Title: Beware -> sMerit harvester Busted!!! A MUST READ
Post by: Fria on February 21, 2018, 04:48:29 PM
I just want to inform everyone especially bounty hunters who are harvesting sMerit and trying to abuse the new Merit system in this forum or for those who are planning to and asking sMerit favor from your friends.

Guys, one of the sMerit harvester that being busted just earlier today February 21, 2018 14:00  on my local timezone is ME and all of my alternate accounts.

I would like to ask you a favor to refrain your sMerits and give it to someone who deserves it because keeping and hoarding that little thing would offer you no benefit at all. And giving it to your alt accounts will end your all accounts' Trust in trouble, worst is, you can no longer participate to signature and other bounty campaigns.

Please do stop harvesting sMerit from now on though everyone deserves a lesson but I wish that my worst case today will not happen to you.

I am now feeling in pain but I am seeing the brighter side and this would make me a better member in this forum.

Yours truly,
Fria

He's already been tagged, I added the thread link to my comment.

Holy fuck 12 accounts would have taken ages to make, and now none of them can be used in sig campaigns which I assume is what they were made for. Unlucky bro.

That's life! I deserve it. I just wish everyone could read this thread and should stop doing sMerit harvesting.

Step 1 is to stop farming accounts, then you'll not even have a need for sMerit harvesting.

This is a lie. The twelve are just the ones I've already found and tagged but you've previously admitted to having at least two dozen:

My biggest regrets on Cryptocurrency is not within this forum for I didn't made a lot of accounts before the Merit system take over the ranking.
I wasn't able to make more forum accounts last year on August, for so, today I have more than 2 dozens of higher rank accounts like more than 2 dozens of Senior members that would be useful on earning a lot of Bounty stakes but that didn't happened because Merot and sMerot prohibited our chances of ranking up  and get higher bounty stakes.

OP obviously wants more negative trust on this and the accpunts he had leave him merit, so tag 'em all.  I'm sure this apology means he's not done with the farming and will just look for a way to not get caught.  Props to hilariousandco for finding this guy and negging him.

These are the "newcomers to bitcoin" that some members here think they need to protect.

Was bitcointalk signature campaigning your full time job?

What was your original post in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2902250.0;all (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2902250.0;all) about anyway?

Props to hilariousandco for finding this guy and negging him.

I only found one. The rest were discovered by this guy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2902250.msg30766387#msg30766387

Was bitcointalk signature campaigning your full time job?

No not yet seemingly, but he was certainly considering it:

Re: Quit your job to trade Altcoin?

better you doing both,,
still do your job as usual and become crypto trader too,,

In my experience, I can do both as a full time company employee and a participant of some varieties of signature bounty campaigns because I still can manage my time in this forum while I'm on my duty but I cannot practice day trading that which will make you earn more money than joining bounty campaigns.
Site of my friends are into Cryptocurrency trading so now I'm thinking quitting my job will offer me higher income in Cryptocurrency trading than staying in the company.

It seems too risky to me. You can trade altcoin and treat it as an additional source of income. I would not quit working because in case of a loss, you still have to pay bills.

A lot of people are now working full-time with Crypto-Currency because they earn higher figure amount of money than their salary.
For me, if your full-time job didn't limit your time for Cryptocurrency then you can do both otherwise quitting a job for Cryptocurrency as full-time trader is better than sticking with your job not unless of you're holding a good position in the company.

What was your original post in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2902250.0;all (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2902250.0;all) about anyway?

Just complaining about how hard the merit system is for him which had obviously put a big spanner in the works of his campaigning.

I've found another 2 accounts who are alternates.

 mariaanna (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1272609) and spooneds1 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1172588)

They swap merit with each other:

 spooneds1 merit page (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=1172588) and mariaanna's merit page (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=1272609)

They're not related to my accounts and their sMerits were legitimate. Please ignore them.

I'm done with the farming and that was ended today and I do give my sMerits to someone someone else who deserves.
I am sorry for being the center of attention due to my wrong doings today.

ThePharmacist, an apology Sir and I understand everything.

I have read the OP and several early threads. I dont know why you did that, lol. I am also curious about what you will get in the future. There are lots of users abused merit system like you, hence solution for your case is important.  ::)

We help everyone bump on this thread.
I wish I could post this one to other sections but I don't want to commit another offense.
I made this thread to stop every member who are trying or planning to do the same things that I did.

I know I'm not the only one who are doing this but I just want everyone should know my case and will stop harvesting and abusing their Merit.
I am now on my way to recover myself out of this painful consequence.
I do regret everything and lessons learned.
I am sorry

I don't deserve any credits though I am wounded badly, this is my hardest time in this forum since I joined long time ago.
Today, I already accepted that I need to start from the scratch if I have to.
Don't feel pity about me, I just want everyone aware the worst consequences if they're not listening to me.

In the future, having red trusts of lower ranks would be normal.
One of the most effective ways  to earn sMerits are hunting down lower ranks abusers.
Well done busters!!! Enjoy your sMerits 😶😶😶

I like how he posted this on his profile:

Dear visitors and friends, I gave my sMerit to my alt accounts but I don't think it's a crime.

Why would you even think that merit farming would be ok? Just tell me that, since you think it's not a crime or any form of breaking the rules, I'm really interested to hear.

Not hating, just saying as it is. You still didn't answer my question above and, as I've said, I'd love to hear it. Like you can't see that giving yourself merit from alts isn't defeating the purpose of merit system at all.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Hi Tyrant, as I read Theymos Merit thread, and he stated that:
Quote
While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

I know I am stupid but I am choosing on my alts that for me those are "quality posts" and I am sorry that we are not the same perspective of what is "quality posts" and you can't force everyone to make quality posts according to your standards.

We really don't know that this sMerit harvesting will cause our profiles into Red Trusts but still I believe that sMerit harvesting isn't a serious crime until Theymos would state this regard as an official forum offense.

Answering questions cannot take back my red trusts but I do love to respond any inquiries why I am doing it in behalf of the other sMerit farmers in this forum.
