Hi I noticed allot of commotion on my twitter feed regarding a binance hack. Binance have temporarily postponed all withdrawals. Not Ive looked around and couldn't find anything official regarding the subject. It was only a few weeks ago John Mcafee was FUDing binance so I don't want to jump to any conclusions.

This information is entirely accurate, as far as I know, Binance has exposed the API key to multiple accounts being sold altcoins at different rates, altcoin in the market fell 10% :( A sad day for the altcoins, many people lose 50% of the value of the property after the incident of Binance.

Ye this is pretty bad. Its a shame this kind of thing keeps happening. I hope this is just a consequence of the space being so young. I personally believe these issues will eventually be ironed out on a large scale. I hope it does before too many people are put off. Long term I think it will be ok but these are definitely incidents that can slow down the rate of adoption

Ya wasn't a true hack.  A 3rd party api flaw like a few stated.  Looks like Binance caught it in time and is undoing the damage.

Not a good day for crypto market hopefully soon we will return back to green. I wonder how many users got affected by a hack with API key.

yes yesterday bot binance hit hack he did pump on coin via but the problem was solved successfully. I think binance will return to normal after this

I am one of the people who trusts Binance because it has a good reputation. I hope people don't loose funds and if they did I hope Binance can make up for it.

Yes, the official has issued a statement confirming the attack and then rolling back the data. But the confidence of the market is gone and many people feel pessimistic

Nope. Binance exchange is not been hacked because what happen those traders out there using bot program to trade for them with API keys are the ones who have been hacked and they sell all altcoins that they are holding and bought VIA that's why VIA was easily pump hard.

Nope that is not a complete true buddy. Yesterday morning onwards there were some reporting from the traders side they were unable to use the trading API and it does not reached to the trading wallet.
Actually what is happening to the binance is, hackers attacked on individual trading accounts only not the complete server buddy.
After the 10 minute this news has been spreaded on Twitter. He has confirmed that everyone money safe.

As far as I know, now the exchange is working in the regular mode, personally I do not have any difficulties when working on Binance

I think in retrospect binance have handled this extremely well. I think they ended up reversing all suspicious transactions within 24hours and once again the communication was excellent.

Binance wasn't hacked. Users using a certain API got hacked. This story with binance is like a FUD instrument made on purpose to dump prices. Those hackers even lost money in this attack.

Technically is not hacking, because they don't hack anything. This is only some people take advantage of unaware investor, who put their binance API to untrusted 3rd party. It's read only API - means it can only be used for trade, those people use it to manipulate the price, massively bump few alts and it make others dump

This information is accurate so as to make the coin price low, but this is only temporary. Experts predict everything will be back to normal. This case makes most people panic

True.But the hack didn't steal any asset.The Binance's protection and respond are really positive and excellent.
But the whole market was really threaten,and the whole cap drop sharply.
Now,more and more guys begin to think about the DEW again!

For many exchanges this is a major issue still, hacking. That's why I believe in this new exchange with new security measures to keep private keys off the exchange and in the users control.

Don't understand how hack of one API could make - 10% from billions on market. This very strange. Every minute somebody is being hacked, why this not affect on market)

actually, it is not hacking. but there is someone who uses API for trading and takes a lot of advantages with incorrect way. the binance didn't lose the asset during this activity.

exchangers hack creates lot of fear and panic news in the market and binance is world number one exchanger hopefully they will protect the exchange for future no hacks

I read the same, that Binance locked the attacker tokens, but It coudnt stay locked forever, right? Or...?  Someone knows how this ended?

I think if this news were true, today bitcoin and other altcoin would have dropped even more and the news would have shattered very quickly. But it did not happen, then it's just a rumor.

If I think it's one of the strategic steps for the sake of mengatisipasi unwanted problems, because we also need to find security for togetherness

only Hoax are created, Binance is completely safe.It is a very reputed exchange and it cannot compromise on security of assets.I hope people's fund is secure on Binanace.

if binance hack is true then the market and people believe will be vulnerable and more panic hopefully binance take measures to nt to happen any such hacks in near future

Honestly, I have not heard of it, but it seems like everything is okay and it's a scam because the exchange functions normally. I would say in the usual mode.

Binance today the best and protected exchange. Hackers can crack anything including Binance, but this company has so good reputation and they so value her that will easily compensate the stolen means. I am not afraid to hold means at this exchange

I think it was true :). My friend also lost all his cryptocurrency on his Binance account without being received any email notice about withdrawal or logging in :). I don't know what happended and seem like there are no way to take his cryptocurrencies back cause Binance will not take responsibility to refund it back to users :)

I'm sure that it's just a fake and there was not any hacking at all. This kind of false news is the standard for the crypt .. I wish we could cope with it.

It is fake news %100. Some people are trying to panic people as publishing such news. Do not trust every news source and people on internet. Most likely they are trying to lower the price to buy on dips.

I do not think that's true, there is not enough evidence! Just issue it to ask Binance. The exchange is now strong in Binance. so many crazy people accused Binance!!

You are one of them. This thread was created on march and it's meant this thread has been around 4 months and binance also stated if they didn't get hacked. All funds are safe.

I think that these people wasn't researching for legit informations, they've been outdated with binance latest updates. Currently binance had made their site much more safer than before as that news after 4 months, caused lots of trouble to those investors and holders to panic or might pulled their funds. As said and confirmed the funds were in good hands safe in the exchange site.

When this happened and what cryptocurrencies he lost? What do you mean all? You mean more different cryptocurrencies? 

The point is they try to hack Binance, but they didnt succeed. Binance have very strong protection.
