Title: Hidden gems
Post by: Titus Maximus on March 01, 2018, 11:38:21 AM
Hi there,

I am constantly researching alt coins with a low market cap and are under the radar while having a lot of potential to make significant gains in the short and med term. What are your hidden gems that believe in?

My #1 is HTMLCoin

The features of HTMLCoin include:

Double SHA256: is used by Bitcoin and other established blockchains to provide a secure and provens cryptographic wrap for HTMLCOIN. Real Time Checkpointing: Protects the history of the chain from being changed by 51% attacks, and broadcasts block height and hash of the main chain that cannot be overwritten.
Enhanced Hash Rate Compensation: Adjusts every 120 blocks but with short, medium and long block time samples to average out the adjust and apply 25% damping to the result.

Hybrid Bitcoin / Ethereum: Uses both the Bitcoin and Ethereum codebase combining Bitcoin with Ethereum Virtual Machines
Smart Contracts: Protocol to facilitate, verify or enforce negotiation or performance of a contract.
Simple Payment Verification: Execute smart contracts from lite wallets.
Decentralized Applications and distributed computing platform: The new HTMLCoin network will to be able to create smart contracts and other more fully fledged complex EVM apps.
Account Abstraction Layer: extension to Bitcoins ‘Script’ language, sits between the blockchain and EVM and allows decentralised applications and smart contracts to run in environments that were not possible before.
why is this coin unique guys/ The supply is huge

Any opinions? What are your hidden gems? I will post my findings in this thread and would happy to hear your points.

Pick coins at the lower end of the spectrum, but ones that have a product and will be listed on exchanges soon. One example is Crypviser which is first to release a secure messaging system (mobile app) with secure encryption and blockchain tech for payments. Going to be listed on hitbtc soon, currently super cheap on bitshares platform

15m total supply
10m circulating

currently 85 cents

Market Cap  £895,691 GBP  Circulating Supply 10,866,054 XLC  Total supply 54,000,000 XLC

Definitely not hidden, it's about one of the best known cryptos.

One I like is Fidentiax, they're looking to develop tradeable insurance policies on the blockchain.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/fidentiax/

Market cap isn't shown because circulating supply isn't there but it's 100m so that's about a 15m market cap. If they get it right this can easily do 10-100x

Previous ATH was about 10x current price. (Exclude the $4 that was just a anomaly.)

Hey, try BPS an ICO from bitpaction.com. I see great future for this coin and what they offer.
Bitpaction exchange is an evolutionary idea to further solve issues with existing trading exchange  in the crytoecosystem as exchange platform place a key role in block chain technology the need to evolve becomes imminent for development.
ICO date: 1-28/02/2018. BPS token symbol,
1 BPS ≈ 0.0000282 BTC
1 BPS ≈ 0.00028275 ETH

Good point, I agree that 99% on the bottom is not likely to move up but there is the other 1% that has everything it needs to be successful, it is just very early stage. Just like Htmlcoin where there is a good tech behind it and/or support from an existing or fast growing community. Just look at the telegram group of the coin I mentioned.

My #2 hidden gem is: Restart Energy

They will be adding more energy producers over the next years, which will allow a higher storage of energy per token.
I think that's a cool way of growing token value. They are an existing company. People can trade heir own energy, you can become a franchise in your country. Website looks very good as well, professional and impressive are also the stats of their existing business. Their growth is based on real organic values and not sth like BTC where it's hard to justify real value

Just wonder why they decided to"tokenize" their business in that late stage and how they might be holding up against similar projects as Suncontract or Powerledger. They are similar for sure.  As far as I know the main difference is that it's an existing company already. They are tokenizing the business to enable the decentralized trading.

Marinecoin looks interesting, yet they have been around since 2014 and it never took off, yet they restart the project with a wider scope: Previously positioning was "5x faster than bitcoin" while now it's "machine learning and payment processing". Could not find ot more about what machine learning can bring to payment processing but certainly worth to look at it in more detail. 9 Billion token for a niche project like sound sounds very high though. Is the airdrop still ongoing?

maybe not so hidden , but I have some apreciaton for ETN . the price is very low now.

They are very well known because this is their main advantage. Richard Ellis is a marketing guru but unfortunately, he lacks the knowledge about blockchain tech.  For how his product is nice only on paper but has no real value. Now is the best time to buy ETN because it`s at a discount price and you will not get it at this price ever again. I still have my faith in Richard that he will bring the right people to the project.

Now about the gems. I think that rather investing in coins that are undervalued you should start investing in ICO`s. Its the fastest way to make a profit if you do a strong research before investing.

Do you still think right now is a good time for ICO's? There seems to be consensus that there are so many ICO's right now that it is not possible to keep track with everything anymore. Also the gains are not the same anymore if you talk with people have been in ICO's last year the same time round. Did you not notice that? Wonder if that is influenced mainly by the high amount of new projects having an ICO right now or by the current bear market conditions and the result that feer of loosing seems to dominate over the hope of winning.

The hidden gem of 2018 is marinecoin. They are currently airdropping 450k coins to the first 20,000 people who qualify for the airdrop. There's more information at marineco.in. Marinecoin has been around for some time now, and there is a significant surge of interest in the coin. Marketcap is under 1mUSD so it has a lot of room to take off. It currently supports AI and IoT and this is still expanding. I see this an excellent long term hold opportunity

Just noticed that all your posts include a section of marinecoin, I assume you are part of the project. I tried to sign up for the airdrop you mentioned but it has been suspended.

I think you can keep an eye on POA, it is a very good tokens, it is a fork of the ETH, POA, however, beyond the ETH, POA has more throughput, POA is quite good, I think it still has a lot of upside potential.

If POA is a fork of Ethereum it is a well kept secret, I was only aware of the forks Ethereum Classic (which seems to have no purpose, have not seen an ICO on that or anything else) and the recent fork Callisto.

Do you know if they plan having ICOs on POA?

eXRN - a protocol and network for cross-chain value
and data transfer between distributed ledgers (blockchains).

It has a very low value of an individual coin and the roadmap of all up to 2019. year. I check it from time to time and it's constantly lively.

Aion is a sleeping giant.   Don't miss it.

What makes it a sleeping giant in your view? I noticed it went up by +30% a few days ago and it is fairly undervalued for a new blockchain, however it's also early in the game.

3 hidden gems that I like for 2018 based on the fact that they have solid offerings.  KNC, POLY, and DeepOnion.  I don't see the point in investing in new currencies that can't truly differentiate themselves from the big boys that already exist.  Instead, I think it is important to find networks or differentiating features like privacy coins.

Title: Re: Hidden gems
Post by: Titus Maximus on March 20, 2018, 07:23:11 AM
I also think privacy coins will continue to have a big relevance as so many users are concerned about it. Deep Onion is already around for a while. What differentiates it to other privacy coins such as Monero or Verge?

Title: Re: Hidden gems
Post by: bizul on March 20, 2018, 07:41:17 AM
Privacy coins proved that they will remain relevant in the future. When a simple privacy coins like Dash can reach $1500, I wonder what a sophisticated coin like DeepOnion can achieve with so much innovation. It got to$20 even when it is being airdropped to the public for free. The airdrop will continue for 5 more weeks so check the link in my signature to join.

I don't believe there coins now that can rise within a small period of time. Come on, the market's mainly bleeding. Or otherwise, if you mean some shitty projects, it is a very risky kind of decision to invest and hope not to miss the time when the dump starts.
My #1 is HTMLCoin

I don't think this project is strong enough long-term, but you are saying it is a hidden gem for short of midterm investment. What's the reason for it to succeed in the nearest future? I can see that the coin is now being actively developed, but is it really enough?

HTML coin one of the oldest mineable coin has now evolved a lot after the coin swap and a nice team work.
Still it has a long way to go to achieve it's aim.
In my opinion, NEM is one of the hidden gem of crypto world. Currently in 10-15 position in coinmarketcap, I believe it would come in top 5 by the end of the year.

AiGang is another token I consider a hidden gem.

The AiGang network focuses on providing insurance to the Internet of Things ecosystem via the employment of smart contracts and Decentralised Autonomous Organisation (DAO). Utilising the AIX token, AiGang aims to automate—remove any third party from—the insurance industry through the popularity-gaining platform of IoT.

Each member will receive the AiGang AIX token reward in return for taking either a bear or a bull stand on a particular insurance market and/or product. Utilising a proof-of-stake algorithm, AiGang can store a reputation score for each member on its blockchain. For this, in addition to the token ownership, prediction market, insurance pool mechanics, and the users’ proportion of the total number of AIX token will be taken into account. Their experienced team is another plus point here. Telegram 4K members

that is a very risky pick for me, but it sounds like you have done your research. You better create a plan on when to sell if you haven't yet. All altcoins including shitcoins can really soar high too when the crypto market pump started. For me, my hidden gem is XBY. It is the first proof of signature blockchain which is the static nodes is the main core of it. it is 51% attack proof, it is also using its multi language type of protocol where unlike ethereum you can be able to create your own token using different programming languages so it makes it easier for different type of programmers. It is also faster than bitcoin and ethereum. This project really is on the early stage yet on the test net it can perform up to 1000tps as of what i know. I am not updated anymore this last few months about their test nets so i think it is much better now.

Can you explan why you think it is such a risky pick? I think low caps are more risky in general but if they make a move upwards also the leverage is much greater of course.

Thanks for sharing your pick, you are talking about the crypto in this one: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/xtrabytes/

I came across this already 6 months ago as they do a regular airdrop similiar to Deep Onion.

maybe weird time to wonder about hidden gems but Verify might be one. It has similarties with the already successfull Moneta but adds Buyer Protection.

Here is a good comparison of the different payment solutions, and how they differ in fearures. Funny enough the established options as Paypal and Creditcards offer the least for the user, so sooner later we should see a shift towards the Crypto Solutions and Verify seems superior to Moneta or Utrust. In the long run it could emerge as one of the major player in the Cryptoworld and lead the battle against the old empire.

From my research the product seems to be ready to go to and still tje marketcap is at a ridicolous 2 million.
More info here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/verify/

Any thoughts?

My hidden gem is MEDIC coin. I get a daily income stream from their shared masternode that has paid for itself many times over (and was very cheap compared to other MNs|). The price is increasing nicely too as the project grows, so in addition to the staking rewards my small capital investment is growing nicely too

ADB - AdBank. Low market cap, plenty of room to grow. they have a beta product in use and have bought an advertisinng company to push customers through the platform - they will buy another one before EOY.  Just brought on VP of media for Twitter to generate more customers to use token.  I am expecting it to blow up in the next few days.  Yes I have bags - everyone that shills does DYOR and look for yourself their best info in on their medium account.

Ahh also BABB - I have no bags yet but I guess keep an eye on it in about 4-5 months when they close in on the banking license.  There you go a non-shilling comment.

If you look at the 7day chart you will notice very predictable up and down movements so among the speculative part you also have a coin that is ideally suited for day trading if this fits your investment style. Just the exchanges are so far rather weak...

This is the useability and necessity of this cryptocurrency, it is an experienced team of developers, activity in social networks, following the road map, the ability to respond quickly to problems. Also, the total supply of coins/tokens, capitalization, the desire of the team that the coin was added to the well-known exchanges plays an important role. Just walk through these items and you will realize that inexpensive coins, such as HTML, just can not grow much in price.

Another coin that could be very big this year is tokenpay. They were among the few ICOs in a bear market that were really doing well with 300% ROI at this stage and strong momentum. They are also in the process of acquiring their own bank that can issue creditcards that can be charged to their Cryptocurrency. It's the holy grail as you can spend you cryptos wherever credit cards are accepted. It's still early stage though and they are not even listed at a proper exchange...but therefore also still cheap.

Anyone got an idea how Tokenpay differentiates from other, similiar projects? For instance there is Wizzle that seem to do quite well and Moxy.one which were struggling with fundraising for some reason.

HTML coin, the first „hidden gem“ mentioned this thread went up 70%, funny enough during a time when most coins dipped, so this project seems to get some momentum now. The dead are coming to live.

Another one I find quite interesting is Enigma, there is very little talk about this one. Their mainnet is going to be launched next month which should certainly propel it‘s price appreciation.

My hidden gems are trade.io, which is a new exchange with native token launching in a couple days.

Also Monaco (now owners of crypto.com) who will hopefully launch visa cards within a couple months.

Also like Bismuth, which is a python based coin, coded from scratch no clone coin rubbish with bismuth.
