Yep this year will be bigger for ICOs. Because in 2018 started few huge ICO - TON and Dragon coin , they collecting huge amount of money. And also each days starts a lot of new ICOs with cap 10-30M . So this will be ICOs year.

A lot of people knows crypto currency now. The ICO number may increase compared to last year. Investors will be happy in 2018.

i think it will be a big year for ico's this year. it is only going to grow as more and more countries get involved after they no longer trust their own nations currency as a primary investment strategy.

I think not, because the current of the ICO project is too many, and each country to the ICO market regulation, so new ICO project will reduce, more people can buy tokens on exchange directly.

I think that 2018 will not be a year of falling for the ICO. It seems to me that ICO will be held in 2018 in a larger volume (compared to 2017). Everything depends on the policies of the states. If the ICO will be regulated in many countries, then it is possible that the number of ICOs will be reduced.

I also think that 2018 is the best time for ICO projects. You guys just need to take a look at this forum then you'll know this case.  I do think that 2018 will be big for ICO's, however I believe NEO and ICON will set the stage this year. Well, we have already seen a single ICO (Telegram) raise over $1 billion alone, obviously this was an outlier but still shows that the absolute valuations of some ICOs is increasing from when they first started. I think 2018 will lead to a small improvement in the amount of money invested in ICOs, particularly as we begin to see novel examples such as EtherJack.

You have a point but I'm yet to see any serious regulation, all have been in dailies and social media sites while icos are still defrauding investors even through telegram. While ICOs will raise more capital in 2018 than 2017 (due to market conditions not projects getting better..this is important), it is my belief that these ICOs will fail as hard if not harder than 2017. The reason I think this is because more or less these projects are similar to last years project, with even less being innovative. That leaves us with the same type of projects that have failed or are failing, and there simply won't be space for I don't know 20-50 gaming coins. I just don't see that happening there, and there are other areas were market saturation is beginning to rear its ugly head I would be extremely careful when choosing an ICO this year.

In my opinion, with crypto getting known little by little and soon will become popular, I guess these coming years will have an increase in ico's.  Hopefully, with the large number of icos coming, there will be less scammers.

For me yes i think this 2018 is the year not only of ICO but the altcoin too, but since there's a lot of coins and ICOs appears so its difficult to us to know which is the good or better one. We didn't know if there are scam so im hoping there still worth it even there's a lot of them.

I don't think so, for now the ICO market is more of the hype,people is not doing the value investment, ICO investment is the possibility of policy, so you may not gain anything.

It getting bigger everyday for those that raise funds for one project or the other.  So many people have invested and are hoping that what they have invested in will mature and actually carry out there plan and reason why they raised money in the first place.  It is important that the ICO developer are accountable to their investors.

At now - yes, this will be a big year for ICO.
But what we can say at 2019 ;)

From a few companies that focus on blockchain which I talked to:
- people are getting more and more distrustful towards ICOs. Which is kinda logic giving all the examples of ICOs where the devs abandon the coin.
- there are so many ICOs that the amount of funds to be raised diminishes.
Maybe that will change in 2018 but I believe that it will be harder and harder to spot the honest projects in between the scam projects.
