Title: BedsBook: Book Your Hotel with Bitcoin (Prague)
Post by: elendir on September 27, 2013, 07:56:03 PM
Yay! After months of promoting bitcoin to the hotel industry, I can finally celebrate a small victory. With the help of a local travel agency, I'm launching BedsBook.com (https://bedsbook.com/), starting in Prague, Czech Republic. Book your hotel with bitcoin, 10% off. Will be adding more countries soon. Stay tuned!

The travel industry is a perfect fit for Bitcoin, since it is one that merchant fees / payment card network costs are high, and the travel-related firms end up with a fair amount of chargebacks.

Great to see this addition!

Exactly. And one more thing - have you ever wondered why the room price is nearly the same on all the online booking websites? This way, the big companies protect themselves from competition. Even the hotel itself on its own website isn't allowed to offer better price. But we believe competition is good and we're trying to change the situation using bitcoin's awesomeness.

Wow, hopefully this will grow. With a 10% discount, I can see people changing their fiat to Bitcoin and booking using this, it might actually help the economy a little bit.

Really nice to have a 10% discount (did not read all conditions though).
And the country is kinda affordable as well :)

Might use it in the future
