The only solution I see is to trance the IP of the current newbie and check for alts if he is not using VPN.
Then is just to monitor the alts for eventual business. Still difficult to get proof if you don't have an agent under cover :)

Yes. A merit police is urgently if there is none yet. This forum has to be rid of the abusers. It will evening keep scammers away.

Its good that you shared that user selling sMerits but I see that if you see other persons profile, you cannot see its posts. The only thing you can see are activity and merit right?? I THINK THAT ACCOUNT IS YOUR OWN ALT ACCOUNT AND YOU ARE JUST SENDING IT IN ORDER TO GAIN FROM YOUR MAIN ACCOUNT BY POSTING SOMETHING THAT IS ILLEGAL

Correct me IF I AM WRONG. If that account is from another then you can only see the activity and merit but in the picture you can see activity,posts and merits. See and observe the picture

You're wrong. Seeing people's post counts next to their posts is a setting that you can toggle.

This checkbox on the bottom page of the "Forum Profile Information" (the same page where you edit your signature and avatar) toggles it on and off.
This was turned on by default.

These guys must have curiously toggled if off before.

When I registered it was off by default,but I toggle it on. It's much easier for me, when I report newbies to see what is the post count :)

Regarding in my merits. I posted it in our local board but unfortunately, they're off limits to some and our moderator moved the thread so I cant do anything about it. I can show you my merits so that you can see.

I just gave an example, didn't really meant to actually accuse you in anything. It's really easy to find something suspicious in any profile here, and this is complete normal.

We need a system that works without a police.
We only see the tip of the iceberg. You can't control Merit trading.
The system just has to be better.

I am really curious what will come out after the end of the 2 months trial period.

if they were just to think about it for a little, they would see that selling merit is useless and will be caught sooner or later. I've started writing down in my book (not online) usernames that have received high amount of merit and quite a number of usernames that are giving it to them and will be counting how many times have they given merit to one same guy.

but that's wrong again. Let's say you are a legend with 500 merit, which you don't give a damn about. You have every right to give it to another member who has helped you, or just made you laugh.

Who are you to judge on what basis he gave HIS merit away?

Of course selling is prohibited, but apart from that, he has EARNED the right to choose what to do with his merits.
There is nothing you or your book will be able to do against this.
