They have realized Roger Ver's scam is a dead end that will end up in datacenters validating all the data and therefore nobody with big pockets will park their wealth on there. Soon you'll see Steam come back accepting Bitcoin payments again as they are figuring out right now how to implement a lightning channel. Because of the way channels are routed, it works similar to the Tor onion network.
