Title: List of sMerit Giveaways/Contests in BCT (Updated March 05) Post by: Theb on March 05, 2018, 02:31:29 PM So I notice that a lot of members especially the lower ranked ones complaining that they are not receiving enough merits or any at all. Well it is now there chance to receive some sMerits with the following giveaways/contest. So I will be posting here a list of threads created by members who are willing to give their merits away. The catch is they have their own set of rules before they send the merits away. Let see if other Merit Sources will follow other members on creating their own Merit Giveaway Thread.

But I intend to keep updating this thread in a simple manner as to compared to what the ither thread is posting which has many classification. I've still got merit to give away, but I don't give it to people who ask for it, and obviously I don't give it to people who are on my ignore list. Thank you for clarifying. Merit is a good breakthrough because with this the spammers will feel very big difficulties. But I also realized, I am still learning and trying to understand what are the rules that apply to this forum. When I am seeing Giveaways/Contests it reminds me of a similar thread dedicated for the mere purpose of it like Games and Rounds. I put a few members on ignore for begging, but on reflection I thought that being in threads like this gave the wrong impression to new members. I would encourage anyone who is trying to obtain merits through these threads to read the first few posts. Make sure you understand the objectives of the OP, and the conditions for his reviews.

These contests/giveaways are aimed at giving merits only to quality posters, exactly what the system was supposed to do. Merits should go to quality posters, instead of Shitposters and, sadly, it seems like these giveaways/contests are the only reasonably effective way to achieve that. So, if you want to give away merit, but want to avoid red trust, just don't sell it, trade it, or anything else. Also don't give merits to non-qualitative posters. As long as you send your merits only to quality posters in your contest/giveaway, you should do fine! I assume this would also be a sort of Merit giveaway, though things seem to be limited to one or two merits. The other sMerit giveaway thread seems to be somewhat dead with the last post being on the 12th of March, though I understand it's not every day people make merit giveaway threads. Part of the reason that the thread seems to be dead might be due to the fact that the OP of the thread updates it almost as soon as any giveaway comes up; the giveaway I just listed is already on it. To make ourself appear high in others eyes? OP is it so hard for you to find people who deserves merit while you post? If we want merit system to work, let's avoid these giveaways and let it work like it had to be. |
