Title: How to handle tough times in cryptocurrency?
Post by: Wilsonong222 on March 08, 2018, 11:06:08 AM
We are indeed the tough times of trading or investment in cryptocurrency. After the ATH of Bitcoin last year, we are now at the stalemate at 10K USD mark for almost 2 weeks and no sign of going up. I was thinking to hold for as long as I can since I believe in crypto.

If you’re at the losing position what is the best thing to do?

Never use money you can't afford to lose for trading and you will never have a tough times.

Yes, prices are moving, this time down. But this happens in every market eventually. I'm trading as usual.

Always keep some fiat money (or Tether!) to rebuy in times like these. This will grant you a very nice profit. I was able to increase the amount of coins in my portfolio by +30% since January.

Never panic and stay calm until prices explode again.  8)

Until now I still believe in Investments in Bitcoin and digital currencies. It's been a long time, but for me this is a process in Bitcoin's much improved development. None of the instances and previous world of digital currencies always show surprise, we will see it all happening and Bitcoin prices will increase, we all just need to be patient and wait until the time comes.

Handling tough situations in bitcoin is very simple, and for the same user doesn't need to make big decisions. Just have trust upon the growth of bitcoin as well other digital currencies, because when years pass technology will contribute bug to the population. It's is good to just hold with patience unlike the price variations.

That $20k was just because of the hype. Bitcoin surged insanely from $4k in September to almost $ 20k in December and that isn't at all organic. After all that dump in January and February, the present growth can be termed as organic with BTC maintaining it's price for 2 weeks, market can be said to be maturing as volatility is decreasing percentage wise. Still, any rumor or news have decent effect on price. But market easily recovers now. A dump after a huge pump followed by a stable period is healthy for the market.

I don't do anything. I have my money in fiat that's why I'm not bothered by wild price swings on the market. And I also invest what I can afford to lose that's why I can stay away and not be affected specially that the price is somewhat stalling at $9K-$11K.

Of course patience and time should be on your side. After the frenzy of December 2017, everyone thought that we are not going to see bitcoin failing below 4 digits. But last February we are all shocked to see it go down and just today as well. So you need not to be emotional as this stage otherwise you might be affected and finally decided to push the sell button which is not right at present situation.

Don't watch the prices constantly, you'll drive yourself mad.

You can also lend your coins out on Poloniex which should help you increase your stash of bitcoin. Over time you should make enough to ensure yiu don't have a losing position anymore.

There are times when the ambition is very important but not always big enough to motivate you to move forward, you should also not be too focused with the rise and fall in prices that will make you weak, and it's good you to do research and learn anything that can be useful to the business you......

Don't just rely in cryptocurrency investment. The best move is to invest not with your money but the excess money to your daily budget in order for you to hold in cryptocurrency. If you will sell all of your coins in the mpst cheapest price definitely, you just throw away your capital.

If you are good at trading and have experience you will know that you must invest the amount you afford to loose which don't push you into depression or you can have extra funds to cover losses and buy some additional coins at the time of dip.Don't even sell all your investment in panic by doing so you lose all your profits and capital.Tough times can be covered easily by holding on your nerves and when boom period comes you can enjoy the profits.

At this time, since a losing position has already set in, there is nothing to be done than to manage it so I see only two options at this but what matter is the aftermath of the decision because that is where either happiness can set in or some unending guilt which might not leave for a very long time.

1. Set another lower point based on the amount of loss you can accommodate at this time and sell if its falling below that point.

2. Wait till the time that the market might take a positive turn of events of course this would seem very difficult especially if you are active on the forum where price panic is being posted here and there. But if you can close your eyes to checking the prices and set like a month to see things, you might be surprised on how price might have recovered.

I will also hold until my lost hope. I have a great hope towards the cryptos, right now its time is down but market will surely gain up. I will never panic and never check for the prices constantly where its up and down will make my bp to raise. I will stay calm and make a technical analyse of the current market and my decision will be based upon that.

Actually I don't understand why bit coin should be hoving around  $10,000 for the past 2 week and I have give it a thought that bitcoin should be at a very high volatile since the end of last month. We are at a time were we would need a positive fundamental analysis and also using experience to find out why price has be were it is and there is no moving on.

Just make use of that tough time into money,if the price keeps dumping for a while then sell that coin and then buy when the price starts to recover so you actually can make money by doing this and when it comes to bitcoin surely this method will work.
Or just hold and never trade it for lose and then don't invest the amount that you can't afford to lose.

Trace back everything and your worry would be lessen, I mean crypto have its downfall and what we needed to do is just wait, keep buying more and never to fall into panic, bitcoin and other quality alts will bounce back, the market will be healthy again, most of the time those who holds for long time
are the biggest earner inside the crypto industry.

The best thing to do is to sell your bitcoin when its price is decreasing then if its price starts to increase , buy and invest those money that you got from selling your btc. If you cant afford losing, my opinion is to hold and wait for a big pump

All kinds of investment is risky that's why aside from our money, patience is our number 1 capital here in crytoworld. Bitcoin is volatile and the price is changing unexpectedly, what we need to do during tough situations like this is just to relax and hope for the best. We must not panic because decrease of the value is just a part of it's votality.

This is the situation when they say "keep it calm and do the karma".  You have to be very patient during such situations. If you don't keep your mind calm then you will make decisions which you will regret later on when you will see yourself in loss or when you will recognise that you could have gotten huge profits on the holdings.

So you see I'm depicting you the future here. This is what will happen if you don't keep yourself firm on your decision today. So it's in your hand now whether you have to be strong during such situation or whether you have to regret the whole thing later on.

Simply just close your eyes if you think you can't deal with crazy market like crypto , it's full of unexpected things and yeah a healthy market always look for the right price , a growth like what we've seen a couple months ago could be considered as a bubble , some people dump it and it's causing corrections several times , it's like never ending dump but seriously 5 fold growth within a year aren't good for anyone , just the matter on how we analyze the recent situation.

First of all you have to learn how to be patient, how to control your emotions and keep cool head. You also need some experience and then you will be able to survive the tough times.
This is important because from time to time there will always be tough times, you can't escape it. So when you are at losing position the best thing is to wait for the price to recover and the worst thing is to do panic selling.

If we look at the charts of Bitcoin from last year,  we can notice that the prices were decreasing until March-April and it was after that the price started to increase and gained a huge spike at the end. If BTC follows the same pattern this year too then we should at least be waiting until April ends so that we can get an insight about how BTC is going to perform over the year. Although anything could happen as we cannot predict crypto's future, we can still believe that there might be a spike in BTC's price in the upcoming few months.

Hodl is one of the best thing to do.  The reason for this is that, bitcoin have the ability to recover.  It is sepculated that bitcoin once saturated the whole world will increase in price greatly.  Or you can scalp or day trade.  This will t least make your time worthwhile waiting for the price of Bitcoin to go up.

What I'm not liking here is the way people start being worried about things that are supposed to happen.
Why are you so tensed about Bitcoin's situation currently? During the beginning of 2017, Bitcoin was not even $1000.
It went more than 19x in less than a year, so this was going to happen. Do you think that anything, I mean anything in this world could survive those values for so long in a sustainable manner? Simplest answer is NO.
Why? Because investors are in the mood of making profits, and the fear of crypto bans here and there have made people start to think a few times before investing into this. The volume has gone down immensely, it'll take time to gain back confidence and till then, it's better to stuck at a value (as you said - $10k) than going up and/or down badly - it's neutral ATM and I'm happy with it.

Even Banks go bankrupt due to severe reasons can pull their hands off when it'll be their turn to pay you your money.
Though, if I were you, I would hold - and hold till my last breath because I believe in the technology. Bitcoin will survive all the obstacles slowly and steadily, don't get too much worried. The happenings are what were expected to happen, so let it be.

Be calm and analyze the market to see where the market trend goes. Remember to equip yourself with so much knowledge about this market that you can evaluate when the market fluctuates. Do not invest without knowing about it, it is very dangerous for your property.

It is very key to define what type of player one is, short or long term. If i am a day trader for instance and my trade is breaking all support lines with negative FAs all around BTC and/or the coin, then i cut my losses to look for another opportunity. But on the other hand, if i am a long term holder of say 6 months upwards, i just simply buy and hold in my hardware wallet until the need to sell arises and of course after a massive profit.

If you did invest large portion of your money or savings then relaxing isn't really possible into these times specially when you do saw price of bitcoin is going upwards a little and then drops down on big percentage which these movements can really make you panic when you always active on seeing price movement of bitcoin. It isn't really new anymore and its always been part of crypto investment. On this cases you cant do anything about it but to wait for recovery.Dont sell out on loss because you would mess up the entire situation even more.

Exactly.Just learn to wait patiently until the price recovers or else you will end up losing.I suggest do not look at the price movement every minute because it will just make you more disappointed and maybe think of panic selling right away.Bitcoin and the rest of cryptos are known to be volatile so we should expect price dumps from time to time.

The only thing that we can do now is hold and wait, that is the wisest solution, because think of it, if you sell now and try to cut your loses than you are actually going to lose, but if you accept your faith and just be paitent and hold than eventually the price will go up agin and you will get your profit back, the whole market requires paitience and the ability to adapt to the situation, if can't handle a little lose its not for you.

Cryptocurrency is just like any other money or stocks in the stocks market. You either win or lose. If you invested most, if not all of your money in it, you really have to worry. In the game of investment, it's not always advisable to put everything you have in one box. Now, if you only invested a part of your money, there's no need to worry. Check the price history and see if there is a pattern like how long does it take before the value goes up again, etc. Some people play it while still in the low. They only gain little but the point is at least they still gain even though the value is down.

I think surviving in crypto is a tough time because I'm used to it, maybe looking for benefits from the current condition or taking advantage of a certain moment to make a profit, if my position is lost I will take back that position maybe with another way.

To overcome the difficulties in the cryptocurrency market, the best thing to do is to patiently keep the crypto and wait for the price to rise again, you should not sell off, because in the future cryptocurrency will be a market that plays Very strong. Or if you have trouble with money you can sell a little to cover your life

Cryptocurrency market will continue to growing in long term, and this down trend will be finish and continue change to uptrend. And to minimize the risk some of my portfolio should be for day trading because now bad times for long term hold.

At the moment the price of BTC is 8,900 USD and forecasted to go down up to 6,500 USD. I’m still contemplating to hold even though I almost lost 20% of portfolio’s value. Technically speaking if I will continue to hold until it will go to 6,500 USD the total loss I will incur is 42%. I’m really confused if I will sell to day to cut my lost or believe in the popular HOLD strategy.

It happens in the crypto don't be panic or distracted if you face bad times while you handling crypto, tough time is not permanent handle those situations cautiously think in a different manner wait for the good times, very important thing is patience.

During these tough times you can rely on the present tools available to you which are the technical and fundamental analysis. Trading plan also plays major roles in executing your decisions. Based on my own analysis the BTC price will continue to dip same as your analysis. You need to follow your gut instinct in these moments.

Tough times in cryptocurrencies should be handled with caution, one should not be in panic ans must stay calm as possible. Always remember that you know how risky and unpredictable cryptos are snd yet you still get into them. So face tough crypto times with a braveheart. Being cool and focused would help a lot in being able to make intelligent decisions.

The best thing to do now is to "WAIT" we can't do anything but to wait. That's the only way to survive this crisis in market we need to wait patiently. In order to survive we must encourage our seves to have vacations and trip and forget about bitcoin, forget about crypto for now.

When  just liquidated or burnt a part of my portfolio i usually do is just relax and don't look and trade for a few days to recharge and not think about the loss because one of your worst enemy in trading will be your emotions because you will be greedy.

In such a situation as now in the cryptocurrency market, you need to be out of the market, the cryptocurrency should be sold already. Wait for the growing trend and buy.
If you have not had time to sell, just wait. The market will not fall forever.

You can sell right away to avoid losing more and get out of the stressful situation, or if you are a straight trader then you choose to hold and hope everything will be fine along the way and recover or even gain in the future, it's really very unstable right now.

If you can believe cryptocurrency then no worry about this correction this is common, actually a real trader can use this opertunity and make money in future. I am just holding my coins and also buying new altcoins for a cheap price. i was waiting for this movement to buy my fav coins for a cheap price.

When volatility is high definitely try not to panic.

I am still holding all my positions for two main reasons:

a) I have faith in cryptocurrencies and how they will become more and more popular.

a) the market is still on an UPTREND. Look at the market change in the past six months here:

https://www.bitscreener.com/screener

virtually every coin in the past six months has been on an uptrend, so we should look at it from a much wider perspective and not focus on the day to day charts.

That's why I am holding and I am confident.

I used to handle the time and know when the right time just by looking at market conditions and new news, and currently bitcoin prices are down drastically down to less than $ 10 then all you can do is just wait for the price back up do not you sell and do not easily despair . the price will definitely go back up you need to do just wait for time only.

If I find myself on such a difficult scenario, I won't panic and try to see if the investment I have has the tendency to bounce back no matter how bad the price is at the current times. Next is I'd take a risk to try and average down my investment to see whether I'd make it out even or I can still make a profit. It's a huge risk, but again if the asset I'm holding at right now has a high tendency to bounce back, then it's a risk worth taking. You can always sell at a loss, though I think only impatient people do that to their money, lol.

be patient and wait no need to hurry, at such a time do not get carried away the atmosphere becomes panic, because it can harm your own, the trade is full of risks, you can lose all the capital because of these risks, but behind the risk there is a big advantage, you must make the right decision for yourself because every step you take will determine the outcome whether it is profit or loss

Trying to time the market is pointless, so even if you are a hard believer in crypto, whenever you feel like the bubble is going to burst, as happened with BTC on December, it is good to sell some and re-buy at lower prices. What you cannot do is sell and buy higher if the price continues to go up, just be patient and wait for it to drop.

For example, if you sold at 13-14k, which was when BTC was going vertically up with a very unsustainable growth, you would have been able to buy and trade the swings with that FIAT money, making some nice profits during a bearish market, until the market turns bullish once again.

In my opinion a good combination is 85% BTC when the market is bullish and 50% BTC when the bubble feels unsustainable.

If you’re at the losing position what is the best thing to do?

I am in a losing position and I believe majority of us are so what I do is just hold on to my coins because I cannot sell it now when its value has plunge that much. I am also thinking of another strategy that will let me trade even if it goes down. I know that shorting is one of the strategies but I am not that confident yet with myself doing shorting because I don't have enough funds to cover it in case the trade goes wrong.

Most of my income is from cryptocurrencies and I need to pay some bills so I need to convert some to fiat and nowadays it is not really the best time to convert as the equivalent value is small so I need to convert more coins. I am thinking of a more effective strategy to earn more coins by taking some jobs which would give me more coins and at least would break-even my losing position.

Just be calm and be patient to avoid unnecessary move that you will regret later on. Prices fluctuates from time to time but who knows a month or two prices will go up and would surpass the previous high from late last year.

Converting to fiat is not really a good decision now especially if those coins are brought from an actual job or from investment, try to do bounty for your monthly expenses if you don't have a job, find some legit project that will pay you according to your works.

The best thing to do is to sell your bitcoin when its price is decreasing then if its price starts to increase , buy and invest those money that you got from selling your btc.
That would be a terrible mistake to make and you would most likely end up shooting yourself in the leg, because price is always decreasing and rising. I guess you were going to say, selling at peak prices and buying back at bottom prices is one of the best trading decisions any trader can make.

However, when already in a losing position, you wouldn't want to make things worst by selling and foreclosing the chances of a recovery. At this stage, a systematic buy back, popularly known as averaging have been proven to be effective for such a situation.

Quote
If you cant afford losing, my opinion is to hold and wait for a big pump
When you're HODLing and price is down, you don't say, you're losing, rather it's price that is against you and that is exactly why you're holding onto your Bitcoin until whenever price improves to your satisfaction.

When it comes to known cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, I think it is okay to keep holding because these two coins already have strong market influence. Do not let the market correction affect you. It is normal and a coin as volatile as those two, especially bitcoin, fluctuations in price are not peculiar.

Now we just need to wait. The market is still bearish. But after every fall in prices, growth always begins. You just have to wait for this growth. Therefore, in this situation, we just need to be patient. How long should I wait? No one can answer this question accurately. So just wait.

Yea it is so difficult to handle when coming the tough times in cryptocurrency. And this time is that time. I think to handle this time we should control emotion. we should wait until price up again. And it is a good decision that doesn't invest more money in cryptocurrency. And always we need stock some usdt for buying in the deep. The crypto market is working with too much ups and downs when the market goes up there is a too much high profit margin in between them and when the market goes down then may be it down their 10x and the situation is totally different to handle in term of too much profit and too much loss if you are involve in such coin that is up or down according to this market condition then the tough time for you in case of market or your currency down trend so for the understanding the good thing is the market high price trend you don’t forget and wait until the market goes up again and don’t feel panic.

Best position you can get and nothing more. You cannot sell due to the fact that you will lose a lot of money.
Buying is one option but I doubt they will buy since it is in bearish mode. Only those who can shake the price like whales will have that courage to buy because they know profit will come later on.

The simplest way to survive through such storm is to keep this fact in mind that digital market is destined to fluctuate and it would be rising up once again. If after investing for long term and the price starts going down its better to stick with the plan and hold coins for long term because if you sell your coin at that time then you will loose your money. But of you hold your coins for long term. It might happen that after 1 year the coin value will be higher than the buying price.

No trade should ever be more than a fraction of what you have overall. Anything beyond that is suicide. There's enough history now to know that BTC can brutalise your and your position for months and years if it's in the mood.

If you're not exposed to anything with a ticking clock then just sit there and wait. The people who did that rather than run screaming wound up being fine in the end. Again, look to past behaviour. It's far from dependable but consider how much potential growth is left. There's still a huge amount of headroom.

Even when growth itself has peaked and it's gone as far as it can, and who knows when or how that happens, there's proper deflation to kick in.

I don't think that we are now facing a hard time with bitcoin, this is much normal actually. I prefer this set up where btc increases slowly day by day and only deflates a little bit because I really hate what we experienced this Dec. where btc reached ATH and suddenly into blood bath.

Just because btc is now too far to its recent ATH it doesn't mean that we need to be alarmed. Calm down and be patiently waiting.

Right. This is just a normal fluctuation of price from time to time so we really need not to worry. If you really believe in bitcoin, just stay calm and do not look at the price always because for sure it will only make you a little bit frustrated.Just keep on hoping the price will surely increase in due time and if that happens, the coins you're holding for so long will give you much profit in the end.

Bitcoin is not doing bad right now. Yeah! Its recovery is slow but at least the price are more stable now. We are now free from a roller coaster scenario which make us more tense and stressed. I'm pretty sure thay btc will hit its ATH sooner or later, be patient.

Going back to your question, you only have two options to choose from: remain hodling or cutting the losses. But if you'll ask me which is a better choice, HODLING definitely. This is riskier than "cutting losses" because your earnings will probably drop further but on the bright side you'll be able to preserve your coins and still earn as the price recovers.

I do not consider whatnwe are experiencing now as a tough time, since all investments have thensame characteristic, they go up and go down, as of now, we are experiencing a correction of thr market, if we can recall, bitcoin had reached 20k usd in no time last year and profit taking seems to take place, there are also some issues with the exchanges, however, this does not stop bitcoin from being a digital currency and an asset, i think what we should also consider is the purpose of bitcoin, so we will not be worry, let us all keep in mind that bitcoin was created to make transactions much faster compared to banks, and the value just comes is second, do not always give in to FUDs, even if there is confirmation, as long as you know why you are investing in bitcoin, i think you'll be fine.

I think the best we can do is hold our coins because if we sell on the current price, the price is really low and it's not worth at all but if you predict the price will go lower, just sell it and you can buy again when you think the price will not go down anymore. So you will get a bit profit from it.

Yes it is good question in tough condition the emotion will be counted and the best thing is in this condition is control your emotions and keep waiting the market situation and wait the time when market will become in good condition again then sell the coins instead of panic selling in tough time.
This is a problem that most holders face whenever there is such a long downfall and they don’t want to give up but feel difficult to continue too. The simplest way to survive through such storm is to keep this fact in mind that digital market is destined to fluctuate and it would be rising up once again. All the crypto coins are in their infancy and have a long way to go. Try to avoid looking at the price on daily basis and take a break for refreshing mind and faith.

Exactly this is the case everywhere in the crypto currency now. I mean if you have to gain something out of it then you need long lasting patience and no matter what you do, whether you gamble, hold, trade in each of them you have to have the patience.

This thing becomes very difficult when it comes to the hard time like current one and the patience becomes even harder and harder! But those who do not acquire that character will never be able to win the crypto market.

Yes, true thing about the looking at prices everyday and every hours! That can kill your waiting very fast and you may loose hopes. Its better to stay away from them and always check them out with alternate days or so.

Diversifying your investments by allocating them into different sectors can reduce and mitigate the damage once the market falls. Though there is also the potential of all the prices of cryptocurrencies decreasing, it reduces the risk of losing all of your resources in the event of a market crash.
Another thing, establish your investments by differentiating each either for short or long-term since some coins are profitable for short-term only. Bitcoin, on the other hand, depends upon your goal as its volatility calls for short-term but its price calls for long-term.

i think the best part of tough time that is if you invested good and you have less capital then in my opinion hold and survive the situation as u can and if you are good then may be people knows what they have to do most probably people take decision good because they are good in there work and in alt coins  there is some coins where we can putt mind in there and invest and we can get profit with shot trading.

People should invest the amount that they are willing to lose. Investing, in general, revolves around the nature of risk and you should understand that there is always the potential of losing your resources depending on the situation around the world. Likewise, this also depends on your financial status if you can handle the dumps. If you think that you need cash due to an unprecedented situation, then withdrawing them might be the obvious choice.

In order to gain profits in trading, we should wait for a right time to move. Bear market makes as more tough. We don't know when the tougher times of cryptocurrency begin or when it is gonna get to an end. Each and everything happens in an unpredicted time period. First of all, some of you are being killed by your stupidity and greediness. Even before you get into trading or cryptocurrency you’re being told that there are lots of risks involved in it, but you still will go ahead and invest an amount of money that you can’t afford to lose and even put in all that you have, which is quite a stupid move. Most people believe that the price of Bitcoin will continue to go only up and will never go down. How can you be thinking such a thing when you know that Bitcoin is volatile, meaning that it can fluctuate to any direction in any time. So if you’re losing and you can’t take it, then you deserve it.

We don't know when the tougher times of cryptocurrency begin or when it is gonna get to an end. Each and everything happens in an unpredicted time period. Very few get to know prior about the price fluctuations which is upon the continued analysis about the market moves. To handle tougher situations in my opinion is to hold the assets, because the market will retain after some time gap.
The thing is that you should just accept it whenever it happens, just take it that whatever that happens has happens and there is nothing you can do to reverse it. And that’s the truth, you can’t reverse it, it has already happened. If you’re in a position where you are losing money in cryptocurrency, all you have to do is have patience and up your games in the next time so that you don’t lose again.

The market of crypto-currencies will develop for a long time and we will see prices that amaze our imagination. Therefore, if you are not a good and experienced trader, then just wait until the price grows. And it will be sure!

Handling tough times in trading would also be needing a capability to handle our emotions towards it. I believe that upon joining trading, we should bear in mind that crypto is volatile and it is a part of it's volativity to change it's value any moment so we must all be emotionally prepared for any sudden changes. We must learn how to handle our emotions and be patient as well.

Try to avoid panicking and keep calm during the tough times here in crypto. Better handle your emotions as you do trading. It is normal that we might face tough times in crypto. The market isn't always green so we must always remember that it is too risky if we'll panic because it might just lead us to uncertain losses and situations.

As far as I know about this world, I think patience is the only trait of a trader that can help him out in hard situations. When you are planning something and your trading is just running good as per strategy, things are fine and your patience isn’t much compulsory. But in the case when things are little diverted or disturbed from plan, you need to go for a better patience level to save yourself.

I think you should just hold on for a long time and take a look at it as your first failure. I understand that feeling because I've made the same mistake.
So I recommend you analyze everything carefully before investing in anything. That's the only thing I want you to understand.

In my experience, I am handling it by just remaining calm. Instead of me being stressed and panicking, I would rather choose to be calm and relax and rather not to trade.

Never panic because it will be the main reason of your loss. Instead of panicking, just try to accumulate some more coins and then wait for the coin to rise again. One more, be patient especially when the market correction comes. At this moment, we are experiencing market correction so the best thing to do is to hold your coins or accumulate more if you have spare money to invest.

Split the money in to each 50% for day trading and 50% more for long term hold is better idea to make good profit. Many expert predicted the price will go to the $90k in next 2 years but at the moment no sign for that and no one know that become reality or not.

Involving in this technology is too risky because the prices is unpredictable and has a chances to loss our earnings at certain time, yes it's hard to handle situation because the market is so volatile and we don't even know what will happen in tough times. I think we can handle this by learning the insight and well mastered the following risk to continue working our way to handle tough times.

It depends on what coins you have. Yes, of course, part of the coins will be restored a long time, some coins may disappear. But there are coins that will grow and develop in the future. The market of crypto-currencies will develop for a long time and we will see prices that amaze our imagination. Therefore, if you are not a good and experienced trader, then just wait until the price grows. And it will be sure!

I agree with you mate! When you are in your losing point in this investment, do not ever try to get panic instead be more focused and try to think of an idea on how to move up. It is bothering that you are in that position but we have to always be prepared. We can not just put all eggs in one basket. Make sure to also invest in other kinds of coins or even tangible ones.

Maybe it would be better to start thinking why do you have tough times? Maybe you invested too much in some asset and you should review your investment portfolio
This tough times makes us to be stronger each day in cryptocurrency. When we involve in cryptocurrency never underestimate the market because the price in the exchange is changing. Exactly never invest too much especially if you are lack of funds.

I think you should just hold on for a long time and take a look at it as your first failure. I understand that feeling because I've made the same mistake.
So I recommend you analyze everything carefully before investing in anything. That's the only thing I want you to understand.
Same as you I prefer to hold instead of selling it low, when you see price of bitcoin is getting down then go for trading and take start with long term trading, try to know about rise and fall of bitcoin but never let it affect your profit, as don’t lose your emotion when price is low, don’t think about panic selling, don’t be greedy to sell early when price started to increase by holding with patience, so your patience can help you handle all kind of situations in bitcoin trading.

The only key in this crypto trading is, have patience and Hodl the coins. If you just check the prices, the bitcoin price is increasing every day. And there are huge traders everyday coming in and imagine, the 80% of population get into the crypto and the demand increases continuosly. As soon as the traders increases, the daily trading volume increases. Also the demand for crypto increases. The future is Blockchain, if it is blockchain without cryptocurrency nothing can be done as these two are interrelated. Just believe more and Hold it, I am holding now. I purchased BTC at 12000 USD.

Exactly. There's no need to worry about prices having dips because that's just the nature of bitcoin. What goes up must come down,as what they said.Instead,we should learn to understand the market and stay calm and relax whenever negative things happening.Bitcoin will not be forever in a low price, surely it will rise up again in just a couple of days or months.

Handle tough times in crypto by not panicking and selling while things are low.  There's still plenty of action on almost every coin to daytrade with, so you can focus more on that if you prefer.  Just don't get emotional.

Not all situations of traders would be similar as yours which there would be always an encounter either emotionally draining because of seeing your portfolio going on red or deep loss on a bear market. If you do already holding up for longer or lets say years where the profit was just enough to cover the bearish trend then that would be good because you are not stressed since you are still seeing positive but on over all its just like the same because profits would be still on loss.

It is really hard to be in this situation most especially during the entry in the resistance 2 level.  It is easy for to say to calm down but in reality if we are in this situation the normal reaction is lose control of the condition. In addition to hold the position maybe it is also a good practice to temporarily have a break in trading until such time you already know your next move.

It’s not really easy to handle a tough time, it’s always best to avoid it before it happens. I have learnt to be using one method and that is to withdraw and cut my loss short before it becomes a huge loss. When the price got to $19000 I was looking further to more upward movement, but it never showed signs of going further, rather it dropped to $18k, so I withdrew before more loss occurs. That was a huge profit I made back then, and I made more investments when the price went down.

How does Tether protect you from cryptocurrency volatility?

Tether moves across blockchain easily much like any other digital currencies. Tether currency isn’t money but they’re digital tokens designed to work on blockchains. It holds their value at 1:1 ratio to the underlying assets.

In order to keep your cryptocurrency safe and to lock in gains without bearing loss, there are two options:

1. Keep moving the money to another cryptocurrency, like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc.

When you gain after investing in one cryptocurrency you want to take an advantage of another cryptocurrency. Not moving ahead from the cryptocurrency that has already given you enough gains, is a type of risk. For example, if you look at some of the coins, the prices are dropped by almost 50% after a certain period of time due to the high volatility of the cryptocurrency market.

In Tether there is an opportunity to earn. Where the Tether hold 1:1 (1 USDT is equal to 1 USD, at all times).

So, to keep moving your gains from one cryptocurrency to another would be much better than bearing the loss.

2. Transfer the money to your own bank account.

There are enough possibilities for the price to fall as rapidly as it rose before. So, it becomes a primary concern to stay safe and profitable.

However, ETH-USD is pulling itself to reach $480, so we can take an advantage of this opportunity.

If you sell BCH-USD and transfer the money to your bank account, then it can take several days before you can execute another cryptocurrency trade. Let’s take one example: If you buy Ethereum through Coinbase and move it to a different exchange to trade for other cryptocurrencies, this process from a Coinbase will take 3 - 4 days to complete a transaction and again if you want to buy BCH-USD, and again it will take 3 – 4 days to complete a transaction.

Yes, it's time-consuming but one of the best ways to stay safe.

For me, the best thing to do is to find coin that is worth your bitcoin. Search a coin that you think will give you huge profits. Begin by reading their white paper and checking if their is a niche market with their platform. Because waiting for bitcoin to rise as of now will give you little profit and you need to wait longer for that to happen. Just take the risk and diversify to minimize lose.

Actually, in my two years of doing crypto, I have come to figure out that the best solution when there are tough times is to keep on holding and pause all the transactions that I will be having like trading. The Market will probably be down for years to come due to Mt. Gox. It will be the biggest crypto bear market in history into the foreseeable future. What will make it rise is more true long term investors, and then the speculators and fomo will come around as usual until the bush is hacked down again. I don't see long term investment rising in the crypto markets for some months and years to come though.

What else can you do? Is there really an option? It is just to wait. That is what investment is all about. Patience.
Or you could buy some more to add to that profit that you will have once the price suddenly pumps again. We all hope for that but it doesnt happen as how we just wanted it to. There are still a lot out there who are bagged with a lot of coins and then suddenly sells if they need to.

During tough times like this, you should be patient. It is very sad to see your investments reducing at larger percentages but it will b e lot more sad to sell at lower prices now and wake up to see a huge rise in market prices. It is best to stay calm for now and buy more at these lower prices so you can smile later when market gets better.

If you have times, use half of your Bitcoin  for doing day trading  to increase amount of BTC. Bitcoin market will keep growing  exponential  because  this is new technology that will be more people in the world interesting  in to it. Bitcoin still has potential to going up multiple times. By increase amount of BTC you will get alot of profit when the price reach  $50k.

You're right I think there's no other safer option other than be patient and restrain, if you want to choose other options like buying.
it may be at high risk but there is still a possibility of profit, if you just want something safe then wait and be patient mate

Wherever industry you are into, there is always tough times and that is something we must learn to handle with. In bitcoin for instance, now that we are in red days, patience and determination is the key. If you have enough capital then it's time buy coins but if you opt to be safer then just hold your coins till the price gets high again.

"Hope for the best, prepare for the worst and capitalise what comes" - Zig Ziglar

This is one of the best advice I read in last few years. I have been through the tough situations multiple times (and if you are a newbie in crypto then you will go through such situations more often). We must realise that a tough situation is not really tough if you have the ability to deal with it and one should always focus on gaining the skills, knowledge & experience to deal with problems. There is no alternate way to deal with the tough situation other than enhancing our knowledge base in multiple aspects.

Buying options into these dips arent too simple because we would definitely be worried and things comes to mind what if the price would drop even more which would add up on the stress you are recently feeling on.
We dont really have any options but to be patient and resist temptation to sell on loss.I know its really very hard but we need to resist if we dont like to suffer loss on our investments. As long we arent selling we arent losing.

The only thing which will help you in dealing the market value of the crypto currencies is having the right amount of knowledge regarding the things which can help you in making the right choice especially at time when the market value of the crypto currencies is falling as most of the investors fail to make the right choice and that because of which they lose their money and then feel regret.

Tough times are only for those who invest more that they can afford to lose. Last Year same period BTC price  was 2.500 $ now is 6.500 $ so I would not call it tough times rather business as usual. After 7 months of  parabolic rise this kind of correction is normal.

I think that in this difficult period of the market you should limit the transaction and always ready to trade when the market shows signs of recovery, bitcoin prices are going through the past days and this is the time for you. can start the transaction. I believe the bitcoin price will be able to rebound to the $ 9000 level before falling sharply.

After experiencing a lot of crashing moments in the crypto market, I know now what to do and that is to take a short leave. Because what's the point of checking the market every minute? I will only check it once a week and I will waste most of my time getting depressed at all the reds.

In situation like this, it is very normal for people to pull out their investments to avoid losing everything.  For me, I would be so worried if it is only bitcoin that's crashing. But it's not that way. It is obviously a red market for cryptocurrencies. So I'll just leave it there. I'll relax and wait for the market to gain again.

In tough times like this I do't gamble too much, I don't want to take a risk. But, I buy more ETH in times like this at $425 USD, its seldom that you see ETH this low. Other Crypto in the top 10 list is also on bargain lately. Weekeds is a good time to buy at low price and expect on weekdays to slightly recover.

well, for sure the situation in crypto world isn't bright at all, but I think we'll see it's improvement by the end of the year. Despite the fact that capitalization has decreased from 300$ dollars to 250$ dollars within just a month, the amount of money involved in crypto is still huge. Don't panic. I think holding is the best strategy at the moment.

It’s now not definitely easy to deal with a hard time, it’s usually excellent to keep away from it before it occurs. i have learnt to be using one approach and this is to withdraw and reduce my loss quick before it turns into a big loss. whilst the fee got to $19000 i was looking in addition to more upward motion, however it in no way showed signs of going in addition, instead it dropped to $18k, so I withdrew before more loss takes place. That changed into a large income I made lower back then, and that i made greater investments when the fee went down.

It's kind of depressing when we are already down and we read more negative news so the best way to counter the tough times in crypto is to zoom out those charts and have a point of view for the long term because even if we are more than half down from the all time high, there are still people who believe in cryptocurrency and these are people who already made a name in the industry. First you should not be in the position if you have a stop loss but since you are already there switching your strategy  to investing will be an okay strategy because sooner or later the market will recover. As of now you only have paper loss and you will only lose real money when you click that sell button.

handling tough times is more likely handling the pressure in the market, the market is very simple, invest when the market price is dumping and sell it again when it goes up, the problem will only occur if you cannot handle your patience when the market price are decreasing.

So did you keep on holding or just sold your Bitcoin already? I wonder of how many of us feel become so much disappointed now if they keep on holding too just to counter this hard times as the Bitcoin price falls already as low as $5,800. This is very much difficult to handle than before in which the price is at $10,000 that i was very confused on what to do now either to sell it or to keep on holding my Bitcoin as i feel that it will dips more.

Definitely still holding no matter what will happen unless there is an indication of going up.  Its getting mad if we saw market continuously dropping,  I'm not pretty sure everyone can manage to hold tight or they might get loose and sell off their tokens. We are not particularly in charge of bringing the entire market,  and we never take risk without chances of having something in returns.  Thus, if we can manage to face this crisis, it surely we will be rewarded in the end.

Yeah , right and here we are not only particular numbers of person who are facing such types of loss that who didn't lost the opportunity to sell bitcoin and buy before all time high , here many of the people are like us .
And in Present time those people are in big problem of loss who bought at all time high , but here a big solution of your problem is that if we can work in every field of this field then we can make much earnings and to do work in multiple projects ( trading , bounty , Investment in new ne projects ) Result into stable earnings .
So better to adopt all possible ways also to make earnings , otherwise it will not be easy for us to handle the profit and loss in this field of the cryptocurrency because it is full of fluctuations and prediction are very rare to happen true .

We can't do anything if the price is declining and it's hard to stay positive when you see your assets go down si better to disconnect from time to time

My suggestion is to try not to look on the price alone,  but also study some things about your favourite projects this would help you to feel more confident about them, than if you would look only on the price of a token.

Even if it is about the remaining crypto, I would follow the same strategy of not selling. For Bitcoin, we should understand that the market will rise again because the technology is wide spread and people around the world have been using it for so many purposes that it looks inevitable to disagree to the statement that the market will not recover. I hope we will have a boom in the near future.

My suggestion is to try not to look on the price alone,  but also study some things about your favourite projects this would help you to feel more confident about them, than if you would look only on the price of a token.

It can be the least that a trader can do because believing in a project you invested can motivate you to keep holding. Or if someone is still not used from volatility, he should be just take a break so he won't panic when he see the price. Just have a break from cryptos and come back when everything is fine.

Well, to me I think we should focus on the other benefits of blockchain and cryptocurrencies apart from seeing it as investments. There are other impacts that we can use to make the world better but we all focus much on the huge profits return and that's killing us. If we see huge profits as an additional benefits and not the sole benefits, we'll feel better somehow

Shut down your computer(s), turn on a silent mode on your telephone(s), and get some sleep. ;) That'll do you good. Don't forget to get something to eat when you wake up before turning your communication devices on  8)
Seriously, though, I believe you should never invest more than you can afford to lose. An old truth that happens to work.

Is this times when the ambition is very important but not always big enough to motivate you to move forward, you should also not be too focused with the rise and fall in prices that will make you weak, and it's good you to do research and learn anything that can be useful to the business you.Whenever I am seeing that my investment is losing. whenever I am losing hope of feeling down I am just staring at my family and seeing what I would love to see in their face after many years.

well, for sure the situation in crypto world isn't bright at all, but I think we'll see it's improvement by the end of the year. Despite the fact that capitalization has decreased from 300$ dollars to 250$ dollars within just a month, the amount of money involved in crypto is still huge. Don't panic. I think holding is the best strategy at the moment.
Tough time will require your knowledge of trading and market rules and guiding principles, if you are aware and have knowledge of these things then you can face any tough situations. On the other hand without having the basic knowledge of the market one can not survive in the market of cryptocurrency and will trap in problems which will result in huge loss or simply loss.

If you are confident with Your investment based on research and studying the market you will know what to do when tough times come .

If you are always worrying about the market prices then the best thing to do is just read different positive speculations in order to determine what will happen in the prices for the next few months.

It's kind of depressing when we are already down and we read more negative news so the best way to counter the tough times in crypto is to zoom out those charts and have a point of view for the long term because even if we are more than half down from the all time high, there are still people who believe in cryptocurrency and these are people who already made a name in the industry. You just need to watch and read the opinion of those positive people so that you can be inspired too and believe that this is just a temporary hiccup.
Keep calm and trust that things will turn out to be on our favorable side at the course of time. It can be challenging yet if we get to remind ourselves of what our purpose is then it can lessen the disappointments and can make us decide wisely to take on new challenges. It's not going to be easy, but it's important to face the situation bravely, learn from it, grow from it, and serve it as a motivation to be stronger and be more determined.

If you're having problems with the negative news that's surrounding btc, then avoid reading. Unsubscribe from social media pages and lessen the times you peek at your wallet. We can't do anything if the price is declining and it's hard to stay positive when you see your assets go down si better to disconnect from time to time
In order to face with difficulties and problems we must be learning about the market rules and principles because you can not make proper and well decisions you are with little knowledge or not enough knowledge. It means that you are not in the position to trade so it will be good for you not to trade now and to learn and experience first. Just stay calm and never take tension because we know the market will increase once again after this downfall.

I try not to dwell too much on though. My best advice is to forget all youtube channels you watch- as most just give total paid hype BS, don't look at delta folio and don't check trading view and coin market cap every day. I have done this and focused on researching projects and writing articles on them promoting my own work, TBH I cant even tell you the price of BTC at the moment as it does not matter to me. I believe in the tech enough to not care about short-term price action. I hope this comforts you somehow.

Well, for me, I just take a step back and look at the bigger picture. I try to actually see what'st the best move I can do and follow through that. In this market, there is no sense actually sobbing how the market is doing because that's just how it works. The market and many of its coins maybe down for a while, but anytime, you can see it rise and recover. You just have to be ready to seize those opportunities because that's the best thing to do. Also, avoid doing silly actions like panic selling.

I am also there but I never sell my coin at panic because selling in hard time will give me more and more lose only, I try o buy some bitcoin when I see the market is getting red and price of bitcoin is falling down, because I know this time is just for the temporary and soon I will get goof profit for holding it.

Depends on your economical situation. If you need the money, well first of all you shouldn't have gotten into crypto with money you needed, than you can cash it out and leave because there is nothing you can do. If however you do not need the money, than you would have to wait it out.

I mean what are the other options, if markets go down and you need the money than you will have to cash out because you need the money, otherwise don't be silly and wait until the prices go back up and you can profit again.

If I think at such times we do not get carried away in a panic situation, because it can hurt us ourselves, trading is full of risks we can lose all capital because of this risk, but behind the risk there is a big advantage we have. to make the right decision for ourselves because every step we take. So we do not follow the emotion to sell in a state of loss.

It's sort of discouraging when we are as of now down and we read more antagonistic news so the most ideal approach to counter the extreme circumstances in crypto is to zoom out those graphs and have a perspective for the long haul on the grounds that regardless of whether we are the greater part down from the record-breaking high, there are still individuals who have confidence in digital money and these are individuals who officially made a name in the business.

I agree with your opinion, in order to handle tough times, we should not get carried away by our emotions, we should not panic because it may lead to a bigger loss. We should stick in our strategy instead of straying from it. As we panic, different decision comes to our mind, and I agree that we should not let our emotion decide, we should wait till we're calm, then decide.

Everything will never be as simple as what you say, the price on the market is constantly putting pressure on us, over time, the crisis in us is bigger than ever, selling in panic is always a way to free our souls. Although we know this action is unwise, but endures enormous pressure from the market is beyond our limits, I am also a person who has existed in trading for a long time but sometimes I am still scared with bad times, which is very normal, what I can do to cope is just resting in the long run, limiting the frequency and exposure to trading, it helps me soothe the panic, being calm and completely eliminating emotion is something I can not do

It relies upon what altcoins you have. Indeed, some portion of the altcoins will be reestablished quite a while, a few of it may vanish. In any case, there are some that will develop and create later on. The market of cryptographic forms of money will produce for quite a while and we will see costs that astound our creative energy. In this way, on the off chance that you are not a decent and experienced trader, at that point simply hold up until the point when the cost develops. For sure it will gain in the near future.

To handle the bad time in cryptocurrency, you have to keep updating yourself about the market. Always try to learn the crypto market price chart, how it works, try to learn market analyze and then you can handle the bad time. For example, when you see the crypto market is going down and your analysis says that market will go more down then you have to convert your coin to USD! And when the price will start rising then again convert your USD to that coin and enjoy the profit. Maybe you got my point   ;)

Always keep some fiat money (or Tether!) to rebuy in times like these. This will grant you a very nice profit. I was able to increase the amount of coins in my portfolio by +30% since January.

Never panic and stay calm until prices explode again.  8)

True,  do not panic during tough times,  it will not help but will cause more losses if you are going to sell your coins. That is correct, keep your money with you and buy at the very low price to gain a lot.

In the Cryptocurrency market, when you are in a losing position, you should hold them. The Cryptocurrency market is constantly changing and the prices of altcoins are always falling or rising strangely. So hold on until the price goes up, hold it as long as possible. I am sure the good results will come to those who have patience in investing.

In my opinion the best decision is to hold. If you have invested in a good and reputed cryptocurrencies, it will not remain down forever. It is sure to correct and rise. You just need to have some patience. This fear of losing more is the major reason for further falls in the value of cryptocurrencies. You need to understand that once you sold your holding or investments at loss, it would become very difficult to recover them all over again. Think of cryptos as an investment instead of getting it into small and short term trades think about long term.

You're right, we need to have such strong determinations for us to achieve more long term goals in crypto. And that short term trades doesn't have a good effect on the market right now, and in fact it worsen the current situation which dipped the price value as well. Although the recovery was hard to ride on specially those traders who wanted lots of profit, but they should learn how to adjust the current idea because of factors to consider on.

That is right and could not agree more. Tough times in crypto can be handles by staying positive about the investment you have made and not loosing hope and trust in some thing you are passionate about. Besides, in the red market, holding is a best strategy which helps you avoid the loss. It is like you invest in property and wait until the value goes high and you cash it. Same is the case with crypto. We might have a good market soon till December and all the loss people have incurred in crypto will recover.

In crypto exchange we can only make profit when the price going up, so when the price any sign to continue going down is better cut loss it and buy back at lower price. Or we can move that BTC to others platform like Bitmex that possible to make profit from bearish market, we can increase amount of BTC in this platform by make long and short potition with options to use margin level. As most traders here would say, never spend something in trading wherein you cant afford to loose. And since the price of bitcoin now has been stable at around $6k+, I think it would be better to hold on to your coins for a much longer time because the increase is not happening that soon yet.

You know guys is cryptocurrency there are no such thing as "sure money". If now you have thousands of dollars maybe sooner or later it will consumed all and you don't' know when is the next payment you will received, that is the time the "tough days" will come. So I suggest, if you have some money now, do not consumed it all for nothing, instead invest it to some business or maybe just save it. In crypto, we can't expect something sure unless you are already billionaire.

My experience when trading Cryptocurrency when the coin I bought and the next day his coins 10% decreased his estimate then I Stoploss, because if falling too deep then the bigger when I stoploss.

For the current time, where the Bearish market then I suggest it to hold more FIAT than Cryptoucrrency, because now if holding Cryptocurrency is too dangerous because the price is getting down and down.

I believe analyzing the price and anticipating whether it will go down or up is the best thing to do because you'll know whether to buy in or not. Also if your investment is bitcoin dont worry in losing profit because it will eventually recover this is how it always been for bitcoin. I suggest cutting your loses in unknown alts and diversify your investment in popular ones.

It is best to hold. That is the best way to avoid losses. Long-term investment is a highly valued strategy in the Cryptocurrency market. The holding period is from 2-3 years. It is a perfect time to get great returns from your portfolio. Besides, you have to trust your portfolio and be less anxious. you will succeed. ;)

Trading is a profession and for becoming a professional you need to work hard, learn and practices, you need to study the market every time. it is not just to buy and sell, but you need to get different information about the market from different places. you need to get the opinion and analysis of the expert people and only then you may be succeeded in trading.

It takes patience to go through all these hard times in crypto currency. It is not easy as many thinks it is. That’s why you’re being told to invest the amount you can afford to lose in case things don’t go as planned. Always invest money that won’t affect you later if it doesn’t work out or if you lose it.

But if you invest all you have out of greediness ,then I’m very sorry for you cause you will regret later. As for now, all we need is patience, and things will get better soon.

The fine element to do in tough times in cryptocurrency is live calm, compose and don't panic. so that you can suppose genuinely. and you'll not cause a decision that you will remorse within the destiny.

Cryptocurrency has no tough time if you are here for benefit only otherwise it has tough situations for you if you are here for high market expectations only. If you are here for benefit then you will always choose low market for buying process which will give you coins in large quantity using low amount as compared to that of buying in high market. so high market is always a benefit besides which you can make the low market a benefit for yourself too.

Digital currency has no extreme time in the event that you are here for advantage just else it has intense circumstances for you on the off chance that you are here for high market desires as it were. On the off chance that you are here for advantage then you will dependably pick low market for purchasing process which will give you coins in substantial amount utilizing low sum when contrasted with that of purchasing in high market. so high market is dependably an advantage other than which you can make the low market anadvantage for yourself as well.

The answer is very simple but the most don't do. Be patient & calm. It's the most important strategy in this field as per my experience. Also stick in to it without being emotional with market fluctuations. Always invest a percentage from your savings that you can loss. Not the full bag. One more important fact that most of traders don't do, They don't keep some amount of USDT saved to buy the most important coins when the market is in dip. Keep an eye on the market dip to identify the buying points as well as the selling points when market is in up trend. Stick to these rules. You may apply some other important proven theories. Always be patient & do not panic. Wish you successful trading.

Yes it is a good way to handle & grow your portfolio by doing bounties. If you know the importance of Holding your valuable assets & not to sell in bearish market you can win. If you had invested your savings & the market is down still hold your bags. Also invest some good alts if you have more savings in a bear market. It is advisable doing bounty & collecting some good amount of coins. Convert them in to BTC or ETH or whatever you like. If you are spending more time on crypto, doing bounty is ideal. Patience is the key. Don't do panic selling. Use your time to upgrade your skills in this tough time.

It's kind of demoralizing when we are starting at now down and we read more opposing news so the best way to deal with counter the extraordinary conditions in crypto is to zoom out those diagrams and have a point of view for the whole deal in light of the fact that paying little mind to whether we are the larger part down from the record-breaking high, there are still people who believe in computerized cash and these are people who formally made a name in the business.
If you succeed in facing with tough situations then think that you are going well and have the ability to face with any kind of situations. Now if a person fails to face with any tough situations then he should work on his knowledge to make it perfect which will keep you safe through out your investment and you will successfully reach at your goal. Remember that your protective coat is your knowledge so never ignore it.

I won't lose hope and would continue to strive for what I want here in crypto. I am a person who would want to earn better through crypto so I have entrusted my future finances and plans in it. I strongly believe that it won't fail me so I am just patiently waiting for the best time.
The tough time was in the start of this year when the [price dropped from $20000 to $6000. Many people lost their money and many of them sold their coins to save their remaining money. But those who hold their coins till date are happy because the price is growing and soon they will recover their losses and will even earn money. Good traders can recover their deficits in shorter time.

There are a handful of options, but the best option available is of course to keep hodling and wait for the prices to start bouncing back. There is no problem with the crypto market. The movements right now are not happening for the first time. All these have happened already several times in the past. There are no difficult times
It is important to understand that the markets are cyclical, and this is a normal reaction after such a strong growth
Yes, there are currently no good opportunities for buying coins
So why do not you sell them? at a price drop, too, you can earn
There are already many sites where you can sell, there are futures, they can also be short
You definitely have to develop rules for trading, and then sell (this should be a ready and tested system)
Working in both directions (selling and buying) you will get much more opportunities
And you can have your own strategy to earn in the "long run"
there are no markets that are constantly growing - remember this
To create any strategy, you need a material, a foundation, a basis
It can be found on various resources devoted to commerce, http://www.insiderport.com/
Just look for stuff on Youtube,
be sure to develop risk management rules

Patience and coolness will help you to handle tough times. If you want to earn money you will have to bear tough situation of the market. Be optimistic about the bright future of bitcoin. However, during this deep, you can decide to buy more so average your cost and have a better position on your holdings. This is just my opinion

I think that you can handle the dough time by ignoring that you  are trading some bitcoin, because the only way which let you successful in trading is to wait for the correct time for buying or selling to make profit. You need to wait for the price to increase when there is panic selling in the market.

You just need to be constantly preaching to yourself that all the signs are showing our perspectives and possibilities of cryptocurrency to become something big in this world, so it is the matter of time and nothing more than that.

I believe in BTC for now the price is no sign of an upward movement but it has become a natural thing considering every year the BTC pattern is always like that, waiting for good news and technology upgrades to lift prices and see the supply that will decrease every blockhalv
as long as BTC is useful then the BTC will stay alive, that's why I believe in BTC

Yes we often face tough time in trading and it is important to handle it in a good way, otherwise it can affect our trading too much. To me I that one of the important strategy should be that we should stay calm in the market and should not get panic which be too much helpful in handling the tough time in trading.

Learning how to control our emotions in trading would be a helpful step for us to handle tough times here in crypto world. Sometimes, panicking is just a reason why we think that we're lossing everything. We must deal with the changes that crypto might bring us. We should dance with the votality of crypto.

You are asking whether to HODL or not to HODL. I believe that the entire decision depends on you alone. Dealing with cryptocurrency cash is not a new thing again but some seem not to have gotten use to it, though i don't blame them.No one will ever get use to loosing money knowing that your 10k just turned 1k within minutes. Losing is one thing but staring at it is another. So best thing is just walk away and stop staring at your money as it is losing value.

Investing Crypto is a long term game and you cannot expect something to rise all the time. Long term, it is moving up but there will always be challenging times that you have to be prepared on. If you are confident with Your investment based on research and studying the market you will know what to do when tough times come .

I always have stop loss at the entry price to prevent a bad situation but if there's a situation where i forget to set it and i'm sitting on some loses, i will see if the price will go down much more or not, if yes then i will just cut losses and find another trading opportunity rather than holding for a really long time. It's better to use your money to trade something else rather than waiting for the coin to move up again in a bear market.

There are three options, to buy, to sell and to hold, selling by far is the worst option you will lose money and you will never get your money back, buying is the best since it allows you to get bitcoin for a very cheap price but at the same time it is the most risky, holding is the easiest because you have to do nothing but it is also the most difficult to do because you need to hold for years if you want to recover your money.

Holding wont really be the easiest and among these 3 options you do mentioned aren't too simple for you to make but the most easiest or nearly thing that you will make is on selling your tokens yet this do involve emotions which selling your coins the most probable thing that you would done. Buying- If you can still afford to risk inspite of the negative you are seeing on your port then its your choice. Holding- the most hard part yet emotions would be your main enemy.

Most of the time I understand what was happening on this so it doesn't affect me emotionally since I didn't invest too much on this because I'm working on in airdrops and bounties. It is really sad what was happening on the market and in the industry of cryptocurrency but it is very natural for me since like hard cash it inflates and changes its value once the volume of supply was too many.

Well practice making small trades. If you don't want to hold, there's still opportunities of making small profits with this market. Though for some, the risk to reward ratio won't be worth taking.

You know that bear is part of the market, if I’m on the losing position I will just keep on holding and wait for the market to rise again because I can’t afford to lose so I have no choice but to hold for more months or even years.

To solve that problem, it seems that you should be able to implement short-term trading or make use of the slightest movement in several types of coins in the exchange place so that you can benefit from your trading capital. when you have trading capital don't let you just stay quiet and not try to grow the assets that you have.

Today's price stagnation will need patience, because if you  really make a false move you might end up, losing and that is not option, but you also be vigilant because the price is very volatile there might be  a sudden swing, but for me as a believers of cryptocurrency while the price is at the bottom you should buy and dump at the right moment that's the basic strategy.

I think since we are in the field of trading industry were it involves on investment scheme,
we must know and aware that in every business there is risk, then as a traders/investors/capitalist we supposed to be ready
on the loss we afford to give in on this concepts. Although, the market in crypto now was honestly downfall as in

to sell our hold coins.

To handle tough times in crypto-currency you need to sell all your coins and tokens before their prices fall in crypto-exchange markets. In this case your psychological state will be fine, and you will not call these times tough. On the contrary, you will probably wait for a good opportunity to buy some promising crypto-currencies again.

Personally I sell my coins even if I am wary of a bear market coming soon.

Cryptocurrency let's say, you really need to have patience because what ever goes down will surely come back up. One don't need to panic when landing on the loosing side, is just to keep still and don't keep looking on your portfolio always.

Could it be the right choice with holding? while prices continue to weaken throughout this time? Depending on the coin you are holding on.If price swings can go out on big pips or gaps then selling out some part would be the best option yet it can really give out the
chance to lessen the risk when the market tends or starts to fall rather than doing yourself holding purely for the whole time.
Sometimes holding too much do have significant disadvantages.

Yes, I agree. It depends on the coin itself because most people hold various coins and many of them hold low coin price which they bought at the high price. And if they sold in this time, they can get a big loss but I am sure that they can recover their losses by buying another coin which has a chance to increase at this moment. Holding the coins may be a bad idea, but we don't have a choice and if we cannot sell right now to cover the losses then hold is the answer.

But selling some part of the assets can be a good solution, and it will work well if we can trade in this time so slowly, we can recover our losses, but it doesn't guarantee for every trader to do this because it needs the skill to analyze the coins at the market. The best thing that we can do right now is only waiting, keep trying to buy the coin and sell if we have a chance.

How we get to be wiser on the hindsight of events after they unfold. Even the time the OP thought we were having a bad time was a favourable moment for cryptocurrency. No one saw this crippling moment coming in Bitcoin. I believe those who even foretold of a crash never expected it would get this bad. So, what do we do at a time like this? When the situation is bad and market red as now it's very important not to lose your patience and to control your emotions to avoid wrong decisions and panic selling. This is not always easy but these things come with experience.
Don't ever forget that investing in cryptocurrencies is risky and volatility is something that you should always count on. If you are not prepared for that you better don't go into it at all.

A lot of people keeps telling you the same story when you ask this question on what to do when things are getting rough like this, they keep telling you to hold your cryptocurrency. Cryptocurrency is a risky job to do, and if you are investing just have it in mind that you can lose that money at anytime.

When things gets rough and you can’t take that risk, then the best thing for you to do is to just withdraw the funds you have invested and keep it somewhere else where it will be safe till everything gets back to normal.

I advise you to keep coins and not sell them. Analyze the situation on the market and you will understand that this is a correction. If you do not know how to analyze, then learn. This knowledge will be useful to you.
Could it be the right choice with holding? while prices continue to weaken throughout this time? I choose to sell part of my assets then buy when prices go back down and sell it as much as possible when prices go up. it reduces losses a little bit. rather than just waiting when these bad conditions continue
Thats right. thats why I don't prioritize holding as the first choice. of course I will look at the market conditions of the coins I bought first. if the conditions get worse and there is nothing that can hold the price of that coin to stop going down then I'll sell it maybe everything. and look for other time and ways to recover losses

Soon we will mark a year jubilee. Almost 12 months have passed since that time when the market started the fall. Suppose, traders and investors had enough time to understand how to handle the stress.

In the event that there was outright sureness in Trading, trading couldn't exist. There is improving and diminishing probabilities and when combined with hazard the board, your trading procedure can be reliably beneficial, which is the manner by which a few people make a profession out of it.

Don't just rely in cryptocurrency investment. The best move is to invest not with your money but the excess money to your daily budget in order for you to hold in cryptocurrency. If you will sell all of your coins in the mpst cheapest price definitely, you just throw away your capital.
In addition diversification of portfolio is very important and must be seen as a backup in the world of cryptocurrency. I have not only invested on cryptocurrency but i equally invest into stock, any way is favorable to me at a time, which makes me be able to minimize my looses.

Well then, we are at the price of $4k. How was your investment going? I can feel the loss you have but let's just be strong to have patient that it will soon reach or surpass it's previous ATH for us to recover.

Hold your coin! If you are going to trade in cryptocurrency, be sure that you will input an enough capital. If you are in a long position, you can hold it till the market will be fine.  Well, it could take years before you will appreciate the market again. It will be tough for the market to recover specially that people are intimidated to invest.

We may not think for another ATH again as it hard to happen. In the even that regulation will started, we might see on the price controlled by the government and that's we worried about. I'll be satisfied even won't climb up high but at least we saw it in the range above $6k.

I feel you mate. For me, I just simply reset and destress before I go at it again. In any market, losses are always part as much as winning and being successful is, therefore, if you really want to be in a better state as you are now, you would try to find and embrace the good with the bad, especially in this prevailing market situations. I think as an investor, it's important to actually try to find small steps to success rather than always eyeing to strike it rich in one big jackpot. Also, we have to adjust to what the market needs. We can't confine ourselves to how it was before, when everything was easy because it's just so different now.

Try to earn cash in other realms and then invest in crypto. Now really is a good time to buy more crypto and wait for the more expensive  price.  Moreover, if you are ready you can start trading in order to earn some experience. The price of tokens are not very high, that's why losses woun't be very big.

The best way to handle tough times in crypto to analyze the situation and adopt to it. We have to be prepared for each scenarios. Simple holding is not the smartest strategy in a bearish market. Other options are trading, shorting or staying away of such a market, otherwise we can lose a lot from our investment.

I also bought crypto when the price was expensive and now the price continues to fall, I think the same believes if crypto still has the potential to rise and develop then we just need to wait for the price to improve and we get a profit target

Indeed. There's a lot of traders out there who we're able to earn a lot even at this tough times. If a you cant go with the current flow then just stand still and don't do anything or else if you trade without being careful of your moves, you might end up losing more in the long run.

for a holder, of course taking the option to hold down when prices fall is a common choice and recommendation, but for short term traders certainly hold not a good choice, because they don't know how long prices will fall and recover. Another option for a short term trader is to find a price that is high enough for a cutlose

That just a lesson for someone who uses cryptocurrency as source income, indeed, the decision is not wrong if he has a large hoard to meet his needs when the bearish market comes. I guess many people who only depend on cryptocurrency and then look for other place to be used as a source of income. I do not dismiss when a bull run come, so every cryptocurrency user will get a lot of profit, like today when the price of bitcoin and altcoin decreases and for those who have bought it will get a big profit, although with epoch that cannot be determined.

Bitcoin will always be rewarding for some in short time if you are lucky to just enter before bull run and for some in the long run . It will help you to make money on your investment but only thing we should be holding it and have patience as due to volatility it rises and fall quickly .

Honestly, I lost good amount of money and thatvwas really stressful. But luckily I got the strategy of the proper trading, this time I am testing the Bitgap platform while it is free now. Its actually good since this allows me to see different price from different top exchanges and do buy and sell easily. The platform is really helpful, looks promising and continuously developing. Another that may cause stress on you, few months ago I lost an amount suddenly because of the exchange I have used. Just want to warn you to do no keep on storing funds for long term in an exchange better if you coykd transfer it in an open source wallet like HODLER WALLET or Electrum.

If you invested little percentage of your net worth, you wouldn’t be worrying too much about the price that is down right now. Next time if you want to invest, go with as little as 1% to 5% and not more than that, so that no matter what happens, you wouldn’t feel bad about it and you will also be able to hold it for a long time till you get profit. And always have backup, keep some coins in tether and have some fiat in case…

Yes it is right that we must be able to divide the portion of the investment that we have. Don't invest too much because as we know that the risk of investing in the world of cryptocurrencies has a high risk. Share some of the assets we have and make a safe limit to something with our abilities. Don't overdo it and don't be greedy, we will get satisfying results when we can make the best decisions possible.

There were a lot of decisions made. Some sold their BTCs and other coins right at the breaking of the ATH. Some also sold theirs after a month or two of serious dip. And then there were a lot of people who believed that the last ATH will once again come back after 6 months at most of red candles. They were left hanging as they kept on HODLing to their coins despite the very sad reality of the market that lasted for a year. I was one of them. The next thing that I thought was necessary after suffering a big loss was to keep on HODLing until the market recovers. I am still a strong believer of crypto, especially of BTC, that's why I don't mind waiting for a little more while. At the end of the day, the prices will always come back and even surpassed.

The first thing to do when the market is going down is to cash out your money 💰. Whenever you noticed the market is unstable the first to do is cash out all your money to cut loses. If you don't cash out in time you'll end up losing lots of the money while all the market smart cash out their money.

In any market, there are never tough times for those willing to trade both sides. That being said, I don't consider myself a pro at margin trading. I have known thanks to my research and deep disgust of present financial system that crypto is the future. Back when I invested, I put in a very small amount of fiat which I was always willing to lose. I've also been lucky in the sense that I didn't time my entry into the market but even in the worst of the bear markets, I was never under water so it has always been a numbers game for me without emotions coming into play.

Traders will have to move according to those trading strategies which they are having a plan to trade for the long term they can handle that time by holding because this way you will not have to struggle more than just holding. I use to face it with help of holding and making a plan as buy cheap and hold until it rises huge to max increase.

It's imppossible to do anything when we're actually losing just as you have said and the reason is because we have no effect on the price of cryptocurrencies and also based on its unpredictable nature
And since we cannot change a falling price and revert our loss, its best to adopt strategies that reduce such loses, such as the stop loss technique and investing with a small amount of money

As trader, that does not mean we must always actively make sell and buy orders. Sometimes we also have to wait for the right time to return to the trading platform again. So, to overcome the tough times, we can do other activities, entertainment things will be better.
There’s a thing called long term trading because the market will not always move in favor to your target price so we really need to wait for the right time before we trade again. Its good that we should look for other things and don’t just give up because of the market trend. Tough time will make us better for the future, you should treat it well.

Just keep watching the market and HODL!
Either you can hold or sell. If you are optimistic that it will not fall to much then you can but if it seems that it will drop too much then why hold. Just sell it and again buy it once you think it will move. And, also you can use stop loss formula.

I think we should not continue trading or investing anymore. Let your mind rest for a while until you prepare for a powerful return.
Don't force yourself to do what you don't want to do. Stop trading and observe it. I believe that in a short time, you will be able to design your new strategy and it will work.

The best to do is to sell off and then buy the dip and sell off at reverse and then repeat the cycle. Alternatively be patient and allow the bear trend to end then come the bull trend where profit is assured.

Theres no other way to stop trading and just buy coins to hold in your folio

And stop checking the market price from time to time so you will refrain from seeing some panicking issues just like what i am doing in this very moment  because i cant stand losing continuously

You probably make sense with your saying but the selling off don't work sometimes if the crypto investors or traders in charge don't carefully study the trend which the market pose at that moment cause the crypto market is full of many possibility which we both know. However, I believed controlling ones feeling in terms of thirsty of making profit while gradually seize every moment is the best way to handle every tough times in crypto currency.

Passion is the only thing to keep a person for staying with this kind of scenario or situation. If you're at the losing position and you aren't used to it, then you will end up losing everything from any field you choose to go so. The best thing you could do to handle the tough times in cryptocurrency is to be passionate about it and persevere with security. Even though you lose, you have to stand up and become a winner. Don't give up and just keep it. Look for any options you could do to stay and find another field to aid the losses.

To handle that situation we will made lots of patient it will be recommended by the experience in people also so I also think if we had patient level want then hire you can definitely solve any problem that happened to your investment and in cryptocurrency field but be only with patient is also not valuable at one time we need to make good decision using your patience will be the meaning for that.

what I will do if we lose in trading, then we can maneuver quickly,
I will trade in some coin which I consider useful, I will not use all the money I have because the potential losses can come suddenly,
so make observations with very thorough and made a prediction to be a guide for me to trade.

In the case of crypto currency, if you are in a losing position, that is, you simply do not sell your assets, then you can only wait for their growth

its already given that the market is in tough times or dump in short .  so my question is how can you possibly trade ? you will only continue to loose more if you insist to do it  . the best way to combat tough times is by not doing any risky activity such as selling although you can buy as many as you want  . going offline for awhile can also help you calm down and relax  .   sometimes we need it becuase bad vibes can only make the situation worst  .

Well it's already obvious to everybody that crypto, bitcoin mainly, is not in a very good state. The last time it was in the same kind of movement was when it steadied itself around 6k for more than a month. Not it's stagnating around 3.5k. I just hope it doesn't make any drastic dumps this time.

Try to research and get more knowledge about projects, cryptos, exchanges. The more you know, the more you secure and will get more profit. Also try to take part in a bounties ( reccomend from Huobi Russia ). During it you will get much more information, and will decide, to take part in ICO for example. Also you will understand, to stay in a crypto or leave it. It's all up to you!
