other concern is tiny exchanges that have just popped up and have no backing yet which is also a risk - we will monitor this closely and decide on an exchange when we are sure its a value for money easy to use exchange partner

As for the payment gateway - we are talking to potential partners to use the Gateway but we also use it already on our own site. The main reason for the gateway is so that ANYONE can use it and if you are an Arion supporter and own a website the idea is to use it our selves and provide goods and servioces and accept Arion as payment . That helps to create an infrastructure that everyone can use ;)
