Eventum is its own decentralized network which uses blockchain as a court system, which means EVT tokens will be an ERC-20 token in Ethereum network.

We developed our own network of validation and data reporting nodes which can process hundreds of thousands of transactions per second and can act in real-time. We also use blockchain  as a court system, which means we use Ethereum smart contracts and EVT token is used as a fuel for validation nodes (reward for their collection, validation and distribution of data in the system) and in other parts of the system (disputes, review mechanism, staking, reputation ...)

Events on my side look as nicely executed, with no buggs or any kind of troubles, connection with Ropsten network is working well, as well as action like joining the event, claiming reward, etc.

This project already has an alpha MVP working in ropsten trial net . I say it will be fast deployment and keep track on this one. Best of all it is a protocol project meaning this is another foundation for many blockchain use cases.

It would be great if the Eventum project was realized so that the news hoaxes that are scattered in the future no longer exists. The project ensures that news data will be decentralized in one center, safe, sophisticated and transparent. Thus the hoax news can be lost. With a very good concept from Eventum, I am sure many investors will be interested to invest in this project and hard cap will be realized. Why its to small activity in thread?

Yes I also noticed this. On telegram and Twitter there's more activity/discussions than here.

The activity will probably spike when more news on development about ICO and project development come out. At the moment, the idea has great potential, team is testing the product with events. Road map is out for 2018 but it is not detailed and the team is yet to give more details on further development.

I think we will see more activity when the project starts to develop even more and I hope that these numbers of high growth community are not just numbers, but that people see the potential in the future for this kind of project.

This is a very interesting project with potential. I was a little skeptical at first myself, and still am in the short term, but you can see a real application for this project. I suggest anyone who hasn't checked out their test events to do so.

Yeah, wasn't convinced when I read their whitepaper. But after getting a feel of the Alpha and joining their events made me a believer of the technology. I advise others to try and join one of their events.

If you will invest by joining the whitelist, KYC is not needed as I think, but there is still a minimum investment required, which could be maybe 0.15 ETH, only devs can clear this question.

Revised token structure and new hardcap

To be able to give more to the community via the Ecosystem Fund, Eventum have changed the token distribution structure:
10% more is given to the public via the ecosystem fund,
5% more is added to future financing (e.g. future token sale rounds further down the road, either private or public)
2% more to partnerships —one of the main ways to get worldwide adoption of Eventum technology.
This means that the total private sale allocation has been reduced to 33%, bringing the new hard cap in the private sale to 12,236 ETH.

The Eventum platform will really be able to monetize data, acting as a mediator between journalists and news agencies.The idea of using consensus to obtain a certain "truth" is not new, but the use of blockade as a way of creating structures that will regulate this truth is a new idea and very interesting, which can be very good for our society.

I remember the bounty company was very exciting and interesting, also attractive for its awards. I wonder after a time, all paid already good rewards or not? I would like to see what the team will do in the future, how they will be able to realize their plans and ideas.

They are testing different reward distributions, this last event was a flat distribution so it didn't matter how quickly you answered just as long as you voted correctly you will receive the same reward amount as everyone else. It was also interesting to learn that their first event yesterday didn't reach consensus but that's actually good because it allows them to test different outcomes to help ensure the system is working correctly.

Providers can be free to join any market, they can be required to have a certain level of reputation score, they can be
forced to stake a fixed amount of tokens or a hybrid approach can be used, where staking is only necessary when
reputation score falls below the threshold. Same mechanics can be used to limit voting itself.
In both cases, if data providers act maliciously or vote differently than a majority, their stakes go to the reward pool.
If the staking mechanic is used, the size of the stake is C/n*K, where C is the total reward set by the developer, n is
the current number of people that joined the data feed so far and K is the stake factor set by the developer (usually
between 1 and 5).
To reduce timing speculations and market manipulations, developers can utilize the market_join_bonus
parameter. It is a scaling factor for the reward that each user gets if they join the market before min_people is
reached. min_people setting as well as inverse proportionality of the stakes and number of data providers (small
number of providers pay higher stakes), prevents groups of people taking advantage of almost empty data feeds and
trying to “force” majority without consequences.

I had the same question but i looked back in their telegram channel and Luka specifically said that they would not take away reputation for not reaching consensus.

if you have 10/10,  you have 100% so your reward gets multiplied by 1.  if you have 9/10, it gets multiplied with 0.9. if you have 3/10,  well - then long-term it's better for you to wait and get into consensus than try and guess with a 0.3  multiplier

What tricky with sports is the number of leagues across the globe.  There very few global level events such as the world cup

Can you tell more about the requirements of Prime Validation nodes? I know that we require to stake at least 30k Eventum for a node reserve but what about technical requirements. Do we have to rent a server or we can simply run on our PC itself? Also does it have to be a 24 hour running node?

let's assume I want to "oraclize" this: I want to know if my granma is sleeping or not, so I put a webcam on her bed and stream it accessible from a website (similar to the thief event). Today's betbox event was probably the easiest and most fun event on Verity! I was thinking that you guys will try to make the pyramid live after event starts and then post it on Twitter. But you had already done it. I'm glad I checked twitter just 10-15 sec before the voting started and voted yes. Took 8 secs but still got 71 position!! The competition is real high level in Verity events!

The final cracking challenge seems to deserve it's name (nightmare).

It seems that this topics has been a bit neglected, which is unfortunate. Verity is one of my favorite projects, and certainly among the most lucrative for me. I have eatned quite a lot of ETH from it, and VTY tokens. The events which they run are interested and ripe for debate. I suggest everyone to check them out for itself, and naturally DYOR.

At first I thought Verity was a new blockchain project for this year 2019. And then I realized it is Eventum. Yes, I've heard about Eventum as early as late 2017. I don't get it. Eventum had a decent online exposure when everything was hot. After the re-brand, no one is aware of the project anymore. It is kind of counter-intuitive to be competing for eyeballs with every ICO when it was popular when now is the time to be more dligent in marketing where no one is shilling projects left and right.

Another one bites the dust.

TL;DR
They failed to secure the next round of funding and will close their doors and stop the development and support of the project.
In addition to the core network code which is already open-source at https://github.com/verity-network, they will release the supporting components, the marketplace, deployment scripts, and other tools as open-source in hopes of someone else taking over.
