Title: What happens to Bitcoins that are sent to a wrong address?
Post by: direct on September 26, 2013, 07:56:23 PM
There is a similar topic in the forum but I wanted to share my experience from today. Sent BTC from Bter to Cryptsy but entered my BTB address instead of the BTC. So the money were gone from Bter and never arrived at Cryptsy...

What the hell is BTB and why does it use the same address structure as Bitcoin?

Still if you have the BTB private key and its addresses are constructed the same way you should be able to import that private key into a Bitcoin wallet and have access to those coins.

Thanks for the tip! It is just 0.05 BTC but I will try so save it if possible. :)

P.S. BTB = BitBar
