Bitcoin reach almost 20k last year and gone down to 6k this beginning of 2018. People are panicking because of some countries are banning bitcoin and so called experts causing a fuzz that bitcoin will not survive this. But guess what, every year bitcoin falls hard and shoots like a moon. I think we are lucky for this year because bitcoin started small and I believe it will pump hard at the end of the year.

I have same opinion with you, we are lucky with this conditions, the price of cryptocurrency going down or going hight that's is normal thing, depending of us react and I think this is good time to buy Bitcoin, because bitcoin price will definitely go up in a few years later, so we can get the profit later when the price back to normal again, this is good for long investment.
For everyone who already buy bitcoin in hight price I sugest to hold it, don't do panic sell when you hear some country banned bitcoin, as we know bitcoin is bigest cryptocurrency in the world, so they will not lets bitcoin down for long time, they will looking for another way to make bitcoin price back to normal again. dont forget it started from 0.008 $ in 2009 and touched 20k in 2017. Its currently showing strong resistance at 8k and hopes are it will go more up in days to come. dont panic just HODL if you have BTC

In my opinion, btc should not be underestimated. I think the price will rise dramatically in the next few months as soon as the shock has been dealt with and the coin is stable again.
As you already wrote correctly, the same thing has happened in the last 4 years. The price then stabilized again in the later months and has increased considerably again.
So we can look forward to seeing how the price will develop this year.  ;D

People panicked because of some random FUD - this is the reason price declined, but I gotta admit, this price spike has been too sudden IMO.
Some sort of correction meant to happen sooner or later.

Who is exactly banning bitcoin? Korea is fine with it, India said that they will monitor the situation of illegal use of BTC and Russia is insignificant here.

Historically, usually the beginning of the new year was bad for bitcoin, the price was always low, due to many reasons i.e. Chinese lunar year.
I believe this time will be exactly the same - just wait for it, BTW this is amazingly good time to actually buy more coins!

The only thing that set bitcoins back are the investors who don’t know anything about it and are very quick to sell whenever they hear bad rumors about Bitcoin and this drops the value.

I agree with you in terms of that . I also believe that all of tge happenning today in bitcoin will not stop bitcoin from everything. Banning bitcoin in some countries may be on eof the factors why bitcoin dumps but will never be a reason for the failure of bitcoin. Botcoin will survive through all of this. Bitcoin price will surely increase after what happened and we just have to wait for that. We have the advantage because we invest when the price is still low.

It looks like this year's fudd almost killed bitcoin,but here we are again,the price has started rising again.Do you think bitcoin will just die like that? Even in those countries that say they have banned bitcoin,am pretty sure that they have very prominent people at the very highest ranks that deal in bitcoin behind doors. Moreover,some people have completely dedicated the rest of their life to do only cryptocurrency trades,what will happen to these people when it ends? Bitcoin has come to stay forever,but even if it will die,not just within a single year or two,it will take even up to a decade to do that,which i believe will never happen.

this is a seasonal event every year, where bitcoin prices fall into and glide up again, and this is a good chance for us all to buy bitcoins and survive for some time to make a big profit in selling bitcoins.

Yes for now we don't have an information that bitcoin prices will rise higher. But the day continues to change, it is not impossible in a few days or months that come there will be things that greatly affect the price of bitcoin will rise.

Bitcoin has a scaling problem. SegWit failed to make that any better.

I have the same opinion like yours, in additional of these falls is the FUD and bagging more of whales. Whales can put walls on bitcoin price if they want and once the price drop they can buy more and then sell high and put wall again to bring bitcoin down and buy again. this is the reality of bitcoin but once everything is fine again we can see bitcoin to rocket more. We have seen bitcoin to fall so many times and stand up flying. If you can't take the low fall then you can't be part ot the passenger seat once the rocket launch. Bitcoin has a low amount of supplies, but every day new people are coming to be involved with this phenomenal coin and the more bitcoin stays the more we get demands.

I have the same opinion too. We are lucky that Bitcoin start small beginning of this year to allow us to buy more bitcoin before the run to end of 2018.

I think Bitcoin involved a lot of risks but as we know we have to take a risk in our to make money on the internet. I completely agree with op but I think saving Bitcoin is not the only key we have to follow, in order to make it more affordable and useful in the next generation we should start accepting Bitcoin even at the service sectors‌‌. Just like many shops and online websites accept Bitcoin as payment service sectors and governments should start accepting Bitcoin too. Schools and colleges should teach about Bitcoin so our kids can learn more about this new currency and learn about the country even better than us.

Bitcoin will surely rise again the days of panicky dumping  due to negatives signals from the asian countries is over and I belief the price of bitcoin has attained a steady stability state these days and gradually it will rise again but not as exponential rise witnessed in 2017.

You say right. But it is not proper for all. Because no one want to profit by holding long term. Every one want short time  huge profit. When bitcoin rate up growing is not saying at this moment. It is depend on global economic.

Definitely it will be bounce back agian but it need some time to make that possible.do not get upset  due to its current price i think it's good opportunity to invest in it to get more benefits in future. If you saw the history of btc then you find that whenever it falls it come back more strongly. I think this year also good for btc holder. Just have some patience and don't sell it just hodl it. After the recovering of bitcoin you got more healthy returns.

We should feel lucky that it is available at lower price so that we can become a millionaire in this year itself while buying now and holding till year end. We have seen 2017 and 2018 could be a same or better year like last year and will help us to grow our money.

You sound like that happened in 1 whole year. Bitcoin was $20K (Dec 17. 2017) and it crashed to $6K(Feb 6. 2018) in only 1 and a half month.

We would be luckier if bitcoin started big. I don't see how crash can be good, especially for people who invested in bitcoin in late December or in early January.

indeed although the price decreasing more than 50% compared from last year price but at least the price finally not continue to dropped below to $6000 and i saw many people starting to sold their bitcoin especially in asian region that after some countries in this region declare to fight against bitcoin then most of them has been panic but bitcoin will pump hard soon and i believe it

bitcoin has risen to the point of reaching $20,000 in less than 6 months and this has aroused the attention of governments and now governments are taking very harsh measures against the people of their country who buy bitcoin and against the exchange of their countries ... and there are some problems that worsen the situation, for example the case of the miners, if anyone observes, he realizes that the workers do not have good conditions to work, the exchange are the worst and the case of Tether... so if governments adopt hard measures against: exchanges, miners and Tether... the price of bitcoin will fall and this year this will be systematic, so I think that the price will not increase as last year

I believe the same. every beginning of the year bitcoin fell down and bounced back again before the year ends and the price is like unstopable.  even though bitcoin is in its dip now. it is still higher compare to the its price on the first quarter of last year. so my prediction is it will pump again this year, before this year ends.

One thing that I would add to your comment that probably won't be very popular but I think price action on charts is just a measure of human sentiment.. people often want to attach price action to news, fud, or announcements.. but I personally believe a large portion of that is certain perceentages of people at certain types of price actions do certain types of things.. and when price falls or goes up, people want to attach a real world reason why.. but I think simply its just certain people fomo, predict top, sell to buy the bottom, sell because others are, then finally panic selling because they think its over..  Bitcoin was way way WAY off of the moving averages for so long, that institutional money just quit participating altogether until the fomo finally ran out of gas... so I think now that the price has fallen to a point where institutional money has said enoughs enough and stepped in to prop it up.. all we have to do is break the 9200 resistance level (which i think is gonna be a tough nut to crack) which will allow day traders to step in which will allow other traders to follow which will lead to fomo and we start the entire human sentiment chart cycle over again... people will say it was "because the senate's announcements were positive or the fud in China has dyed down.. or the people have spoken that they want the longevity of bitcoin to stay at these higher prices.. but my question is.. is it really those things or do we as traders just not accept that we all as a whole have our role to play in the ups and downs of the chart that ignores all of those things until an after thought?  Anyways.. food for thought.

Rather than worry about this fall in prices, we must seize this moment to expand and diversify our wallets.   

We should be thankful that Bitcoin rose up again after it's downfall at almost $5,000 because someone was back on the track again after buying those cheap price. It will take more time before Bitcoin reach again the ATH $20,000 and everyone should invest already while it's just starting to rise up slowly. And hold for a couple of months and i'm sure there will be a huge profit.

BTC is very volatile,it carries high risk but high return as well.Fluctuations are very common.Right now the price is low and good chance for investment.I know after every crash there is high momentum for BTC to go higher.After last year crash by 40% it did not touch its bottom leve,which means that it has investors support that is why it did not fully crashed to zero.The whole coin markecap depends upon performance of BTC.BTC was nothing at the beginning of 2017 but it reached to top level $19783,which is a record in the crypto market.Year 2018 is supposed to be another luckiest year for BTC,BTC price is stable for last 3,4 days between $8000-$8700,more investment is expected in coming days,which will increase its demand and consequently price will shift upward.In my opinion right now is good time for investment in BTC.

Every year there are big drops, but more importantly is after that there are even bigger rises.  ;D

I tend to agree with you, I just wish when we went to 5.9k we would have found the 5k floor and consolidated there so we'd have more a springloaded push with the volume, but if we don't break 9.2k this time around it could very well set up for a dump again.

I totally agree with this and the upward spike has been just started and we can see some drastic chance in quick time in near future.If we follow trends also there has been substantial dip in January from last 3 years.I agree those dips where not as impactful as this but there were dips so we can't complain that the fluctuations are sudden.But now that the bitcoin is gaining,there might be possibilities that we can see a long shoot up in price.

What I say about bitcoin is a great internet job and it's a good idea for satoshi nakamoto because instead of going to the internet and you are playing the video games. but now you have earned money so it is so nice bitcoin in every way for teenagers because they have a side line when they bitcoin. Earning money on Bitcoin is not the only thing that was succesful/ There is also things like having stores accept something else instead of fiat.

The fact that now people are panicking, it's not professional people! These are people who do not understand what bitcoin and the stock exchange is! Bitcoin now lives a correction due to the Chinese new year and some negative news that bears are pushing! I'm a bitcoin user for 3 years now. I think it was introduced to me last 2015. As I witnessed its price, my observation is that its value became doubled and doubled every year and I can say that bitcoin really grows from time to time. There is advancements when it comes to bitcoin because its users is also getting bigger and I think the impact from the bitcoin community affect its value. I can confidently say that whenever bitcoin be introduced to a person, it changes a person's life because it helps them grow, earn and invest money wisely. Bitcoin is really helpful for the community specially when the highest population of the community is not employed and is just making their family to provide their needs instead of working for themselves. I believe that bitcoin however gives those people a chance to earn even if it is just small amount, at least they will be able to provide savings or money to spent in buyingsome of their needs. I also believe that bitcoin value will get higher than its peak value last year.

Everyone already bought the bitcoin at a minimal price who  wanted. It will not go away below 6000. And soon it will fly up and back will not return.

bitcoin will always recover from falling down. Now that the value is going down I am sure many investors is buying  lots of bitcoin because of it's value now which means a good opportunity for them to buy in a lowest price. Definitely they will earn huge amount of profits when bitcoin regain it's value and investors will surely benefit from this bitcoin falling down. This is a FUD, those "experts" are totally useless and does not help to make the entire economy healthy although the correction is healthy itself.

People have failed to see how far the price of bitcoin has gone as compared to before. If you are to assess the price charts, the bitcoin price has been in worse shape years ago yet it was able to recover. The noobs or those who were only able to get into bitcoin when the price was rising has mistakenly thought that the continuous price rise would be forever. The seasoned traders has expected the correction and price stabilization for the first few months of 2018 and now there is an expected steady rise for March.

It is a good opportunity for new comers to start investing in Bitcoin while its price is in the dip.
I think the attack on Bitcoin is over and we don't hear anymore news about countries banning Bitcoin or mad people saying that Bitcoin is a fraud.
All the news now are about international companies planning to implement Bitcoin and to support it (even if these news are not correct, it will help prices to recover).

Anything is expected to happen to bitcoin and to all alternate coins (be it bad or good) but there is only one thing in my mind that can never changed. I am looking optimistic to bitcoin's future and for this year, i speculate that it will break its highest recorded market value since last year.

with the fluctuating bitcoin price this is normal but the bad effect is that some countries are banning it, I do not think it's a ban but the government of the country that forbids it just wants to regulate bitcoin.

I think the bitcoin is a very growing currency and i hope that bitcoin will grow at a steady pace sometime we see in the market the currencies prices are falling but we should not lose hope it is good to hold a good reserve of bitcoin. Dark times will come on bitcoins as this one has been occured on the past but the good thing really is Bitcoin has proven to get a huge pump after its dumped and maybe we can see it pumping for more(Just speculative opinion) But let should wait for it to get restored since I think by mid year we can see the outrageous growth occuring on it.

Digital currency was able us to make our life easier by paying bills and using btc as a payment through internet.Bitcoin was design to invest our investment and in terms of the price value it was always flactuating going up and down we cannot predict the exact value so other investors get panic when its crashing down.Better to hold on our bitcoins until it was going to rise up again.

And this is why old Bitcoin holders are always confident that Bitcoin will recover. Bitcoin has crashed multiple times and every crash there is a price rise. Some financial experts or economist are just baffled on why it is happening.

 

bitcoin can reach 20k in the end of years but it have a bad start in the beginning of the year but I trust in a few months bitcoin price will recover and back to 20k. so there's nothing to worry if bitcoin price has decreased. bitcoin will increased soon.

This is what we are all expecting,  it is extremely unlikely this bearish market is going to be here all year, at some point things are going to improve and in fact bitcoin right is slowly increasing its price, we are once again above 9k lets see if we can get above 5 figures once again, now I do not know if we are going to moon again without a huge development like segwit but the price is going to recover, I do not have doubts of that.

In fact, this is nothing compared to some of the occurrences that has happened in the past and I believe that as some point, most of the long term holders from the beginning, already have the experience and have been able to make use of that experience to cultivate the habit of holding, no matter what the market is telling right now. Bitcoin is a decentralized market, it is normal to end up with this volatility, but at the end, it is nothing and all we end up seeing is a huge recovery after a fall.

OP sounds funny to me, there is even no country banning bitcoin and all these news are just some self-generated news by some group of people who want to take advantage of the weak ones. So far, the recovery is the one I am looking forward to while I pity those who disregarded all the saying regarding holding by those who have been in the system, and understands how all these ends up.

Every trader shares your point of view, in exception of FUDsters, who out of ignorance and overzealousness would not see good enough reasons to buy Bitcoin when most traders are buying, only to start panicking at the next jolt in the market and possibly selling off at ridiculous rates, when they should instead be consolidating their holds.  

Bitcoin is almost a decade here with us and I sincerely think that its historical data, is rich enough for anyone earnestly looking for a sense of direction.

I do not think we can even call them investors they are just speculators that have no idea what to do with their money and invested in bitcoin thinking they are going to get great profits in a fast way and now they are realizing the huge mistake they made by investing in something they did not understood fully, but there is nothing to do people like that will always do that, but look it this way without them we will not enjoy as much profits as the ones we got.

There is a huge possibility of that and I won't be surprised at all. We will still gradually go back testing previous tops, and once we even get to see news that can make the market have some pretty good rally, then this should not even be a challenge. However, whether the bitcoin rallies to the uptrend or we get to see some little bit of consolidation for a while, we are still holding and buying more if we see the chance.

Yes we are lucky that we experience the price of $6k this year but most of us don't grab that chance of once in a lifetime because most of us are afraid to invest with bitcoin on that moment because they don't know if bitcoin will still go down more or will get higher again. To those who buy bitcoin in small amount then they are already lucky right now cause they've already earn bitcoin as of today.

Price touching a level slightly below $6000 recently was indeed a blessing in disguise, because given the massive sell-off by FUDsters, it becomes hazy for many to see the invariable open invitation to create wealth that follows every plunge in the price of Bitcoin. However to the few that were able to make sense of that massive sell-off, they're no doubt happier for the wise trading decision they took. Bitcoin can rightly be said to be ranging around the the $10,000, ostensibly waiting for the next sensational news to repeat its history.

in my opinion the bitcoin will continue to increase with the development and advancement of technology so many people recently came up with a million happily because bitcoin will be increased rapidly to become an attraction. the possibility of prices will start rising bitcoin in early March to $25 k and the end of the year 2018 may reach up to $35 k I expect this will occur on a bitcoin and gives the opportunity to become a successful person

This year is way more better than last year because as i can see, bitcoin has pumped drastically in just a span of two weeks after it was down by 5,000$ plus before it went down again. With that, i believe that it’s not the last pump bitcoin has this year and i also believe that there’s more than that pump in the coming days for sure.
