Hello Kay

you are not late, you can still be considered an early adopter!

I too am also new and seeking to learn more about this new market and constantly growing pool of miners.

I am glad to hear we are still considered "early" adopters! I was worried I was getting involved in this way too late. Especially after watching the market for the past week and a half, it seems as though BTC is steadily decreasing in value. Did we hit our ceiling in april 2012 with that $234 high? (I hope not).

It still has some room to grow! Whether that happens anytime soon is the question. If bitcoins are going to be useful for big real world purchases, each coin needs to be worth at least $10k for large populations to be able to buy houses or cars and such. That way every day purchases use satoshis. $234 is not the roof :)

$10k for 1 BTC?! Oh man I like that ratio! I hope we can build its value up to that! If we do/can then we definitely are still considered "early" adopters of this "new" cryptocurrency.
Just curious what gives the impression that Bitcoins will (or should/could) eventually be used for cars, houses, boats etc?

Welcome KayleeW! :) Some who discovered Bitcoin in 2011 thought they were late adopters too, so no worries!

One other thing to say to a newcomer: once you've been involved with bitcoin and using it a bit, you'll tear your hair out next time you have to deal with fiat and related institutions, even the more decent ones such as many credit unions, let alone evil banksters.

Hello and welcome.

Also, I second the hope that the bitcoin reaches 1K$.  But I hope that's because the BTC rises, not because USD tanks.
