I can't say I wasn't surprised to see bitcoin at 10800$ this morning :D
$10K psychological barrier seems to be broken, there is no sign of bad(fud,fake) news and I think we are heading to new all time highs.

I am totally bullish for bitcoin and altcoins this year. Last year was amazing, bitcoin and altcoins had a fantastic year in 2017, I think this will continue in 2018 maybe not too hyped as last year but it is a strong possibility to see a new ath this year. What scares me is 2019, if this new all time high is really high, we may see a whole year of bear trend in 2019

It is very likely that this year we will see new ATH,so above 20k$ should be achieved.Psychological barrier of 10k$ is broken and for now it shows good resistance,although it is still possible that price drop under that level,but only for short time.

Considering last year and the starting point of "only" 1000$,this year bottom for now was at 6000$ and to reach last year ATH maybe we need just few months from now.I personally would prefer a little slower growth then last year,but it seems that 5000$ in just few days is nothing for BTC.

If we know that this time of year is not particularly successful for BTC,when BTC catch the speed 20 000$ + could be achieved very fast.

The next psychological barrier would be $12,000. But breaking $10,000 is also a big boost and its a good sign the investors confidence are finally back. As far as FUD is concern, they might be taking a break but I'm sure that they won't stop, specially right now since bitcoin is bouncing back. And new all-time-high? Yes, but we shouldn't worry about it. Seriously, it will happen eventually, but would rather see the price rise in a steady fashion. We have seen in December that a sudden price increase doesn't really bring good to the market in the long run. Many irrational buyers got burned in January, I hope though that are going back in the market right. Let's see, I say that we are out of the woods and exciting times ahead.

Yes that's true if bitcoin will be reach really hight price arround 1-3 month. The power of buyer is very strong to make bitcoin price go up in that month, and maybe this year bitcoin price will be still expencive and go up and I think will be many people who keep bitcoin will be as the millionaire this year. But should be still careful because will be come bad news from naughty people's (hoax/fake news) that's will be make the price go down again, because panic selling. Learn more about candle chart last year ago and you will be surprised with the price on this year. Thank you

I think bitcoin will be 20 k dollar 2 month after cause its dont have wall for now i wanna be 20 k soon

I believe that the bearish trend already ended and now we are back in track to price rise. It seems that it is too early to say if we are going to new all time highs. Bitcoin prices is very volatile and it is really hard to predict, i hope that you are correct for our sake as crypto investors but always be ready if the market did not go on our favor.

Breaking 10k $ value is good sign for bitcoin investors. I can see that more investors will come now and give them more confidence because of the recent. Once bitcoin goes up to 15k $ this month, for sure before the end of the year 2018, we can see again an all time high for bitcoin, 20k $ ++

Bitcoin was having a hard time to get its value higher. But the growth of the value day by day was maybe a sign of bitcoin recovery from its deepest value this year. This scenario also gives us hope that bitcoin will do everything to reach its All time high value.

ATH means all time high ? of course it will.
if you see the history of bitcoin, the new higher point is made every year by bitcoin.
And of course, this year too, bitcoin will make the new higher point.

like always it is impossible to say for sure.

all i know is that if bitcoin was supposed to enter a very long bear market (like what some people were speculating) then it wouldn't have come back up to $10k+ price. a bear market meant staying at below $9000 and dropping more.

but this recovery proved that the bear market of bitcoin lasted a very short time and now is over.

It's surprisingly blatant that's btc would recover from its previous downfall, but a lot find it hard to believe they sell their profit to local fiat money already causing them to loss much more profit though.

I guess bitcoin  movement showing uptrend movement and it goes up slowly  . maybe week handsome is already sold their coim when it was fall to almost 6k+

Obviously most here are super bullish on BTC and gonna say yes to that poll but what is most telling is that somebody bet one billion dollars on bitcoin this past week and that should make you even more bullish!

do not worry about bro, sure that all will be fine. hopefully what you worry does not happen this year and know ahead. Bitcoin will still provide the best for all of us.  :D

I think that it is going to take a lot of time until we reach the block level at 20 K$ again.
We had a strong buzz going when we reached the level of 20K$ and I think that it's going to take sometime until we can reach it again, if we couldn't break this resistance with the help of all the media, I can't see how we can break it.
Most of the people will sell before 20K$ as there is a strong fear that we will see another decline when we get close to this number, but if we get to break it, then the sky is the limit.

I've been bullish since 2014. Many people were like that  since the beginning. One of those permabulls is running this forum :D

That's what people were saying about 2018. After a huge bull run of 2017 people were sure the stream of money will eventually dry out and we'll enter a downtrend in 2018.
Since this dontrend has ended in just over 1 month we can expect new highs just by looking at the timeframes. We had a bull run for a year and in the last 2 months it was so big that people were comparing it to a bubble, and the correction ended after a month! If this isn't bullish then I don't know what is.

Was anyone surprised to see Bitcoin up to $10.8k? I went to sleep expecting it considering the rise we've been seeing through the market (albeit as gradual as it is) and it crossing that threshold wasn't too hard since it's not like we're trying to go past it again.

I don't think there's any new ATH in store unless the community gets excited again or if there is something that kicks Bitcoin skyward, and it doesn't look like any of those things will happen since it seems like the governments of the world are uniting against Bitcoin in legislative action. Hopefully they won't be successful.

Bitcoin reached a new all time high in 2017.

Then there was a crash in January. I think it will reach a new ATH this year. The price is now rising and this is good.

Yes, now the bitcoin rate, according to CoinMarketCap is 10 871 dollars. Bitcoin is slowly but surely growing at a price for two weeks already, which means that it will not go down much in price. Given that bitcoin has been adjusted for too long, it should now grow well in price. Predict that by July it will reach new price heights.

The last weeks have been pretty positive again, I will be surprised if we stay under 20k this year ;D

Without any doubt bitcoin will rise above $20,000 this year. I think BTC will exactly reach 40,000.

hard to predict but in my opinion the market cap could reach 1000 billions in 2018, what means BTC could reach 30 35k... hopefully

It was going to happen because we were destined to face this disruptive era of all powerful authorities, and now things are settling for Bitcoins slowly and it is becoming a center of debates once again. Beating the bears badly and leaving regret for sellers, bitcoin has started gaining attention back with full force.


10k was not the barrier, but a key level that's needed to be crushed by buyers to make Bitcoins enter the main barrier-breaking level of $12500 (TA). I'm not sure about ATH during this year, because it has taken long - and will take much longer to gain. But according to my calculations, if an average person buys at least $500 worth of Bitcoins, I believe we're not too far from a new ATH too. Well, that's seriously not in my mind because I want all this ado to ease for BTC.

I do not think we are headed for an all time high just yet, yes the price is recovering but there is not the same amount of excitement in the air as just a few months ago, bitcoin will keep recovering for some time and then the price will remain more or less stable for a certain amount of time until more good news come or until we get more FUD coming from the media.

This was expected. It was a correction of the rate, and now we see the expected growth

I agree with you. $12,000 is psychological barrier. But if bitcoin stays over $10.000 level many people will invest in and marketcap will be higher. Because marketcap is still not enough to boost bitcoin price.

It took some time for bitcoin to reach 10K again. Hopefully  with all new developments to make transactions faster and cheaper, bitcoin will reach a new ath this year. But that depends on the outcome of the G20 discussion on cryptocurrencies in March.

Breaking $10k is a good sign, but, while I'm an optimist in long term, I'm still not sure about new ATH in 2018. Unlike that crazy spike in December, there may be a long way from $10k to $20k.

I think there will be a very strong resistance at 20K if Bitcoin reaches that high. But I mean VERY strong. Hence, I do believe that it won't be broken before some really major news. The lightning network could be the key to better scaling and pave the road to adoption with retailers but we have yet to see if it is worth the fame. I also do believe that the greatest obstacle is not even scalability but volatility.

Im sure that we will see $20k this year, in the optmist scene maybe we can see $50k this year.
Im hope at least we can hit $50k by 2020 but i expect $100k  ;D

Bitcoin will have a new highest price in this year of course. For now I can see that Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are much more popular than before, almost people all over the world know about it and trying to find out the way to earn money with Bitcoin. Everyday you can easily see the news related to Bitcoin on TV. It's becoming more well known, more popular and it'll have the better price than last year maybe it'll be 50k or 100k$

Bitcoin has now recovered after those downfall in just a few days. It's a good sign that we will have a new all time high this year. Analysing the new trend, it can reach $15k next month March. Hope new buyers will now join and invest as the price has getting stronger. Keep holding.

We have past $11K based on coinmarketcap ($11,112.7). Where are all the doom sayers now?

I'm very bullish about bitcoin so I think in the next coming weeks it will get to a new all-time-high. But again, I want it to be slow and doesn't have to be pump artificially because we all know what's gonna happened next, it might crash again.

I'm sure that new buyers are getting into the picture, pushing the price. Maybe those investors are new, or old dogs who have been in the line, waiting to see how the market reacts, and now seeing that everything has settled down and bouncing back, goes back and pour their cash into the ecosystem. Its barely the second week of Feb. so anything can happen, but I'm positive that we are in for a rally.

I don't think we can have another ATH's this Month, maybe for the next Month or 2 months more before we can hsve another ATH's this year, the increase of bitcoin price is slowly and I think there is a lot of investors that still not investing again with bitcoin because they are invested with other coins this time.

this is really Cross your finger in this year, after the achievement of $ 10k bitcoin penetration will continue to go, the current price was almost reached $ 11k. but, we can not impose the will that bitcoin will continue to go, this good sign can also bring negative impact that could happen at any time. a little bird told me about it, that in every increase this number will always be a decline. but, calm the potential of this year's rise more than its down. my hope is better to rise slowly and carefully than to rise suddenly but in the end make the numbers fall back. I'm sure $ 20k will happen in March later, not a few also people expect bitcoin menju month. in my opinion it is too early for this year.

Too early to tell, in my opinion.

Yes the markets are bullish, but doesn't mean that this can't be a bull trap and people who buy in for the short term gets f**ked in the ass. But it's looking great so far, no more FUD which is a positive thing for sure. And with a positive news or two, I can see a new all time high coming.

Won't be this month though, expect price to stay where it is at the moment, give or take a few thousand dollars. If a new all time high is coming then it'll most probably be somewhere around April-May.

I am sure that Bitcoin could reach ATH again this year, but it will be difficult because Bitcoin need to settle down the transaction cost and bring back the investors, alt coin also being the target of investors to diversify their investment, but the potential of Bitcoin growth is still big

Do you think it could stop BTC's momentum ? Or you think that regulation could be a good thing and boost the market cap ?

No this that bull trap where you use your best and last chance to sell to instead buy in and immediately lose 50% permanently or at least for a few years. It might go to 13k or so.

Actually the G20 summit will be this month and not in April. At the forefront is Germany and France, joining forces together and pushing for a global regulations. The only positive thing that I can really think of is that they should look at crypto to really shape the overall financial status of most countries not just members of the G20. What I don't like to hear is that same argument that crypto is bad and needs to be regulated globally. They need to come up with something strategic that will foster cooperation that crypto can really be used as micro payments and it need not something to be fear of. So let's see how they will come up with something that will be beneficial to all of us.

As for ATH, yes I'm fairly optimistic that we can reach it though its really hard to tell when because this year was started off on the wrong foot, so its really bad but I'm sure we can overcome all of this in the next months or so.

I'm confident that bitcoin price will be stronger in this month and will be heading to a new all time high by October. We need patient and hold.

Im not sure, we saw an all time high of almost 20k not too long ago with slow transactions and high fees,
although december was mostly FOMO i think, people were getting in because they couldnt see the fall only the continuing rise.

That ciuld gappen again quite easily.

I think most of us are thinking the same thing and expecting that bitcoin will be on its new ath this year even last year we didn't expect it will reach 20k$ that mostly are from speculations but it came true so we can do the same speculations for this year and ofcourse expect the unexpected happenings that will happen and that will do good for bitcoin and bitcoin community.

Yes of course and that's what i am feeling about bitcoin this year. Despite all the crisis to start the year, bitcoin has showed to us its capability to come back even in a sluggish manner. I believe bitcoin will break the highest market price ever recorded by the end of 3rd quarter of this year.

As far as I recall history of bitcoins ATH it is always on the midst of of quarter 2 of every year up to quarter 4 if that will be the same by this year then no doubt bitcoin for sure will reach the $20k+ base value on the market.

Possibilities are endless and we should always strive for it as well as for bitcoin price.

The old one was when it rose to over $20k late last year.

So this new one should reach beyond that amount from the predictions are by the likes of mcafee and other ceo types who believe in bitcoin in the first place. :)
