Title: Historic Total Network Hash Rates OR Historical Difficulties Post by: adraza on July 21, 2011, 09:53:03 AM Although I have read a lot of this forum I did not find this information.
I need past numerical values (with time maybe!), do not link me to graphs or estimations. I saw a lot of graphs. Anyone? EDITED What about historical diificulties?? Title: Re: Historic Total Network Hash Rates Post by: gellimac on July 21, 2011, 09:58:04 AM this is not enough??

I need smth like an excel/tabular data. I need smth like an excel/tabular data. Just a hint: the underlying "hard data" to calculate "total network computation speed" are the timestamps of the blocks. Maybe you should try to get a list of all blocks with timestamps and then go from there. I'm not sure it's easy enough to get from there. Maybe ask around on irc channel #bitcoin. Surely, a lot of people have compiled this data or can easily do so (e.g. sipa). The data is also available in every bitcoin client, btw. There's a patch that allows to read that through the rpc interface: https://forum.bitcoin.org/smf/index.php?topic=724.0. If you're still stuck, I might be able to help. Unofrtunately I'm on vacation currently...
